A shy motel owner, a pun-loving barista, and one wildly funny plan collide in this heartwarming rom-com. Sometimes the best love stories are brewed, not planned.

Her top choice? Jeremy Wentworth, the shy motel owner who never misses his morning coffee. Jeremy reluctantly agrees, and their staged romance quickly heats up with crossword puzzles, a laugh-out-loud cosplay trivia night, and an unexpected trip to the ER. But as Molly finds herself savoring his quiet humour and tender smiles, she starts to wonder: is this still pretend, or is her heart perking up for real?
When an unexpected twist threatens to spill the beans on Molly’s quiet life, she faces a choice: run again or brew up a cup of faith in having found what she truly dreams of.

This one just didn't click for me. The characters read as a lot younger and more naive than they were, and I found it incredibly hard to relate to them. Molly is a woman in her mid-twenties who thinks it's normal to bring a massive bouquet of flowers to her boyfriends place of employment to celebrate 2 months together. Casually referring to it as an "anniversary" to everyone. Anniversary means a year, and I was cringing through her attempt at a grand gesture, knowing how awkward it was.
Jeremy is 11 years her senior, yet is awkward, standoffish, has a business he admits is hemorrhaging money, lies about his past for no reason, and randomly tells the doctor who's seeing her that he's her boyfriend and it's their anniversary. This is despite not knowing who he is, nor having a rationale to it. Which either makes it obvious he's lying or makes it sound like Molly is a cheater. I couldn't understand at all why this was included as a scene as it just made him seem unhinged. In general, he felt less like a love interest and more like a convenience. Also, the scene where he doesn't want to know her age, then makes a comment about 18 year olds looking like 30 year olds, where she notes it sounds like he's dealt with that was concerning. Then him confirming she's at least legal gave me the ick. It isn't attractive to think he's a man in his late 30s thats completely okay with dating someone who could potentially be barely legal.
All of it just made both leads into people that I couldn't feel a spark between and wasn't interested in until a good 80% of the book. That's when a conflict finally arises and then is immediately solved. If this wasn't an ARC, I probably wouldn't have made it that far to begin with, unfortunately.
That being said, thank you to H.M. Shander for the digital ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I enjoyed it. A cute little romance, with Molly wanting to make her ex jealous. I think her ex deserved to just be ignored though. I adored Jeremy, he's such a big teddy bear type of person. If you love trivia, cosplay, or anything that would be considered "nerdy"; then I think you would enjoy this book. The mention of Idris Elba, The Office, and Star Wars made me love it more.😊
Mountain Bean Dream is a cute story about an unlikely couple: the run-away celebrity meets the small town motel owner.
Molly has left her life of luxury and acting behind and now works at the Coffee Loft coffee shop in the small town of Jasper. Her fancy doctor boyfriend decides to dump her as he plans to move to a better job. She wants to make him jealous so concocts a fake boyfriend plan.
Jeremy, owner of the motel that Molly lives at, and extremely punctual daily Coffee Loft visitor, is just living his life, when Molly asks him if he can be her fake boyfriend to make her ex jealous. He agrees on one condition, that she go to a trivia game night with him. She agrees, and they start their "fake" dating. Jeremy plays the part really well, especially when they have to go to the hospital after Molly has an unfortunate falling incident, with no other than her ex as her emergency room doctor.
This story is really cute, and I enjoyed the two unlikely people getting together and learning they had more in common than they may have expected with such different backgrounds. The coffee puns were amusing throughout the story. I did have a bit of a hard time getting into the story, I am not sure why or that I can pinpoint it entirely, I felt there were parts that were a little boring for some reason, again this is just me, because the overall story was good. I think it was just a little slow to get going. There were also some parts in the story that seemed to not fully play out, and did make the reader wonder what the character was talking about, but again you never got the full story so were kind of left wondering. Also in the hospital when Jeremy immediately pretends to be Molly's boyfriend, the fact that this would indicate she had been cheating on her ex (though she hadn't) never seems to come back around and get explained to the ex. I thought that was just a bit off for the ex boyfriend to be portrayed as a crappy guy when basically, Molly gets portrayed as a cheater without really clearing the air.
