Benjamin Granger, a middle-aged man of false pride and little conscience, courted violence as if entitled to it. His young protégé, Joey Russo, was a man of youthful optimism and naiveté. They made an unlikely pair until the day Ben took leave of his senses. Georgene Weiner was born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Boston University and taught Spanish in Boston area schools. In addition to her five novels, Ms. Weiner has authored poetry and short stories. She is a devote of classical music. She lives with her husband Allen near Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
