Oh, honey, buckle up, because "Riley" by Eve Riley is a ride you won’t want to miss! Let’s just start by saying that Eve Riley has done it again, serving up two irresistible men wrapped in a deliciously slow-burn romance that's as sweet as it is scorching hot.
Meet Riley, the shy, brainy professor who could probably make even a lecture on quantum physics sound sexy. He’s all serious, no-nonsense—almost too serious, but trust me, there’s a hunk under all that restraint. And then, strutting onto the scene like he owns it, is Eric, the spicy, self-made success story with an OnlyFans account that’s basically sizzling off the screen. Talk about opposites attracting! The dynamic between these two is an intoxicating blend of tension, charm, and oh-so-steamy moments.
But, as always, Eve Riley doesn’t just toss these characters together for kicks—she builds them up with depth and care, allowing their relationship to grow naturally while we swoon and fan ourselves. As the wedding bells start to chime for Riley's brother Aaron and the fabulous Gissel, you can almost feel the emotional fireworks ready to explode between Riley and Eric. Will they finally take that leap into the romance they both crave, or will those pesky secrets and societal pressures ruin the fun? You'll just have to read to find out, darling!
Now, let’s get one thing straight: this is a queer romance, and yes, it’s spicy—like bring-a-fire-extinguisher spicy. If explicit MM scenes aren't your thing, that's cool, but don’t come for Ms. Riley with your prude pitchforks. She’s writing for those of us who appreciate love in all its forms, with a side of very steamy smut, and she does it with such class, humor, and heart.
I’m officially obsessed with this series, and "Riley" is another delectable addition to the Jasper Springs saga. The pages fly by, and just like cherries—you can’t have just one! So clear your schedule, pour a glass of something strong, and dive into this sexy, heartfelt story that’ll have you rooting for Riley and Eric from page one. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
An art teacher and an online content creator—what could possibly go wrong? Riley is an easy-to-read, captivating, and uplifting romance that won’t cause emotional turmoil or overload, and is a perfect choice for rainy, gloomy days when you seek comfort and an escape from harsh reality. It is an intriguing tale of an art professor who is far from adventurous, daring, or confident, and an OF content creator, who fall hard for each other after a series of coincidences and against all odds. Despite a simple plot, the novel is a surprisingly captivating read, thanks to eloquent writing, a vivid narrative, and well-defined characters. The intriguing trope of age, personality, status, and lifestyle gaps, combined with the tension surrounding Eric’s line of work, provides enough suspense to keep the reader invested in the story. Eric is an extroverted, self-confident online star, while Riley is an introverted art professor. Though the immediate attraction is overwhelming, they both try to resist it for different reasons. While Riley lacks self-confidence, Eric fears Riley’s reaction to his choice of job and the potential for rejection. However, after finding out, Riley takes a leap of faith in the name of love, not letting social prejudices disrupt their relationship. The narrative focuses on the present, though more context regarding Eric and Riley’s past experiences might improve understanding of their choices, fears, and dilemmas. The novel is not about dark drama, high angst, or violent themes, nor does it delve into complex emotions and issues. Instead, it is a well-written, vibrant account of the importance of love, seeing the person behind their status or profession, and pursuing happiness at all costs. The depth of Eric’s fears and dilemmas related to Riley’s reaction to his line of work is eye-opening, giving a close and personal insight into how unfair and hurtful assumptions about people based on their occupation can be. Disclaimer: I received an advance review copy of this book. My review is voluntary and reflects my honest opinion.
As a fan of Eve Riley’s Jasper Spring series, I was excited to dive into her latest book, Riley. However, after reading the premise, I took a couple of weeks to pick it up, since it promised a darker romance with an opposites-attract dynamic. Once I started, though, I was hooked.
The story revolves around Eric, a self-made OnlyFans content creator, and Riley, a small-town art teacher. From the beginning, you can sense the tension between these two characters—Eric’s secret career creating a wall between them, and the fear that Riley would leave him if he knew the truth. The author paced this slow unraveling perfectly, making the secret a key driving force behind the story's emotional pull.
The age gap wasn’t a major point of tension since both men were mature and well-established in their lives. Instead, Riley’s social role as a teacher created a more nuanced internal conflict, giving him a certain charm as he navigated his emotions. This dynamic between their professions added depth to their relationship.
What really stood out for me was how the author portrayed Eric’s life as an OnlyFans content creator. She went beyond the surface, showing the loneliness and vulnerability behind the live camera, which made Eric such a relatable and cuddly-worth character.
Riley pushed all the right buttons for me—it's deep, poignant, and has just the right amount of tension and emotional complexity. I highly recommend this book for fans of romance with depth and heart.
3.5 This is the fifth entry in the small town series Jasper Springs and my first book by this author. So, for anyone who wishes to read this as a standalone, it definitely works fine as one. However, I do want to go back and read the others in this series. TBH, though, that may be after I read Mitch (the next book), haha.
I was really looking forward to this book - i love the idea of putting together a camboy with an art teacher and I also love that while there's an age gap, it's not huge, but just enough to make things interesting. Eric and Riley are set up on a blind date by a mutual friend, but alas, the date never happened. They ended up meeting elsewhere by chance and one pool match later, Jasper gains a plus one to his brother's wedding. Until the wedding happens, though, Eric and Jasper get to know each other on multiple levels, including spicy ones. Eric may be making it big on OF, but he feels lonely and has never found someone to want him for his true self. Jasper is lonely too - he's the only single guy in his friend/family group, gay, and has pretty much dedicated his life to his art and to his students. Can these lovely but lonely people make a match? There are some secrets and misunderstanding on their road to their HEA, but there's also some sweet and steamy moments. I liked this book and will read Mitch's story, up next.