If you like small town, age gap, romance, with some fun coffee puns added in, then you will enjoy Mountain Bean Dream.
Thank you to the author for a review copy of this book.
I couldn’t have asked for a better book to start 2025! A perfect book to kick off season 3 of The Coffee Loft multi-author series.
Mountain Bean Dream gives you hidden identity, opposites attract and fake boyfriend trope with fun coffee puns and relatable fun - Star Wars and The Office references….tell me something better than those?? To be honest, I hadn’t even read the blurb to know what was getting into, and with that in mind, please know this story flowed very well and written smoothly. I was able to follow along and given enough detail to understand and appreciate the book and storyline.
I absolutely LOVED both Molly and Jeremy. Jeremy was shy, quiet and reserved but had so much charm and humor. A man that doesn’t realize the gem he is due to his humility and his upbringing. I loved that he was a glass half full despite the fact that he could’ve let the hand he was dealt lead him down a different path. His love for crossword puzzles/trivia is fun throughout the book as well. He was incredibly sweet to Molly in various times throughout the book that has you swooning — and not just imagining him dressed as Han Solo 😉❤️Molly was incredibly sweet and humble despite the glamorous life she once lead. She is one you’d admire that realizing being rich and famous was not all that it’s cracked up to be. She had some trust issues, and rightfully so, but didn’t cause her to be negative or a device downer constantly. Their journey from “fake” to real was a delightful and fun. There was so much to love and I was sad to see it end.
Clean read, kisses only, sweet chemistry development, making ex’s jealous shenanigans and a whole lot of fun! Thank you to the author for an advanced copy of the book. All my thoughts and opinions are solely my own.
Mountain Bean Dream is part of The Coffee Loft: Mountain Brew Collection. This is a multi-author series of standalone novels, which each book featuring a Coffee Loft shop.
If you love a quiet MMC, secret identity, fake dating and ALL the coffee puns... this one is definitely one you'll want to add to your TBR. This was such a cute read and another great addition to the Coffee Loft series. Molly grew up in the spotlight and is now living a secret, quiet life as a barista. When she breaks up with her boyfriend, she comes up with a plan to make him jealous at an upcoming event by bringing a fake boyfriend--- the quiet inn owner/Coffee Loft regular. These two had a really sweet and easy chemistry between them that I couldn't help but enjoy... I loved his love of trivia and puzzles, and how that all weaved into the story so very well. It was definitely a bit of a slower burn, but certainly worth the payoff. It was a quick and cozy read that had me smiling throughout.
Mountain Bean Dream is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.
After a horrible breakup with her ex, Molly needs a date for the fundraiser which she was supposed to attend with her ex. Jeremy, one of the regulars at her cafe, ends up becoming her fake boyfriend. But soon, his care for her becomes more real and authentic than she could ever imagine.
While Jeremy does not tick the checklist for the ideal boyfriend, Molly soon realises that what she used to consider boring and predictable could be just what she needs. Jeremy is such a kind soul and despite their differences they really fit well together.
I enjoyed their time together doing daily mundane activities and working together to solve puzzles or trivia questions. It was cute and a meddling grandma always helps to push things forward.
MBD was a good choice for me. I wanted to read something sweet and light. I did have to get used to the Canadian spellings of words but that didn’t take much. If I am into a book I can mostly finish it one day and that the case here. I had no clue if this was a good fit for me but I’m pleasantly surprised and glad I did. Thank you to the author.
I received an advanced copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Thank you to the author @hmshander for the #gifted eARC.
Mountain Bean Dream by H.M. Shander, the second installment of the Mountain Brew series, is a delightful, heartwarming escape into small-town charm and slow-burn romance. Perfect as a light and refreshing read, it’s an ideal palate cleanser after a heavier, more intense novel. Shander’s signature humor and masterful use of puns are in full swing, making each page a joy to read. Fans of her previous Coffee Loft books will find this one equally enchanting, with relatable characters and witty dialogue that draw readers effortlessly into the cozy world of Mountain Brew.
