Teagan’s voice wraps around me like a vise, luring me further into temptation with every word she speaks and with every move she makes. I’ve been watching her for months. Memorizing her daily schedule, her mannerisms, how she interacts. She doesn’t even know I exist. But she will.
Phoenix
My brother has it bad for our new stepsister and it doesn’t take me long to realize why. There’s something oddly mesmerizing about her. Maybe it’s her innocence, or the careful way she carries herself. Despite my obvious infatuation with her, one thing’s for sure. I’m going to enjoy breaking her.
Teagan
When my mother introduces me to my two new stepbrothers, I made an internal vow to myself to stay far away from them. It was a sound-proof plan. Or… so I thought. They lured me to a cabin in the middle of nowhere under false pretenses, claiming our parents orchestrated the outing. Now I’m at their mercy for the next two days with no way out.
Annika was born and raised in Oklahoma. She's an introvert with social anxiety, and spends all of her free time reading, writing, or caring for her three children. Annika is 23 years old and writes a variety of different things, all of which are dark in some way.
Please make sure to check the trigger warning for each of her books before jumping in, as they may be triggering.
Read your trigger warnings there’s some 🩸 lust in this one. The intro had me saying “um yes please! Here I come boys 😍”. Phoneix is a mischievous little fucker. King seems to have idk some kind of feelings 😂. Teagan is just kind of like “well there’s that…fuck”. This one took a sharp turn to the left and ended up in “fucked all the way up” land real quick! I feel I should seek therapy after reading the spicy scenes…mostly because I was like “why couldn’t they have picked me 😩😩”. Yup, therapy it is. That ending…I mean come on I’ll just be dangling from the cliff over here
Phoenix, King & Teagan: Well, that was quite the turn of events. I didn't predict the plot lines unfolding the way it did, but here we are. Those Santiago Brothers are a mess! I enjoyed the link between the previous books. I liked the questions it left me with. I need to know more!! This book was well written.
Tee hee! Can’t fault twins especially ones that like a bit of bl00d play 🤫
I can’t honestly say I wouldn’t mind having these two around, they’re just on the wrong side of unhinged and I’m all there for it. The Santiago twins’ father has just married Teagan’s mother thus making them her step brothers and they have plans for her.
Another quick read, giving us more intrigue into another set of lives. It flowed really well, a fast paced read with a smidgen of spice.
King and Phoenix are cunning. King has a hidden agenda. One that his brother Phoenix doesn’t know about until it is revealed to even him. King has been watching, waiting and setting a plan in motion to find out the truth of where the person is that murdered his brother’s best friend and both of their “brother” by the secret society standards they are in.
Teagan is pure and innocent. Goes to St. Valentine’s University. The rumours fly and she tries to ignore them. When her mother and their father announce their marriage that none of them knew about she is taken aback and now is in the sights of BOTH brothers. This novella is packed with action, murder, secrets, betrayal and blood….ehat will happen when they try to get to the bottom of their friends death and where is the murderer?
I gave this a 5 star rating because it kept my attention. It was page turning and detailed even for a novella.
This one was another one I wasn’t sure about but again I liked it more than I thought I would.
So this one is based around Teagan and new step-brothers King and Phoenix. Both boys are fully into the secret society thing. They like the blood and the pain that comes with it.
For the most part Phoenix just wants someone to blame for Maddox death and if he can’t kill Vivian then he likes the idea of going after her best friend Teagan. Except King had set everything in motion for her being in their lives because he really likes her.
It does look like this story will be continued so I’m gonna have to look out for it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story of King and Phoenix and their new “sister” Teagan
Part of our Valentine Series this book follows 3 more of our group of kids at the Saint Valentine University
We find out that Teagan was Vivian best friend and roommate and Phoenix friends with Maddox The twins blamed Teagan for the death of Maddox since she was friends with Vivi and wanted to exact revenge thinking she knows more that she should about the society
King is obsessed with her but it’s Phoenix who wants her and has to hope King doesn’t push too far with his bloodlust
grrr wasn’t fleshed out and I know it’s horror/ in the trigger warnings but it still creeped me out (the non consent 🙂↕️) PLUS DIDNT MOVE THE OVERALL STORY FORWARD UGH
This was such a great short read! King and Phoenix were absolutely unhinged, and I loved every second of it. King’s obsession with Teagan was everything, and I can’t wait for more of their story!
This one had me intrigued from the start and once I started reading it I couldn’t stop! I can’t wait to see what happens next for Pheonix, King, and Teagan.
