Don’t Ask Me For A Red Rose: Ethereal verses on Love, Nature & Humanity

Rate this book
Without doubt, poetry is the crown of literature, as W. Somerset Maugham rightly stated. And as Matthew Arnold put it, poetry is the most beautiful, most impressive and most effective way to say something. A good poet is both the conscience and the interpreter of the society he/she lives in. A poet observes just like a scientist. However, unlike most people, he does not make his observations only with his head eyes. He has a third eye. The eye of the heart. He looks at events, objects, nature and relationships between people with the eye of the heart and most of the time, the poet sees what other people cannot see. He shares what he sees with the society with the most beautiful words and expressions, which we call poetry.

However, not everyone who writes poetry is a poet, and not every piece of writing written in the form of poetry is poetry. I always say: Poetry is not saying everything that comes to your mind or putting fancy words together in a line. Poetry is distilling your soul into meaningful rhymes.

On the other hand, unfortunately, especially in the Western world, poetry has lost its former glory. Children and young people no longer read poetry. This does not bode well for the future of our world and humanity.

Walter Scott says:

Teach your children poetry; it opens the mind, lends grace to wisdom and makes the heroic virtues hereditary. I would also like to add that: Read poetry, let your children read it too. Because poetry is the only plane tree left in the center of a concrete city. Because poetry is one of the last human bastions against artificial intelligence.

Within this context, in this poetry book titled "Don't Ask for a Red Rose from Me", you will find poems written specifically for children, in addition to the themes of Love, Nature, and Humanity. I also included my aphorisms on various areas of life in chapter 5.

The book consists of 5 chapters, 241 poems and 31 aphorisms regarding every front of life

If you read and like my book, I would be happy if you could write a review on Amazon.

If you don't have an idea about this book and the poet, it will be enlightening for you to read the comments left by readers on his previous books.

Warm regards,
Khan EAGLE

Hi Eagle
I am a bookshop owner from Denmark. A friend advised me your books and i bought your last book. I must confess that the more i read the more i fall in love with your poetry. The title is shocking. The cover is extremely beautiful and meaningful. The content is jaw dropping. I would be more than happy to sell your books in my book shop if you let me. I see your books are on sale on Amazon. Yet, if they are available for 3rd party sales, i would certainly sell your books. I opened this account just to reach you. Looking forward to hear from you dear amazing poet.

Dearest readers/followers
Although its striking and intriguing, i guess most of you wonder why I created this title, what is the story behind it.
The title of the book is in fact the title of one of my poems in the book. As you read the poem, you will understand and appreciate why i used this title.

DON'T ASK ME FOR A RED ROSE

Don't ask me for a red rose
Blood comes to my mind
Don't ask me for a white rose
Reminds me of innocent people who died
Don't ask me for a black rose either
Recalls me of death
Don't ask me for a yellow rose
Calls up me that life is temporary
Don't ask me for a pink rose either
It hurts to know that the world is not rosy
You'd better ask me for a blue rose
Only blue gives me peace

Khan EAGLE

And another poem completing the message:

BLOOD RED
As the world is painted blood red
How can I give you red roses?
How can I kiss your lips
that resemble red goblets?
How can I praise your red dress
that it dazzles the gazing eyes
Forgive me my darling
I'm not well these days
Let alone the red roses
I'm even ashamed to utter
the word "red"

Best regards

I am so excited to hold my favorite poet, Khan Eagle's third poetry book in my hands now, which has just been published. I had bought his previous two books and read them over and over. When you read them, you will realize that no matter how many times you read Khan Eagle's poems, they will never bore you. On the contrary, they will leave a different taste in your mouth every time you read them.
I am awestruck with his latest book, "Don't Ask Me For A Red Rose,” both in terms of its scope, cover and content.
We can see the book as a manifesto of love. However, in addition to love, there are many deep and meaningful poems about nature, children and humanity in the book. Moreover, i really appreciated his aphorisms regarding every aspect of life.
I am thinking of giving the book to my loved ones as a gift, as I have done in the past. I strongly recommend it to anyone interested in literature!

MUST READ MASTERPIECE*****
When evaluating an object, work or product, we make ratings such as good, very good and best. But sometimes the best is not enough for us. If we like it very much, we say the best of the best. This book deserves the rating of the best of the best in the field of poetry. Here's why:
First of all, it is not limited to a certain subject. It contains exquisite poems related to every area of our lives.
Secondly, the poet's writing style and his unique language. This unique and melodic language never bores you.

Ever meet a mountain at the base and look up? What you see isn't the true essence of its power but you feel its power and it's invite to climb to the top. Taking the challenge means trust courage and strength. Caution is a must in the climb accomplishment once on top. Like the nested flying creature we trust the beauty fear the fall and then embrace the flight into places we have been afraid of my whole life. Thank you for helping me climb above my doubts to share my words locked under limits set in my learned helplessness. Khan your words are a gift.
