Innovative title and story

Another mystery for Ryan and his group of people and it is because of flash mob zombies. Interesting story with impressive character building. Liked it.

No, it wasn't about zombies at all!
I was a bit distracted at first by the idea of zombies. Not my usual reading category, but i was given this book and asked for a honest review. I'd read the first of this three-book series and really enjoyed it. So my expectations were high in spite of my uncertainty.
And I loved it. The characters are well drawn, the plot truly unique, the setting aptly described without going overboard. I look forward to reading Clone Drones, book three in the series, and I hope there are many more.

This is my second journey into the world of the O'Rourke and his team of investigators. I have to admit that I almost did not make the trip; I am not a fan of "Zombie" stories and stay away from the genre like the plague (pun intended). However, I was so impressed by their first book, Bioprints, that I did the "look inside", just to see how bad it was going to be. Imagine my surprise when I found that it was not a "Zombie" book, but merely used the flash mob of Zombies as a literary device, to further the plot line. The characters continue to build their relationships with each other and consequently draw the readers deeper into the story. The dialog is well thought out and the transitions are handled very professionally. These two authors continue to grow in their craft and I would not be surprised when they started receiving the recognition they richly deserve. I consider the time I spend with their books as pure entertainment, there was no wasted effort trying to decipher misspellings or poor grammar. I heartily recommend this to everyone, especially those folks who hesitate at any book with the word "Zombie", you will love it.

Once again I am thoroughly impressed by this well written mystery. I love Ryan and his team of investigators. The Carter's do an excellent job of composing a compelling and thrilling private detective series that always has an unique flare or twist.

This particular story was incredible as the detectives had a couple of different cases that they were working on that eventually intertwined. The detail and knowledge that flows onto the pages regarding being a private detective and the new advances in technology is well thought out, and detailed enough that I was able to visualize the equipment they were using etc.

It was nice to see the characters develop even more and the relationships evolve and deepen. The storyline is engaging and is a true page-turner. There is plenty of action, some violence, some brewing romance, and of course some mystery to keep you interested.

Excellent job and I can't wait to read the next one!!!

Flash Zombies is another compelling and exciting Ryan O'Rourke adventure. Set primarily in Western Chicagoland the story follows Ryan and his colleagues as they try to solve two seemingly unconnected thefts. The writers do an excellent job creating characters, both good and bad, that you can connect with. They easily weave the story from multiple points of view, allowing the reader to know whats going on without causing any confusion. The story concludes in a way that sets up for a follow up or two drawing lines between Ryan's team and an ongoing menace. I excitedly await the third volume.

I enjoyed this mystery crime novel and have found when I want to find a good crime novel I look for the Carter's. Ryan O' Rourke is back with his crew of investigators, This time the recent fascination with Zombies is featured in the novel, but readers will find so much more as the novel twist and turns into a great suspense adventure . I loved the way the crimes were committed, good thinking on the author's part. Readers will find this and other novels in the series a must have. The writing is well done and the story takes readers through all the fun and suspense. Great job!

Flash Zombies was an entertaining, well-developed mystery with a splash of zombie mixed in. R. C. Carter does such a great job with the characters that I found myself feeling sorry for the robbers. Mystery fans would enjoy this unique twist.

Flash Zombies, my first read in this series, is the second book in the O’Rourke Crime Novels by R.C & J.P Carter. I decided to read this book first because I was drawn to the title. Zombies seemed to promise a unique twist and a bit of humor to the story, and it certainly delivered. Ryan O’Rourke is a certified insurance fraud Investigator. He and his team of agents investigate fraud, corporate espionage, malpractice, and an array of similar criminal activities. This story focuses on two cases involving major high-end jewelry thefts and large quantities of drugs disappearing from a local hospital.

I truly enjoyed this fast-paced, intricately woven plot. It was so imaginative and well-constructed; I couldn’t stop reading. It was like working a complex puzzle without a picture that has many pieces that at first glance don’t appear to belong, but the more you work with it you begin to see a pattern. The authors do an exceptional job of building suspense through methodical timing of events and introduction of characters. First person point of view is used for the main protagonist Ryan, but all others are third person. It works well through the various twists and kept me guessing.

I love the professional but humorous and laidback leadership style Ryan uses with his team. There is subtle banter and a warm camaraderie between them that enhances their loyalty and commitment. There is a sweet romance between Ryan and his administrative assistant Siobhan that adds another dimension to the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this cleverly crafted story and recommend it to all lovers of mystery and crime fiction.

Unlike many of the other reviewers, I thought this was a Zombie story. Surprised? Yes. Disappointed? No. This story captured my attention from the very start and once I encountered the zombies, I understood why the co-authors used this title. This is my first book by this husband and wife team and I found that it flowed well between the scenes and character points of view. There are several sub-plots taking place and the authors do a wonderful job at bringing them all together at the end. I'd recommend this book to anyone wanting to read a suspenseful crime novel...the message here is that crime doesn't pay especially if you try to cross both a Chicago mob boss and a hispanic drug lord at the same time.

Ryan and his team are settling in after their recent investigation into his best friend's murder. It is back to business as usual when Ryan and Siobhan begin a case of drug thefts at the nearby hospital. The security system is totally unreliable but they are still able to come up with a few suspects. When the some jewelry robberies are discovered and it appears a Flash mob dressed as zombies is being as a distraction, things get really interesting. One of their suspects in the hospital thefts owns a business called Flash Zombies. What are the chances these two are not related? With an intriguing blend of drug gangs, the Italian mob, gambling debts and twins, and some budding romance, the pages just keep turning.
