After all the secrets and lies came out in the most explosive way, Giovannah Conti isn't sure if she can trust her three mafia husbands again. She's been burnt once, but does being in love mean you have to keep letting yourself get burnt?
But, it's hard to settle your chaotic relationships when danger and death is hiding around each corner in the form of Vannah's formally dead sister turned stalker. Death seems to be covering Vannah's life like a storm cloud, but when she decided to fight back and dig into secrets from her own past, she begins to realise that maybe not it all as it seems.
And with women who look just like her being murdered all over Las Vegas, time is ticking for both Vannah's life and her love.
Bunny lives in a world of handsome billionaires, deranged but protective serial killers, sword wielding time-travelling knights, Alpha Werewolves seeking their mates and criminals who would forsake everything for their one true love... Then she puts her pen down and re-enters the normal world with her own family, job and pets. Not quite as thrilling but equally as loving.
Making this a 3 part series is criminal - I want to binge read this so hard.
I did not see the partner in crime coming at all. For the life of me, I couldn't guess who it was. I love the relationship development but also character development. Vannah is finally growing a personality.
Obviously, I had to read the next in the series from Sapphire and this is it. I loved how the book continued flawlessly from one to the next.
Citrine picks up from the cliffhanger that Sapphire left us in. Which I always love in a book. We finally get a complete picture of the twist that started at the end of Sapphire.
There is more character development, more of Giovannah realizing her feelings towards her 3 men and all the feel goods mixed in with the drama. And I sure do love the drama. Though I will say that there is major betrayals in this book that is from Sapphire.
Giovannah does work through the betrayal by herself, which I do love with a fmc that is developing herself and her own strength. She does play the roll of a mafia wife when needed while she was working through her feelings of betrayal.
I do understand why the men did what they did to her, but it was still sad and they do go into more detail about the situation.
There are multiple times where you see character development with Enzo most of all, while also seeing it in Dario and Salem.
The road to redemption is a slow one for the men, but it is worth their while. I will say there is a twist in the book that I was not able to figure out. I do not think it is the direction that we are being led to believe if we go by what the men are saying.
I did enjoy this book, like I enjoyed Bunny Brooks other book and I cannot wait for the last in the series!
This is the long awaited second book in this series and it was so worth the wait. It was full of drama, intrigue and twists and turns I never saw coming. The last few chapters I was completely blindsided by the plot twist. I am loving this series and am eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series.
I am honestly hooked on this series read 2 books in 2 days and super eager to start the 3rd. This wasn’t as good as book 1 but it was super necessary for the full explanation of the bigger story. I loved watching each relationship change and our FMC’s backbone continue to get better! Another painful cliffhanger done well so I am very excited to read this conclusion.
I wish I could start checking if the series was complete before I read. If you're like me and binge read. I would wait until the 3rd book is out. Now I have to wait.
