Finding Love . . .

This story has lots of “feels” as we meet the primary characters. Logan is a man still in grief since he lost his true love Jeff in an accident 5 years previously. The holiday season is particularly painful for him. So he has once again returned to his isolated cabin to be alone and mourn the loss he still can’t get over. But this time, things will turn out quite different for him. He watches what he thinks is a shooting star and makes a quiet wish that this intense pain he feels will finally stop hurting.

Valen is an alien Nexan prince whose spaceship crashes in the woods near Logan’s cabin. When Valen is able to free himself from the crash, he is compelled to search out his mate and he locates Logan’s cabin. Since Valen’s natural form is not physical but instead a nebulous, swirling mass of azure energy that appears as an odd moving shape of brilliant light, he creates a body based on Logan’s thoughts, a man with tentacles Logan had read about in a story a few weeks ago! When a tentacle touched his cheek, he could feel what the alien was feeling! The emotions clearly expressed delight at finding him and his overwhelming need for him. And despite Logan’s surprise, he responds to the creature who has just found and is lovingly exploring his mate. Valen and Logan are perfect for each other, but Logan is unaware that their mate bond will be permanent.

With the arrival of Valen’s parents -- the King and Queen of Nexa -- there is much explaining to do since they had made arrangements to have their son mate someone else in order to gain a political advantage with another star system. How will they react to his having already mated a “nobody” from a primitive planet? Or will they try now to reverse what has occurred and follow through with the alliance with Prince Seren's family? They explain to Logan that Valen had been injected before being put into stasis so that he would fall in love with the first compatible being he saw when he woke. That person was not supposed to be Logan who now believes Valen’s love for him is merely a reaction to drugs and not his own choice. His parents urge that Valen can still have a diplomatic marriage to the Crystalline prince even without a “true bond”. But because his bond with Logan is the true bond, the only one that matters to Valen, he does not want to leave his mate. Despite everything, Logan seems determined to walk away. Is their time together over forever? Can Valen make him understand the truth of his love? Or will the King step in to make sure there is no “choice” left to make?

Ridiculous and ridiculously awesome. I reveled in this accidentally bonded mates story and wanted more. Surprisingly well developed for such a short tale, it delivered the feel-good fated soulmates-ish type of read I was in the mood for.

When an alien crash lands on Earth and meets the wrong person out in the woods, instant mate-bonding and wildest fantasies are delivered upon, tentacles and all. Human Logan is still grieving for the husband he lost years ago when the strangest glowing being lands on his doorstep, but when the desperately needy creature reveals itself in all its alien beauty and tentacles like something out of Logan's wildest romance-reading fantasies, he gives in to the dream and lets Valen sweep him off his feet and into bed with utter abandon and sensational passion.

Having crash landed and already being in the mating haze induced for his intended royal-political-alliance fiance on another planet, Valen doesn't realize he's connected to not the mate he was on his way to meet, but to a powerless lowly human who will bring no honor to his homeland and offers nothing but himself...whoops! Pesky mating pills....

It's a match made in nowhere but utter perfection, and seeing Valen go gaga over his unexpected treasure of a man is sublime and heartbreaking and joyful. Even better when Valen's royal parents arrive to fetch him and try to separate these two...! Yes, Valen rocks and protects his man in the best way. And gives him the support he needs to heal while honoring his late husband (but nothing annoying, promise) and to feel good about moving forward into a future with his new love.

It's a bit heartbreaking but also satisfying in the end.

HEA, sort of fated mates by accident, alien-human pairing. No cheating or any others in any way, entirely safe for me! No OM drama at all, just two souls lost and finding and healing each other in the woods. With tentacle love! Recommended.

My thanks to Booksprout and the author for the ARC; this is my delighted, free and impartial opinion.

Logan lost his one true love at Christmas five years ago, and he still hasn’t stopped grieving during the holidays. Every year he treks to his remote cabin to mourn in isolation. He is out walking through the woods when a shooting star becomes a crash, a silver pod obviously of alien origin. Logan can’t open it so he goes back to his cabin and ignores it until a radiant ball of light appears on his doorstep.
Valen was rattled by the crash and it was hours later before he got himself together and approached the cabin. Valen is under a drive to meet his mate and join. He sifts through Logan’s thoughts and reforms into a man he sees there, one with tentacles. Logan is stunned but when the being enters he immediately starts kissing and stroking Logan and it does not take much before they are in bed together, without explaining to Logan that their mating is permanent.
There are some ups and downs as they feel their way through the issues, but nothing can prepare Logan for the arrival of Valen’s parents on the third day. The King and Queen are certainly not happy that Prince Valen mated with a nobody from a non-spacefaring planet and ruined their arranged mating to a being from another star system. Always dealing out the royal children to secure alliances. A lot of issues have to be resolved but it is a Christmas novella so there’s an HEA. Plenty of tentacles and steam. Low to medium angst. It was a fun read

