Better than expectations? Yes.
Something that I needed to read? Yes.
Would I recommend? Yes.
Did I complete it in three sittings only? Absolutely.
It was really out of my comfort zone these days and in a good way. This book is something that any Indian literature girly would adore. It's really short and precise but it doesn't fail to hit the mark. The first impression from the cover could be of a self help book or something that explores on those lines but honestly this is so much better. We get : setting in rural India, a girl with family problems, the vices of society, mental health themes, both sides of female relations - toxic and nurturing and a love that makes you smile. It is that sort of book that I would look forward to read when I ask for Indian book recommendations. Ragha was a journey, Nia was an experience, the mother was a lesson and Mr. Rao...well he was just adorable.🤣🫶
A few punctuation marks and a little bit of thorough editing would make this even more delightful.

A Gripping Family Drama: "Dream That Found Me" by Aria Tsukishima📖

I just finished reading "Dream That Found Me" by Aria Tsukishima, and I'm still reeling from the experience. This book is a masterfully crafted family drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The story begins beautifully, with vivid descriptions of the surroundings and environment that transport you to the world of the protagonist, Ragha. But beneath the idyllic surface, Ragha's life is marked by tension and drama, particularly in her complicated relationship with her mother.

Ragha's mother is a fascinating and complex character - strict, narcissistic, and witchy, with a negative presence that permeates the entire book. In contrast, Ragha's bond with her grandmother is loving and tender, providing a welcome respite from the drama.

As I turned the pages, I found myself drawn into a world of twists and turns, with unexpected surprises lurking around every corner. The story is a perfect blend of happy and sad moments, romance, and thriller elements, making it an unputdownable read.

Aria Tsukishima's writing is engaging, expressive, and evocative, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of human emotions. This book is a testament to the power of storytelling, with a narrative that will keep you guessing until the very end.

Rudyard Kipling once said, “God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.” Motherhood is one of the most beautiful experiences a woman can have. Although I am not a mother yet, the thought of having a future child fills me with warmth, love, nurturing instincts, and care. It is often said that while a child may not always turn out well for their mother, a mother can never think ill of her child. However, Ragha's story offers a different perspective.

Through Ragha's story, we gain insight into how a difficult childhood and abusive parenting can affect one's mental well-being. Despite being the perfect daughter and a good person, Ragha was denied the love and support she deserved. As a woman of high moral values, she struggled to find the courage to stand up against her mother's injustices. The constant abuse from her mother led to low self-esteem and confidence issues. However, over time, with the support of her daughter Nia, Ragha eventually found the strength to assert herself.

The author illustrates how some individuals pass on their mental baggage and trauma to future generations, ultimately damaging their lives. After reading this story, I realized that no woman should have to endure the struggles that Ragha faced; instead, they should advocate for themselves. Rather than resorting to violence, they should develop smarter, non-violent strategies to address their challenges.

This story fosters compassion and empathy towards others and instills hope and confidence in those facing similar circumstances. It teaches them how to navigate difficult situations and interact effectively with individuals exhibiting complex behavior. I encourage you to read it for yourself.

A Dream That Found Me is a heartfelt and thought-provoking novel about resilience, self-discovery, and the power of love. The story follows Ragha, a brilliant young girl with a deep passion for writing, capturing the beauty of nature and life’s moments through her words. Unlike today’s world, where memories are often captured through cameras, Ragha preserves them in her writings. music in birdsong, poetry in the rain, and joy in simply living at the moment. However, growing up under the strict control of her mother, she faces hardships that leave a lasting impact on her life.

As she steps into adulthood, Ragha finds herself at a crossroads. navigating her first job, new relationships, and the challenges that come with standing up for her dreams. Along the way, she meets Mr. Rao, who encourages her to see life beyond her struggles. But just as she begins to embrace hope, fate takes an unexpected turn, testing her strength like never before.

What makes this novel truly special is its beautifully depicted relationships—especially Ragha’s bond with her grandmother and, later, with her daughter, Nia. The story delicately explores the effects of childhood trauma and the importance of breaking toxic cycles. Through Ragha’s journey, we see how love, courage, and perseverance can reshape one’s destiny.

Beyond its emotional depth, A Dream That Found Me is also a nostalgic reminder of a time before the digital age. when people found joy in nature, in handwritten words, and in simply being present. At just 125 pages, it’s an engaging and touching read that leaves readers reflecting on life, love, and the dreams we dare to chase.

"Dream That Found Me" by Aria Tsukishima is a family drama that delves into the complexities of relationships, love, and identity. The story revolves around Ragha, a young protagonist navigating her complicated family dynamics.

With its vivid descriptions and immersive storytelling, this book drew me in from the start. The characters are multidimensional and relatable, with Ragha's grandmother being a particularly loving and supportive presence.

However, Ragha's mother is a stark contrast, embodying a strict, narcissistic, and controlling personality that casts a dark shadow over the narrative.

As the story unfolds, Tsukishima masterfully weaves together themes of family secrets, romance, and self-discovery. The twists and turns keep you guessing, making this book an engaging and unputdownable read.

"A Dream That Found Me" by Aria Tsukishima is a deeply emotional story about Ragha, a young woman trapped in a toxic family dynamic. Controlled by her abusive mother, she finds solace in her job and the kindness of her boss, Mr. Rao, who eventually confesses his love. Just when happiness seems within reach, a shocking twist changes everything, forcing Ragha into an unwanted marriage.

Somewhat, I got a feeling like Mariam’s life, which didn’t end on a good note, and I was hoping Ragha’s fate wouldn’t be the same. While the story is compelling, it could benefit from some editing. Still, it’s an emotional and gripping read that keeps you hooked till the end. Give it a try!
