If you love holiday romances that blend small-town warmth with undeniable chemistry, Kelsie Calloway’s A Spicy Christmas With The Cowboy delivers a delightfully cozy, slow-burn sizzle that feels like being wrapped in a blanket beside a crackling fire—while a cowboy watches you with that particular look that melts your insides. This story is tender, sexy, atmospheric, and deeply relatable for anyone who’s ever felt the burnout of modern life and longed for something quieter… something real.
❄️ A Woman Who Needs Rest. A Cowboy Who Needs a Reason to Hope. Anne arrives in the mountains completely drained—burnt out, overworked, and desperate for a break from the endless grind of city expectations. A solo holiday escape should be simple, right? Wrong. Her peaceful retreat becomes chaos the moment she steps inside “her” rental cabin… and finds a rugged, broad-shouldered cowboy scowling at her from across the room. Jase Lawrence, ranch owner, resident grump, and accidental holiday roommate, is not impressed. Especially when he realizes the place was mistakenly rented out over Christmas—a time he absolutely was planning on spending alone. But a blizzard doesn’t care about their plans, and suddenly Anne’s peaceful holiday has turned into a forced-proximity fantasy she never saw coming.
🪵 Forced Proximity + Farm Chores = Heating Up the Holidays Jase expects Anne to crumble at the first hint of rural life. Instead, she rolls up her sleeves and surprises him at every turn—splitting logs, feeding animals, hiking through snowdrifts, and revealing a resilience he didn’t know he needed to see. Anne, for her part, didn’t expect her “quiet retreat” to involve early morning chores, worn leather gloves, and a cowboy with a jawline sharp enough to slice through ice. Between shared dinners, unexpected laughter, and decorating a makeshift Christmas tree together, something shifts. The tension between them becomes impossible to ignore—warm, slow, and intimate, like the moment before the first snowflake falls.
🎄 A Christmas That Doesn't Go According to Plan… And That’s the Magic As Anne settles into the rhythm of life on Jase’s ranch, she finds what she didn’t know she was missing: ✨ stillness ✨ connection ✨ purpose ✨ and a man whose quiet strength speaks to her soul But falling for Jase means facing a truth she’s been avoiding—does she return to the city and the life that’s been draining her dry, or take a chance on a cowboy who’s beginning to feel like home? Jase, too, wrestles with his own fears. He didn’t expect Anne to fit into his world so easily, or to uncover pieces of his heart he thought were long since buried. Their journey is one of rediscovery—hope renewed, walls lowered, and love found exactly where neither of them planned to look.
A Spicy Christmas With The Cowboy is everything a holiday romance should be: ✔️ cozy, atmospheric winter vibes ✔️ electric forced-proximity tension ✔️ a city girl rediscovering herself ✔️ a cowboy who loves quietly but fiercely ✔️ spice that’s warm, intimate, and delicious ✔️ a love story that feels both soft and empowering Anne and Jase’s connection feels earned—two lonely, guarded people learning to trust again, one snow-covered moment at a time. This story is perfect for readers who want: ❤️ a holiday escape 🤠 a rugged-but-secretly-soft cowboy 🔥 spice wrapped in tenderness ❄️ emotional healing 🌲 rustic charm 🎁 Christmas magic in every chapter This romance will warm you faster than the fire Jase builds at dawn—beautiful, comforting, and irresistibly hot.

Anne planned a low key vacation in a small rural area to recharge away from her high stress job in the city. She had rented a cabin in the country, but when she arrived there was a cowboy already there that informed her the place should not have been rented out over the holidays. She showed him, her confirmation, and he let her stay, but she would have to earn her keep by doing farm chores. He had no idea of her rural background. From the moment, they met there was an electrical sizzle going on between them that especially, Jace was trying to exnore. He thought by making her help around the place would run her off. Anne was made of sterner stuff than he realized. A fun entertaining holiday romance.