Teagan's voice wraps around King like a vice. Each word and move she makes lures him deeper into temptation. She doesn't know it, but he's actually been watching her for months. He's been memorizing her daily schedule, mannerisms, and the way that she interacts. But Teagan doesn't even know that King exists. Soon though she will.
Phoenix knows that his brother King has it bad for their new stepsister Teagan. And watching her, it doesn't take him long to figure out why. She has something about her that is oddly mesmerizing. It could be her innocence or the overly careful why she carries herself. Phoenix soon finds himself ensnared with her himself, infatuation cursing through his veins, and he knows that there is one thing unquestionable, he's going to love breaking her himself.
Teagan made a vow to stay away from her two new stepbrothers, King and Phoenix, after her mom introduced her to them. She thought that it was a perfect and sound plan. At least, that's what she had thought. Then she let them lure her to that secluded cabin out in the middle of nowhere. Of course, it was under false pretenses. They had said that their parents had planned it all. For the next 2 days, she's at their mercy, and she has no way out.
Savage Valentine is a Dark MF Hockey Secret Society story that takes place in St. Valentine's University, a shared world. This story is only intended for readers 18+. Please read the trigger and content warnings prior to reading as there are triggering events that can trigger some readers.
Please be aware that Ruthless Valentine is the 5th book in the St. Valentine's University Series.
I was not expecting this one. I am still in shock over this installment of the St. Valentine's University world. I am used to MF, and suddenly, we have not one but two hot as hell men. And they are twins. And man, King and Phoenix know how to make the girls blush.
Ruthless Valentine grabs you from the first word of page 1 to the last word of the last page, and you don't get a reprieve. Ruthless Valentine is the very definition of what a dark, spicy, addictive novella should be. Annika Nofal has perfectly written this story and filled it with all the tension, obsession, spice, and the kind of chemistry that you want to see and read. Teegan is so innocent, kind, intelligent, and yet she is strong-willed and she finds herself suddenly into this intoxicating and very dangerous situation when her twin stepbrother King and Phoenix decide to pull her into their web of temptation and control.
King is the quieter twin. Honestly, I think he's the mastermind who likes to be thought of as brooding and an outcast more than anything. But, he's always watching what's going on around him, and he's always waiting for his moment to act. And he will only act when the time is right.
Phoenix is different. Actually, I think he is completely opposite to King. Phoenix loves to break any and all the rules, and he will not hesitate to break a heart. And together with King, they are a force to be reckoned with. A force that Teagan can't resist or escape, no matter how hard she tries and boy does she try.
I loved the way that Annika Nofal has developed these characters. King with his perfect silent possessiveness. Phoenix with his cruel and ruthless teasing. And Teagan with her internal struggle between her fear of King and Phoenix and the desire to give in to them. She was on the edge of creating this electric dynamic, and you can feel it play out on the pages.
You can feel the tension between Teagan, King, and Phoenix jump off the page like electricity that is delicious, unbearable, and untenable. You feel the push and pull of the romance, and you know that it's everything you ever wanted. This is the perfect dark romance.
I absolutely loved the writing. It was everything that I wanted. It was gripping, the pacing was absolutely spot on, and then there was the spice. You will need a cold shower after this book to get over it. I personally couldn't put it down, just like the other books in this series so far. All the moments between King, Phoenix, and Teagan are just so intense, and the mind games, that just make it that must be more intense.
This book is beyond steamy or even spicy. All the tension, chemistry, and power plays make it so addicting. The steamy scenes are not only intense they are perfectly written, and you can feel the emotion.
More than that, though, there is this depth to the characters that keeps this book from being just about the spice.
So, if you are in love with morally grey, possessive, dangerous charming MMC, antiheroes, an intelligent innocent heroine, an FMC caught in the MMCs trap, and the story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and your heart racing from page 1 to the very end, then Ruthless Valentine is the Book for you.
Book Review: Ruthless Valentine by Annika Nofal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Where do I even begin… holy shit! What is better than one overly gorgeous man?? Two who just so happen to be twins. King and Phoenix know how to make a girl blush… can I have these two in real life?!?!
From the very first page, Ruthless Valentine grabs you and doesn’t let go. This book is the definition of dark, spicy, and utterly addictive. Annika Nofal masterfully crafts a story filled with tension, obsession, and the kind of chemistry that sets the pages on fire.
Teagan, our innocent yet strong-willed heroine, is thrust into an intoxicating and dangerous situation when her two new stepbrothers, King and Phoenix, pull her into their web of temptation and control. King is the quiet, brooding mastermind, always watching, always waiting. Phoenix, on the other hand, thrives on the thrill of breaking rules—and hearts. Together, they’re an irresistible force that Teagan can’t escape, no matter how hard she tries.
