what's the point of rhianna getting shit on all the time if nothing's going to come of it???? no MMCs feeling bad or defending her, no breakdowns, no revenge???

I liked this book a lot more than the previous book in the series! There was some solid plot progression (finally) and good romantic progression with Azlan, Stone, and Tristan. I need more Spencer and Renzo in the next book. Somehow I think Spencer and Renzo will be my favorites. This book had the best cliffhanger so far in the series - I really want to know what happens next!

En esta tercera entrega, Hannah nos sumerge de lleno en la resolución de ese misterioso pasado que ha estado persiguiendo a la protagonista. La trama se vuelve una red asfixiante de secretos y mentiras donde nada es lo que parece y cada descubrimiento duele más que el anterior.
Rhi está en un punto de ruptura. Me encantó su actitud desafiante ante el "destino". Después de todo el daño y las humillaciones que ha sufrido, su mantra de "no olvido ni perdono" le da una fuerza increíble. El plan era claro: cerrar su corazón y no ceder ante los hombres que el destino le asignó, hasta que la vida de todos se pone en peligro y las prioridades cambian drásticamente.
Verla pasar de la vulnerabilidad a una postura de "no voy a ceder por mucho que me lo rueguen" es súper satisfactorio. Esa chispa de amor propio es lo que necesitaba la serie.
La tensión con los chicos y la química es de otro planeta. Me encantó cómo la autora maneja el conflicto entre el deseo y el resentimiento. Esos momentos en los que ellos tienen que rogar y demostrar que realmente han cambiado son, sinceramente, mis favoritos.
Además del romance; el peligro real y los giros en la investigación sobre su pasado mantienen pegada a las páginas. El ritmo no decae en ningún momento.

Annnnd I'm done.
I enjoyed reading book 1 and 2 this addition however not so much. The heroines character is stagnant, painfully so. She is not excelling at anything yet we keep being told she's powerful. The backbone she won't grow to tell her mates not to call her pig girl....I found myself going through the motions and eventually just skipping pages to get to the end. To put it simply, I was bored.
Perhaps if it wasn't so obvious to us the reader, to Rihanna, who her mates were it would be more interesting. All her mates have the same rinse and repeat story "I hate him but I'm drawn to him and oh no, no one can know" Fine for the first mate, okay for the second, tedious for the third and flat out boring for four and five.
I found it strange that although Azlan has loads of money he decided what she really needed was a box full of knickers not a pair of shoes without holes in them. Maybe I've read too many books about mates and can't help but compare but come on... At least Tristan had the sense to feed her properly. Thinking about it, I suppose what bothered me about the series is that sex doesn't equal love. The romance is brushed under the rug called mate.
The cliff hanger there sealed the deal for me, I simply cannot read anymore. I've seen how many more books come next in the series and if we go by the pace of the first 3 books, excitement is definitely not what I feel.

Holy fucking shit. This book was an epic ride of heartbreak, lust, discovery, magic and tension. The ending 😱😱😱😱! I need book 4 NOW! This series is one of my absolute all time fave series I've ever read and it does not get enough hype! It has everything you could ever want in a romantasy Why Choose:
-Strong, bad ass FMC
-Brooding, obsessive, possessive MMC's
-animal side kick (he's a 🐖♥️♥️)
-bestie girl power
-fated mates
-a mystery and unknown enemy
-a cool magic system and a prophecy
-angst, tension, spice, and a damn incredible plot
I eat these books up. Every single one has been 5⭐ for me and Shattered Stars is no exception. My only complaint is that I devour them in or two sittings and then I have to wait for the next book 😋 Shattered Stars is book 3 and if you haven't started this series then I suggest you rectify that RIGHT NOW!

