Wee Rex
Every morning Jane packs a backpack full of tuna to feed her alley cat friends, but one morning she discovers a big surprise. His name is Wee Rex, and he’s a little dinosaur full of big love. Jane takes him home and the two become best friends. That is until Jane goes to the museum and discovers how REAL BIG t-rex’s behave. But is Wee Rex like the dinosaurs of the past? Jane discovers that everyone deserves a chance, and you shouldn't let fears keep you from making great friends whether it be a tiny dinosaur or a girl in her classroom from across the ocean.

Great for themes of friendship!!
Jane is a compassionate girl who cares for strays but isn't quite sure about a certain someone she passes every day. She eventually gets a look behind the fence, so to say, and discovers a new friend after all.
This book explores the theme of not judging a book by its cover in a heartwarming way, as Jane learns to appreciate the beauty in differences. By the end, you'll be left with a deep appreciation for friendship and a desire to view others in a more compassionate light.
The sweet illustrations are beautiful to look at!

What a cute story about embracing differences instead of listening to rumors. Great friendship advice, too! This is a great book to read or to gift, one any child can enjoy and benefit from.

Fun story to share the truth that it is important to meet people who are different than us and get to know them as many rumors and stories aren't true. There are beautiful friendships to be had if we just reach out.
