No phones beyond the black curtain. What you see is what you get. What happens in the club stays in the club. When you arrive, choose your destiny.
I only wanted a few hours to blow off steam before dinner with my family. A night at Destiny, our adult entertainment lounge, was my escape. Everything was running smoothly—until I saw her.
Red latex mask. Killer heels. A leash that screamed she was chosen.
Unfortunately for her, restraint isn’t in my vocabulary. When I want something, I take it. And I want her.
But claiming her unearths a secret buried in my family’s greatest asset, a secret so dangerous it could destroy us all. Now, I’ve made a choice—one that leaves me next in line to rule the D’Angelo empire, more vulnerable than ever, and tethered to the one person I shouldn’t want.
She’s impossible to live without and even harder to let in. But the deeper I fall, the clearer it becomes: she’s the only thing keeping me from losing everything.
R. Collins is a dark romance author with a passion for storytelling that began at a young age. A lifelong admirer of romance in all its forms, she is particularly drawn to the darker, more complex aspects of love—where desire, obsession, and vulnerability intertwine. Her writing journey started with poetry, where she honed her ability to capture raw emotions and complex feelings in every word. Now, she channels that same emotional depth into crafting interracial dark romance novels that explore intense, often forbidden connections between characters from different walks of life. Each story she tells delves into the depths of passion, the shadows of longing, and the unexpected twists that love can bring.
Destiny starts off with a bang and never lets up! This story had me hooked from the very beginning. It will have you reading all night long if you’re not careful.
The MMC, Luca meets Rhea the FMC working in his family’s club and she is already spoken for but he doesn’t mind stepping on toes. I don’t want to spoil the incredible opening of this book but it’s a must-read!
Everything in this book stems from the decisions made in the beginning and is extremely well plotted and a great mafia story in addition to having plenty, and I mean PLENTY of spice.
Their relationship starts off purely transactional and Luca’s hot head tendencies cause a bit of turbulence for them inside and out of the bedroom but their connection gradually turns into a very sweet, caring relationship that allows both of them to grow as people while facing the dark circumstances surrounding them in the mafia underworld.
This may not be the darkest book in R. Collins catalog of amazing dark romance books but the spice isn’t for the faint of heart. There were multiple points in the book that left my jaw dropped and is worth making sure you read any content warnings beforehand.
The universe setup in this book is very impressive and I cannot wait for more installments of this series because I already have some favorite characters that I NEED to see more of & I think you will too.
Overall enjoyed the book and the story. Some of the scenes with Rhea were hard to read as Luca spoke to her in a derogatory manner and some of the spiced scenes bordered on SA lines
