Scoring with the Wrong Twin

Rate this book
I'm hot for one twin and hate the other. After the wildest hookup ever, I'm praying it was with the right one.

The Ice twins are our small town's claim to fame.
Blake the safe, husband-material NHL star who could be my best friend.
Blaze the league's cocky, hot-headed bad boy who drives me crazy—and not in a good way.

Rival identical twins on rival hockey teams.

When a hottie rescues me from becoming a snake snack, coming at me on a black horse like in a movie,
I end up naked on a blanket by the lake.
Those massive hands, that skilled mouth, that perfect body moving against mine.

One morning, he's teaching me to saddle horses, all sweet and patient.
That afternoon, he emerges from the pool like a wet dream come true and impulsively kisses me senseless,
his dripping muscular body making me... well, wet.

How can the same man be so different? Unless... there's two of them.

Have I hooked up with the wrong twin?

At the charity gala, he teaches me Bachata, his hard body pressed against mine.
Each sensual roll has me wondering if he's dancing or taking me right there on the floor.
His Spanish whispers promise filthy things that make me ache, and my body remembers that afternoon by the lake.

I'm falling hard. For the twin I should—or the one I shouldn't?

DNF. Read to chapter 22.
I really like the idea of this book as described in the synopsis, but the plot was all over the place and the main female character completely unlikeable.

Scoring with the Wrong Twin

What an exciting story. Fun, flirty, keeping you on your toes and not expecting to see any of the new stuff coming along the way. When you suddenly realize you have been possibly not with the person you thought, what all is going through your mind. Definitely not what you were expecting, but those are the best surprises,. Enjoy, learning from your own experiences and being able to see what’s coming your way. Loved this story.

This is my first Livvy Stone book and it won’t be the last!!
I am a sucker for a hockey romance and a cowboy romance but to get a two in one whew 🫠 🔥!! Savanah has a hard time telling Blake and Blaze apart.
Blaze is protective and dominant and hot as hell.
Savanah is strong, stubborn , and feisty.
I loved the banter in this book..

Um what was the mention of his strong Catholic faith at 65% of the book? There was a mention of another woman possibly being pregnant with his child and now he has strong religion and will marry her so the child isn't out of wedlock. It was not the story for me. The pacing was odd as were all the side stories, Delaney missing, Dane and the casino, "The Bruiser" stalker, etc. It was too much.

Savannah visits her best friend and business partner, Aubrey, at the Ice Ranch and Resort Airbnb. The ladies own Pinnacle marketing agency, and they agree to meet at the ranch to run a festival campaign for Aubrey’s husband’s family ranch, the Ice Ranch. The ranch is aptly named because the family’s last name is Ice, and two of the sons play professional hockey within the NHL. The sons are Blake and Blaze, twin hotties that are cowboys helping at the family ranch when not playing hockey. Savannah is out of her element at the ranch in her designer shoes, clothes, and bags. Savannah has history with both of the twins. Blake is the good guy who follows all the rules. Blaze has made a trash can fire out of his life and is now trying to pick up the pieces and get his life back on track. While Savannah had a good relationship with Blake, she has off the chart chemistry with Blaze. Savannah shares an intimate afternoon with Blaze, but she thought it was Blake. “It’s intimate…primal…like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Next thing she knows, she is in a fake engagement. But with which twin?

This book was fast paced, had interesting characters, a great plot, and good world building, I enjoyed the story, the beauty of the ranch locale, the closeness of the large family, and the ability of love to conquer all. I recommend this book for readers who enjoy mistaken identity, cowboy, hockey romance stories.

In true Livvy fashion this book is full of romance, spice, a touch of drama, a storyline that draws you in and keeps you entertained. The second book is the Ice Chronicles Hockey series, it was a great read.

Savannah has known this family for some time. She understands the rivalry between twin brothers Blake and Blaze, being best friends with one and never getting along with the other. Once she could tell them apart by just looking, but that skill has faded as their relationships have. When she is in need of one of the brother’s help, will she end up asking the right one or will a mistaken identity lead to her downfall?

