JATORIA DONT MISS.... That ending had me wideeee open. Mason was definitely certified in the head but he worshipped the ground Tylee walked on....so ready for book 2

Just finished reading this book, and WOW.
Let me just say, Mr. Mason was completely unhinged and I LOVED every second of it. His unpredictable nature had me hooked like, I kept thinking, “How far is he willing to go??” Spoiler: way further than I expected.
But y’all… that cliffhanger?? I’m sitting here STUCK. My brain is spinning with all the possibilities of what could happen next. How am I supposed to function after THAT ending?
If you need a book to completely wreck you in the best way, this is it. Somebody please read it so we can scream about it together I need part 2 ASAP 😩😮💨🔥

Head full of loose screws!
Mason and Tylee have been best friends since middle school and have always maintained just a friendship despite the very unfriendly feelings they have for each other. One day they decided to become each other's first, and the romantic feelings bubbled to the surface. Deciding to take the leap, they were ready to be all in with each other until an outside force tore them apart. Years later they're once again just friends, but Mason has just been biding his time. This book was so entertaining I didn't think I would ever come across another MMC as unwell as Ocean, but Mason said, "Hold my beer," because this man was a nut! The way he didn't play not one single game about Tylee and would unalive anyone—and I do mean anyone—that said anything to her was insane. Mason's love for Tylee was so all-consuming that there was no boundary he didn't cross. Unfortunately, for Tylee, that also meant that her wishes regarding being with him didn't really matter. I could not stop reading because I had to know what would happen next. Book two me now, please!

Deliciously Devious & Dangerous
I don't think people realize how hard it is to do a deeply unhinged unserious MMC but still keep the plot and characters strong and the romance interesting in a grounded way. That's a tough line to balance. Usually unserious unhinged MMCs become a caricature and the action starts to feel more and more outlandish and the romance feels elementary or juvenile but baybee nah, we don't have any of that here.
What we do have:
“Murder, murder, murder, kill, kill going through a nigga mind when im loading up them AR rounds….”
🧐 The author became a favorite based on this series because she puts these dark delicious bites with believability.
"Dear God. How the fuck could I not see how insane in the head this crazy motherfucker is?"
🧐I love dark romance, and the MMC fits the bill to a T. He was crazy and had a few screws loose over his, and that OTT obsession is my kryptonite and I gobbled this up. Who doesn't want a man who realizes he can't have you yet so he sits in the friend zone while you date around, murking any man who gets too close to you quietly, buying a cometary in your honor and namesake, and makes sure you eat during the day because he knows you like to skip meals when busy. Swoon! How can you not want a man like this

🧐I loved how the conflicts were handled and how the characters were allowed to shine. Mason said he doesn't see problems he sees solutions and if it involves his Hoodoo granny who can invoke spirts and binding spells why not use your resources. We love a king who cares about family.
"Nobody in this world would keep me and Tylee apart. She was the sun, and I was the moon. She was the light, and I was the dark. She was the good, and I was the bad. Yin needs Yang to have balance, or the world will be damned."
🧐 Don't go feeling sad about Tylee she has problems too, because why she wear her not really fiancée's engagement ring around Mason when she knows that man is unhinged. I'm convinced the first 50% was foreplay for Ty

I love a good unhinged man but this here was a bit much. I can deal with a lil k*lling but a man eating his own c*m is where I draw the line.

I am not even sure how to describe what I am feeling after this read. I have encountered some male characters that were crazy, unhinged, obsessed even, but Mason was all that and more. How does that even happen? 👀 Mason has been in love with Tylee since he laid eyes on her in school, and they have been inseparable since. They had a love like no other, until there was interference that broke them apart. However, they stayed best friends, with their intense love lying beneath the surface. Tylee tried to move on with her life, but Mason was not having it! If a man even seemed like he would take Tylee away from him, he was going in the dirt! 🤯

Mason Neiman is sooo unhinged. I don't mean just regular crazy...I mean the kind of crazy that makes you a little scared. This man was dispatching all the guys that showed interest or disrepected Tylee (she didn't know). Tylee was loved his son like he was her own and dragged the boy's momma. This book was so messy and so good y'all. In order to love someone this unhinged...you have to be a little cuckoo too. And Tylee was!

This is a first read for me by Jatoria. This book was messy, sexy, and unhinged but I loved every part of it. Mason is in love with Tylee so much that he is willing to do anything for her, and murder is not off the table. Jatoria takes you on a ride that has you holding on to your seat for dear life.