The story centers on Molly, a woman who has left behind the glare of the spotlight in search of a quieter, more peaceful life, and Jeremy, a kind-hearted cinnamon roll hero with a protective streak. Their fake relationship trope, paired with a secret identity twist, creates a compelling dynamic filled with playful banter and emotional depth. Shander skillfully balances humor and romance, blending the age-gap tension with genuine affection as Jeremy tenderly takes care of Molly. Their chemistry is palpable, and their journey from pretend to profound connection will leave readers swooning.
H.M. Shander’s strength lies not only in her ability to craft sweet, comforting romances but also in her talent for delivering laugh-out-loud moments through clever wordplay and unforgettable lines. Mountain Bean Dream is a feel-good story that brims with charm, warmth, and a touch of small-town magic. It’s a must-read for fans of romantic comedies, charming heroes, and lighthearted love stories that leave you smiling long after the final page.
Oh the puns…. 👉“Great. I can’t espresso how happy thatmakes me.” 👉“Oh, beans!” 👉”Have a brewtiful day!” 👉“Thanks a latte.”
Leaving her past behind and moving to a small town to work at a coffee shop, Molly is finally happy. But after hearing her boyfriend tell his coworker he has plans to move to a bigger city for a job without her, Molly decides it’s time to cut him loose. Now she is without a date for the fundraiser she is attending. Living in a small town there’s not many choices, however, there is Jeremy. He’s a quiet, keep to yourself, kind of guy who happens to come in every day like clockwork to get his coffee and do his crossword puzzle. He’s always been friendly with her, so she asks him to be her date to the fundraiser, to make her ex jealous. He agrees to go with her as long as she goes to trivia night with him. After spending time together, she now wonders if she’s been looking at the wrong guy this whole time. Jeremy makes her feel comfortable and she can be herself around him, but does he have the same feelings that she has?
This is another book in the Coffee Loft Mountain Brew series and it’s just as cozy as the last one. I adored these two characters so much. Molly has a past and is trying to do things for herself now on her terms and find her voice. With the help of Jeremy she is able to do that. Jeremy is such a loving, selfless male character and I love the way he treats Molly by always helping her with any and everything. You can’t help but root for them to get together the whole time. I loved the references to The Office! This is another closed door (kisses only), clean read with swoony worthy moments. If that’s something you like, then be sure to check this one out!
This book will publish on January 15, 2025. Thank you to author H.M. Shander for my advanced readers copy. This is my honest and voluntary opinion.
This is book three in The Coffee Loft series : Mountain Brew Collection and it is Molly and Jeremy’s story. Molly works at the Coffee Loft and really enjoys her life but when she hears her boyfriend talking about her and her job while bragging about his own life and job she decides that he is not who she thought he was and walks away while coming up with her own plans and that is when she asks Jeremy to help her by being her fake boyfriend and he said yes because he wanted to ask her out before but never plucked up the courage so now there lives are about to change and become even more complicated especially as Molly is hiding a very big secret that she doesn’t want revealed. Jeremy owns the motel and he is very quiet and shy but what he does love is his morning coffee at the coffee loft and seeing Molly which makes his day and when she asked I’m for some help he decided to say yes because he had wanted to get to know her for a while and sees this as his chance. When Molly and Jeremy start to spend more time together so that there relationship looks real things start to change between them and that is when fate steps in and fake starts to feel so real but what happens when Molly secret is finally revealed will it make a relationship between them stronger while giving them a future that they both want and deserve or will it break them apart leaving them missing out on something so special. I absolutely loved this book and read it in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down and it had me turning the pages to see what would happen next and also what the outcome would be for Molly and Jeremy in the end. I can’t wait to read more books in the future.
I'm a big fan of the Coffee Loft series in all its iterations. In this winter release of Mountain Brew stories, "Mountain Bean Dream" by @hmshander shines. Molly is an absolute star as the peppy, accident-prone, pun-loving Coffee Loft barista on the run. Trying desperately to fit in in the little town of Jasper, she also longs to stand out for being herself and not her famous persona she has left behind.