Honestly? This book was weird. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with so much potential and so little following through.
It frustrated the hell out of me how this author knows how to build tension, but lets it fizzle out every fucking time. It’s like hearing the creepy horror music, knowing something’s going to happen, and then… nothing. Music cuts out, character walks on stage with just a glass of water in hand, sits down and gets lost in thought.
It was also very frustrating that, apart from losing all these potentially good scenes, there’s enough new info and developments, character-depth (little but still interesting enough) and plot development, to want to read more; not wanting to skip in case you miss something worthy and not wanting to dnf because the characters are interesting enough to want to know more.
Many reviews tell it gets better in the last chapters but honestly, that were the weirdest chapters of this book.
SPOILERS from here on out.
Why, when there’s an attack, would you LEAVE YOUR FATED MATE?!?! I get that you would fight to protect, but they’re literally all standing around her in de Great Hall when it’s attacked. And instead of someone protecting her, Winnie is the one needing to talk sense into her because she’s acting like a dumb ignorant bitch, blabbing about ‘but we should be save’, like WOMAN, OPEN YOUR GODDAMN EYES! After everything she endured with her aunt, needing to survive on a moments notice etc, this was really out of character.
Skip, she races towards her fated mates but sees Summer in trouble. Good for Rhi to do the right thing! But ALL THE FUCKING DELAY! It almost made me lose interest for reading till the end.
Skip: she and Tristan are rocking. Great! Then he protects her and taking the fall and … she runs to her pig? What. The. Everloving. Hell? I get she’s overwhelmed by pain, but wtf? What the actual fuck? I’m not sure how I can rage more about this. Wth?
This whole book was a way of feeding information, developing and plot without actually making it interesting by including little ‘conflict’ between characters.
The last chapters were a very weird way of writing to further the plot. Imo, a story has to still make sense when a scene is being used as a way to further the plot. It has to at least feel a little believable (even within the fantasy-genre) to make development feel natural. This all felt so staged/set up. I literally cannot understand the choices this author made while writing these last chapters. It might help the next plotlines, give her more food for more scenes and angst etc, but it really missed the spot of being believable for me.
With having read some reviews of the next book and knowing even that isnt really that great and neither the last, i’m actually wondering if it’s worth reading anymore.
There was a lot of repetition and inner dialogue that didn’t have any meaning on top of it all, and I’m not a big fan of authors drawing out stories like this.

Ahh I love this series so much! ✨✨
This book was definitely a set up for the next one (Burdened Bonds) but it didn’t give “filler book” vibes at all. I think this was largely due to getting to see Rhi develop her bond with Stone and Azlan. I also enjoyed learning more about Tristan, Spencer, and Renzo and their connection with Rhi. Can’t wait to see those relationships progress in the next book!
Also that cliffhanger……. 😩

ngl book 3 was SUPER close to a dnf. midway thru theirs a scene with the mmc and he starts whining. it gave me the ick so intensely i almost dnfd it. but the plot has me in a vicegrip i pushed past. BUT BARELY.
this is why choose bully romances are the perfect balance of smut to plot.

My favorite part about this series are the characters. From our fearless MC to all her men and of course the best side kick Pip!
I enjoyed watching her navigate the connections with each of her guys and the insights we gain from their multiple POVs.
Obviously I want all the answers but I’m most interested in seeing how the connection with Renzo plays out. Love a good psycho they keep you on your toes.
Ugh that cliffhanger – it's the kind that leaves you with a sense of anticipation and I definitely need book four ASAP!

I have found recently, that many authors are trying to stretch stories for the sheer purpose of making more books. The problem with this is, they never actually fill the current book with substantial story. This book was the epitome of fluff, with hardly any legitimate plot. The bones are good and the end game can be great but I just wish the author would take more time, and maybe even less books to have a more complete story. I don’t need a dang cliff hanger every book I read, especially when there was barely anything of value to begin with.

This book finally gave us the action we needed especially towards the end and now we are left on a cliffhanger and I need the next book straight away!
Everything about this story is slow burn. The bonds, the unravelling of the plot, the many secrets still being kept. And although at times frustrating because we are always in a hurry to figure things out and get things moving along, I kind of like the tension. It keeps you wanting more and it’s the vibes I’m looking for especially with a RH. The fated mates are al drool worthy and our FMC is remarkably strong willed and not annoying…love it!

I acc really really liked this book, it’s turning out much more different than most RHs has the same premise but it’s set up really well. There’s also family drama that isn’t explored yet and I like the whole war thing that’s different in the sense that one of the families isn’t involved. I love the character development and it isn’t an overnight change, and I like that Rhi can think independently from her lust which isn’t really done in RHs and it rlly annoys me like what do u mean u forgive a bully because you’re attracted to him.

I love this world, I love these characters, and I love this Author so much!!!
I can't describe how badly I want to keep reading these books forever. I want some conclusion, but I also never want it to end.
And Dragons?!?! This just upped the stakes and the power!!!
Summary, so I'm ready for the next book, whenever that comes out:
-Spencer was on the front lines, and FMC saw him change to the werebeast during the fight.
-Tristan is working on it. They combined their magic, and he took a deadly blow, but he's still alive
-Azlan is awesome, bought her clothes, knows Spencer might be fated, and they are definitely going after her
-Stone stepped up the support and smexy times. Taught her magic control and knows about Tristan as her Fated.
-Renzo killed Marcus when he broke her fingers in the fight (but there was no body guarantee I don't trust he's dead). He grabbed her and Pip and transported them to her old house. He would do anything for her.
-Blackwaters knows about Spencer, she's broken from Tristan, she still doesn't have her cloaking necklace, she had visions of the fires and battle with the dragons. She might be the risen Queen lady with 5 mates. The Hunter, the Beast, the monk, the scholar, and the Prince? Or something like that. Super powerful. The Chancellor is scheming for her to have visions, and finally I love this series and have no idea what's about to happen.

