Enjoyed the first installment of this series.
**Summary** ***MAJOR SPOILERS***
Zara and Harlow are identical Omega sisters, and “wards of the state so to speak” so they live in a sanctuary for Omegas…that is anything BUT a sanctuary! The Omegas are literally taught nothing other than how to please their intended Alpha/s AND when they reach “maturity” are sold off like cattle to the highest bidder!! The Omegas with high Omega blood work (more pure) go for MUCH MORE! Harlow’s “big day” comes and she’s petrified, but her sister Zara is even more scared for her because Harlow’s blood work is extremely high and she’s been therefore bid/bought by a PACK of Alphas not just one. This pack has a fearsome reputation for HATING Omegas and treating them horribly!! You see, Omegas are taught that to please their Alphas they need to be seen not heard and better at sex than a paid professional, ohhhh, and the most important thing; BEAR MORE OMEGA BABIES, because only Omegas can take an Alpha not (and not without help from a medical serum) and bear Omega offspring.
Zara devises this complicated plan that she doesn’t tell Harlow about until it’s too late. She SWITCHES herself for Harlow, therefore sacrificing herself for her sister and goes off with the “evil pack.” But there is an accident and Zara, who everyone believes is Harlow is killed, along with one of her Alpha’s mothers. A year later, it’s Harlow’s turn her REAL TURN. And there is no sister to save her and she’s “alone” scared and misses her twin sister. But Harlow who has an open and trusting heart resolves to try to make the best of the situation and perhaps even see the best in her Alphas (even if Alphas scare her). She’s immediately bought by her dead sisters pack, and learns soon enough it was for purely the sake of “torture.” You see their lead Alpha’s mother was killed (murdered everyone thinks by Zara) and Thayne - the lead Alpha is actually the Alpha-of-all-Alphas, a big deal…think president of their nation type of thing. He buys Harlow with the intention of getting a child on her (his mother had desperately wanted grandchildren and he wants to fulfill her dying wish) and then either KILLING Harlow and taking the baby, or rejecting her and putting her into rotation, which is a fate worse than death, where you’re used over and over again by Alphas merely to breed, and abuse. Thayne’s Pack is a little more open to the idea of an Omega, and come to warm up to Harlow - whose posing as Zara, her twin sister. Leon especially falls for her hard, and is the kindest of the Pack. Thayne however is horrible, truly robotic, cruel and downright abusive at times. He justifies his behavior by 1) saying he’s her Alpha and 2) claiming she killed his mother, although Harlow begs him over & over again to listen to the fact that she didn’t kill his mother, she in fact, liked and respected her. Everything comes to a head when Harlow’s secret is revealed. Thayne who had just begun to thaw a little bit toward Harlow/Zara, hates her immediately, saying she lied from the beginning for nefarious reasons. Ren and Raidon, although they don’t like Thaynes plans, are sheep and do as they’re told. Only Leon questions Thaynes irrational behavior and stands up for Harlow when they learn who she is, that she is indeed pregnant, and that Thayne intends to lock her in the basement for the duration of her pregnancy until she delivers and then immediately kill or put her into rotation. While held in captivity, Thayne and the others barely give her the bare necessities, and even in the beginning starve her. They treat her worse than an abused pet, and Harlow comes to hate them all except Leon. She Despises Thayne rightly blaming him for all her woes.
***My Feelings/Review***
I liked this story. I loved how close Zara and Harlow were, and I even liked some of Harlow’s jerk Alphas as the novel progressed. I didn’t however EVER WARM TO THAYNE, and I detested the power he had over his mates/lovers. He would flaunt his sexual relations with them in front of Harlow reminding her she was merely a breeding tool…he had mates to see to his pleasure. Harlow tries to see them all with rose colored glasses even Thayne and warms to Ren, Raidon and definitely sweet Leon…but she’s no pushover!! I think they, especially Thayne recognizes this immediately and it makes him furious. She’ll bend, but won’t EVER COMPLETELY BREAK! She won’t ever give him her all, or her ultimate submission!!
I thought Harlow was a terrific character, and was a good mix of innocence and strength. Her character and the Alphas characters were developed well. What I REALLY REALLY did not like however (other than Thayne who was an utter A-Hole) was how Thayne treated, and abused Harlow and his pack stood by and watched, merely giving him “angry looks.” And when he imprisons her, he does unspeakable things to her and only Leon comes to her aid. Harlow escapes, only to learn her sister Zara is alive and packed up with a baby on the way, too. She stays with Zara and Zara’s pack, while Thayne and the others figure out how they’re going to ask for forgiveness, especially when they learn that Harlow didn’t kill Thane’s mother, told the truth about everything, and had a horrifically difficult life as an Omega especially after her parents die.
What I really didn’t agree on was that Harlow somewhat forgives Thayne by the end of book one. Oh she “lays into him,” but he still barges into her room and DEMANDS she talk to him!! She holds out for like two pages and then she’s saying “you’ll need to continue to beg and plead my forgiveness” but says it playfully AND ALLOWS HIM TO SLEEP WITH HER!!! What?!!! After all that, Harlow deserved at least SEVERAL CHAPTERS of ultimate begging from Thayne, and many true apologies!! She should not have allowed him back in so quickly…even if her other mates were pushing her toward reconciliation with him. I wanted to see that STRONG, DEFIANT, Harlow back m. The fighter. The Omega that said the heck with you Thayne, I’ll take your Pack, but NOT you! And definitely not while you’re Alpha-of-all-Alphas!! Nope. Nope. She didn’t make him beg enough. His lover/mates should also have made him suffer worse than merely moving out and ghosting him for only 1 week!!
The Book ends with Harlow and Thayne “made up” and having s-e-x, right before Raidon announces that his horrid mother Elaine (who was the most vocal about killing Harlow) arrives to ask for “forgiveness.” Ugh. Whatever. If Harlow resolves her issues with Elaine and forgives her in one paragraph, then I’ll have to seriously consider the fact that my beloved Harlow character had a lobotomy, and is no longer present. Don’t know how that’ll go for the duology? Suffice to say everything about this book was intriguing, fun, romantic, and sexy…except the abuse parts. And the fact that you LOATHE Thayne’s character so much you can’t see him worthy of Harlow, let along three other handsome, talented mates.
We’n have to see where this goes. Plus come on, we need to know how and WHY Thayne’s mother was murdered!!