Finding herself rejected again in love, Molly needs a date, and better yet, a boyfriend. The story has a sweet fake dating trope when she asks her hotel manager, Jeremy, to be her date. But these two have a sweet chemistry, and a friendship develops that is so special. Molly has been controlled for so long that she doesn't even know how to react when Jeremy falls into caring for her. She just thinks she wants to make her ex jealous, but in reality, she just wants someone to want her for her.
I, personally, struggle with patience with a slow burn romance. It's clear that Jeremy had a crush on Molly, and I almost wish I had a dual POV because I desperately wanted to know that he was pining for her! But because they built such a sweet friendship and didn't make silly fake dating rules, they were so easily able to move from fake to real and friends to more. It was so well done!
Check out Mountain Bean Dream if you love: ❄️Slow Burn ❄️Fake Dating ❄️Secret Identity ❄️Celebrity romance ❄️Single POV (Molly) ❄️No Third Act Breakup ❄️Coffee puns ❄️HEA ❄️Closed-door, kissing only
You won't be disappointed!
I received a complimentary copy of the author's story to read and review. All thoughts contained here are my own.
HM Shander wrote the PERFECT book! I absolutely fell in love with Jeremy! I was hoked from page one and didn't want to put this book down to go to bed last night. This story and the characters are well written and enjoyable!
Molly gave up the spotlight to work at The Coffee Loft in Jasper. The Coffee Loft is run by Sage and Elliott! If you read It's a Brewtiful Day then you know them and love them! She wants a quiet simple life. She thinks her life is starting to go well until she finds out her boyfriend Derek is moving for big city dreams and job. So now she needs a fake boyfriend to make him jealous.
Jeremy is The Coffee Loft regular that shows up everyday at the same time, sits in the same place, orders the same drink and leaves at the same time. He also owns the hotel Molly is staying at. She decides to ask him if he would be her fake boyfriend. Well we already know where these situations always end up going. LOL...
This book had me smiling so much that my cheeks hurt!! Jeremy was just the sweetest man. He had me swooning like crazy as well. There were quite a few laugh out loud moments. Tons of Coffee puns which I always love and HM Shander is the Queen of them! This was just an absolute beautiful story and I didn't want it to end.
I would HIGHLY recommend this story. This is the third book HM Shander has written in The Coffee Loft Series so if this is your first time reading one of them please go back and read the rest of the book.
Thank you HM Shander for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.
Molly is a barista at the Jasper Coffee Loft enjoying the quiet life that she longed for in her past. She has a secret past that you will learn more about as you read. Jeremy owns the local motel where Molly is living. He is a mysterious, crossword puzzle loving man who has a schedule he keeps to like clockwork. He always sits at the same table and has his coffee in a Snoopy mug.
When these two decide to fake date to try and make Molly's boyfriend jealous, things start to get really interesting. There were so many fun scenes and smiling/laughing scenes in this story. The dress up night for trivia was probably one of my favorite scenes. It was one of those stories where you thought you knew someone, but you quickly learn that there is a lot more to this person than you see on the surface. Jeremy is a real peach who truly cares about those around him. This is another fantastic installment to the Coffee Loft series. I also always enjoy this author's fun use of puns, as I am not quick enough on my feet to blurt one out. These always make me chuckle.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This cozy sweet romance is set in the Rocky Mountains, and it’s the perfect blend of giggles, swoons, and—of course—coffee puns. ☕️ 🍩 ☕️ 🍩 ☕️ 🍩 I can’t espresso how much I enjoyed this book—I loved it a latte! Molly, a pun-loving barista, and Jeremy, a shy motel owner, team up in a fake dating ruse that brews into something so much more. I adored Molly’s love of playing the flute in her jazz band (it brought back memories of my own flute-playing days 🎶) and Jeremy’s cinnamon roll sweetness. Molly and Jeremy both have a bit of mystery to them going in—Molly living a quiet life, keeping to herself, while Jeremy’s predictable routine, and love of crossword puzzles made them intriguing from the start. Add in the witty banter, I couldn’t put it down! 🍩 ☕️ 🍩 ☕️ 𝐀 𝐬𝐡𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐚 𝐩𝐮𝐧-𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐨𝐦-𝐜𝐨𝐦. If you’re looking for a sweet, cozy romance, this one is a must-read!
