Every time BookSprout lets me know that Laura Greenwood (with or without Arizona Tape) has a new book ready, I don't hesitate and click download. You probably read it before, but I happily repeat it, but those books are the ultimate comfort reads. Exciting enough to keep my attention, sweet and easy enough to work even on the worst of days.
I was quite happily surprised that this book was taking place in an entirely new world. This time the world has met its apocalypse and only few people are left and they built all those different places to live in small communities with the earth and everything they have left. And even though there are no lengthy and boring descriptions, I still understood how the world came to be and what it was like.
Just like I understood the magic and how it worked even though we were never really explained the how. We just saw different witches use it. It's a great example of show don't tell and it also means that the story and the way it's told feels natural and realistic. After all, characters don't have long inner monologues explaining the world to themselves in real life, right?
I think in this case the romance went a little fast for me. It's hard to explain what made the difference with previous Greenwood books, but I guess it's because a lot of the casual conversations, the kind about families and friends and hobbies and loves, are happening off page. The characters get the chance to connect, but we're not really there to witness it.
However, I still liked the characters and their journey and I'm excited to discover more stories and places in this world!

The Tea Witch's Treaty is the second book in the Purple Oak Oasis series. This is a reworked series and this is the first book that was also in the original series, so I was quite curious to find out how much had changed and whether I would enjoy this book.
After reading book 1,5 I feel like I am fully established in this fantasy world and the reworked series and I wonder if this book would disrupt that as this couple had their story in the original series. I am glad to say it didn't, while it features the same couple and the main set up for their romance with the treaty, the whole book is completely different. I don't think there's anything besides the basic set up and characters that is leftover from the original series. So it mostly read as a new book and I enjoyed reading this story.
I liked reading about Jasmine and Ryburn. They dryads from Grower's Cove are visiting to establish a trade agreement with Purple Oak Oasis and Jasmine is feeling the pressure as she's handling a lot of it and is the head of the Purple Oak delegation. She ends up falling for Ryburn the head of the Grower's Cove. They don't want to give in to their feelings as the trade agreement is so important, but they grow closer and end up exploring their feelings after all.
This is a sweet romance with a bit of steam toward the end. There is very little drama, although there is a bit of a confict as they have to manage their growing feelings, while not letting it disrupt the trade agreement. I would've liked a bit more time for them to get to know each other after the trade agreement was in place as now they never could fully give in to their feelings until after that and that last chapter was a nice one. I also wish there had been an epilogue of some sort as I would've liked to see what is next for them and how their romance progresses, but hopefully we get to see more of them in future books.
I liked seeing a bit more of the world and visiting Grower's Cove in this book. It also was fun to see the couple from book 1 make some appearances and seeing Brew interact with Jasmine who is his sister. It's a fun cozy fantasy series so far and I look forward to the next book.
To summarize: I really enjoyed this book. While this is a reworked series and this book was in the original series as well, the story feels completely new and only shares the fact it has the same main character and plot set up. Jasmine has to get a trade agreement with grower's Cove in place an ends up falling for the head of the delegation Ryburn. This was a sweet romance with a bit of steam later on and with no drama and only a bit of conflict. I enjoyed the story, reading about their growing romance and seeing more of the world.
I wasn't quite sure whether to read this series or not, but as I got the first book for free and was in the mood for a series with a different couple per book I decided to pick it up. This book had an unique set up and it was fun to read, although I would've liked to see a few more romantic scenes and I had some trouble visualizing the world.
Nymph's trust is the first book in a paranormal romance set in a post-apocalyptic setting. This first book features a tea witch Jasmine and Ryburn who is a nymph. The two meet when they're trying to negotiate an agreement, Purple Oasis wants to bargain for some of the tea that Grower's Grove has been successfully growing.
I have to admit I found the idea of tea witches a bit odd at first, but I also thought it was pretty unique. I liked reading about how they got magic from tea and that sure seemed like a struggle in a post-apocalyptic world and thus their determination to get more of it. I had wished we had seen a bit more of what they could do with their magic. The nymphs their magic was easier to visualize and I liked the description of Ryburn's magic use.
The focus seemed to be on the plot first, but it's also what led the main character to meet. I liked seeing them world together on the agreement and also how they spend some time together while doing that, but I would've liked to see a bit more of them together while not working on the agreement or trying to avert disaster. It felt like this was just the start of their romance and I didn't feel like we got to fully see it blossom.
