As Babylon Turns..

Contains spoilers.

This chapter of Pam had so many twists and turns within the family. Relationships are complicated, and become more complicated.

Lisa is grown up and is becoming her mother... but stronger in a way Pam wasn't as a young wife and mother.

Sandra's life is full of turmoil as are the remnants of Ashton's family.

And as for Pam... just when you think things might be falling into place...

I've read all the Pam of Babylon books and they just keep getting better and better. Suzanne Jenkins has another winner with this one.

Pam was married to Jack who was having affairs with everyone, everywhere and not only with women. Pam was in Babylon and didn't have a clue that he was such a jerk until he had a heart attack and died. Then all the ugly truths started coming out. Including her own sister...

How could he have done all of this and her not have a clue. I wonder if she didn't deep down somewhere have to have a clue that something was not right. But it does not seem like it.

In this book her daughter has married Pam's ex and they have a son together. Her friend, Sandra, who if it was me I would and could never be friends with as she was the last one that Jack was having an affair with and possibly considering leaving Pam for, has a baby by Pam's son who was killed in the previous book, "Pam of Thao". She finds out who she thought was her best friend, Jeff, betrayed her confidence with the guy she is now seeing and may possibly marry. Oh yeah, Jack gave everyone AIDS including his wonderful wife Pam. Told he was a jerk.

There is so much going on in this book that I would have to give away something so I best just say that I loved this book so much. Pam was a bit bitchy in parts of this book but in some cases I could not blame her. But she can't be angry with her daughter for marrying Dan since she did break up with him and they seem happy now. You just can't be mean to your daughter over an ex boyfriend. But they are not as perfect as they try to appear either. Dan is going to have a baby by an old girlfriend who he has an affair with behind Lisa's back the day after she gives birth to his son. Another jerk? Of course.

This story has many twists and turns and a few surprises thrown in that keep it a page turner. I actually came to the end before I realized I was that close. It just flew by and flowed beautifully. I love the series and can't wait for the next book in this series. It is really good. Filled with lies, betrayals, affairs, innocent children in the middle of break ups and Pam's house on the beach where everyone seems to always want to be, while they still betray her. I'd have to tell them all to get lost and never come back.

This is the best of the Pam of Babylon books yet and I know the next one will be even better. To thoroughly enjoy these books you do have to read them in order and it is the first long series that I have really loved.

I had to give this a 5 star rating because I think it deserved it. No big mistakes to take away from the story. Great story line and it just read beautifully so you could keep up with what everyone was doing to each other. I loved it.

Have always wondered how Pam survives all that life has given her, and probably one of the worst was at the end of the last book. Loosing a child had to have been a give up moment.
We are back, and I love it, in Babylon with Pam, and I can almost smell the salt air here, looking out at the ocean, and seeing the sand bar. Pretty descriptive part of this book is about this, and it sure must be some sandbar. Feel one of Pam’s downfalls is her kind heart, she shoulders the pain for so many, and then the ones she loves and trust seem to betray her.
We have, or I felt a bit of an ending or finalizing of this series here, but then, I want more. There are additions to the family in this book, and find Pam turning for help to the most unusual people. There is also a bit of romance, and I so felt Pam deserves all the happiness she can find, she has had so many people that I felt loved her, but on second look, no!
Be ready for more of Sandra, will she finally find some happiness? How about Lisa and now her Dan? The old ladies are a hoot, and would love to be a fly on the wall around them. Love how Pam embraces them, and has now brought them home.
I for one am ready for some more of this series, I have to know how this all turns out, and I so enjoyed this read!

I received this book from the author, and was not required to give a positive review.

Suzanne Jenkins has done it again with book 7 of this amazing series. What I love about every book in this series is, the story just wows you. You can't stop wanting to know what is going to happen next with Pam Smith. Ever since her husband died her life has been one huge drama after another yet Pam still holds it all together.

In this latest book Pam's ex-boyfriend a real clown Dan Chua is now married to her daughter Lisa with a baby on the way. As a matter a fact it's baby season in Babylon as Sandra (Jack's Smith's mistress has given birth to Brent Smith (Jack and Pam's son). Once an old love interest of Dan Chua's discovers he has become a father, she will stop at nothing to get her claws and nose in Dan and Lisa's business.

Move over Jackie Collins and make way for the women of Babylon! I'm praying there is a book 8 soon!

Lisa’s husband Ed dies from a brain tumor…Lisa has a new lover. Her brother, Brent, gets killed the next day. Dan to the rescue for poor Lisa.

And the drama continues…

Sandra…That’s Why the Lady is A Tramp. ‘Nuf said.

Nelda & Bernice…That’s What Friends Are For. Two cool old chicks.

Jeff, Pam’s best friend, & Ted, Ashton’s hubby, find each other.

Dan has an itch that his wife can’t scratch. Hmm…

Enter Jason, Jeff’s brother-in-law, who has eyes for only Pam…or does he?

If Pam, had any sense, she would sell that beach house and run for the hills.