Could the wrong guy be the right one? A touching story of discovering what is important and of true value in life. Molly has left her past life and gone into hiding, working as a barista in a Coffee Loft. It pays the rent and that’s all she needs right now especially given her romance with Doctor Derek Davidson. All seems good until she overhears a conversation between Derek and a co-worker. Now she’s down one relationship and a date for the fundraiser. In a pinch she asks Jeremy, a Coffee Loft regular, manager of the hotel where she’s staying, and crossword geek to be her date/fake boyfriend for the fundraiser. As Molly and Jeremy spend time together preparing for a trivia night and the fundraiser, they begin to grow closer together. Soon Molly is wondering if she was looking at the wrong man and if it’s time to share her past with someone. Until one crossword clue puts everything she worked for in jeopardy. Can Molly continue in the life she’s built or will she need to run again? I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
- Small town romance - Coffee! - Fake dating - COFFEE - Secret identity - Did I mention the coffee?
I love coffee. I love reading. Books about coffee? YES PLEASE! This book is part of the standalone Coffee Loft series. Some of the characters from previous books make appearances in this book, which is so much fun!
Molly has a secret. A big one. She was a child actor (an immensely successful one!), but after being disillusioned by her parents' greed and the untoward actions of some people in charge, she takes off, changes her name and lives off the paycheck she gets from the Coffee Loft. She enjoys her job (even if she is frequently tardy!) and ESPECIALLY enjoys seeing Jeremy every day (like clockwork). He runs the hotel where she rents a room.
After overhearing her boyfriend boasting about being offered a position in a better town and the fact that he is "just passing time" with her, Molly decides to break up with him and pretend to date Jeremy. The trouble is, she realizes that she is starting to develop real feelings for Jeremy....
I loved my Coffee Loft visit to Jasper, Alberta, Canada last fall and this visit was every bit as delightful. I love that each book in each series is as unique as its location.
Molly is a barista who loves the coffee puns, is habitually late, and has a secret identity…in addition to a loser boyfriend. When she dumps him, she convinces her regular customer Jeremy, also the owner of the motel she lives in, to be her fake boyfriend. Hello, fun times!
I absolutely loved the way these two came together and grew to know one another in a flurry of hospital visits, trivia nights, crosswords puzzles, and Han and Leia glory. All the deliciousness of a cozy shop and slightly quirky characters with secrets and sass, doused with yummy sounding drinks, made this one a perfect mid-winter read.
Many thanks to the author for a sweet and tasty story full of swoon and amusement.
Content: slow burn mild romance
*I received a complimentary copy. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and were voluntarily given*
Another coffee-fueled romance in a small town. I live for these books, especially when they are closed-door, swoony kisses only.
Despite an age gap of twelve years, I felt Jeremy and Molly were both on the same level. Jeremy is a little naive and seems younger, Molly has been living in the public eye since a child so has grown up quickly. But when it comes to love and romance, both are novices and cautious. Molly misjudged Dr Derek’s intentions and was hurt when he ditched her for a better life. Jeremy is shy and reserved and awkward talking to women so he doesn’t bother.
I loved the routines they fell into when Molly got hurt and Jeremy took care of her. He drives her where she needs to go, he feeds her soup, and they do crossword puzzles together. One of the best times though is when they attend a Star Wars-themed trivia night in costumes, a great pairing.
I loved watching them move from fake to real, it was natural and gradual, no big revelation, just knowing they felt real feelings for each other. A sweet and gentle romance with great humour and fantastic coffee-related puns. A whole latte of fun.
This is my first read from the Coffee Loft series and even though I may have missed some of the nuance brought on by returning characters, it stands very well on its own. Molly is a pun-loving barista with a secret past and when she breaks up with her boyfriend, she hatches a plan to fake date someone In walks motel owner Jeremy, who is a shy but sweet guy who always shows up for his morning coffee, punctually, each day and isn’t the biggest fan of the daily dose of coffee puns. This is a sweet, slow burn romance and Molly is such an endearing character, even her clumsiness is endearing. The author did a great job of slowly building the relationship between Molly and Jeremy with sweet scenes like the ER visit and an entertaining Star Wars trivia night. The coffee puns were adorable and in the end I just fell in love with these two characters. If you enjoy a sweet, clean, well written, slow burn romance, with engaging characters, then you’ll love this book.