The world is post-apocalyptic, but I struggled a bit to visualize it all. There is no information about what caused the end of the world, although maybe that's not really relevant either as the focus is on the rebuild afterwards. I liked that focus on the rebuilding afterwards, but I hope we get to see more of the state of the world now as I had trouble visualizing things and knowing what they have and what not and how the world looks. So I just used a generic post-apocalyptic image for what I imaged the world to be.
The ending wraps up the plot line for the trade agreement as well as some trouble Jasmin and Ryburn try to prevent. Their romance ends on a hopeful note, although I am still not sure what will happen next and whether Ryburn returns to his grove or not. I hope we see more of them in future books. There is a nice set up for the next books in the series and I am interested enough that I plan to continue the series.
To summarize: I enjoyed reading Nymph's Trust. It follows the story of Jasmine a tea witch who has to make contact with a group nymphs to try and create and agreement for trading their tea. Her contact from the nymphs is Ryburn and they quickly grow fond of another. I admit I found the idea the idea of tea witches a bit odd at first, but it was also pretty unique and I liked reading about how things worked. I liked Jasmine and Ryburn together, but would've liked to see them spend some time outside of their work on the agreement and trying to avert some trouble. I had some trouble visualizing the post-apocalyptic setting, but I did like the focus on rebuilding and hope. I am curious to see what comes next in this series.
One of the best things about this book is Jasmine's competence. All too often women are portrayed as working hard and just managing to get by or struggling with their emotions at work, stuff like that. But Jasmine is her mother's assistant. Jasmine is one of the most important people in her community. She's great at what she does and people respect her for that.
We don't know as much about Ryburn, because his family wasn't in the previous books. But it's obvious he has a strong relationship with his brother, and that's always a good thing to see. Again, all too often, male relationships just follow the codes of toxic masculinity.
In this case we have his brother excited to be a father for the first time and Ryburn supporting his brother, wanting to do a good job for his community. It's refreshing.
Amidst all of the cozy happy supportive good feelings is a rather jarring note. And I know it's not that for everybody, but it's something that bothers me and so I really need to talk about it.
Jasmine is talking to her brother about travelling and he awkwardly talks to her about contraception, although they are medical family (so she would know about it, as her younger sister does ), and he's a medical person so talking to your sister about contraception should not be an embarrassing thing. Medical practitioners should not be embarrassed about talking about contraception to anyone.
He says something that is actually untrue. (And perhaps the authors don't know this, because it's certainly an untruth that is bandied about with great regularity.) Brew tells Jasmine that one of the reasons she's unsettled is because "medically your body wants babies".
Hell no. There is no such thing as a biological clock. Someone made that up a few decades ago and people immediately took it as truth. There is no biological imperative for people who are assigned female at birth to want babies in their twenties. Many people want to be parents. But that's personal choice, social pressure, family pressure. There is zero biological backing for this. And it makes me uncomfortable to think of my body being viewed as a machine that was built for children. I certainly have had children, as with my choice, but it was that. It was a choice.
What Jasmine is experiencing is lust. No dreams of babies required.
Given the short length of these books, people move from "oh he's cute" to sex really quickly. Just accept that, or if you are like me skip ahead, and it's fine. The community is the focal point of the narrative; the people in each book just add to that story.
I'm loving experiencing this world through the eyes of the different members of Purple Oak, and look forward to learning more about the tea shortage and how they are going to fix it!!
This is just one story within the Tea Apocalypse Anthology.............. Short n sweet! A cute story about growing up and being responsible and falling in love. A war leaves the world totally changed, and cut off according to this story, and life has changed for people. Magic is prevalent and it sounds like all that's keeping things going. PO is a group of tea witches and their tea shortage is affecting their magic. PO reaches out to TG to try and initiate a trade agreement for tea and in exchange for something the TG needs or wants. Jasmine is a young tea witch who lives at the Purple Oasis. Unfortunately, tea is how tea witches recharge their magic and it is in short supply. When the congress hears a rumor that there is a nymph cove that is growing tea, Jasmine is chosen as the envoy to meet with a representative of the cove to broker a deal for some of their tea crop. She is honored, but very nervous. Her father is the leader of the Oasis congress and she is his heir. All eyes will be on her.
Ryburn is a river nymph who lives in Grower's Cove where the dryads use their magic to assist in the growing of crops. Their leader, Mother Nature, is a powerful nymph. She picks Ryburn to meet with the representative from Purple Oasis to see about making a deal with them for some of the tea they are growing. She wants an agreement that includes the witches agreeing to start restoring land within the Oasis.
I won't spoil it for you. As you can probably imagine, it includes a love story.

