I...this was a ride. I chose not to give this one a rating.

Harley is heading back home to see if her lazy brother would help her, and she almost gets in a car accident because of her car and runs into her brothers ex best friend. Who is angry that she put herself in danger.

Now that all sounds wonderful 😊 but the way Emit Handled stuff was insane. He's a former cop so he pats her down and fingers her to see if she has a cell in her vagina which he knows she doesn't. He took her virginity with his fingers. He didn't know she didn't tell him. Lots of push away and name calling.

It was also a daddy kink book. Just by name. And drama with the brother and his wife.
Also, the author tossed in a secret child. The MMC didn't even know until the end. That the oldest child of his ex was his kid. There is no real plot for that.

This book was just a freaking roller coaster of emotions.
As always, it was very well written, and there was so much humor in it the first 20% have me laughing so hard.
But then there were also some difficult parts, and then at the end there was very loving and sweet tearjerker moments. It was just a chaotic circus of all kinds of different emotions, and I feel a bit dizzy from it.

Road Rage Daddy was about 30-year-old Emit, a former cop who started his own security company, and 20-year-old Harley, a college student who had fallen on hard times.

This book contains sensitive content, including but not limited to the following tropes and themes, and is intended for an 18+ audience: Daddy/baby (no age play), Brother’s ex-best friend, Virgin FMC/Deranged MMC, Kidnapping /Non & Dubious con, No cheating between main characters, Parental domestic violence & negligence (no CSA).

I'm not going to review this like I have other books in the past. There's nothing good I can say about this...written piece of tripe. It started off with Harley's power steering going out on her car and nearly causing a multiple-vehicle crash, but she somehow managed to avoid it and get off the road. However, her troubles didn't end there because the next thing to happen was for a huge man to get in her face, screaming at her...until he recognized her. What happened then? He proceeded to tie her up with his belt and r*ped her until she passed out...and she was a virgin. She begged him to stop the entire time, but he refused, saying he was going to marry her and become her Daddy. This was from the guy who used to be the only one in her life who showed her any form of kindness. He abused her, then he kidnapped her by taking her to his home, where he proceeded to r*pe her again.

Harley eventually injured him, took his vehicle, and went to her brother's home. However, he soon followed, only for a plot twist to take place that ended up with him taking her back to his home where, you guessed it...he started to r*pe her again. No matter how many times she begged him to stop, he didn't. He even went so far as to try convincing her that she WANTED him to be rough, to hurt her, to force her, and to take her hard. Once he said all that, he forced her once again until she passed out a third time.

I refused to give this book any stars. It doesn't deserve them, nor does it deserve the title of "a book". I'm just sorry I read it.

Only picked this up for a quick read . Cus I was in the mood to read alot of novellas - what I don’t like is rape ! This book is filled with it - dub con is fine sometimes. But this book was full on rape . Literally the fmc deserved better - mmc was fmcs brothers ex best friend . And his gf left mmc for her brother because he spent too much time with fmc ( when he was an adult ) and she was a teen) overall he’s 10 years older than her and known her since she’s a kid and somehow wants her .

What’s worse emit the mmc is an ex police officer - I already hate police romances . But omg the fact that this has a ex police office mmc that rapes the fmc adds more to why I hate police romances - can we stop
Having police romances + Books with Ex police men in - especially those where the mmc rapes the fmc ( it reinforces how I feel about police ) they terrify me and honestly I don’t like them:

I was warned he’d be a worse than Blake in the roommate book but honestly Blake was actually likable . Even if he was cumming in her panties without her knowing and doing so when She was asleep too . But emit is worse !! Blake was likable because tbh all I wanted was a horny book and it did the job even if Blake in that book would not be one of the good men ( he’s a bad one) the book itself was hot and enjoyable

Quickie Review: Out of the couple of books I have read in this series, this has definitely been my least favorite. I never felt any real feelings besides lust from the characters. I know it’s a very short story, but even then, there should have been some romance. And even with it being a short story, a lot does happen. It’s definitely packed full of everything but the romance. And check the triggers. While I don’t have any (that I know of) what happens in this one is bound to upset a few. I wanted to love it after completing going gaga over my last read by Alder, it just sadly didn’t happen. 3 Stars.

3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4....This one was good, but didn't quite have the same heat or intensity of May's other novelettes (which is what got me hooked on all of her books originally). Honestly I may have set my expectations too high because I adore all of her books and novelettes, and they are all solid 4 or 5 stars. So why the wishy washy review on this one? It could have been the dub-con, non-con? It could have been I just wasn't feeling the characters as much? Not sure. Still a solid read - especially if you like your men alpha, take charge and never ask permission. 🤣🤣

I think I will probably try another book in the future. I used to be really into sweet novellas as palate cleansers but I think I read too many because now I dnf them. This one was darker so it made a change and I did finish it.
