This book was such a fun an quick read! It's fast paced, filled with spice and though (sadly) a short book, filled with a good background and storyline.
Asha and Thanatos were just fire together, the instant attention they had for each other, the lust, the funny banter. I just loved reading about these two! Brianna did such an amazing job putting them on page and with the whole story around them. Like I said the story isn't that long (199 pages) but though short, it was a complete story for Asha and Thanatos, would I loved more? Sure! I can read a full length novel about them and have fun while reading.
I really enjoyed this intake about the Four Horsemen and everything with the angels and demons. I can't wait to read about the other three Horsemen!

I loved this book! The chemistry between Than and Asha was undeniable. I lived the humor, banter, action, and well written spicy scenes. I can't wait to read the next in the series!

This was GOOD! I've read a few "horsemen/ apocalypse" books but this was a fresh take.
THOUGHTS:
- I really liked Ash's character, she's sweet, funny and actually has a backbone. She could stand up for herself but also let Death take care of her. She's got funny wisecracks and realistic reactions to what's happening around her.
- Thanatos was good too! dark, protective, sexy and commanding. I love a good unhinged male lead who cares about consent.
- the story was pretty interesting! I liked all the side characters, Ash's friend Emily was hilarious and a breath of fresh air and I hope we get to see more of her. Pestilence, was interesting as well and I wonder if Emily has soul?
- the smut was hot, but personally I wanted a bit more length and detail (but maybe that's just me being a degenerate lol). we're told about his huge, pierced D but I wanted to actually *feel* that in the writing, you know?
- one thing that did kind of stump me was how fast death falls for her and how Ash's mental health struggles from the beginning of the book disappear. At the beginning she's barely sleeping, yelling in the middle of the night etc. she then gets attacked and almost violated and she's just .... fine? afterwards. I thought maybe it could be shock but she's super well adjusted for someone with a traumatic past that's hinted at and all the stuff she goes through. For Death, we see him get intrigued by her and then BOOM, he's obsessed. I would have liked to see a bit more bonding and why he's into her.

Fresh take on the horsemen of the apocalypse
A fresh and spicy take on the horsemen! Asha is a spitfire, I found her character relatable and engaging. Thanatos *drool* will be your next book boyfriend for sure ;)

I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions, i love when a book draws me in emotionally! Im invested and ready to ride at dawn!
Brianna West is a paranormal romance goddess and always brings the plot and the spice in equal measure. You cant go wrong ... you are bound to love it!

Fun start to a new series! Asha is the “counter soul” to one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Thanatos is Death and all he needs is Asha’s soul to bring on the apocalypse. Just one little problem; Death has been stalking Asha for months and is a little intrigued and a whole lot of possessive.

If you hate having to read 400 pages before you get to the good stuff, this ones for you! A quick, steamy action packed paranormal fantasy.
I LOVE how bad ass Asha is, but how she totally swoons for Than, can't wait to find out what happens next!

New favorite shadow daddy, love the tongue-in-cheek of it all. I like that at one point she has between her legs....
It also made me giggle and kick my feet in the air like a teen.

This was an interesting one! I've read a few four horsemen/apocalypse books, and I love that while each one has some similarities (naturally) they each have a unique way of telling the story.
Asha and Than's relationship was quick and steamy. She predicted what meeting him would mean for her, for her life, but he truly didn't want it to happen. She very quickly became more to him than a soul to collect.
I liked this! I'd love to read more.

I’m a sucker for some good word play… along with other types of play and this book has both in spades!

Overall this was a spicy, fast paced, enjoyable read that I couldn’t put down!
I started following Brianna West after receiving an ARC book for Fated for Darkness last year and LOVED that book so much now I keep an eye out for any upcoming books of hers… I am pleased to say I have enjoyed every book since then including this one (obviously).