I really wanted to like this but I really just didn’t
There isn’t much I liked about this book. The pacing was off, there was very little plot, and zero character development.
Mason and Tylee fall in love as teenagers…because they do. Not much there, but they quickly break up when Tylee’s mom asks Mason to give her some time on the right side of the law. Except they spend the next decade nearly as next door neighbors who both hook up with other people?
Mason is rich and comes from a family of car thieves. Allegedly, there are heists involved, but I have to say heists are supposed to be fun and clever, and the only “heist” in this book was stealing a car from a repair shop after shooting the employees. Added all of nothing to the book, except that Mason was waiting for his last heist before getting with Tylee. Because plot.
Anyway, Tylee gets almost engaged to her non-Mason boyfriend, which sets Mason off. Naturally, he murders the boyfriend and tells Tylee he’s murdered all of the boyfriends she’s ever had. Considering Mason literally has a child with another woman, I cry bull there, but whatever.
Mason evades the law despite being the most painfully obvious culprit, and then Tylee just very casually decides she’s okay being a serial killer. But not until after venting her rage by feeding him something he’s deathly allergic to because she’s mad.
I just…why? The characters don’t feel real. I had no investment in any of them, and the plot that barely existed was poorly executed. If this book wasn’t so short, I would have DNF’ed it. To add insult to injury, there’s a sequel because Tylee gets kidnapped out of nowhere by a wannabe lady lover? Who I think sold her the house she lives in? That came out of nowhere, but I’m done so thank god.
One last thing: the word nutting in every spicy scene gave me the ick so bad, but that one’s a personal problem.

ANY book I read in a day in 5 stars! This is not my first time reading a book by this author. My Jatoria C, just doest’t disappoint! I love the unhinged men she creates! Even though some of the things they do be morally wrong and just BATSHIT crazy.. I still love the man! Mason is definitely that man! I love how he loves and cares for Tylee! He always took care of her regardless of their status. Even when he was made he still cared for her! Even when Tylee wasn’t always deserving, he cared for her. Ughh to have a man as such!

Jatoria is one of my favorite authors and she never misses. This book follows Mason and Tylee who are high school sweethearts and back to friends . Mason is in love with Tylee and is desperate to make her his again . This is friends to lovers , dark urban romance. Mason is unhinged with BDE and will stop at nothing have Tylee . Spectacular read.

This book was going great until smack dab in the middle when it took a turn for the WTF!!!! Like, I almost felt like the book transitioned into a Paranormal Romance. It was weird and it threw me off of the writing.
The writing was good but this author wrote the spice scenes as if she had to meet a requirement and just did it. They were nasty but generic.

WTH did I just read?! 😭 Mason was crazyyyyyy like unhinged is an understatement when it comes to him! This man screws were loose from the very beginning 😭! The cemetery really did it for me 😩😭 & the fact that I really enjoyed all his unhinged craziness is what gets me 😭 I can’t wait to get into book 2!

I just want to say thank you to Jatoria C. For giving me the arc. This book is a dark Urban romance book. Mason was unhinged and his actions had me questioning some things morally lol. I loved that Tylee matched this energy throughout the book. I loved the bond she had with Mason son. This book ends with a cliffhanger and I look forward to reading the second book in this series.

Mason def is the king of OTT obsessive and possessive OMGGGG!! He don’t play about Tylee!!What an amazing wild ride for their love story!!! I can’t wait for book two!!

I Wasn’t Ready
Now I’ve heard about infatuations, stalkers etc, but Mason Neiman was different breed of them all.
From an early age this man was told he had a dark energy and in time it will surface! Boy did it surface. When you love someone the way he loved Tylee no one is safe!
Tylee mom was wrong for saying the thing she said to him. They should have been able to bump their heads and learn for the experience. But being the unhinged man that he is, I respected him for respecting her wishes.
Mason, had no issue with taking care of those who has done wrong by Tylee or those that liked or loved her that wasn’t family. Not only did he send them to the upper room, this man purchased a cemetery to place the remains. Who does that? Oh let’s not forget the name of the cemetery! That there had me speechless. No one whoever had a chance, dated or experience her on the adult level can no longer say they even knew her and the man made sure of that! He made it clear that he will be the only one to say he has or had her.
The granny and the spell though!!!! I have no words lol
Now I can keep going but there’s so much more to be revealed, but that cousin Sly has me upset right now! Then Brandi, she loving Tylee… Oh I can’t wait for Part 2!