Molly is enjoying the quiet life, but has finally settled in Jasper and she's working as a barista at the local coffee loft. Living in the local motel and having just split with her doctor boyfriend after him telling her she was just a fill in until he gets the new job he's after. Why is she never anyone's first choice. Jeremy runs the motel and lives a quiet blend in lifestyle, not really wanting much attention on him. That is until he goes for a pizza and ends up as a fake boyfriend to Molly, how does he manage to get in this situation. This is one of those stories that you end up saying to the characters open your eyes. Molly and Jeremy are a sweet couple but will Molly's hidden past come calling or will she finally be the number one choice for someone. Sit back with a nice cup of coffee and enjoy this new season of the Coffee Loft
I loved this story! It was so sweet and adorable. The characters were really likable.
It was so nice seeing Elliot and Safe again. I loved their story and they made great additions to this book.
Molly was a likable FMC. She was kind and brave, and witty. She didn't stand out as much to me as the MMC, but I still liked her (which is a good thing because sometimes I can get annoyed with FMCs)
Jeremy….he was such a sweetheart!! I absolutely adored him. You could tell he has a crush on Molly right away. He was sweet, kind, caring, funny…just a very charming MMC.
I don't want to give away any spoilers, but if you find the stereotypical Hallmark miscommunication trope where one gets mad at the other annoying - this is the book for you. I was afraid the author was going to go that route (a popular device in romance stories),but it didn't happen..Yayy.
I definitely recommend for a light, cute read. It would make a good Valentine's Day read
Is a sweet small town, fake dating, close proximity romance with no cliffhanger. Some of the lines I really like ---- "I can’t espresso how happy that makes me.” --- “Thank you. I appreciate you a latte.” --- “I think I can handle the twisting action as long as you tell me which thing to twist.” --- “You’re like a fixologist. Like a handy- man but cooler.” --- “Isn’t it wild how something less than ideal can shape you into an amazing human being?” --- “I can’t espresso how much that beans to me.” --- “Reading is a novel idea so it was bound to happen.” --- What's Derek up to? What's Max up to? These and other questions will all be answered I loved Molly and Jeremy's story and I'm sure you will too. I've loved everyone of her books that I've read and can't wait to read her next book.
A delightful read that combines humor, romance, and charming characters in a cozy setting. The story revolves around Molly, a former celebrity who now works at The Coffee Loft in the small town of Jasper. After a breakup with her boyfriend who is moving to pursue his dreams in the big city, Molly enlists the help of Jeremy, a regular customer and the owner of the motel where she stays, to be her fake boyfriend.
Their fake relationship starts to turn into something real and heartwarming.
The story is filled with amusing coffee puns, laugh-out-loud moments. The journey from a pretend relationship to genuine love is captivating and enjoyable.
The writing is smooth and engaging, making it easy to follow. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the small-town setting adds a cozy feel to the story.
