Fivra’s story hooked me immediately because her resilience is baked into every choice she makes. Born in a Terian penal colony and hardened by a lifetime of survival, she’s already used to living under the Axis’ shadow. When alien raiders abduct her and her friends and sell them at a galactic auction, the shift from bleak captivity to the glittering, dangerous world of Erovik feels jarring in the best way. I found myself reacting right along with her when she first steps into the brothel’s opulent halls. It’s such a sharp contrast to the penal colony that her instinctive distrust makes perfect sense.
Cyprian Dek’lak enters the story like a controlled storm. As the director of Erovik, he’s known for being untouchable and calculating, but the moment Fivra is brought into his orbit, that façade cracks. One of the first scenes that stood out to me is when Cyprian watches Fivra being processed after the auction. His reaction is subtle, but you can feel the dragon instincts stirring under his composure. Their connection builds quickly, especially once Fivra learns that the Axis plans to reclaim the stolen females. That threat becomes the backbone of the plot, pushing Cyprian into a conflict far bigger than his carefully curated world.
Highlights and Limitations
The strongest part of the book, for me, is how Fivra’s growth is tied to specific moments rather than broad statements. There’s a scene where she confronts Cyprian about her future in Erovik, refusing to be treated like a commodity. Her voice shakes, but she stands her ground, and that moment felt like the first real shift in their dynamic. Cyprian’s protectiveness also shows up in concrete ways. When the Axis makes its first move to seize her, he doesn’t hesitate. He steps between her and danger with a ferocity that feels earned rather than performative.
I also appreciated how the story ties Cyprian’s past into the present. When Fivra’s presence stirs old questions he’s buried for years, it adds emotional weight to his decisions. That said, I did wish the book lingered a little longer on those revelations. There’s a moment where Cyprian isolates himself after learning something about his origins, and I wanted more clarity about what he was feeling. It’s a powerful beat, but it passes quickly.
The main limitation of this book is that Cyprian manages brothels and deals in the traficking of unwilling females. I am definitely less likely to feel that a male like that is worthy of redemption even if most of the women chose to remain after they are let go.
Narration
John Masterson and Stephanie Rose bring a lot of texture to this audiobook. Masterson’s performance as Cyprian is deep and controlled, but he lets emotion slip through in small ways. I especially liked his delivery during the scene where Cyprian confronts the Axis envoy. His voice tightens just enough to show the strain under his calm exterior.
Stephanie Rose gives Fivra a grounded, determined tone that still softens in moments of vulnerability. Her narration during Fivra’s first night in Erovik stood out to me. She captures the mix of fear, exhaustion, and stubborn hope so well that I felt it in my chest. Together, their pacing works beautifully, especially in scenes where tension and intimacy overlap.

Overall, this audiobook delivers a satisfying blend of danger, romance, and character-driven tension. Fivra and Cyprian’s relationship grows through specific choices and confrontations, not shortcuts, and that made me care about them more than I expected. If I had one personal wish, it’s that Cyprian’s internal conflict had been explored just a bit more. But even with that, the story kept me listening straight through. It’s a great pick if you enjoy alien romances with high stakes, layered characters, and a heroine who earns every step of her strength.

Questo secondo capitolo si riconferma una lettura appassionante, cambia il background mentre allo stesso tempo comincia a formarsi un'alleanza tra i vari draghi e le nostre coppie protagoniste, unite da un nemico comune e da vincoli di amicizia e fratellanza. La dolce Fibra era stata rapita insieme alle altre donne, e si ritrova in un bordello gestito da Cyprian, un drago che gestisce con pugno di ferro in guanto di velluto le sue ragazze, assicurando a tutte protezione e sicurezza ma rimanendo nei rigidi confini del suo ruolo... finché una fanciulla terrorizzata dai capelli rosa irrompe nella sua vita ordinata scombinando tutti i suoi piani e aiutandolo ad aprire gli occhi su molte cose! L'autrice tratteggia sapientemente le regole del bordello, le rivalità e la solidarietà tra le ragazze che quasi loro malgrado diventeranno delle "mamme chioccia" con la piccola Fivra, capendo fin da subito quanto lei sia speciale per il loro capo e aiutandoli in ogni modo. This is the story of Fivra and Cyprian. While it's connected to the first book, you can totally enjoy it on its own. The author gives us a fresh take on the abduction of the Females in the first chapter, told from the perspective of our female main character (FMC).
I initially thought the story would unfold on the same planet in a different settlement, but it actually takes place on a distant space station. It seems the Axis has quite an expansive universe under its control, but just like in our own history, there are those who question the official narrative and believe in a different truth.
We get to watch the FMC blossom with the support of the male main character (MMC). Their connection is instantly palpable, particularly on the MMC’s part. This bond led him to a different path that revealed his past and the truth of his existence.
There's an intriguing mystery surrounding all the characters, and the author reveals the secrets gradually as she tells the story of each couple. My fingers are itching for the next book and to read the story of the next couple.

