A Few Little Scars
Molly Fletcher was desperate to escape small town life, but she was stuck working in her father's hardware store until her brother was discharged from the military. She had big plans to move to Nashville and make it as a hair and makeup artist in the booming country music scene. Getting swept off her feet by the ultra-rich and devastatingly handsome son of country music legend, Leroy Logan, wasn't on her to-do list.
Nick Logan didn't follow in his father's footsteps. He had a gift for making money in the stock market and had no desire to spend his life in the studio or touring arenas. He had just moved back to Nashville from NYC when he met Molly. He was instantly drawn to her. She had unique facial features, including a beautiful scar that ran along her cheek. Although he had a reputation as a player, Nick found it impossible to resist Molly and pursued her every chance he got.
At first Molly didn't mind the attention she was getting from this tall, dark stranger. That was before she realized she wanted more than a friends with benefits situation with him. Her only option was to avoid him if she ever wanted a normal relationship with someone else.
That was easier said than done.

A Few Little Scars is the second book in the How to Tame a Heartbreaker series from Casey McMillin and is Hannah’ s best friend Molly Fletcher.
Molly wants to leave her small hometown and move to Nashville, and fulfill her dreams of becoming a hairdresser and makeup artist, but she stuck working with her dad until her brother leaves the military. On a visit to see Hannah see meets Jason’s sexy rich best friend Nick Logan someone, Molly knows he should stay away from. When Nick meets Molly, she instantly intrigues him, and the more Molly resists him the more he wants her.
“There was something about her something about her face, but he couldn’t figure out what it was.”
Nick made me laugh because he was so taken with Molly he didn’t know what to do with himself. I liked Molly, she was a cool character, but I did find her little indecisive at times. Molly and Nick certainly have great chemistry.
“They were both breathless. The desire that flowed between them was palpable”
I enjoyed the story, told in third person. I liked the way things take longer to develop between Molly and Nick. It over months not weeks and it might be instant lust, but is not instant love. The story does have a small a love triangle aspect, but that’s more to do with the fact that Nick keeps pursuing Molly.
“She was utterly helpless to look at anything but Nick. It was one of those rare moments in life where you just know the other person is feeling it too.”
Loved seeing the Hannah and Jason again and seeing how nicely their relationship is developing. Loved the advice that Hannah and Jason gave to Molly and Nick honest and funny at times. The previous secondary characters were back, and there were new ones like Molly’s brother Ben.
Overall A Few Little Scars was an enjoyable sexy, easy read. Looking forward to the next book in the series Better With Ben. And yes, that is Molly’s sexy tattoo brother. I think I’m going to like him.

Another light new adult romance. I didn't enjoy this one as well as I did the first one in the series. The heroine had a "boyfriend" throughout most of the book, although, she never slept with him and did break up with him before sleeping with Nick. However, it was a "one time thing" with Nick and the boyfriend wanted her back so she started seeing him again. But she never really liked him and it was a bit bothersome. I didn't dislike her but I wasn't a huge fan.
I wasn't blown away by the writing but it was much better than the cheesy book I read earlier this week.
The H/h didn't spend a great deal of time together and this story wasn't as sweet as the previous one. I will probably read the 3rd in the series when it is released. I know the heroine for that book but haven't figured out who will be the hero in that one. This heroine's brother or Cam, the lead singer of the band mentioned in the book, who is close friends with the hero of the previous story.

Nick does wonders for Molly's ego I mean the man knows how to make a woman feel special, "they're effin' hot." She laughed again. "Come on, don't tell me you don't know that. You can look in the mirror and see what they look like." He sends the most naughtiest of texts, "if I were there, I'd take hold of your round a** and pound you senseless." He's not a bashful person, "I was hoping you'd say that," he said. He slipped out of his boxers and leaned back on the couch again, this time with his piece on display for everyone who could see in the windows." I liked this book it was a fun read and Nick was quite the character.

