Haunting You by Rylie Dark is part of the Hailey Rock FBI series — the 13th book in it. It’s a rural thriller where Agent Hailey Rock has to track down a killer targeting former leaders, digging up old secrets along the way. It’s got that small-town, spooky vibe, with lots of tension and page-turning twists. The series overall is known for being fast-paced and full of misdirection — you’re not supposed to guess the ending until the last second. This one doesn’t have a ton of reviews yet — just a handful on here with an average around 4 stars — so it hasn’t been talked about, but the feedback so far is positive. If you’ve read other Hailey Rock books, it’ll hit the same notes you already enjoy. If you haven’t, you might want to start earlier in the series, but it does sound like a solid, suspenseful read on its own too.
What an explosive ending, a great way to insure the next book in the series purchased. This is a great series, and easy to read. The pages flow by. The interactions between the characters are just as important as the plot. The development of the relationship between Alice and Hailey still has some bumps in the road but they are both laser focused on Mindy. This book was hard to put down and finished it in one sitting.