I have enjoyed all the books in the Jasper Springs series, and this book is no exception. The characters are charismatic and realistic, jumping off the page and coming to life before my eyes. Riley is a 38 year old high school art teacher and Eric is a 28 year old Only Fans camboy. When the two meet, the attraction and pull is instantaneous, something neither is ready for. Over a game of pool, the bet is Eric’s company as Riley’s plus one for his upcoming brother’s wedding. When Riley wins, the competition continues as the two continue to meet up, both getting more feelings the more time they spend together. But Eric has a secret which could negatively impact Riley’s career, and when Riley unexpectedly learns about it before Eric can get the nerve to share, the entire relationship may be in jeopardy.
Wonderful MCs and supporting characters, creative dates that continue to be competitive, mixed feelings about the rightness of continuing to see each other, and the obligatory HEA inherent in romance novels make for an entertaining and engaging read in the world of Jasper Springs, a series I would recommend.

Wow what a read! Unknowned to Eric and Riley the blind date that they had both been Stood up earlier in the evening, was the guy that they were playing pool with. But thankfully when they had individually gone for a drink and have been attracted to one another and played pool against was enough for them to start the banter and for Riley to win Eric as a date to his brothers wedding. Furthermore, as these two speak to one another it was obviously they were compatible. But Eric has a secret and he doesn’t know how Riley will take it, you see Eric is a onlyFans guy who has made a brilliant living off it. Riley He is a school teacher, so will he worry about his reputation if somebody recognises Eric?? I am totally loving this series and Riley and Eric just made reading this book so easy. I love the attractions between them and Riley, just a brilliant human being, and Eric is perfect for Riley he’s too brilliant together and I could not read this book fast enough.

My Review I received an ARC of this book from Book Sirens. This book is already out. I'm back with another book by Eve Riley. This one's called Riley. It's a small town, age-gap romance that was a hell of a lot of fun to read. Riley is a professor and as serious as they come. Eric, on the other hand is a content creator and not the kind you would willing show your mama. These two were supposed to meet at on a blind date but it didn't happen because Riley was very late. They meet late through friends and eventually start meeting for coffee and things go from there. Riley and Eric are fun and will have you laughing and smiling 'til your cheeks and side hurt. At least mine did. This book, like so many of Eve's books are sweet, charming and just easy reading. Easy-reading with a whole lot of heat mixed in. Please ensure to have cooling things around while reading. I will not be responsible for overheating while reading! Other winner in my opinion. Until next time, peace and happy reading.
I loved this book. It was easy to get hooked. I loved both Eric and Riley. Eric was a camboy who was lonely and wanted someone to want and/or love him for who he is beyond what his thirsty followers see. Riley was an art teacher who needed a plus one for his brother's wedding. He thought Eric was gorgeous and completely out of his league. I love that they were each other's blind date, but Riley was held up at work and arrived very late, and Eric thought he'd been stood up. Their initial meeting at the bar was amusing when Riley accidentally hit Eric in the jewels with a pool cue, and made me laugh so hard when he tried to drive the man home only to have a sex scene from an audiobook begin playing in his car. I loved that Riley was a gentleman that opened the door for Eric to get in his car and walked him to his door (I could have swooned!) and I liked that Eric flirted with him and put his number in his phone. These two were really cute together. Both had insecurities and I couldn't wait to see their relationship play out. 5 stars.
Riley, a straight-laced high school art teacher, and Eric, an adult online entertainer, may not seem like an obvious match. After a failed blind date meeting, they crossed paths by chance at M’s Bar, where a bet formed by their friends brought them together in an unexpected way.
Riley's loneliness and straight-laced nature provide the perfect contrast to Eric's bold, free-spirited personality, and their chemistry is undeniable. The author does a fantastic job of weaving together humor, sweetness, and just the right amount of drama to keep you turning the pages.
While this book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend starting from the beginning of the Jasper Springs series. The recurring characters make each book feel like coming home to old friends, and there’s always something to look forward to.
I can’t wait for Mitch's story! If you're looking for something fun, sweet, and heartwarming, this series is a must-read.