This is a unique collection of stories of paranormal romances based on tea. The stories are written by many of my favorite authors, and it also helps The Tea Leaf Trust. The story in this box set I'm reviewing is Nymph's Trust by Laura Greenwood & Arizona Tape. Nymph's Trust by Laura Greenwood & Arizona Tape Jasmine is anxious about her meeting with the Purple Oasis congress that's run by her father. During the meeting Agatha says she heard about some tea growing at Grower's Grove by the nymphs. With tea being rare, Jasmine is sent to broker a deal with the nymphs. Ryburn who has affinity with water is summoned by Mother Nature to check out the offer of Purple Oasis. What happens when they meet was an engaging story within this box set. There is twist and turns within this story for not everyone is happy about the new treaty between the two groups. Will the treaty and their blooming romance continue? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received an ARC copy from the author and though I wasn’t required to write a review, I wanted to offer my honest, voluntary impression of the book.
A story about two different races attempting to forge an alliance which will benefit both of them. Each has what the other needs and desires but traditions are hard to break to allow outsiders in. When the leaders of both groups get together, they find more than just the alliance between them but a growing attraction. Can traditions be superseded in favor of personal needs or will the attraction have to be extinguished?
I enjoyed this story which shows what can happen when an opportunity presents itself that can help both by agreeing to a treaty. Being open and honest with each other is the way to foster long lasting treaties and relationships!
I recommend this book as one I believe most everyone will enjoy when you look at it as it’s intended. Fears and uncertainty plus reluctance to open up and embrace others not of your own can disrupt budding friendships if not addressed and corrected.
Off-grid communities working together Nature centers and grounds us, so it’s important to utilize our resources in the best possible way. Not only to ensure of plenty, but also to ensure we are at optimal functioning levels. “Work smarter, not harder” can manifest as knowing when to grow and when to trade instead.
When seeking improvements, there’s no better way to receive advice than from somebody who will tell you straight up what’s wrong. Ryburn brought along Ford to Purple Oak Oasis for the sole intent of being kept on his own path during the negotiations, but the latter’s frankness almost immediately benefits Jasmine and Earl with their tea garden.
I like how the trade talks are quite fluid. The more the two communities talk, the more they each realize exactly how the other could assist, both short-term and long-term. This visit turns out to be very “fruitful” for all parties involved!
Next in series is Cami with some Night (Guard) action in ‘The Bat Ward's Watch’.
The trade routes have been cut since the world changed so what’s a tea witch to do? Well in the case of the tea witches of Purple Oasis establish a trade agreement with Grover’s Cove nymphs who’ve managed to grow tea in British soil. Jasmine is selected as representative of the Oasis and Ryburn represents the Cove. Both re young but the end of the world changes how you grow up so a couple of teens are brokering a huge treaty for each of their factions. When something soils the water in the Oasis can they find the source and stop it before the treaty is ruined? Read on to find out. Sweet romance in a post apocalyptic world. Great world building. Not heavy on the doom and gloom more on this happened now what happens after. How do people adapt, survive and thrive even in the new reality. Quick enjoyable read.

A lovely sweet romance between a witch and a dryad as they negotiate a trade between their towns.
Jasmine just wanted to secure an alliance with the dryads so they could get more tea plants for Purple Oak, but she keeps needing to remind herself not to be distracted by the dryad leading the group visiting.
Ryburn doesn't want to leave Grower's Cove or his family oak tree but he's the best to lead a group to gain an alliance with the tea witches. But when he arrives at Purple Oak he soon realises the tea witches might be willing to offer more than originally suggested, and he might want to spend more time there.
Can they come to a trade agreement and find a way to follow their hearts at the same time?