The way Nofal develops these characters is pure magic. King’s silent possessiveness, Phoenix’s ruthless teasing, and Teagan’s struggle between fear and desire create an electric dynamic that keeps you on edge. The tension between them is deliciously unbearable, and the push-and-pull romance is everything you could want in a dark romance.
The writing is gripping, the pacing is perfect, and the steam? Let’s just say you’ll need a fan and a cold drink to survive this one. I couldn’t put it down! Every moment between King, Phoenix, and Teagan crackles with intensity, and the psychological mind games make it even more enthralling.
🔥 Spice Rating: 4.5/5 🔥 This book is seriously steamy—the tension, the chemistry, and the power play make for an intoxicating experience. The spice is intense, well-written, and emotionally charged, but there’s also a depth to the characters that keeps it from being just about the heat. If you love possessive, dangerously charming antiheroes, an innocent heroine caught in their trap, and a story that keeps you breathless from start to finish, Ruthless Valentine is a must-read.
Five stars aren’t enough for this masterpiece—I need more King and Phoenix ASAP!
“There was something deeply unsettling about these two; I just couldn’t put my finger on what it was.”
Ruthless Valentine was a fantastic read that I could not put down!! The tension, the build up, the spice — all of it was so well written & described, and it had me hooked 😍 After the way it ended, I am craving more of Teagan, Phoenix, and King’s story badly 💜
Teagan is a more shy, quiet fmc and I absolutely adored her character. She put up her guard with Phoenix & King at first, and I can’t blame her for that, but I also can’t blame her for giving into them 🥵 Even though she’s more introverted, she still has a feisty, defiant side to her that was shown, and her comebacks to the guys had me laughing!! Just when she starts to relax and open up a little bit at the end, the rug is ripped right out from under her. I’m sure I was just as shocked as she was at the end of this book, and wanting answers just as badly 😩🖤
Phoenix & King are the types of red flag men that you just can’t help but love. They are both so different from each other and I loved getting to see each one’s different sides and read their pov’s! King has an obsession and infatuation with Teagan, while Phoenix is more so after revenge. Well, originally 😏 Reading Phoenix’s inner thoughts after having a night alone with Teagan was honestly so sweet and I really enjoyed seeing a softer, caring, and more sensitive side to him after he was only being cold to her at first 💜 On the other hand, getting to see King’s darker, possessive side after he had been the one pursuing her at first was equally as enjoyable, in addition to seeing his softer side for her at the end as well! 🖤
This book was very well written and was packed full of sooo much tension and build up between the characters, and absolutely mouthwatering, delicious spice 😍🥵 This was a dark, gripping, spicy read that I would highly recommend!! And I desperately hope that we get to see more of their story really soon, because that ending was jaw dropping & left me speechless! 💜🖤

“Ruthless Valentine" by Annika Nofal is an electrifying addition to the Saint Valentine University series that pushes boundaries and keeps readers perched on the edge of their seats. This installment follows the intricate dynamic between King, Phoenix, and newcomer Teagan, weaving a story that's equal parts suspense and scorching chemistry. The narrative cleverly connects to previous storylines, revealing Teagan's connection to Vivian and the complex web of relationships at Saint Valentine University. The author masterfully builds tension through the twins' misguided vendetta against Teagan, whom they blame for Maddox's death. The resulting dynamic creates a perfect storm of danger, desire, and deception. What sets this book apart is its bold approach to character development. Phoenix's mischievous nature provides a perfect counterpoint to King's intense obsession with Teagan, while our heroine navigates their world with a compelling mix of vulnerability and resilience. The chemistry between the characters is explosive, and the author isn't afraid to take the story into unexpectedly dark territory. The pacing is relentless, starting strong and maintaining its grip throughout. The spicy scenes are notably intense, pushing boundaries while serving the story's darker themes. And that cliff-hanger ending? It's the kind that leaves readers simultaneously frustrated and desperate for more.Fair warning: this book isn't for the faint of heart. It comes with necessary trigger warnings and delivers on its promises of dark content. However, for readers who enjoy their romance with a hefty dose of psychological tension and aren't afraid of exploring the shadows, "Ruthless Valentine" is an addictive read that will leave you craving the next installment.Perfect for fans of dark academia romance who appreciate their stories with sharp edges, complex character dynamics, and scenes that blur the lines between pleasure and pain. Just remember to check those trigger warnings first - this one definitely earns them.
This is book 5 in. The St. Valentine’s series and it has ties to books 1,2,and 3. This book follows the Santiago twins who have been rumored to be some sort of dark and dangerous boys and their new little step-sister. Teagan is just a girl keeps her head down and does her best to blend into her surroundings which is weird seeing as she joined a sorority.