When grief-stricken Logan retreats to a remote cabin for a solitary Christmas, the last thing he expects is an alien pod crash landing in the nearby woods, or the alien prince who shows up at his doorstep. Valen, an energy-based being from a distant world, is determined to find his mate, and according to his biology, that mate is Logan. Logan may be surprised to find a tentacled alien on his doorstep, but things quickly heat up between eh two. Caught between heartbreak and an otherworldly bond he doesn’t fully understand, Logan resists the connection, even as Valen’s presence begins to thaw the ice around his heart. The initial connection is overwhelming for Logan, both physically and emotionally, as he struggles with grief, guilt, and the surreal intimacy he shares with Valen. Valen has to deal with the biological imperative of their bond, cultural differences, and his duty as a Nexan prince that brought him to Earth on a political mission. As tensions between duty and desire build, Logan and Valen have to navigate their differences and decide what they're willing to do for a future together. Hot and steamy alien-human, MM Christmastime romance, with plenty of tentacle action, exploring love, connection , grief, healing, transformation, strength, belonging, duty, commitment, sacrifice, and new beginnings.

'If this was madness, he didn’t want to be sane anymore.'

I absolutely loved this book! A crash-landed alien prince was such a fun twist to the usual forced proximity in a cabin in the snow trope. Good world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Logan and Valen. I was fascinated that Valen's initial body was formless of light and energy, rather than some form of already humanoid but alien, and shaped itself into form.

Logan was lonely after his partner's death five years earlier, and the emotions coming from Valen at their initial meeting resonated deeply with his own needs. Until the next morning when both had clearer heads. I loved their communication, both coming to terms with the situation. I don't want to say much because I was completely fascinated and loved learning more and more as I read. Logan was still battling his grief and how to handle his emotions. Valen was sweet and good-intentioned, but their different customs created some blunders. I like how things were worked through. This story was short, but also didn't feel short because of how rich it is.

I was still sad to finish it and will definitely be reading it again. I hope we get more of these characters! A beautiful Christmas romance of healing and love! 5 stars.

Logan & Valen
A surprisingly entertaining holiday novella about two beings who were not originally meant to be mated. It's not the first tentacle romance I've read, but each author brings their own spin to it, and I loved the idea of the alien shifting into a being with tentacles based on Logan's imagination/fantasies. I also loved that the tentacles were more than just a sensual appendage; Valen utilized his tentacles for regular use, as well as cuddling and physically supporting Logan when necessary.

The romance in this story was interesting, because while the initial moments between them seemed almost dubcon, a friendship and understanding developed between them during their time together that strengthened the feelings they began to have for one another. For such a short story, I was happy to see the conviction with which Valen fought for his and Logan's relationship. The highest angst moments in this story were not between the two MCs, but an outside element, and it was definitely a challenge to see that unfold. I appreciate the way the story concluded, and I loved the imaginative moment between Logan & Valen that would help them live far more normal (ish) lives.

I greatly enjoyed jumping into this little holiday moment in time in Snowed in: With the Alien Tentacle Monster. It was sweet, entertaining, while still containing that special element of spice so many people love.

I received an advance copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

This wasn't even remotely what I was expecting. It was far, far angstier and melancholy than I was prepared for as Logan worked through his grief, and while that's normally not my jam at all, I stuck with it because there was also way more heart than I would have guessed for a short with a cheesy title (and tentacles! 🤣)

I gave up on this author a while ago, but am so glad I've picked up some of her more recent books. I'm enjoying her newer stuff a lot, and the scene toward the end of this one, where they're working together to really touched me. It ended up being a very satisfying love story with some fantastic world building irt the aliens, and while an epilogue might have improved it even more, I'm really happy I spent some time with these two 🥰 (...and would definitely read more about aliens like Valen if the author ever wanted to expand the concept into a series!)

Christmas with tentacles.....

....What's not to love?
This is a short Christmas story about a grieving man and the alien who falls to earth on his secluded and snowy doorstep. It is heartwarming and very sweet, but with hot tentacle action too.
I loved Valen. He was such a wonderful creation, a being of light who crashed on earth and found what he didn't know he was looking for. He was gentle and kind, supportive and loving, and Silvana made his species fascinating and gave herself so much scope to create the perfect mate for Logan.
Logan was so sad, it hurt me to see him. Cocooned from the world, grief-stricken and alone by choice, but still very lonely even if he didn't realise it until the stranger literally landed at his feet. I was so happy they got their HEA, after a very scary moment and a bit of reinvention.

"Snowed In: With the Alien Tentacle Monster" by Silvana Falcon is a steamy and imaginative take on holiday romance. With its unique mix of sci-fi and erotica, it delivers a story packed with humor, tenderness, and a generous dose of spice. The author leans fully into the fantastical premise, creating moments of genuine connection alongside wild alien antics. However, the story’s explicit nature and somewhat whimsical approach to emotional depth may not appeal to everyone. For readers who enjoy unconventional romance with a heavy dose of heat, this book is a fun and unapologetic escape.