This is a collection of eight stories of fantasy, science fiction and paranormal romance variety. The stories all share a theme of a tea apocalypse (the horror!), but otherwise are separate stories with different characters and settings. They all are well written and easy to read with plots that are both engaging and fun. The characters all tend to be well developed and likeable which makes the stories that much more fun. As with most collections, you get a variety of authors including some new and some old. I loved the opportunity to get to know some new authors and I definitely found some new ones to explore. Overall, it was a great collection with plenty of entertainment value.
Highly recommended.
I received a free copy of this book for review purposes.
This is a great new story by Laura Greenwood. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
It has been a few years after the apocalypse that changed the world. Jasmine is a tea witch and her Oasis is in need of tea. There is a rumor that tea has been growing in another place. Her father wants her to make a deal with the Growers Coven if they do have tea leaves growing. Ryburn is a water nymph who has been tasked by Mother Earth to meet with Jasmine. There is a connection between them. They make some concessions before agreeing to the trade. What will happen when they discovered someone isn't onboard with the plan?.

Jasmine lives in Purple Oasis, her world is now post apocalyptic, and she's a tea witch. Her father is the leader of Purple Oasis at the moment and is working hard to lead his people to a better life. Tea is in short demand, but they might have found a solution. Enter a hot nymph that has the power of purifying and communing with water.
Will Jasmine help bring Purple Oasis into a brighter future? What will her future hold with the nymph? Can she work against time to catch someone that wants to hurt Purple Oasis, not help it.
Fun, great, fast read. I loved the interactions of the characters and I look forward to the new stories in this series.

The tea witches of the Purple Oak Oasis need a steady supply of tea to provide healing to the other residents. As a member of one of the founding families and her mother’s second in command, Jasmine Brewster is tasked with forming a trade alliance with Grower’s Cove. When the delegation arrives, Jasmine finds herself distracted by Ryburn, the dryad leading the group. As they spend more time together, their attraction to each other grows. As important as the alliance is, Jasmine doesn’t want to jeopardize it, but her heart has a different plan. Can they find a way to make both the alliance and a relationship work?
The Tea Witch’s Treaty is the second book in The Purple Oak Oasis series by Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape. This version has been revised from an earlier edition with the reworking of the series. Jasmine is a wonderful heroine with a strong sense of duty, carrying a heavy load as a member of one of the four core families. I like how she realized that she could delegate some of her responsibilities to her sister by the end of the book. Ryburn was an interesting character as well. The chemistry between Jasmine and Ryburn jumped off the page and I was definitely rooting for them to find a way to be together. The world building in the series is well done and each book expands it a little more. The system of magic is being fleshed out as well with the different types balancing each other. The romance has a little heat to it, but is mostly sweet. The story works well as a standalone.
The end of the world as they knew it meant that Jasmine's people had to ration the tea that gives them their power. She is tasked to form an alliance with an oasis which is rumoured to be able to grow tea in the Bitish Isles - but when she meets Ryburn, she findsw more than tea on her mind. Who is pooisoning the spring at the Purple Oasis? Water is their most precious commodity, and when they learn that someone is trying to destroy it, Jasmine and Ryburn try to solve the mystery. Will they succeed? Loved it!

Jasmine participated in the sacred tea ceremony, under the inquisitive eyes of her father.
She was watching her little brother Earl who was struggling to stay still.
Soon, her father entrusted her with a delicate mission...