This marvellous book is a delightful read. It has everything a reader’s heart desires. There’s a sweetheart of a man who is a gentle shy soul and runs a Motel and she’s a Barista at Jasper’s Coffee Loft , with Lofty ( couldn’t resist) goals. So she sells ,sells, and does sell some more.…Molly Griffith is a Barista see and everything is moving along pleasantly …until it isn’t . Her conniving ex put the hex on their happy ever after . He was never after their happy ever after dream . Just the here and now until he found his dream without her….she overhears him chatting so blatantly about her and the job he’s been offered in another town away from here and her! Well she throws down the flowers she’d brought in a huff, but hightailed it back for them . She’s had enough! She crafts a plan instead. Produce a fake boyfriend , shove him in his face. That’ll teach him to make her his ex. She’ll get in first by showing him her next beau. Jeremy Wentworth reluctantly agrees though he’s ever so shy. Will he be able to remember his lines? Oh my he does sigh. But he has lots of fun and he’s getting one over on his fiercest rival at Cosplay trivia night and finds Molly an absolute genius, a Star Wars mafioso, a delight and he just might like her a lot . Awwww. Hold on chum because Ho hum Molly has the feels too ,your quiet humour and your smile is a winner. Perhaps she loves it when you grin huh? Then she backs off , a little aloof. A little strange , a bit funny . Not at all how she was ,all bright and sunny. What it is that has put her on alert and her want desert is him , is one clue on a crossword he wants to do. … What can she do ? Run again or face the truth. Take her stand . Grin and face it . Oh strewth! Hold on and brace it. The media frenzy and everything that follows. All she knows is she wants to be with this fellow…. Some fakers they show you that the ones you seek are here the whole time. Just a hot cup of coffee away. Sublime! Love will always find a way….Love this Brewtiful story , the puns are a hoot ,of course they are it’s HM Shander who created this Barista and her shy mountain man . If anyone can then it oughta be she . Brilliant writing ,that’s ever so inviting and cute as can be. Sweet a real treat , he has charm and some whiskers and he does charm her she has a witness or two. Jeremy where’s that shy man gone, now you have your very own hon? Awesome romance! Loved this book ,I think you can tell. But shout it from the rooftops would if I could ,it’s that good.
I have nothing but great things to say about this Coffee Loft books...all 3 series. This 5 star read was a joy and delight from start to finish. I loved being in Canada and reminded of a few vacations I took there including driving through Jasper. I absolutely adored the characters and loved how their story evolved. The writing was excellent with only necessary narrative being used and very honest conversations that made the reader feel as if they were there. Room 16 sounded so cozy and comfortable and very much like home. I wish I was smart and could come up with puns as easy as the author did. They had me chuckling. I will say that this is a book that I would happily recommend to others and was a brewtiful read. Thank you to the author for my ARC copy of this adorably cute book.
This was a really cute book with an abundance of coffee puns. Jeremy is a quiet and shy motel owner that never misses his morning coffee at Jasper's Coffee Loft. Molly is the outgoing barista with the neverending puns. I mean she's fa-brew-tastic! She's just trying to start over in this small town and stay out of the spotlight. Literally.
Molly is a child star whose fame ended abruptly. She's just trying to make ends meet when she suddenly breaks up with her boyfriend right before a charity event. Not wanting to show up alone she asks Jeremy to be her fake date.
Jeremy shows Molly what a normal life is like and normal relationships. Molly starts to question when cat is really and what's not. Maybe this could be a start to something more.
Y’all! This book was such a great read. I loved Molly and Jeremy! This book has hidden identity, opposites attract and fake boyfriend tropes all working together with some great coffee loft puns. Jeremy and Molly are total opposites and yet, they go together like pb&j! Jeremy doesn’t see himself the way she does and I think that was my favorite thing about him. He’s such a sweet guy, quiet and reserved but secretly a lot of fun and so giving. Molly is hiding from her former movie star life, family and anything related to that. She falls in love with the town and everything it has to offer. I just loved her personality and the way she is effortlessly good at getting Jeremy to be himself. Definitely a book I’d recommend.
Oh my goodness! I really enjoyed reading, Mountain Bean Dream (The Coffee Loft Series: Mountain Brew Collection) by H.M. Shander because it was such a cute story about Molly and Jeremy. The story was told in Molly's POV. Her character was trying to make something new for herself. She was escaping her famous childhood. Jeremy's character was strong and quiet. They both started off as friends and something else but the lines were muddled. Loved all the coffee puns that Molly was saying throughout the story. I received an ARC of this story and I am voluntarily choosing to leave this review. Cute story that I would recommend reading!!!
This is another perfect addition to the Coffee Loft world. It's a swoony-kisses-only, her POV-only, a quiet cinnamon roll of a man, a hiding-out former actress turned barista, he takes care of her, he falls first, Canadian Mountain small-town vibes, an ornery grandma, and many cheesy puns. I usually don't enjoy books with a single POV, but HM has a way of writing her characters, so you aren't missing the other point of view. Watching Molly find herself and fall in love with Jeremy was the sweetest journey, especially since even if the character took time to notice it, the reader sees how he has already fallen. I look forward to what this author writes next.