I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.
Before reading this book I highly recommend reading the first book in the series because some things you won't understand and well you will ruin the ending of the first book!
So this one has a little love triangle thing going on between Molly; the small town girl with big plans to move to Nashville, Nick; the super rich and successful business dude (I can't remember exactly what he does) and Zeke; the lead singer in a rock band!!
Molly is one of Hannah's (from the first book) best friends from home. So of course we get some more into Hannah and Jason life together!!
At first Molly really has a difficult time visiting Hannah for fear that with the fancy new lifestyle her best friend might not be the same person anymore! Add that she will be in the same room as famous people and she is kind of freaking out! She quickly realizes that Hannah is still the same person she grew up with and relaxes a little with the knowledge that her friendship is still intact but is still pretty intimated to meet all the new people in Hannah's life.
Going out in Nashville and meeting all Hannah's new friends she quickly notices Nick; and after a steamy run in (which I will not ruin for you!!) she can't stop daydreaming about him! She just as quickly realizes that daydreaming is as far as anything will ever go because people like him just do not date people like her. So even with her strong attraction to Nick and the fact that they will run in the same group of friends she doesn't hesitate to jump into a relationship with Zeke! Because well he might not be as hot as Nick, he is the lead singer in a band and really who could blame her.
What I liked in this story was the decision Molly faces; does she go with what feels comfortable for her or take a giant chance on something that she just doesn't see working out?
So once again another steamy romance that will leave you wanting more!! I can't decide what I want for the next book in the series. At first I was thinking I really want a book with either Hannah's friend Taylor or famous country star Cam Bishop but now after meeting Molly's brother (Ben) I want to know his story also!! I am almost thinking a Cam, Taylor, Ben love triangle?!! But then who would I root for?! Ahh all the possibilities!! Can't wait for the next one!!

The second book in the, 'How to tame a Heartbreaker' series, this one is about Hannah's best friend, Molly. Molly is pretty spunky and I like the way she thinks. She moves to Nashville to be closer to Hannah, and to become a stylist. After meeting Nick, a good friend of Hannah's boyfriend, she finds herself unable to stop thinking about him but also slightly intimidated. His father is a popular singer and he hangs out with a lot of famous people. Hannah also warns her that, though very nice, he is a major player. Nick makes his attraction known and, though Molly likes sex, she's not sure she could handle being a one night stand, especially with a close friend's friend. At a bar one night, she meets Zeke, the lead singer of the band that's playing, and they get together. Unfortunately, Nick won't take no for an answer and Hannah finds herself in the middle of a love triangle. Green-eyed monsters and caveman antics ensue, and Hannah realizes that she has to give one of them up. A cute, sexy little read.

Did not read this series in order, I stared with the third book, Better with Ben.
There is a lot of telling me a story instead of letting me live it, so I can't give this one more then 2 stars. We find a 20, almost 21 year old young lady, Molly Fletcher who wants to become a hair and make-up lady for Nashville. Our hero, Nick is the son of country music legend, Leroy Logan. I grew up with lots of children of famous people, and that is one tough chip on their shoulders. So good for Nick Logan to have turned out amazingly good as a friend and as a financial worker.
But I had a difficult time caring for the people in the story, although Ben as cool and I liked his story Better with Ben much more with Taylor.

Enjoyed this one as much (almost) as the first one "You're Dangerous". The story continues with Hannah's best friend, Molly. She is moving to Nashville, as soon as she can. With high hopes and determination to rock Beauty School, Molly is inspiring. The romance has twists and turns and, many times, I wanted to reach in and shake her!! Makes me glad I'm not so young, anymore!! ;) Looking forward to the third one!

First off let me say that Casey you are killing me.
I loved this book because I loved Nick in the first book and it was good to see that he got his own book. I liked the fact that all the things that he say to Jason in the first book came back to bite him in the tail. Molly was an wonderful addition to the story and I loved the fact that she wasn't 100% perfect. I hated when the book ended because that meant that I have to wait until the next one.

I have read the second book and I love it! I likedcthat molly was so dimensional and had hoped that Nick would be more dimensional, but that is what makes this book so unique and no so much like the rest. I loved it! Now I wonder if the next book will be about Taylor being with Ben, or Cam. I hope to read #3soon!

Again, like the first book, I liked the first half better. Personally, I liked this installment better than the first one.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series but this one totally fell flat for me. Molly was blah and Nick Logan had no personality. And there was no major conflict. I kept waiting for something to happen but it never really did. The most exciting thing in the book was Molly's brother and his tattoo. Give him a book because at least he has a personality.

A Few Little Scars is the second book in the How to Tame a Heartbreaker series by Casey McMillin. This series by Casey has been fabulous so far. The storyline is solid with lots of twists and turns to keep you hooked from beginning to end. The characters have been well thought out and have amazing chemistry. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series!!
