I have waited for this sequel since the moment I finished the first book and my god was it worth the wait! It was so nice to be back in Mildred’s life, with her naivety about what’s going on around her and her cats’ life. Reading this book felt like going back to her house, as an old friend, sitting on her dusty couch, witnessing the series of events that unfolds before her eyes. This second chapter picked up exactly where the first one left off, answering most of the questions from the first but it also opens up for more questions and answers in a sequel. It was more fast paced than the first one, which made it even more impossible to put down and, being local to the area, it was fun to be able to picture the areas where parts of the story takes place. Do yourself a favour and go read this book! Same as with the first one, it left me with a bittersweet feeling when I finished it, because you’d want the story to continue and you want to know more so I will be patiently waiting for the third chapter in this adventure :)

A compelling and dramatic sequel
This book continues the story of Mildred taking the reader deeper into the secret world of the ancient order. The first book really sets the scene but this takes the story to a whole new level. Much faster paced than the first, the strange and sometimes dark secrets unfold quickly with dramatic twists and turns and humour too.
The individual personalities are well developed and you cannot help but become invested in Mildred and wonder what is in store for her. The history and hidden meanings of the secret world continue to be revealed as the story reaches its dramatic final scene followed by some intriguing additions that will leave you wanting to know more. Hopefully, the third instalment will follow soon.

If you enjoyed the first book, you will for sure love this one! Such an exciting and well written book and a perfect sequel to Mildred the crazy cat lady. It's full of action, twist and turns! Each chapter ends with hooks and leaves you with questions making it impossible to put it down. This book answeres so many questions from the first book, but at the same time, leaves you with new ones and even more excitment as you go on. You really get invested in the story, this universe and the different characters in it, and this series is really a must read! Can't wait for more books to hopefully come out! 100% reccomended.

I read the first book in the series a few months ago, and I couldn't put it down.
I've been waiting for this for some time and was able to order it through the author's website before it went on national release.
It was worth waiting for! Just wow! I was hooked from the very beginning, I don't want to detail any spoilers but so many questions from the first book was answered. If the author continues to write in this way, this series will be epic, its got film rights written all over it.

Fantastic sequel - hopefully more to come
Having enjoyed the first book so much, I bought the sequel directly from the author's website. I wasn’t disappointed. The book moves at a much faster pace than the first and I couldn't put it down – it only took me a couple of days to read it. I have even ordered more copies as Christmas presents for friends. It reaches a dramatic conclusion and now I can't wait for the next book - I hope the author is a fast writer.

I did struggle with Book 1 but glad to stick with the series for book 2, really couldn't put this one down, much faster pace than 1st one and easier to read/follow....

This book is amazing! I've been looking forward to reading it. I love the different view points from not just Mildred, but others too. It creates more excitement. It just got more exciting the more that I read, I really recommend this book. 🤭👍
