Love this series! Unfortunate though, it is Starting to drag a little and I really dislike the character of Jasmine since she first appeared. She’s written as a self centered, self absorbed, social climbing gold digging narcissist. Her character has kind of ruined the recent part of the series for me but I keep hoping she will be faded into the background like some of the other characters and there will be more focus on all the other awesome main characters. Jasmine can’t be redeemed and I guess we are supposed to see through her and hate her but I don’t understand how any of the others characters would tolerate her. Please move on from her story line .

To say this was an improvement on book 90 would be an understatement!
My favorite couple finally got married, even while surrounded by all the naysayers. What was that about? It was as though no one was happy for them... I wasn't sure what to make of Peter's mother, still don't, to be honest. I felt so bad for him during their confrontation at the airport. I am forever rooting for these 2.
Speaking of Peter, the mission was what it was and no one was more surprised than me with young Drova's performance. Poor kid wasn't ready 😢. This is either going to make or break her. I'm curious to see what she will do next.
The new developments with the twins origins were quite interesting. Gotta admire Brandon's mind at work. I appreciate the forward motion with the storyline.

Isabella you have out done yourself with this series! The way you seem merely have melded the two new heroes and how they develop in their new lives, finding their live mates, and hinting on a new adventure involving their mates. I am so into this story line and it's connection with the original tendrils of the story! It gets more involved and complicated, yet expands so perfectly! You have become one of my favorite authors! I feel like I almost know you as a friend! I am so looking forward to reading this next trilogy! I've ordered the books already and I'm starting on the first one, number 92! Please continue to amaze one entertain me and feed my romantic soul!!!

Third book for Morelle and Brandon
Once I started reading this, I could not put it down. has been great seeeing their story develop as they both have strong personalities.
Morelle and Ell-rom were very different characters from the previous books and it was great to see how both developed.
We also get to see Rob go through his ceremony to transition. Peter and Marina get married and have some worry to deal with. Drova got a taste of what working with the guardians would be like. I think it was an eye opener for her.
Finally, wow what an ending. Can't wait for the next book.

Lots of repetitiveness
Trigger warning sexual child abuse.
This one has a lot of repetitive sentiments from Brandon about Morelle, her personality and their relationship. It was annoying. I had to skip their sex scenes because they were also annoying.
I also had to skip parts of Peter’s mission, considering what it was, who was involved and how long it was taking them to spring into action considering what they were saying was happening while discussing Drova’s attitude, restraint and bloodlust. It was highly stressful.

Morelle displays a new power, and she fears what it could mean. Will her family be afraid of her or support her? Does she confide in Brandon? What will he do? Finally, Peter and Marina’s wedding takes place and Annani’s speech and their vows are heartfelt. Hopefully the Fates are with them on their journey. The Guardians take part in a new mission with their newly formed teams with Peter at the helm. And we get to see Drova in action. But this book leaves an unexpected cliffhanger. The next book can’t come out quick enough.

My "little escape" Love this series
I enjoy the character development, the timelines, the introductions of new immortals, a long-lived race, and the dormants transitioning. I.T. Lucas brings to life a fascinating storyline of immortals secretly striving to help good overcome evil within human society. I've read every book. I am impatiently waiting for more.... if only paranormal talents could indeed be a precursor that could lead to immortality.... would you want to live forever?

I'M IMPATIENT!!!! .... Uh, I don't think she sends them out fast enough. This is my world and I need these out sooner, ok? I know she has other awesome books too, (which I read also) but she needs to put her brain to a computer and just pound out these books, I don't like waiting,... LOL I LOVE HER BOOKS!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BOOKS YOU WRITE AND THE TIME IT TAKES TO WRITE THEM. I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into these books and series. To be able to keep your reader engaged and the detail is just awesome.

And now Sissi has had a vision about Keira, Jasmines mum where is this going to lead The Clan next?????

More progression as couples proceed to deepen bonds and the plot around the twins gains possible clarity. I wish the entire "world" was a little more three-dimensional so that there was more depth building and it wasn't always so relationship-focused. Some perspective from Nalhu and/or his harem and/or Logain would be great. Not replacing existing content--since these stories are too quick--but added in. Still, great reads!

I can't stop reading this series!! So good!
This book took me back to the way the series began. Introducing new characters and abilities to a great extent. The Guardians are back to saving lives with unexpected assistance. Morelle and Brandon are beautiful together. Gertrude has finally found love and happiness. AND... Sissy is making strides from her visions again. So well-written and so, so exciting again! Thank you Isabelle Lucas for going back to basics again!!

the build up
I really look forward to each book when it comes out. I usually finish within 1-2 days then get mad that I have to wait for the next one. This was one that took me a whole month to read. It’s mostly a build up to more climatic books to come. Brandon & Morrelle don’t really hold my interest. Right now they’re dull. I can’t wait for book 92. I’m not going anywhere though, lol.

Its Always entertaining with these Gods and Immortals!
However, this one is the darkest yet. Well mentioned of very dark content and scenes that are very hard to read. Check your TW if any. This new "Avengers" division is dealing with the most despicable, disturbing and really disgusting of human society. Be warned!
*** Would like to mention this is not the whole story but by the very end it mostly is. The better part is amazing, sweet and spicy like we know and love ☺️

Ascending
With Morelle and Brandon relationship/bonding more firmly in place, They hit a snag or two but work through them. Drova was able to be a key player in a mission while being tested on following directions but was able to prove her worth to herself and to the guardian leader of the team, Peter.

Another great read!
So much going on in this one... very intriguing concerning so many different people/situations. Can't wait to read more. I.T. Lucas is a great storyteller (like Brandon). It would be great if she was immortal too. She could write forever and I would read them all 😉

Another great addition to the Children of the Gods series!!!!!!
So exciting to see Morelle develop and understand her abilities! I loved seeing Drova become more responsible and help in the rescue of abused and trafficked children! So many great developments in Rob’s story and Jasmine’s! Love this series so much!

Another fantastic read!
I've loved every book in this series, some more than others for various reasons, but this one was one of the best. All of the threads that have been building over the course of this series are finally coming together. I can't wait to see how it's all going to play out! Bring on Book 92!

Wow! Another great COTG book
I am really enjoying the journey of watching the clan fight the evil of humanity, the relationships on the way, exploring intergalactic politics, and uncovering ancient mysteries. The possibility of of even finding Annani’s mate, the original love story of this series. This one left on a real cliffhanger, I can’t wait for the next book!

Another great book!
This has been my absolute favorite series! Always coming up with new stories but still including chapters with past characters. Can't wait to see how the story unfolds with Ellrom and Morelle! They'll be a great defense against The Doomers. Looking forward to reading about Kyra!

Still More to Learn
Dark Princess Ascending, book 91 of I.T. Lucas' The Children of the Gods series brings more questions. There seems to be an endless supply of knowledge still needed by the clan. Even after 91 books in this series and other in her spin-off series this storyline grows with every book. The depth of Mrs. Lucas' imagination is amazing.

Wow, one of the best books i have read in a long time!
Love the characters and storyline in this book, it has humour threaded all the way through, along with some real drama and suspense, page turning excellence from a master storyteller.