This is the 5th book in the Jasper Springs series and I really enjoyed it. It can be read as a standalone but you really should read the entire series. This is the story of Riley Evans and Eric Olsen. Riley is a 38 year old high school art teacher. Eric is a 28 year old OF artist and he produces his own show. Originally set up on a blind date by a mutual friend, Riley accidentally stands him up. They meet later that night at a bar. A bet is made over a game of pool and Riley wins by accidentally injuring Eric. Now Eric has agreed to escort Riley to his brothers wedding. This is their story. Both are used to people not really seeing the person that they are underneath. It is wonderful that they actually see the real person. Both have a little lack of confidence when it comes to seeing each other. This is a well written story and is easy to read. I really enjoyed it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Riley is a teacher. He loves his job and his life but has given up on finding Mister Wright. Eric is a star on Only Fans. He has lots of worshippers but he just wants to find the one, Mr. Right.
Jasper Springs just keeps introducing intriguing men. Eric spends his time in front of a camera, exposing himself to the world but he knows there’s something missing. The author portrayed his uncertainty without getting mired in regret. His “ job” has been good to him, he knows that, but has reached the stage in his life where he wants more. That more is Riley.
I would of liked to have learned more aboutRiley’s teaching and his particular talents. That part of his life seemed to be glossed over.
Of all the Jasper Springs books this the best for me. The characters seemed more defined and their courtship was sweet and unusual. This book could probably work as a standalone. The characters from other books in the series play peripheral parts.
A missed blind date, a chance meeting later that evening, and a winning bet brings Riley together with Eric. As well as being best man for his brother's wedding Riley needs a date for the event, the problem is his prospects aren't great in a small town at his age and with his work commitments. Eric is nursing his disappointment at being stood up by his blind date when he accepts the wager that will make him Rileys'. Eric finds himself more than a little interested in this shy man but is concerned that the content of his OnlyFans account will Drive the straight-laced Riley away and threaten his job. Truth, trust, growth, and change are the cornerstone of a healthy relationship, and it takes time to get there. These two are good for each other. A fine romance.

This is certainly not the first in the Jasper Springs series that I have reviewed but to me it was the most disappointing.
I like Eve Riley's character development but the plot in this book missed some of the qualities of the other books in the series. I am not saying it is a book to avoid. I still liked the book and perhaps my feelings were partly due to expectations. The rating would be closer to the three but above it.
The introduction of an Only Friends account that Eric uses versus a small town school teacher is really the gist of the plot. They get along well and both worry about what the ramifications might be of Eric's work as an online sex worker. In the end they care enough for each other but I will not spoil how it is resolved.

Eve writes the most wonderful characters, Riley and Eric did not disappoint - as individuals they both have great personalities but when they start hanging out they begin to realise they've both been missing out on what life has to offer.
I had some real emotions come through with this book, from how the characters met as thought they really were meant to be, to Riley's student looking out for him and Eric's guilt over his emotions and the job he's always been proud of. When both their boundaries are pushed, do they want to take the risk for what could be and ignore what the world might think?
The way they each approach the situation in front of them was perfect but definitely had me on edge wondering how they would get through the challenges life throws at them!
A wonderful journey indeed.

Sweet with a little hot spice. Riley is looking forward to his brotherAaron's wedding. He just needs to find a plue one. He is a low key art teacher. Eric, an entrepreneur, owning OnlyFans, is the lucky man. He is at a pivotal point in his life where he wants more than sex, he wants to be loved and wanted for himself. Their first missed meeting was fun and so. normal. Their second, was a hoot. Their courtship was fun. The characters were really nice guys and meny of the characters from earlier books make an appearance. Good relaxing read with the minimum relationship issues making the story beyond interesting. Good cover art! Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Eric operates an Only Fans account, as producer and star. Riley is a small town teacher. After a blind date no show, Eric meets Riley at M's, the local bar. A game of pool ends with Eric agreeing to be Riley's date at his brother's wedding.
They have a wonderful chemistry, a bit of sizzle. There's a bit of angst and tension with Eric's job. Both men are slightly insecure, but better as a pairing. Characters from the previous books in the series are good secondary characters.
A quick fun read. Look forward to more.

