A woman’s fear isn’t weakness, it’s kindling. Fuel for the fires of rage that will never stop burning.
Retribution isn’t always swift. But Lilith knows all too well the horrors that those who claim to be ‘good’ and ‘pure’ can inflict. When the forces of Heaven fall to seek revenge for the murder of the Archangel Gabriel, Lilith’s restraint over her monstrous instincts is put to the test. Will Eden seek to escape Lilith’s grasp to preserve her own life, or will she allow herself to be consumed, falling prey to the very creature she swore her soul to?
I adore this series, in fact this is my third time reading them and I am very impatiently waiting for the fifth book 😅.
The Heart of Demon series follows Eden a university student, studying religious studies and trying to grapple with new things she is learning about herself, thanks to Lilith. The mother of demons swoops into Eden’s life and changes everything.
Book 3 focuses on the kidnapping of Lilith spawn, and the fall of angels. In the first 2 books we see a slight change and growth in Lilith’s character but despite her softening towards Eden she still comes across as controlling and toxic in a way. This book shows that Lilith is still and will probably always be a villain, it shows a nastier side to Lilith and will make you want to strangle her. The book will also make you want to slap Eden repetitively as she often comes across as too trusting and she forgives too easily.

I was on countdown to this book and finished it within 24 hours of it being released.
I absolutely loved this book.
I’ve described it as beautiful but brutal because that’s exactly what it is. It’s the right amount of sassiness (I’m looking at you Erik & Lucy) the spice level is perfect (magic straps, yes pleaseee)
I love how Lilith pushes and protects Eden.
Charmaine’s little added oomph is delightful to see. I just love this book/this series and just Mia in general.
I need another cat though 👀😂
Please go read it- I’ve rated the whole series so far on TikTok, much to Mia’s delight of me losing my words and having to process what has happened 😂
Thank you again for a beautiful but brutal book. I can only see the story getting more beautiful and more brutal as it goes on. I cannot wait for the next one ❤️