She gets the attention of King and Phoenix (the twins) once the 3 of them learn that their parents got secretly married. Phoenix has no idea why King was so set on Teagan and her mom and to make sure that Phoenix doesn’t bail he dangles bait. The bait is that she was close friends with Valentina who killed their leader who happened to be close friends with Phoenix. King wants to make her belong to him but Phoenix wants answers and revenge. Once back at the university they seek her out and set their plan in motion.
They take her out for a last minute “family” camping trip and she has no reason not to believe them despite the rumors. However as soon as they get to the cabin she learns their parents are not coming and they start with their plan to get info about Vivian. They learn she knows nothing about their cult and she just wants to return but Phoenix and King have other plans. King has an unhealthy obsession with Teagan so when he finds out that Phoenix took her first he snaps. He beats his brother and then chases after Teagan and claims her as well. This part of the book is rather taboo especially when the step siblings become intimate.I hope we get more on these three.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The fifth book in the St. Valentines series is centered around Teagan as she is introduced to her new twin stepbrothers, Phoenix and King. She doesn’t know but they’re are heavy into the secret society that’s been around Valentines University, loving the blood and the thrill of inflicting pain onto something else.
Phoenix is still extremely angry that Vivian took the life of the ‘cult’ leader Maddox and because he’s not able to physically kill her himself, he’s willing to go after the next best thing… her best friend Teagan. Ruthless is just as the title inform it to be as the next exciting and spicy chapter into the series.
Honestly, every book in the series has been nothing short of exciting as you get different POV from other students that attend the university where murderous sh!t takes place. I was waiting to see when the spotlight would be on King and Phoenix and was excited to see this one centered on those red flags.
Ruthless is a little taboo romance so check your TWs before proceeding. As like most of the prior books in the series, this one does end with a cliffhanger and I look forward to reading what is going to happen next!
teagan is the shy rich girl & was vivvy's 1st actual friend, while phoenix was maddox's bestie & the 🏒team's goalie. but in this novella, we also meet king... phoenix's fraternal twin who added an xtra deliciousness to the mix!!
with a bit of occult rituals, surprising news from her mom, a "𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘦" camping trip gone wrong... or 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 (its all in the perspective🤭), the introvert...and 𝑻𝑾𝑰𝑰𝑰𝑵𝑺?!? ooooof😮💨🔥 despite the 🚩🚩that might raise concerns... i juz cant stop thinking bout this!! the whole series juz dug its claws deep im juz sooo hooked!! loved this addition♥️
✨ 𝓡𝓾𝓽𝓱𝓵𝓮𝓼𝓼 𝓥𝓪𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓮 is Book 5 of the 𝘚𝘵. 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 with interconnected characters but can be read as a 𝘚𝘛𝘈𝘕𝘋𝘈𝘓𝘖𝘕𝘌

Another unforgettable and unputdownable addition to the ST Valentines World . I’ve loved every single book and found so many new authors to add to my list of one click authors. That being said . Annika’s Books really are in a whole category of their own . Yes I might be a little biased because Annika does happen to be one of my top ten favorite authors , but just pick up Ruthless Valentine as well as any other book she’s written and you’ll see exactly why that is . Do you love taboo romance, do you love dark secret society, s filled with intrigue, mystery and suspense, do you love step brothers and Male hero’s that are morally grey , obsessive, possessive and protective, well if so you are absolutely going to love Ruthless Valentine. I am not going to go into detail about how the story plays out because just trust me when I say this is one wild ride you’re going to want to take for yourself. What I will say is that no sleep was had last night , like at all !!! Because it’s truly just that addictive
Review: Okay okay now this book has one of my favorite tropes and I don’t know what to do with myself! 😂 I devoured this book! Completely ate it up and now I’m craving more! This is book 5 of a 10 novella series and let me tell you, each book just keeps getting better and better!! I was loving this twin brothers and the step sister for sure!! Obviously got me hooked & needing more of this story from the beginning. Ooo these just keep getting better and better ughh!!
Completely devoured this book and will continue too through this series. ❤️
The problem where you have a series of books about the same characters or characters that exist in the same world, that are written by different authors is that if they don’t communicate with each other you get a disjointed, inaccurate storyline.
In book one we were introduced to Maddox and Phoenix, one of the twin brothers in this book. In this book, the brothers are university students, so it’s fair to assume they’re age between 18 and let’s say 24.
In book one we’re told Maddox was 39, he was one of the professors, and that Phoenix was one of his best friends. There’s a scene where Maddox is remembering something from his past when he was 20 years old. In this scene he was being tortured by his father and his friend Maddox came in a few times to tend to him.
