ROPED IN brought the heat with two sexy cowboys and the boss's daughter enjoying a summer fling that quickly turns serious. Once again, Mandy Mackay has written a fantastic novella that focuses on the spice but still has plot, heart, and realness.

Marina is back from college and she can't resist getting involved with her sweet childhood best friend as well as his cocky coworker. Owen and Levi were a great match for Marina and all together they were so spicy. This was a bit more angsty than the previous book because Levi doesn't trust easily and Owen is all in his feels over secretly loving his best friend. But I liked the way they all communicated and expressed their wants and needs.

One thing I really appreciated about ROPED IN and the previous book, SNOWED IN, was the variety in the spicy scenes. It never felt repetitive or like it was the same typical positions you always see in why choose books. If you're looking for an extra spicy MMF then definitely check this one out.

Having grown up together, Marina and Owen are best friends, or at least they were before she went to university and he began to respond to her less and less. Home for the summer, she wants closure and to snuff out the torch she’s carried for Owen, unaware that he pulled back due to his own romantic feelings for her. Owen’s coworker Levi, with whom he has a very contentious relationship, takes an immediate interest in Marina, though he’s also harboring secret feelings for Owen. After Marina and Owen clear the air and she admits her attraction to Levi, the men agree to share her, though she’s certain the animosity between the two is due to unresolved feelings for each other. She’s determined that the two of them should be together and happy even if she can’t be with them, but they’re just as determined that she has to be. As summer winds down, what will autumn bring?

If there’s a formula for writing quality, blazing 🔥 hot MMF stories, Mandy Mackay has found it. I loved all three characters. Marina was headstrong and upfront about her feelings and I was rooting for her and the guys to have a future together. Owen was head over heels for Marina and loved her enough to let her go, and to sacrifice his dreams to help his mother. Levi was sexy and fun while also hiding a vulnerable heart. When they all embraced what they could be together, it was beautiful and sweet but also deliciously dirty 🔥🌶️ 🥵 and I loved every scene! Additionally, as I’m a big fan of the throuple and reverse harem tropes, I’m used to a fair amount of MM scenes, but I’m not used to them being done so well and finding them just as hot as the rest of the action — yet another reason to enjoy Mandy’s books.

Highly recommend.

Roped In follows three point of views: A young ranch hand, Owen, his childhood best friend turned crush turned into 'let's be our firsts before I go to college', Marina, and the new guy who's been around the farm only a year and been driving him nuts, Levi. Owen had let his feelings and his friendship with Marina stifle and almost burned out in the last two years she went to college because he felt she deserved better than him. She finally comes back to see if there's anything to salvage, and Levi's along for the ride.

What was interesting is that we start in Owen's POV which was refreshing, as usually the female main character tends to start and/or dominate the povs, but this stayed pretty equal with all three which was nice. The writing of the three characters were distinct, though there was some cringy descriptions in the first few chapters (honestly even as a bi woman myself, if never think about another's breasts pressed against me, nor do I ever think of anyone so hornily as a friend even if I've developed a crush on them).

And even though I do go into these short stories expecting to get into the smut rather quickly, sometimes it just seemed too easy with how Marissa fell both into lust & love with the new guy. But despite all that, it was a fun read, and I loved seeing the thoughts of all three characters and what they felt for each other. It was nice to not have the queer panic or the jealousy talk (after their confessions that is) and just figure out how to work this new and weird relationship out.

And the smut scenes were very nicely done, and hot, and far more varied than I usually see in MF or MFM books, though it is nice that in this one the men were actually bi for each other. I would've loved to have more scenes, or hints of what they'd done all summer but also understood the pacing toward the end to be able to tie it up nicely.

The cover is very nice (especially as it doesn't look AI generated) and even though it only has one man on it, still is rather eye catching, along with the font title. Sometimes we don't need to see all the protagonists on the cover, and I'd liked to think this is Levi roping the two silly childhood friends in, heh.

Well, Ms McKay, what an absolute treat of a novella Roped In is! Your writing style has the ease of a lazy Sunday afternoon, the clarity of a Rembrandt painting and the heat of a thousand desert suns. I am impressed! I kid you not! This is a cute, spicy, chemistry filled contemporary western story.

Marina returns home to her father's ranch after two years absence. Owen, her former best friend and lover, remains distant until his work colleague,Levi throws some sparks into an old fire. Eventually the three of them form a bond that no small town can break.

If you're into the why choose trope, with a lots of MFM, MMF and MM then this is for you! Highly recommend!.

well…😮‍💨…That was SPICY! 🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This story was short but so packed with perfectly spicy moments and a well thought out story it felt like a 400 page novel! I cannot recommend this book enough. It has everything multiple scenes with different perspectives and positions and possibilities. I mean if your going to write MMF Erotic Romance WHY on earth do people shy away from explicitly exploring all the different things and ways they can pleasure eachother! I love that this author wasn’t afraid to take us on a sexual adventure! An erotic journey. It was beautiful with lots of loving emotionally intelligent moments and it just STIMULATED the right parts of the brain. 😏 Marina would be proud of the A+ this book achieved! 😂

“… Instead, I’d rekindled it and lit up a new one.” When Marina shows up back home on her father’s ranch, she realizes it is now or never to explore the feelings she had for Owen, her childhood crush, all the more tantalizing when the other ranch hand Levi shows his interest as well - for both of them! This was a HFN novel, steamy, with a lot for the three to look forward to in the future (and an epilogue gives a great idea for those who want more of their story( (Also, I was kinda waiting for someone on the ranch to catch them out, but nothing happened…I guess there were not too many people on the cattle ranch)!?

Though, that weight seemed insignificant compared to the burden of the emotions that came with it. Emotions I feared were not nearly as temporary as they should be.'

I enjoyed this book. It was a fun steamy romance. I liked Owen, Levi, and Marina and the dynamic between them. Their chemistry sizzled. Owen and Marina had been friends; Owen and Levi are coworkers. Marina wants them both. 4 stars.

Loved this!

Mandy is a genius when it comes to writing MMF storylines. This is the third Mandy Mackay book I have read in the last few months and I have loved every single one of them.

Marina is a lovely FMC and Levi and Owens are *chefs kiss* MMC's.

This has plenty of very, very nice spice.

I cant wait for Mandy's next book.

This book definitely roped me in. It is a mmf with a bit of friends to lovers but also enemies to lovers.
It is quick, it is spicy and so delicious.
This is the first book I have read by the Author, but it will certainly not be the last.

The connection between Owen and Levi was intense but so good and then put Marina in the mix and it was perfection.

This is a short and extremely spicy book. So, if you have a problem with that, this book is not for you. Marina is home for the summer and reconnecting with her best friend and her secret crush, Owen. In the process, she also meets Levi, to whom she is equally attracted. This is a fun and spicy escape read. Just be ready to push the boundaries!

I quite enjoyed this all tho it has no storyline it was such it was a good read. It was very slow to start with but it does get so much more forward and spicy. So if u like books with just spice may like this I dnt really like MM but I'd say that there's very little MM aswell incase that puts u off

Very sexy and spicy. Be aware there is “sword” crossing, if that is not your thing this is not for you. There is a tad of a story about finding each other again with an added ingredient. It was much better than the last book.

i like the balance they all had for each other and i wish her dad was just like not involved at all! i know hes supposed to add to the personal parts of the story but i just felt his character added nothing
