Revealing Light: How Cancer Illuminated My Divine Blueprint

Rate this book
A spiritual odyssey, Revealing How Cancer Illuminated My Divine Blueprint tells the story of its author’s psychological and spiritual evolution, from confronting her mortality with a deadly illness to creating a community of like-minded people. In 2015, amid a successful career, wife and mother Maryann Weston was diagnosed with cancer. Engulfed first in waves of fear, she didn’t want to die and leave her family. A million questions and reasons to fight flooded her mind. Confronted by death, she felt inadequate and small. If only she had known then how supremely and divinely Spirit would soon walk beside her, onto cancer’s battlefield... Her fear and doubt suddenly began to lift when she started reconnecting with her childhood clairvoyance, studying mediumship and astrology, drawing from her strong calling to discuss her healing and the psychic abilities she had suppressed since childhood. This book is about the gifts received through adversity, about learning in the fiery waters of a spiritual baptism that many cancer warriors experience and how crisis can shatter existence to reveal divine purpose in life - a blueprint we agreed to before we were born.

I'm a writer of fiction, and of poetry. Like all writers I love to observe life, and people and happenings. It's in the less obvious that I find inspiration...what's not said, what is felt but not expressed and the invisible, universal truths that reside in us all. I write across genres - contemporary 'life' fiction, horror/paranormal and adventure/fantasy for young adults. Through imagination, logic and analysis, life's experiences, observation and listening, I hope to create the stories you, the reader, will enjoy. And perhaps a tiny part of you will say to yourself as you read: "I've been there too."

Aside from my books, I'm a public relations professional, an editor and journalist, with a long history of successful and award winning work. I'm results oriented and know that words impact the way we see our world. With words we can change the negative to the positive; the mundane to the interesting, capture attention and create passion. Pretty awesome eh?

Maryann Weston is a woman who has achieved much in her life journey, initially as a Journalist, Editor, Public Servant amongst her many achievements and is now a Spiritual Counsellor, something she never envisaged becoming.
Revealing Light was begun after she received a devastating cancer diagnosis. Having lost her mother and father to cancer and supported her older sister Jayne through her battle with cancer, she was no stranger to this devastating invasion of her body.
She was well aware of the survival rates, treatment and the effect it would have on her young family and wider group of friends and associates. Wanting to be more than Maryann with cancer she only let her family and a few close friends know, and then set out to discover, research and prepare herself for a serious battle, she was convinced she would win.
The first section of the book is her very personal story about the road she was forced to walk through the world of Chemotherapy, depression and grief. She was also beginning during this traumatic time, to return to a spiritual pathway she was aware of but never really investigated.
As her treatment wore endlessly onward her beloved sister and support Jayne was losing her battle with cancer, which encouraged her to step further into the realm of Spiritually; to develop the gifts she had been given to help others, not just in the field of Cancer but in many other walks of life.
A gift for channelling has seen her channel such as Dr Sigmund Freud on childhood patterns, Nostradamus on herbal healing and Robin William who talks about Mental Health.
In a beautiful conclusion to Maryann’s story to date, she offers the insight received on one of her trips to Canberra many years ago, as she passed Lake George. She was visited by an aboriginal elder who passed on some inherent wisdom as to her life journey.
Revealing Light is a book filed with knowledge, hope, despair, love, hard earned understanding and acceptance, and is the life anyone diagnosed, managing or supporting someone with Cancer has to live on a daily basis. It is a book that should be read by anyone embarking on this journey as she tells it like it is; real and challenging.

Comforting and insightful

A book of comfort with many spiritual confirmations I
always had about beyond this life. It's wonderfully written an easy read , never a slowing down spot. Confirmed what I thought about spirit guides we have. I plan on reading this several times again

This book, and Maryann Weston, is such an inspiration to me. Such strength and optimism, even if she had to manufacture it at times. I suspect we all do that, if we’re living with autoimmunity issues. Thanks to her for sharing this with all of us.