3.5 stars. I love the storyline of this book however some there are a few spelling/editing errors and there’s also some repetitive sentences/sayings etc.
I know this is a dark romance but I really never liked Thane and I hated the power he held over Harlow and his mates. I also detested how the guys didn’t do more for Harlow. Leon is the only one who truly fought for her and that’s partly why he’s my favorite alpha.

Muy bien desarrollada la trama, lo único que se podría mejorar es incluir un glosario para explicar un poco palabras específicas de la lore (sigo sin entender muy bien lo que es el nudo), pero está muy bien, los personajes tienen un buen desarrollo y la trama está genial.

Ok, so my final thoughts are that the book is really a great read. I laughed, I cried, I screamed, yelled and cussed, I fumed, and I even begged a bit. It was an emotional rollercoaster. It's long and it took me about 24 hours off and on to read it entirely, but it was 'almost' worth it. Now, let me explain why it wasn't entirely worth it.
The book basically ends on a cliffhanger, and I hate cliffhangers. Plus, the place that it ended didn't even seem like an ending. It seemed more like the end of a chapter instead of the end of a book. It was probably the worst time to end it. A few more chapters would have been better. I going to read book two because, obviously, I can't not know what happens next. However, it's a bit crazy to have to pay almost $6 for an ebook that isn't really finished, just to have to turn around and spend $7 more for the rest of the story.
All I can say it that I really hope book two is the end. I don't think I'll be able to stomach another cliffhanger without knowing when the next book will be released.
Some thoughts I had while reading:
Usually I like the broody, possessive alphaholes, but Thane is just pissing me off. He doesn't listen to anyone but himself. I agree with Harlow. He won't command her to answer whether she really killed his mother because he doesn't want the answer or even care if it's true. He needs someone to blame and she's the easiest target.
Thane is a cruel, malicious being. He taunts with the things he knows will hurt her the most. He treats her worse than any enemy.
Leon, Rhen and Raidon aren't any better. Sure they fight against him in private, when she isn't around, but seldomly confront him when it matters. They do everything he commands even when they know it's wrong and don't want to. They have the power to fight back and just don't, not really.
Why hasn't anyone read the damn diary? It was supposed to have been dropped off to Thane weeks ago. There's been plenty of time.
I hope she makes him grovel when he finds out the truth and decides he wants her back.
I cried during chapter 85. I won't tell you why, but it's a great episode.
Finally the guys are doing something. Though, it's a bit too late for heroics of any kind.

