Into space? Never again! That is what Mandy Neumann, the last East German cosmonaut, swore to herself after escaping the death trap that the state's space station had become shortly after the 80th anniversary of her socialist republic.

But the danger encountered by Police Lieutenant Tobias Wagner in a restricted area of Lusatia has spread - and it threatens to destroy not only Eastern Germany but the entire world.

Scientists from both East and West despair as there seems to be no remedy. The only way out is to prevent the anomaly from developing in the first place. Someone must board the Russian Vostok-6 capsule in 1963, replacing the first female cosmonaut, Valentina Tereshkova. In 2032, however, there is only one person who has all the necessary skills - Mandy Neumann.

Time travel to prevent the nothing!

The nothing is going to consume the Earth. To prevent this, Miriam wants to send Mandy back through time to prevent the experiment that led to the study that created the nothing. However, no one knows where Mandy is and so our old German friend Walter is recruited to help find her. Can Miriam be trusted or does she have an ulterior motive? Will her theory of how time travel can be achieved work? What consequences will there be?
An extremely high amount of energy, the nothing, an old car, 1963, an earring and a veal schnitzel all play a role in the achieving of time travel and ensuring its not a one-way trip for our intrepid time travellers, though there are two additions to the trip - one planned for and one not...
An intriguing tale of suspense, surprise, peril, paints an entertaining read with a twist of epic proportions.....
