Good mourning, beasties. My page has been feeling a bit dour recently, so I’d like to switch it up a bit and praise one of Monster High’s brightest ghouls. Ghoulia Yelps is simply a cut above the rest. All the whole brain bread she eats must go straight to her head because she’s the only ghoul who can ace even Mr. Rotter’s hardest tests. And while she’s slowly lumbering through the hallways long after everyone else has made it to class, Ghoulia sees things that the rest of us are too busy to notice. Like Cleo de Nile crying in a bathroom stall, and Clawdeen jumping anytime a ghoul mentions Toralei’s name. Maybe she knows what has happened to all the missing students? If you ask me, Ghoulia Yelps would make an excellent Crier. --XOXO CryptCrier
As a woman who suffers from depression and social anxiety, I’ve made it my mission to candidly share my experiences with the hopes of helping others dealing with the same. This extends into my fiction work, where I pen tales about woeful women trying their best, with a surrealist, magical touch. Inspired by surrealist authors like Haruki Murakami, Sayaka Murata, and Lemony Snicket, my stories are dark and humorous with a hint…well, a bunch…of absurdity.
Oh my gosh! This one just flew by before I knew it. It was all about Ghoulia (my favourite zombie) with a dash of Cleo and Clawdeen and what she discovers and how she tries to help her friends. But how it ended OMG! We see what Draculaura is doing to protect the school which shocked and explains why she is so tired. I need the next volume!
The plot’s finally getting moving. I really liked that this issue focused on Ghoulia, as she’s always been one of my top favorite Monster High characters and kind of overlooked in favor of the other main characters.
Love seeing Ghoulia take the spotlight, but this issue is really just a rehashing of things we already know from the previous comics in this series and the Halloween issue.
My overall review for this series is that it was really good. Had a good story line and some in between plots that were good but didn't take away from the main story too much. The artwork was fantastic and honestly made or broke some of the other comics I've read, I'm glad this artist did it justice. Also can we talk about the first 4 books with Cover A being connected!!