I'm actually starting to hope they work things out for their families sake.

It's not typical but exciting, sensual, and erotic
I absolutely love the writers writing
techniques, which are coherent , chronological, and easy enough to understand with a twist of grammar sophistication. The plot and the story are not typical. There's no talking wolf in their heads, and no constant shifting the pack is not your usual 150+ were memeber living in the middle of the forest, the and that's what makes it so different and refreshing ! The story and interaction between the main characters are intriguing, erotic and very sensual. I absolutely love how the author encases their relationships to portray more than just the carnal desires and shows how they support and relay in each other's bond more than their bodies. If you're looking for something different and you are open to reading about a different type of were- fiction out of the conventional, then I highly recommend this book !

Spoiler and trigger alert
Not only is there severe bullying, there is abuse, physical and emotional on page from a MMC to the FMC. The remaining MMC’s stand by while most of the abuse is happening. I think I was most bothered when they put her in the basement/den for a month while pregnant, not allowing her a TV, books or conversations, while feeding her soup and sandwiches for meals. They told her when she had the baby they would either unalive her or put her in rotation. All this after they bonded her without consent. Then they hired another omega so she would smell her scent on them every time they went in the basement. There’s also quite a bit of mm that wasn’t really spelled out anywhere. All of this was told by all POV. By the end, she went back to them even after all that. I can’t believe that I finished this book and I am reading the next book.

I saw this book on Instagram and it intrigued me. I really enjoyed this universe. It does have some not so nice parts 😞 but overall I was happy with this book.
In this world omegas are far and few and of course they are the only ones that can mate with an alpha. Which makes nothing more than property and broodmares. (The not so nice part) Everything that happens is a learning experience for the 4 alphas and their Omega, but especially for the alpha of alphas. I absolutely love how she doesn't back down from what she wants and believes she deserves even if it's against what she is told she has to be and her instincts.
I am off to book 2 to see what happens.

Hard to read when characters are so blasé about killing people and covering it up, all because someone loses their temper.
There were many other things to intensely dislike here, taking away free will and speech to name a few, but a redeeming quality of this book is that these things are openly and brazenly stated by our fmc, instead of hushed or glossed over. When I see this happening it gives me hope that the writer will turn the story around, and it started to happen here.
Book ends in a weird place though and leaves me wondering how much really we have left to discuss

The reviews on this book here are so accurate. Most books usually have at least five reviews that look like it was written by bots to compliment the book but the reviews here are accurate. I loved Hallow she was in a rough spot that made her desperate but I like that she found herself. There is bully within the harem and the head Alpha is an Ahole I apologize in advance but I didn’t actually hate him but I didn’t love him. There is no serious grovel in this book. But I enjoyed the story line. It was written in a wattpad sort of way but…….. I loved it. I really wish this book didn’t end 😭

So much angst!
The book was well written and kept me in the feels… almost all negative, and towards the men of course. These alphas are literally the biggest dicks! 3.5-3.75 | 1-1.5 well this was really entertaining, quite fucked and dramatic at times, I will say one twist did caught me by surprise really didn’t expect that, who knew lol I do wish that it was a bit more descriptive as really we barely know what they actually look like. This was also way too long and unsure why it’s a duet. I am about the found out tho !

Good spice, forgiveness not believable
I enjoyed the dialogue and spice but the cruelty goes beyond forgiveness. I liked the come to Jesus conversation about how omegas are treated, but he needed to grovel a lot more for everything he did.

Great story! I enjoyed reading about Harlow and her mates Thane, Rhen, Raiden, and Leon. They are all very protective of each other. There were a lot of plot twists. It was a great story.

great read even though I hated all of her mates cause they were a bunch of dumb heads I loved holow and her story was a really good read I will read the last book next. I was glad to see her sister was alive.

Es una historia increíble, diferente a todo lo que he leído. Te mantiene a la expectativa esperando que va a pasar después. El problema, que la traducción esta fatal, muchas veces tienes que volver atrás para saber de quien hablan, porque se refieren en femenino cuando corresponde un masculino. Y otras veces no tiene sentido alguna q otra oración. Aun así, no he parado de leerla porque me intriga saber que va a pasar después?
