The reveal of Wilhem’s “past” abuser I didn’t see coming and I give the writer props for the plot twist. But we’re on book 4 of an 8 part series and there’s been zero progression of the romance 🫠 I want more angst and action between the leads.
I can also appreciate Wilhem trying to help Reinhardt with his scheming but also I hate that he’s with or is seducing and ow to do it 🫠

omg wtf happened? This should’ve ended at season 1 when Michel died because I don’t know what I just read. It seems the author just threw a bunch of traumatic scenes together and forced this over the top toxic storyline when the initial trauma the characters had seemed to be improving after they got their revenge.
The entire drama with Rein ignoring Wil for years and literally keeping his child away from him was so disgusting. I literally couldn’t stand Rein at all. Her obsession with Dietrich was too much, like girl at this point just marry Dietrich or something. That’s all she talked about? I understood why Wil was so annoyed. He was literally a victim in both of his lives and the woman he loved, who used him as a pawn, kept pushing him away after she practically groomed him into doing things for her.
I was practically forcing myself to finish this just because I invested so much time into this story. I literally don’t even know what was happening, it felt like two different stories after Wil became the prince. The scene when Wil was basically forcing himself on her was so unnecessary and weird. Very disappointing follow-up…I still liked Wilhelm though. I felt majority of his actions were justified and he was the biggest victim in this story. Rein should’ve offed herself fully and Wilhelm should’ve took his son and found a nice woman to start his new life with imo.
Why did the authors make the MC and ML (mostly him) so dirty???!!! Everything was going well until they get their revenge (it wasn't how I expected) and their bond became a bunch of unjustified toxicity and misunderstandings due to poor communication (a trope I hate) and their actions started to be WORSE than I imagined.

The fmc had absolutely no emotional maturity. What do you mean you abandoned your son just cos he looked like his father in which you hate? No one told you to sleep with him.
Your ex's not a good person either, cos neither did he take care of his own son but left him to his own squire. Poor baby boy grew up without seeing his parents, constantly asking where is his mother. This story isn't about an emotional reunion between two broken characters but just a narcissist clown show between two fools who screwed up an innocent being's life cos of their reckless mistake and being too much of cowards to take accountability.

This series is pretty fun, I've only read what has come out on comic plus, so I've had to stop here, but I have a feeling either the main guy killed her friend, or the friend is still alive and just has to recover enough to come back. idk either way the main guy seems super creepers, and I DON'T want them to get together even if the friend has really died!

Just when you think there is another victim of circumstance, you learn they are truly awful schemers! This volume continues to build up tension and the story continues to lead you by the hand through a waltz of revenge, intrigue, and romance.