Both MCs start out with certain beliefs about themselves that fall apart rather quickly.
The MFC,
“Perhaps it was time to see herself as something other than a Terian female whose only purpose was work and breeding.”
And the MMC (this is actually a description from the previous MMC but it fits),
“I’d wake knowing only what they wanted me to know. Believing their lies about loyalty, purpose, and obligation.”
It makes sense that the characters are seemingly programmed in the beginning because they kind of are - by Axis, a giant corporation. Honestly, this part of the world feels a little too much like 2026 RL in end stage capitalism.
I'd like to see the spicy scenes be a little more spicy and at the same time build their relationship more - develop their trust in each other.

Cyprian finds himself immediately drawn to Fivra. He intends to have her trained and working despite his attraction. He becomes possessive as time goes on and eventually determines that no other male will touch her.
A rumor that the Axis are retrieving the Terian women sends him into a panic as he cannot lose Fivra. He calls in a favor to help them escape. Axis ships pursue them and they are eventually cornered on a moon in the midst of asteroids. A mysterious ship comes to the rescue which turns out to be Ellion and Turi from the first book. Cyprian and Ellion agree to unite in the search for their missing brethren.

Whew! Ella Blake’s Chosen by the Dragon Alien is fantastic! Fivra is an unknowing prisoner on her prison planet. One day she and her friends are abducted by rogue aliens and sold at auction. She winds up on a space station at a brothel. Brothel Director Cyprian realizes she is not the right fit there but knows the Axis wants the huge amount of credits they paid for her. He is of the same species as the Overseer on her old planet but he’d always thought he was the only one of his kind! What other secrets has the Axis been hiding? He and Fivra escape the station only to be followed by the Axis as he’s been chipped. Just as the fight between Cyprian’s dragon and the Axis looks bleak, help comes to save the day! What a great series!

Another great couple, Fivra and Cyprian. Fivra is one of the female Terians taken as payment from the penal colony by the evil Axis and sold at auction. She’s sold to a brothel lead by a new dragon shifter Cyprian. The secrets of these 2 races and how they were enslaved by the Axis are slowly coming forth when both Fivra and Cyprian have to escape for their lives. After the penal colony revolt in the first book, the Axis knows they made a mistake by taking the 5 female Terians and sending them out to possibly meet their fated dragon mates, upending their control that has lasted for centuries. Great storyline and premise with the addition of secrets, intrigue, a puzzle to solve, family and friends to rescue, and a future to discover. On to book 3.

O.M.G this book is so good! Fivra is taken from her home world to be sold at auction to pay off a debt. She ends up at a brothel run by Cyprian, a Zaruxian, who is the Director. From the moment he lays on her he is lost. But the Axis has plans and the won't let anything stand in their way. Chosen by the Dragon Alien has it all. Romance, steam, adventure and lots of action! There's a battle in space and even a scoundrel! I loved it! I cannot wait for the next book! If it has Ella Blake on the cover I am reading it! She is a 1-click, no questions asked author for me! 5 stars

A very close call
Fivra really lucks out in getting sent to Cyprian's station. Living in basic luxury even on a brothel station is better than the planet she came from. Finding another Zaruxian is even better. Their path is much like his brother's, but it's great when they finally meet. Love this series!

Amazing and well written story. Fivra born in a penal colony controlled by Axis. Aliens abduct her and she is sold as a concubine on planet Erovik. cyprian the director is to train her but falls madly in love with her. There is plenty of action. Recommend reading this series. Wow

I really am enjoying this series. The characters are interesting and well developed. It is great seeing the dragons and their mates overcome major obstacles and find their strength. Can’t wait to read book 3.