A great novella about a city girl and a cowboy coming together after a mistake is made by a rental company about renting out his cabin. It takes no time before the two become close even though the cowboy was less than happy to see her at his door. This happens during Christmas time while a snow storm is coming through the area. The woman was trying to make a life decision and after they became intimate she made her decision. Three months later the woman is still with the man and they’re married. The couple is making plans for the place they live. The couple tell one another that they love one another, The couple is happy and in love.

Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Jase and Anne Genre- Holiday Romance Sub Genre- Contemporary Western Romance Length- novelette Heat- they do the thing and name the parts. Safety? Y Triggers? N Tropes- Fish Out of Water, Opposites Attract, Ride ‘Em Cowboy, Forced Proximity (snowbound), Grumpy/Sunshine. Mewsings- Gotta love a gruff hero with a soft center. This story was sweet with Heat. I did notice that they kept acting surprised when the stereotypes didn’t fit either of them, though. Repeatedly.

Needing a break from city life Anne heads to her hired cabin only to find that it has been wrongly booked and the owner Jace is very much there. They soon discover that between them they are truly missing that something special from their lives. Can they make it work or is the pull of the city stronger? A good read.

An interesting read which brings together a rancher and an executive trying to find herself. The story takes place over a short period of time over the Christmas holiday, and their relationship progresses rapidly. I gave the story 4 stars because it just seemed like something was missing from the story.

HOLY SH*T this romance read is off the charts one FANTASTIC AWESOME book. Jase is going to cause some HOT FLASHES and Anne is the perfect match for him. Goodness gracious the cover alone is enough to have you wanting to read the book but wait and see how much you fall head over heels in love with the storyline itself. This is a perfect 5 STAR read.
This short story has likeable characters, connection, chemistry and a forced together situation. I liked seeing them get to know each other, understand themselves and one another better, and taking that leap of faith.

A wonderful story Anne exchanges the city for a quiet place and time for herself. She ends up on a ranch with Jase. Where she is cheerful he is grumpy but they complement each other. I enjoyed their story and the journey to a hea. A page turner and recommended!

The author has given us a fast-paced Christmas Themed story that pulls us into the lives of Anne and Jase. The heartwarming story keeps us turning the pages with connections, misconceptions, proximity and steam.

I loved the chemistry between Anne and Jase. She was luckily unlucky to be stuck in snowed in cabin with his hotness. Short and sweet. A very good entertainment substitute for television.

There was just something off from the beginning of this book for me. I didn’t understand why he was in the cabin and if it was a working ranch, why on earth would you rent out the cabin? None of it made sense to me and I just didn’t buy their chemistry. Just didn’t do it for me.
Anne needed a break from the city chaos and books a cabin in the mountains only a mix up means the owner cowboy Jase is there too, and she needs to earn her stay, but Jase is in for a surprise as shes not so citygirl! Well written engaging steamy desires quick read.
A holiday rental mix-up strands Jase and Anne together, forcing them to bridge loneliness with mutual respect and curiosity. Loved how they discover shared longings beneath their differences.

This second book was better than the first one I will say. The way the story transitioned was better and it flowed so much better. I will continue the series and see how it goes. So far so good and would recommend as a fast easy read.

“Mischief”
Ok I only read this because I’m about to start a new fantasy series when I’m over the flu and I need a few fun books in between now and then. There just wasn’t enough of this book, so idk, 2 stars.
A spicy Christmas with the cowboy 🤠 was Jase and Anne’s story. It was an entertaining and fun read for me. I got a copy of the book and voluntarily leaving my review.
Fast paced holiday read. Anne is looking for a quiet place to spend the holiday and feels a secluded ranch is the perfect place to relax and regenerate after getting burned out at work. Jase is the owner of the ranch and it seems there is an error when it comes to Anne's booking. He is at his home and he definitely didn't have plans to rent it for the holiday's. Because of the storm fast approaching Jase lets Anne stay. The two get to know one another while Anne helps out with some of the ranch work. There is also strong attraction on both their parts. Entertaining read with a great HEA.
