This one wasn't for me.
I didn't like any of the characters and the story slogged a lot.

Marco is a tech engineer readying for a big launch and Victoria is an eco-focused real estate developer. When their paths cross at a farmers market there is an instant connection between them. It turns out Marco is exactly who Victoria is looking for, professionally. While their attraction to each other becomes quickly apparent their work demands may hinder the blossoming relationship, despite them both believing they were brought together.
I enjoyed the reverse age gap, it's nice to have a FMC closer to my age for a change. I also loved how supportive Marco is, especially for Victoria's career even when it could halt their relationship before it's really begun. The spice in this book was HOT, like seriously.
This is book 5 in the Cougars and Cubs series, however it could be read as a standalone given I haven't read the previous installments yet. I look forward to working back through the series though.

Marco by GiGi Meier is number 5 in the Cougars and Cubs series but can be read as a standalone. This is the first book in the series I have read, and I have had no issues with the story or plot line. Marco is in the tech world developing a new app, while Victoria is a real estate developer using sustainable technologies. While they are beginning, they have a chance to meet and fall hard and quick for one another.
Overall, I had a good time reading this book, but I was not a fan of how hard instant Love there was in this book. I felt as though Victoria's grief was a more significant part of this story than their actual romance and love story. With this being on the shorter side, I wanted there to be less going on and a more concise story plotline. That said, the couple was cute and made you want to route for them. And that exhibitionism was fantastic! This book is short, sweet, and a hot read I enjoyed.

I've been along for the ride in this series since book #1 and not one has disappointed me.
Reading Marco as an ARC reader has been my privilege.
The story between Vic and Marco is a lesson in faith, fate, acceptance and in the end the power of love. As a cougar myself lol...I truly appreciate the way he cares for her and always tries to help her discover her own inner strength. Vic is a contradiction...strong, but needs that right person to lean on.
This couple was a fitting way to complete this series.

I love a good insta-love book, and that is exactly what Marco is. This workplace romance starts off outside of the workplace, the chemistry between Marco and Victoria grows very quickly. While there was a lot of ups and downs, Gigi’s writing really kept my attention the whole way through. I absolutely loved how much Marco encouraged Victoria to pursue her dreams. I think it made there connection even stronger. The spice in this book was HOT, especially the bathroom scene. (IYKYK)
This book is number 5 in the Cougars and Cubs series, but can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the other books, but I am looking forward to going back and reading them all.

So one thing I’ve recently discovered… tech talk is not for me. I get bored. So I found myself zoning out when the “tech talked” happened in this book. But was easily able to zone back in when the smut started smutting lol
The farmers market was a cute touch- because who doesn’t love a farmers market am I right?
I would have liked for this book to have not been so insta love and happening over a period of time for example a year instead of a fortnight? Maybe a month?
Other than that I enjoyed this book, much like the others in the series!

So this was my first book by this author, first book where the age gap was the woman being older, and first book with all the techie talk.
Loved the age gap and how they were both professionals in their own way, loved how Marco our MMC treated Vic our FMC, there was some seriously hot spicy scenes in this book but a turn off for me was the tech speak. Despite the fact of what I do lol it just turned me off the book a bit.
This wrapped the series up nicely imo it is book 5 but totally can be read as a standalone.
This book for me was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a solid 🌶️🌶️🌶️ almost an extra half thrown in for the reverse age gap cause the FMC is closer to my age and a girl can dream about a man like Marco lol

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, but this particular story, to me, felt a little disjointed from the others, as there was very little to no contact with the other characters. Giovanni is mentioned at the start, and doesn't show up again until almost half way through. So this story really could be read as a stand alone, but , that aside I loved the story, as always!

Marco's parents have some damn nerve! I can't believe they did that to him, it was not okay and to keep making him feel trapped was so wrong. Marco is a young tech-savvy app designer who has a meet-cute at the farmers market where he finds himself enchanted with Victoria.
Victoria is a real estate development project supervisor and needs Marco's company to help her solve a problem. Will there be a conflict of interest or will this cougar get the cub?

Love this book. It was beautifully written. I loved the story line. It wasn’t very hard to follow along which I loved. Over all this was a wonderful read that I would highly recommend!

I was lucky enough to score this book as an early reader! I really enjoyed the banter and reverse age gap. I am always a sucker for a workplace romance but i think what threw me about the book was all of the talk about tech. It was definitely a different take on the kinds of books I like but it didn't deter me from reading the whole book! I wish I had read the rest of the series first but it didn't take away from the enjoyment factor of the book! Don't walk, run to read this!

This is my 1st read from Meier, but I can already tell it will not be my last! I opened my up kindle and and didn't put it down until the very last page! This author has a way of pulling you into the book, and it was really good with this story!! This was my 1st older woman, younger man read, and I'm hooked. I need more by her! The characters had chemistry! They passed the vibe check it was 4/5 for me!

Marco was a good read. While it was a little information heavy, especially in the beginning, it was still very entertaining. I like how Marco and Victoria had an instant connection and really hit it off. And that bathroom scene (swoon!) I enjoyed following their struggles, seeing them become closer, and healing their pasts together.

I loved this book! I was emotionally invested from the very beginning. I did not want to put this down, I read this in under 24 hours. I loved the FMC and MMC and their relationship. I felt so many emotions and just really loved this story. This book has spice, romance, Latin couple, reverse age gap, fated soulmates, workplace romance, and great representation of grief and complicated family dynamics. I highly recommend reading this!

I loved the diverse representation of Latin cultures and the story between Marco and Victoria was so beautiful and they both just complete each other and were meant to be there for one another for healing. The story was great and felt like something that would be more realistic in a relationship.