When Riley needed someone to take to his brother's wedding, he met Eric at a pool game. Although not the actual meeting that was arranged, they hit it off. Their individual dreams of the ideal partner might have been a bit far-reaching, but Eve Riley made it happen. Secrets kept and hesitant to reveal, could bring the house down. So sad that one equates being satisfied and successful in life, to one's ability to earn an income and to allow other's to dictate if it is acceptable or not. This author had me page turning to find out what happens when, of course, it is leaked to the public. I received a copy from BookSirens and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Due to a missed blind date, Eric meets Riley at "M's" the local hang-out. Riley & his friends challenge Eric & his to a game of pool. The winner takes Riley to his brother's wedding as his date. Eric's team loses, Eric is his date. So that they are comfortable with each other they go on practice dates & hit it off. Things are going great but Eric is hiding something that Riley finds out about through an e-mail. Each are afraid to tell each other what/that they know his secret. Riley" is another great book in the Jasper Springs series. I love Riley and Eric. Their story is sweet and their relationship a slow burn. The Jasper Springs series has wonderful characters and it is great to see them in other books throughout the series. I know to read these books on a weekend since I won't put them down once I start. Eve Riley always leaves me ready for more and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Eric is stupid up on a blind date. Riley is late for his blind date. They both end up at a barand playing pool together not knowing they were each others dates. Eric ended up having to be Riley's plus one to a wessing. They get to know each other. Will Riley be ok with Eric's job or will he not want to get into the relationship cause of his job?
This book tells the story of Riley and Eric. Riley who is looking for herself, who wants more, who also wants to have fun. And Eric, despite feeling like a man of the world, is really not one inside. He's just as insecure as Riley. He is also looking for stability, but he has a secret. And that secret could be the end of a beautiful beginning. At least he thinks so. I enjoyed this story again, book number 5, and believe me my bags are packed, I think I'm moving to Jasper Springs.
I'm a fan of this series and this book didn't disappoint. This book is brings a ton of heat with the chemistry that Riley and Eric have. But there is also substance in the characters. I loved how although Riley was older but it was Eric who exhibited more dominant behaviour. It was nice to see Riley come out of his shell a bit, but also to see Eric's sensitive side. Also the insight into Eric's job…🔥.

OMG! This was such a beautifully emotive read. So well written and such depth emotionally I was completely enthralled from the start. I loved how Eve portrayed Eric, she really went deep to show us his true self that made me want to hug him so much! This was alongside such a heartfelt storyline with all the challenges that he and Riley face to get the relationship they both deserve, it was just so good! I received a free arc copy and this is my honest review
This is a well written book with strong characters in Riley and Eric. The author does a great job developing their story and paints her scenes perfectly. She takes you into their lives with a slow burn romance and a secret. She moves the story fluidly and delivers a terrific addition to the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are freely given.
In this day and age this theme of Internet work is becoming quite popular. This story has a nice ending with little drama built up and I liked that. A small amount of angst but not overdone. The story was interesting and the characters as well. The story moved along at a good pace and was easy to read, again, a plus. The HEA was a boon, as well, closing this story up nicely.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Riley is helping with his brothers wedding, teaches art at the high school and just wants someone to call his own. Eric is a young succussful OF star. He enjoys his job and the life it lets him have however, he is lonely. Riley and Eric meet after a missed blind date and hit it off. The more time they spend together, the more they want. Low angst, kept secrets, realizing that someone is worth falling in love a grabbing the moment.
This was an angsty one. I always enjoy an age gap , and these two gave it to me in spades .I quickly became invested in their journey. I liked that these two gravitated towards each other despite the missed set up date. In my mind, they were meant to be.
I liked how they got past the only fans and found a deeper relationship . I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest opinion.
Eric is an Only Fan's guy and Riley is a schoolteacher. First, they miss out on a blind date and then Riley wins Eric's company on a bet for a wedding date. Two guys so unalike yet perfect for each other, Riley is more conservative and submissive, not outgoing, and Eric is out there, dominant and flashy bold. Both want something lasting and monogamous, a real relationship. I enjoyed this lighthearted romp. I received a copy of this book through BookSirens and this is my voluntary opinion.
