This story was a little out of my comfort zone! The master/pet dynamic was definitely different for me, but having both POVs really helped me to get into it! I liked that Sophia was kind of bratty (will always love a brat) and that Nolan took care of her so thoroughly! The story was very fast paced and we got to learn a little more of the serum and operations, along with some twists and cameos from earlier books. I’m really excited to continue the series and see how everything is going to play out.

This book is absolutely unhinged—and I mean that as both a compliment and a warning.
Moony Luve does what Moony does best: throws you into a blender of trauma, obsession, dubious consent, and batshit plot twists, then tops it with some of the hottest, most original smut you’ve ever read. And somehow… it works.
Let’s be clear: this is not a plot-heavy book. There’s a storyline (secret organizations, a mysterious villain named Carter, masked alter egos, etc.), but it’s very much in the background. The real focus here? Depraved, chaotic, highly creative kink. And Moony delivers. From masked sex to wax play, spanking, caning, tentacle vibrators (yes, really), and a damn chastity belt—she gives you everything but a moment to breathe.
Nolan starts off as this obsessive, protective soft dom type. Then the switch flips and suddenly he’s kidnapping Sophia, slapping on collars, drugging her into sleep so he can belt her chastity shut, and saying things like “I own your fucking bones.” You’ll be horrified and turned on—and if that’s your flavor of fiction, you’re in the right place.
The pacing is whiplash. Emotional moments are slammed up against extreme kink with little warning. The inner monologues drag at times. You’ll wonder where five chapters went when the tone shifts overnight from “I need time to process my trauma” to “choke me on the beach while you tell me I’m yours forever.” It’s chaotic, but Moony somehow sells it.
Still, the last 25% finally kicks the plot into gear. The chaos tightens, the action lands, and the cameos from books one and two tie everything together in a way that’s satisfying and (shockingly) kind of brilliant. I closed the book dazed, slightly ashamed, and fully entertained.

The Smart One pulled me in from the very first page and didn’t let go. Nolan is the kind of obsessive, calculating, and dangerously intelligent hero that keeps you hooked—torn between logic and obsession, his devotion to Sophia is both thrilling and terrifying in the best way. Sophia’s internal struggle between fear and undeniable attraction made every moment electric. The tension, the chemistry, and the psychological push and pull had me on edge the entire time. The writing was sharp, the twists were unexpected, and the steam was off the charts. If you love dark romance with an unhinged yet brilliant hero, a heroine caught in a web of desire and danger, and a story that keeps you guessing, this is a must-read.

Moony Luve is a recent discovery in my genres and most definitely not a bad find I must say. I have drawn close to Moony’s books they are as unhinged and beautiful all at the same time. This story is dark and oh so very delicious to dive into the obsession and control over Nola and his mind. The twist and turns between his logical and then you have his darker side of absolutely insane. He battles so much while trying to still possess and own. Sophia is amazing. I don’t even get me started with Sophia. She’s going through so much too, she should be terrified of a mask then but she’s not he turned, turns her on which is a little concerning. And then you got her boss so perfect but you make sure you read this and be careful. Your mental health means more to us.

I cannot explain how good this book is! Between Nolan and his Darker side and Sophia finding herself caught in the middle, the dark romance of this story is exquisite. Paced to perfection and you almost scream at the page for certain reactions.
You think that would be enough but the addition of secret organisations, villains in the shadows and the battle between oneself. The story is wild and unpredictable and that makes it a wonderful read. It is impossible to know whether you want to root for characters or not at times but ultimately, in true Moony fashion every ends up where it needs to be for you to be satisfied.

this book is my favorite so far
This book is another fast paced hit and I didn’t think anyone could top my favorite guy in the series then here comes Nolan to take the lead! I really enjoyed seeing their story unfold and loved the Easter eggs in this one. The story ends on a cliffhanger so I will be (impatiently) waiting for the next book to come out?

Love how this is a combination of Iron Man and Mutants! Reading the prologue about D.I.D., my assumptions on the MMC was completely different! This was still a fun and spicy book to read! Looking forward to Book 4!

Nolan is incredibly smart, highly obsessive, possessive and very calculating in everything he does. His biggest obsession though, is Sofia. He stalks her without her knowing, torments her and visits her while she is sleeping. A true shadow creeper...
This story grips you from the beginning and keeps you on edge throughout because Nolan will do absolutely everything to keep Sofia safe. His world is like no other, and while this book ties in with the other two, it lays a true foundation for what is to come! I can’t wait for more from this author.

I don’t know where to begin with this one 😅 I don’t know whether to love Nolan, be absolutely devastated, or absolutely disgusted 😫 this book gives me all the feels it’s overwhelming.

He takes no shit when it comes to Sophia and does absolutely everything to keep her safe, and get her back. Sophia is just an unlucky bystander who falls prey to horrible shit, all because she is Nolan’s obsession. But I mean who can turn down Nolan? It’s fine, fine, it’s fine!