This was a pretty good and enjoyable ARC read that I did finish in one sitting 🤭
Victoria is a real estate developer and is in Houston making a name for herself. Her mission is to develop properties that are as sustainable as possible. The problem is that the tech in her building doesn’t seem get the message. It won’t work and is starting to do the opposite of what it needs to. This isn’t what Victoria wants at all. She lives for sustainability. That is why you can often find her at her local farmers market. Victoria does hear about a tech company who specializes in sustainability products, so she reaches out and hopes they can solve her problem.
Marco is the head engineer at company who specializes in sustainability products. While in the middle of launching app, he gets a call from a real estate company to help with their building’s tech. He answers because he feels like it’s an interesting project. While Marco wants to get started on it immediately, he is roped in helping his mom at the local farmers market. While there he runs into a woman who takes his breath away. He is instantly captivated by her. He wants her. He needs her to be his.
After running into each other, they discover that they can help each other. But they can’t deny their attraction. Victoria tries to resist at first, but that doesn’t last long. But will they last long? That is the question when feelings and past traumas come up. Is it all too much for Victoria and Marco?
This book was very smutty. That is not lacking. Marco is insatiable when it comes to Victoria. If he could survive on only her, he would gladly take that offer. There was plot to this book but there was also a lot of smut, which I am not complaining about at all.
A thing that did get me was that this book takes place within a week. It just felt all way too soon for them to feel that deep. I get the instant love in books and whatnot but it still felt super fast.
Marco was starting to give me the ick because of how clingy he was. Like it was the next day after their first date and she had something come up and didn’t answer her phone. Marco then blew up her phone. Texting her text after text after text. He was telling her to just let him know if she was okay and how he couldn’t be without her. Marco was feeling sick to his stomach that she might be in the hospital or dead because she hadn’t answered him in a few hours. Like calm down dude. He knows she has a busy schedule just like he does and still was like that.
Honestly if he calmed down, and wasn’t as clingy, the rating would have been higher.
I put it as a 3.5 rounded to a 4 due to no half stars.

I also loved how supportive Marco is, especially for Victoria's career even when it could halt their relationship before it's really begun. Marco is really obsessed and clingy with her. Marco was feeling sick to his stomach that she might be in the hospital or dead because she hadn’t answered him in a few hours.

During this book, I learned that the tech world is not something I am interested in in books. This is a ME thing, not an author thing. However, because of that, it was hard for me to get captivated with this book. Over 80% of this book is over a timespan of one week and there was just a lot going on with each of their jobs revolving around technology.
The spice in this book is definitely spicy, so I recommend it for that reason. I did struggle with Marco because at times he felt whiny, maybe borderline desperate to me, but then he'd turn around and want to be dominate in the bedroom. Both characters do struggle with family trauma and there is a lot of dealing with the grief surrounding death so be mindful of any potential TWs.
Overall, even if it wasn't a book for me, I'd still recommend this book for people who are definitely looking for instaconnection, more cinnamon roll but possessive MCs, and those that enjoy a reverse age gap from time to time - it's not heavily mentioned in the book, but Victoria is older...however, Marco teaches her a thing or two!

Marco Delgado and Victoria Vega's whirlwind romance begins with a surprise meeting at a Houston farmer's market. Both are high-powered execs: Victoria at an architectural firm and Marco at a tech start-up.
I loved the immediate sparks between the two and that there's plenty of spice. I enjoyed the way that issues Victoria faces early on are somewhat mirrored with Marco at a later time, allowing the two to work together even as there is a push-pull to their relationship because of their families and careers. The age-gap is mentioned briefly in this book but I really like that the characters don't make an issue of it. They're adults and more interested in their relationship than their ages.
I loved their HEA and way the author resolves things worked well for me.
This is a new series to me and I will definitely go back and complete the entire series. (Marco is the last book in The Cougars & Cubs series but worked nicely for me as a stand-alone.)

This story presents a charming insta-love narrative, blending elements of office romance and fate. This story is able to show how grief effects everyone differently. Despite the quick progression typical of insta-love stories, they embrace vulnerability and honesty in their rapidly evolving relationship. On the spice scale, I would rate it a 3.5/5, featuring open-door romantic scenes. I recommend this reverse age gap office romance for anyone looking to enjoy a sweet and inspiring read.

They meet by chance but she was trying to contact him because of a project where she needs his advice as an engineer. So when he know about it he jumps to the opportunity to help her and spend more time with her.
He is obsessed with her since the first glance so he keeps trying to date and woo her but she is preoccupied with work and family related problems. Victoria is the mature one but because of her baggage Marco is the one who seems more mature and who will fight for the woman of his life.
But don't misunderstand me, this book has emotional moments but spicy ones too and Marco may be young but he likes to be in control.

OMG this was a great book. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was totally intense and worthy. I was on verge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Marco and Victoria was work partners. It was a love and hate romance going on between them as the passion was heating up between them and the chemistry was sexual and the physical attraction was tension as they couldn’t fight the temptation any longer of the drama and chaos in a passion moment. The tension was mind blowing of passion and even love. With the affection of pleasure and fun. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I do love an insta attraction especially when its outside of the workplace but they also have to deal with it at work! This always makes for great tension and chemistry. I do love how connected they got, but at times Marco felt a little clingy which made me anxious at times. That said the love story was great. Even though this is part of a series, there wasn’t much cross over that I could sense, so it read as a standalone. This is a mid-level spice and is a fast read, I did it in one sitting!
