He calls it chance.
I call it faith.
Either way, this Christmas, it brought us together.

Angel’s unexpected arrival brings unwelcome chaos to his home, but her faith and paintings stir a calling in him, one he can’t explain but can’t ignore…

As a dangerous figure from Angel’s past resurfaces, she and Gabriel must confront the darkness threatening their town. But will they find the faith, courage, and love to make this Christmas one to remember?

"Once upon a time..."
...my best childhood nights had started with this wonderful phrase!

Ever since I can remember, I loved a good story!

All started thanks to my beloved grandfather! He used to read to my sister and me, stories of mighty princes and horrifying dragons! Even now, sometimes I miss those cold winters in front of the fireplace in my hometown, Texas!

My best stories though were the ones from the Bible! Such is the spiritual connection that a cozy warm pass through my body every time I hear a biblical story!

My childhood memories were not all roses, but I always knew that the strongest shelter would be always there for me! It was Him!

Years passed by, and little-Chloe grown up reading all kind of stories! It was no surprise that I had this urge to write my own stories, and share them with the word!

If I have a God's purpose on Earth, I think it is to spread His love and wisdom, through my stories!

Learning to adapt to Everything New

Four stars because it needs to have been proofread. The story is unique though as you began to read, you might think “I have read this”. It takes a unique turn.

The main female character, Angel is an orphan who was pushed out at age 18. I understand that was the custom, a cruel custom but unlike the orphanages that teach the children to work so that they may find work when they must leave, this orphanage taught them how to read, write, and do math but no practical skills. That is negligent in my mind.

There was one practical life skill taught, Trust God. So they were sent into a world that they had never experienced assured of God’s faithfulness but having no examples of what was normal and what was not. That is more cruel than coming from orphanages where they experienced cruelty.

There are parts of the story that are hard to imagine a sane person allowing. However, Gabriel and his family are likable. Even though I shook my head and almost set it aside, I wanted to find out how it would end.

Gabriel and Angel

This is a tale of two people with broken pasts finding a true and great love for one another. Angel was an orphan that has lived her entire life with the nuns in their orphanage. She had a good ,but very sheltered life. On Angels eighteenth birthday she learned from her aunt Susan, a nun there. Gabriel has lost his entire family except for his half brother and sister and is a young sheriff. Aunt Susan and his sister Bonnie arrange for Angel to come to his town as his bride to be. Only thing is she knows nothing about it and believes she is going to an art school. You will love the excitement, their experience and lots of determination on both of their parts. You will greatly enjoy how the discover, how they find their trust and love for one another.

It was certainly enjoyable to read this book! All the characters were well suited for their part in bringing the story to life! I really love the clean Christian telling of the story without any explicit sex context!

I absolutely enjoyed this book. I loved the characters. Even though I was given a copy of this book by the author, it in no way influenced my opinion and this is my honest review.
