I had been working as a private art advisor for the same insane family for nearly ten years. The Russos weren't just powerful, they were vicious. They swore that if I ever tried to leave, they would prevent me from ever working in the art world again. That was bad enough; I couldn't imagine a life without the art or artists I love.
Then, their son Emilio went a step too far and personally attacked my character in the worst way possible--by painting me in a scandalous position and displaying the painting where everyone in the art world could see it.
I thought my reputation was destroyed...until the world's most reclusive artist, Kaden Malbec, and the recently incarcerated brother of my friend's boss, Nero King, offered to help me get justice.
No, not just justice. We're going to tarnish Emilio's name forever.

I didn’t expect this to live up to Yes, Mr. King (a random KU download that ended up being a sleeper hit), but I loved this book just as much!
It’s a MFM romance featuring Lulu, Nero and Kaden (Malbec), who were all introduced in the first book. The plot is a bit darker, as it’s set in the art world that has hints of crime and seediness, but in a night time soap sort of way with a satisfying revenge plot. 😌🫧
The story had a great mix of high-stakes drama/revenge, steamy romantic entanglements (hee!) and relationship development that was mostly sweet and low-angst. I also really enjoyed the writing — it was seriously entertaining, with lines I found unexpectedly delightful. A line I highlighted: “It’s been nearly 72 hours since she left and the tiny gif of that moment has been replaying in my mind nonstop.”
Side note: Nero’s relationship with his “irritating kid brother Ethan”, a.k.a. Mr. King from the first book, also made me giggle.
This was a good book and I enjoyed it. We briefly met the three characters in the previous book "Yes, Mr. King." Lulu is an art curator for a wealthy family who saved her from a bad situation when she was younger. The family has become increasingly hostile to her which culminates with one of the sons painting a derogatory painting of Lulu and humiliates her. Nero King is the brother to the MMC in the first book and he meets Lulu on that fateful night. We then have Kaden Malbec a reclusive artist who Lulu befriends and is intrigued by.
I wasn't sure how the author was going to redeem Nero since he did some shady stuff in the first book by buying half of his brother's company. We eventually learn why he did it, but if they had communicated it would have definitely saved some issues from happening. Lulu had intimate interactions with both Kaden and Nero on an individual basis so I was really curious how they were going to all come together. Neither Nero nor Kaden seemed like that type that would share.
I was pleasantly surprised when they all acted like adults once they were in the same place staying together. Neither of the MMC's went possessive or hostile towards the other one which I liked. You could see that the guys were becoming friends, something both of them needed. I liked that things didn't turn sexual until a foundation of a relationship was established. There was a dark part of Lulu's past that we eventually learn about that was tough to read. She doesn't go into great detail but enough that you get the gist of what happened.
The revenge part of the book was pretty good, I suppose it helps to have billionaire boyfriends. The spicy scenes were great and the guys worked well without ever being uncomfortable with one another. I would definitely recommend the book!
Kaden, Nero and Lulu (Louise) made for a good read! This book has plots and twists to it; there is spice, some humor, drama and sweet revenge.
I loved these characters. Pulling from Book 1 and expanding more on them made it more fun to read.
Kaden was sweet and shy, a recluse artist that Lulu was attracted to. Nero was infatuated/obsessed with Lulu when he first met her having been on early release from prison for tax evasion. He was trying to repair a damaged relationship with his younger brother Ethan. Lulu, heavily involved with the Russo Family and the art world. She didn't expect anything from either of the two MMCs. Lulu's relationship with the Russo Family is strained and tense at best especially with their son Emilio.
The author did a good job of bringing the three of them together. It didn't happen for a while and I wondered if it would happen at all. It felt true, like how it could happen in real life with the wondering and awkwardness. I loved how it came together for them and the feelings they all developed for each other. The revenge part I didn't understand how that would work out, but it did and I liked it! I do wish the ending had more to their futures.
I'd love an Ivy book and even a Val book. These two characters are intriguing and I'd love to see what they can have.
Great book. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense and insane. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down literally. It was addicted. They couldn’t fight the temptation anymore as they gave into their desires and wants in this moment of having power over each others hearts. Something had ignited a sparks between them like a flame in the sky of passion and romance. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t regret reading or be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones
Hot hot HOT! Great spice, sexy MMCs. But I also just love Lulu. She's such a fun character. Not melodramatic. Not dumb. She's in a tough spot trying to make the best of someone's else's selfish choices, and she still fights with grace. Despite everything that's happened to her, she's soft and vulnerable and still strong. That's a combination we don't get very often in romance stories. It works really well here, and it's so hot to see her get rewarded for it with a super spicy ending. Is it weird if I go back and read just those scenes...for reasons?
🥵 I needed a cold shower after reading this haha. Absolutely amazing!!! Not only some of the best spicy scenes but Lulu’s story is unlike any other and I absolutely loved the adventure into the art world. 10/10 recommend!!!