A very good surprise for this refreshing reading which seemed a little boring to me at the very beginning of the book.
I then very quickly plunged into a fantasy story, a bit post apocalyptic, fascinating. I liked the two main characters, rather reserved but sincere, as well as the mysterious plot of the story.
Purple Oasis has water but needs tea. Grower’s Cove has tea but wants pure water. A treaty must be negotiated to benefit both colonies in the post-apocalypse world. Jasmine, a tea witch, meets with Ryland, a water nymph. He is the Grower’s Cove emissary. It is more than the treaty that is drawing them together. Both want success but there are politics at work that might mean failure.
This is a good start to a paranormal series. The characters have a nice mix of personalities that should provide opportunities for various adventures. I received a free copy of this book but my review is honest and voluntary.
Laura Greenwood and Ariana Jade have created a lovely little world called Purple Oasis where witches who renew their magic with tea live. In this book, a witch named Jasmine is heading up a treaty (hence the name) with a neighboring village, wanting to set up trade. She immediately feels attraction to the head of the group from Grower's Cove, Ryburn, and they also work well together in getting what each village needs to thrive. Both of the main characters are sweet, and this works well as a whimsical yet low stakes cozy fantasy. If you want something easy to read (with a little bit of spice) that will leave you smiling, definitely check out this book.
Jasmine is chosen to see if the rumor of tea being grown on British soil is true. If it is true, she needs to make a deal to bring some home. Ryburn is a water nymph who is chosen by Mother Nature to travel to see the Tea Witch. Ryburn and Jasmine are attracted to each other but decide to hold off until the deal is made. Someone is against this happening, and they need to find out who it is and why they are fighting this so hard.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Nymph's Trust by Laura Greenwood. This read is part of the Tea Apocalypse: Love In The Time Of Tea Anthology. All the quick read stories in this anthology revolve around the lack of tea and the (paranormal) council's attempts to locate tea. Ms. Greenwood gives us Jasmine and Ryburn's story, a who-done-it and what can they do about it. Action, adventure, romance and tea! A great read.
This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy through Booksprout.
after the end of the world they knew, shifters, nymphs, dryads and witches tended to group together to make use of existing resources
Jasmine belongs to a relatively strong group of tea witches, and is the heir to their leadership. tea gives them the ability to heal and use other powers
Ryburn is a water nymph with great skills for healing and purifying waters
can they work together to help build the land, clean the waters, and thus help their peoples?
dramatic action and romance

Jasmine has a goal as Purple Oasis liaison to gain a treaty for tea plants from Growers Cove. Using self confidence to build up her courage, Jasmine hasn't been treated seriously being the only daughter and heir to Purple Oasis. Wishing to make her father proud, Jasmine encounters Ryburn, a water nymph delegated to handle the negotiations. Little do Jasmine and Ryburn realize their attraction will spark chemistry and a budding romance. Whimsical romance with a mystery to solve on who is polluting their pure water source.
That was so cute. It’s paranormal in a way I had never considered before, but I don’t suppose you can get much more “British” than witches whose powers are fueled by tea. I thought Jasmine and Ryburn were adorable in their newly minted envoy statuses. And the dash of political intrigue had me wondering how they were going to catch their villain and who it would turn out to be. I had a little bit of trouble getting into the story at first, but once my attention was caught, I was hooked to the end.
An interesting start to the series. I enjoyed how the Nymph’s were not just going to help someone who would ruin the land and wanted proof it would be taken care of. Jasmine was sent to represent Purple Oasis and Ryburn the Nymphs. They quickly see each other's side and fall in love. I don't usually love post-apocalyptic books but I enjoyed the sweet romance and rebuilding of a community. You have to read this book to see what agreement is reached and Jasmine and Ryburn happy ending. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jasmine is a tea witch and the daughter of the ruler of Purple Oasis. It is a place where most of the tea witches live, but they have a big problem: the tea they need for their magic powers is nearly inexistent. They have heard rumours about some nymphs who have managed to grow tea and Jasmine is sent to that place to negotiate with them. And that is the way she meets Ryburn, the nymph designated to negotiate with her. I did like this story. It is sweet, easy to read and very enjoyable. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The story in this book has evolve since its original release. In a good way. I do not recall any mention of an apocalypse. The people are all magical and settled where they are due to resources. There are nymphs, dryads, and witches, along with subsets for each that specialize in different things. I found it to be quite unique.
There's definitely cozy vibes along with well intentioned spice. If you're looking for that, look no further and give this a read! I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
‘The Tea Witch’s Treaty’ is a cozy, sweet, sexy story that will have you hooked from page one. Ryburn and Jasmine are one of those ‘perfect’ couples that makes you want to simultaneously wring their perfect little necks and switch lives with them. Very, very good book.