I can't describe how badly I want to keep reading these books forever. I want some conclusion, but I also never want it to end.
And Dragons?!?! This just upped the stakes and the power!!!
Summary, so I'm ready for the next book, whenever that comes out:
-Spencer was on the front lines, and FMC saw him change to the werebeast during the fight.
-Tristan is working on it. They combined their magic, and he took a deadly blow, but he's still alive
-Azlan is awesome, bought her clothes, knows Spencer might be fated, and they are definitely going after her
-Stone stepped up the support and smexy times. Taught her magic control and knows about Tristan as her Fated.
-Renzo killed Marcus when he broke her fingers in the fight (but there was no body guarantee I don't trust he's dead). He grabbed her and Pip and transported them to her old house. He would do anything for her.
-Blackwaters knows about Spencer, she's broken from Tristan, she still doesn't have her cloaking necklace, she had visions of the fires and battle with the dragons. She might be the risen Queen lady with 5 mates. The Hunter, the Beast, the monk, the scholar, and the Prince? Or something like that. Super powerful. The Chancellor is scheming for her to have visions, and finally I love this series and have no idea what's about to happen.

legitimately, don't know if I can read the next book because this one was so disappointing
disappointed in this book I feel like the author could've done better with the characters. I understand that the protagonist is in somewhat a school setting probably college, even though I feel like the behavior is more like middle school high school, but then you have two grown men who are her fated mates. It all of it just felt messy. I didn't even want her to win anymore because she just couldn't get her stuff together and then you want complicated matters by making this a reverse harem so you have now five men in the mix. Yeah I just don't know.
Sorry if this was not the best review but honestly, there was just so much teenage drama that it was really hard for me to care about her. She was annoying in this book.

Wow. The plot has thickened. Not just the ending, but the entire book. But that ending??? The people from the west attacking the academy? Dragons? Spencer’s shifting into his werebeast form and hanging off a dragon's tail (that was just cool)?? Tristian being blasted and is nearly dying?!?! It was a whirlwind. But at least Rhianna is finally with Renzo, but we need Tristian to heal so she can breathe. But I’m seriously hoping we’ll get more Renzo content because I love that crazy man. On a better note, before all that drama went down, can we talk about Tristian doing a complete 180?? Like out of nowhere, he decided he would stop fighting their bond, even though he still called her pig girl 😑 but changed the nickname to piglet 🥺. But he started escorting her to all of her classes, made sure she got a nice, full breakfast, asked her to the ball PUBLICLY, and bought her multiple vintage dresses for said ball!! And that’s not even including that scene when Tristian goes invisible in class and starts doing stuff with Rhianna IN CLASS 🥵🥵. It. Was. Hot. But speaking of hot, Rhianna was being a bad bitch and she chained up stone naked—just like he did to her in the motel—got herself off not even letting him watch and left him chained and naked 😳🤭. And then sweet Azlan, felt bad for not giving her any gifts for being his mate and he got her a whole bunch of new designer clothes, bras, panties, and he wrote her the sweetest note ever 😭. Which was courtesy of his sister teasing/reminding him about it, and we also got a nice scene of Ellie and Rhi bonding👏👏. Plus, we got another hint of Rhianna and her men being fated mates in the past and being reincarnated…😳 But y’all, I can’t believe Spencer left school early and enlisted himself to the front lines early?? All because he didn’t trust his werebeast around Rhianna and he wanted to keep her safe 🥺. Now, seriously I need everything to end on a good note in this next book because I don’t want a cliffhanger and then having to wait until October to get answers 😭. And on a side note, I love Pip, his personality, and how communicative he is, like the little pig recognized that Renzo didn’t want to hurt her anymore and helped him get Rhianna to him!! Like hello?? He is so smart. So literally every book I’m wishing that he remains harm free. Also, Winnie is such an amazing person and friend to Rhianna and she deserves all the attention and happiness. So I’m always sad for her when Rhianna keeps things from her, but it’s never coming from a bad place, so I, 100% want no more fighting between them.