So Maddox was remembering a scene that was 19 years previously and Phoenix was there; so how can Phoenix be your university student in this book if he was with Maddox 19 years previously. Doesn’t make sense. books aren’t enjoyable if they don’t make sense.
The fifth book in the St. Valentine's series and honestly after a weekend of reading half of this series I'm definitely in the need of a break now! Each story written by a different Author has been incredible at how they have written their own story but kept each one still tightly connected to the whole main concept of dark and twisted scenarios and characters that attend the St. Valentine University with its secret society. You could read this as a standalone but there are so many avenues that connect back to the other titles in the series which simply gives you a better perception of the whole series, but definitely check the trigger listing. This instalment centers around the step-sibling trope and blood play. Again this story is really only a small glimpse into something much bigger and more sinister, I'm sure and to venture down into it, you'll first have to make it out alive of this story.
Ruthless Valentine by Annika Nofal is the fifth book in the St. Valentines series. You need to read books 1, 2, and 3 before diving into this one.
This was a hot and fast-paced read—at only 79 pages, it’s a thrilling and intense story and one of my favorites in the series. I NEED MORE OF KING, TEAGAN, AND PHOENIX! NOW!
The story revolves around Teagan, the best friend of book 1’s FMC, Viv, and the twins, Phoenix and King, who are part of a secret society Teagan knows nothing about. The twins are plotting to kill her and lure her into a secluded cabin in the woods to carry out their plan. Will Teagan survive?
Like books 2 and 3, this one ends on a cliffhanger, meaning King, Phoenix, and Teagan’s story will continue in a full-length novel.
This is the first book that I have readed from Annika Nofal. I have to say that I am hooked on her writing. Adding all her books to my TBR bucket.
I'm so happy that Teagan gets her own story. She made her first appear in Bloody Valentine by S.K. Pryntz. She definitely has her hands full with the double trouble twins. That is what comes to mind when I think about Phoenix and King Santiago.
Each twin gets their own time with her. I was not expecting that each encounter would be so hot. Granted, each brother was devious and psycho in their own way. I have to say I was sweating with the chase in the woods with King. Note to Teagan, "Don't piss off King in any way."
Now, this does leave on a cliffhanger of sorts. I can't wait to read what happens next in their story. Now on to the next book in the series, Ruined Valentine by Genevieve Ami Moon.
All I can think of: "HELP STEP BROS! I HAVE FALLEN AND I CAN'T GET UP!"
This book is classified as Erotic Thriller, and is book five of a shared world series. It does not have a trigger warning list.
The book is written in first person. This book has multiple point of views: Pheonix, Teagan and King. Pheonix has a twin brother named King, and he was close with Maddox (book one). Pheonix is also a part of the cult and plays hockey alongside his brother. Teagan's parents are divorced and she is a part of the sorority. She is going for Journalism and was close with Vivian (book one). King, he is absolutely obsessed with Teagan.
I gave this book four stars. The reason behind that is due to the lack of trigger warnings, when they are definitely needed. Also, with this being a part of a series, I feel like it should have been the full story, but the author is making it longer and into a slow burn in the future.
Another great cliffhanger. Ruthless Valentine is book 5 in the Valentine Series. This one so far has been my favorite.
Teagan finds out her mother got married to Phoenix and King's dad. She has tried to remain unnoticed by the Santiago twins. King has been obsessed with her and came up with hooking up their dad with her mother.
Teagan is still upset about Vivian disappearance, finds it funny that Maddox is missing, and the fact Zovalee is missing as well. The twins are on the hockey team and are actyally into the Society.
Maddox, being Phoenix's best friend, wants revenge, and he wants to take it out on Teagan. They trick her into a weekend camping trip to bent her to their mercy. They both can't get enough of their new sister. The twist at the end that they have a common situation that resulted in another two students' disappearance left me wanting more.
I can't wait for the continuous of Teagan, Phoenix, and King's story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
This one was a definite reminder to me of why you should ALWAYS read the trigger warnings first!
There was some very dark themes to this but the ending to the novella has me stoked to see where the rest of it goes. I love this series so far as the authors have all coordinated these characters into a like world and it makes it so intense wondering what’s coming next. I am grateful to have the opportunity to read these books and grow along side these characters and authors as they all find their own adventure within the walls of the pages.
This was dark, like I said, but who doesn’t love dark with romance? It’s necessary haha. Anyway. The continuation the author brought to this was intense like I said. I did not see the ending she had there and now I am desperate to see the rest. I am typically not a fan of slow burns, but this one was hook line and sinker for me. I am excited to see what she brings to the table next.