I really enjoyed this story. The connection between these two characters was truly amazing and I’m glad that they found each other. The family having an issue with their relationship wasn’t surprising at least not that much. I was glad that the Queen stepped in and forced the King to leave Valen’s mate alone. Logan is confused about the attraction between him and Valen and if it is real or made up, but Valen insists that it’s truly his heart’s desire to. I definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves mm alien romance stories.

Logan and Valen story was a hot, intense, emotional adventure between an alien and a human.
Their first encounter was explosive, their chemistry off the charts, but they had to work at communication, trust, and expressing their true feelings.
I adored their bonding time, their loving moments, but also the times they clarified things, they fought for them being together and have happiness.
I liked how they got over the obstacles along the way, how strong they become, and how their love prevailed.
I liked the read, and I wish to see more of the characters.

This was a great read!
I was able to finish this in one day.

I really enjoyed reading about how Logan and Valen were able to over Valens parents and princely responsibilities to find love and happiness together.

With Logan bent in isolation and Valens responsibilities, it looked like they had a lot of problems to overcome. The sexy times between them were very hot and filled with caring.

I would definitely recommend this book!!!.

"I enjoy learning your customs," Valen replied. "Though I must admit, I'm more fascinated by the way they make you smile than the customs themselves."

This was a cute and cozy winter read! I really enjoyed this quick read with a bit of world building about the alien world and a bit of spice. It was the perfect combination, and I loved seeing Logan learn to love again. I also loved Valen's curiosity to learn about the human world. It was kind of refreshing to see mundane things through his eyes. And who doesn't love tentacles hehe

It is always amazing to me how books in the same troupe can be so very different. The last snowed in a cabin is read was fun and fluffy and while this had some fun moments I would not call it fluffy, not that I expect fluffy from Silvana Falcon. Even though this is a novella, it still manages to have the darker, complexity that I love from Silvana Falcon, with a dose of hurt/comfort. Valen is a fascinating alien and his reasons for tentacles is perfect.

Tender and Tentacled
Logan is giving out in his cabin in the forest, just wanting to be alone at Christmas with his grief. But when Valen crash lands into his life, everything is set to change. This story was surprisingly tender - Valen and Logan work through some big emotions and relationship challenges. Plus, you know, tentacles… what’s not to like ;). I loved this book, more than I thought I would - a perfect bit of sci-fi holiday warm fuzzies.

I read some tentacle themed books previously and wasnt impressed! However Silvana gives us such an emotional, deep storyline that had me hooked! With plenty of tension as Valen is torn between duty and desire. Logan and Valen's journey as they learn to deal with their differences to enable a future together was so endearing. Plenty of hot and steamy tentacle action too!.

I enjoyed this one, despite my mood trying to tank that, and I was too invested in the outcome to not finish it.

The premise was very interesting and unique. Personally, I’m not sure I’d want anyone knowing my deepest secrets, desires, and thoughts 🫣 … but also… tentacles… 🤤 and who knows what else is possible…

I’d recommend if you like these tropes.

I expected this to be a short, smutty, fun romp with alien tentacles and being snowed in. Well...I was right on some of it? But there was an added angle of a grieving widower that I absolutely did *not* expect. I actually found myself in tears here and there, thinking of Logan's loneliness and despair. It does have an HEA but goodness it was much more angsty than I anticipated for such a short read!

Interesting short story that has both heat and some nice feels. I will admit to wanting more information about the alien's world and backstory but it was not necessary to enjoying the story as is with a bit of Christmas feels.

Silvana Falcon packed this short story chock full of passion, romance, plot, steam, and discovery. So imaginative and unique in some ways, yet still brought the cozy comfort and peace of a warm winter's night by the fire, with out OWN hot chocolate! These characters were so complex, so different, yet so likable & relatable, so endearing. This tentacled alien romance hits all the right notes.

While I'm sure there will be lots of people who will enjoy this book it was simply not my cup of tea. The summary and title sounded fun but during the first chapter I realised the tentacle part was just too weird for me.

This was a hot little fantasy novella. What more could I want? Remote snowy cabin, then throw in some surprise tentacles? But even though it was spicy novella I also appreciated that these two did have some things to overcome to actually have an HEA. Suspend belief and just enjoy!

This was a nice, short smutty story, but lacked the tension to be a great short read. There wasn't the emotional impact needed to really be invested in the characters. The tentacle scenes were definitely hot though (:.

Silvana Falcon told the best Christmas tale. Surprise, grit, sadness, acceptance, and, of course, tentacles. Truly in the Christmas spirit.

Very sweet, adorable

Went in expecting steam, and there's some, but it has far more heart. These two lonely souls find each other across the cosmos and are adorable.