Blake and Blaze are twins, but complete opposites. They grew up as rivals and that continued onto the ice as they play for rival hockey teams now. I loved reading about their individual relationships with Savannah and their family dynamics. Blake is the boy next door and Blaze is the troubled bad boy. Both have chemistry with Savannah, but whose is the one that is blazing throughout the story?
Livvy writes a story that takes mistaken identity to a new level, because they are identical twins.

The story is full of redemption, heart, and family intrigue; but stays true to LIvvy’s beloved romance and spice. I loved reading this book and can’t wait for more in this series!

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Wow, oh wow! What a great story that I'm sure you're going to enjoy as much as I did. Livvy Stone has delivered a great read filled with romance in a sports related theme. After all, the Ice family are all about hockey. In addition to romance & sports, there's also other tropes such as wealthy, family drama, strong family support, drama, abusive behavior, stalker, suspense, etc. to fill your reading pleasure.

Savannah Hart's character proves that she is a strong female lead. She's also a beautiful woman with 4 men showing interest in her. Oh, what a decision to make!

The Ice family are awesome! Who wouldn't want to have a family like this one?

I want to share more about the contents of this book, but won't at this time as it would spoil your reading experience. This is book 2 in this series, but is good to read as a stand alone. (I say that because I haven't read volume 1 yet, but don't worry, it is definitely on my To-Be-Read list now.) I highly encourage you to read this book now. Right now it is free in Kindle Unlimited or $0.99 to buy the eBook.

Although I received an advance copy for review, all opinions are my own. In fact I’ve become a fan of this author and look forward to reading more of her works. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did!

Blake Ice vs Blaze Ice

This is a fun, flirty and romantic story. Full of drama, humor, secrets, confessions, twists, romance with spice and great chemistry between the main characters. This is one ice hockey romance you won't want to put down once you start reading as you can't help falling in love with the characters despite their flaws.

Savannah is Aubrey's friend and business partner (Scoring with My Baby Daddy) and is visiting Cedar Creek to help her out. When she's saved by a man on a black horse things heat up by a lake. But after starting riding lessons with him she starts to see two sides to the man she might be falling for.

Blake likes to follow the rules and is building a good relationship with Savannah, but his twin Blaze has a crash and burn attitude which he's trying to repair and get back in order. With him Savannah discovers a new side to herself. Before she knows it, she's agreed to a fake engagement, to help a man she might be falling for, but she's not entirely sure which twin it might be with.

"Scoring with the Wrong Twin: An Enemies to Lovers' Fake Fiancé Romance", you're in for a sexy rollercoaster ride!
From the very beginning, I was hooked by Savannah and Blaze's witty banter and palpable tension. During their intimate moments, their undeniable attraction and banter was very entertaining. Livvy did a fantastic job capturing the complexity of Blaze and Savannahs relationship as they navigated their feelings amid the chaos of mistaken identity and the drama that unfolds.

In some sections the plot lost its way a little bit for me, the pacing felt uneven. The rivalry between Blake and Blaze could have been explored more deeply. I also thought the mistaken identity section flew by very quickly. A little more on page scenes of the conflict could ramp up the tension and make their eventual resolution even more satisfying.

Overall, this is a sexy escape filled with scorching hot moments, and a sprinkle of drama. Add to your TBR right now!.

This is hot as sin , it’s also an awesome romance with all the angst and second chance splendour of Livvy Stone. Blake is the NHL star friend . Blaze on the other hand is fire ,apt name . He knows it too ,cocky as heck and drives her crazy. The bad ass! She thinks he’s crass and up his own ass lazy. They’re rival twins on rival teams . Savannah is surprised when she doesn’t recognise her mate . He has a twin and she used to be able to tell them apart but not now anyhow. She was best friends with one and couldn’t get on with the other brother. When she decides to ask her mate a favour as she needs a fake date ,is he a mate ? Well he’s that convincing is our boy Blaze that he’s done a switch with his bro Blake. It’s a mistake but turns out to be heavenly ,the writing is good . Well cmon look who wrote it . Livvy Stone is one on her own ,she brings the heat as well as the cute meet and sweet when she feels it rewards and this book warrants awards! It’s that good . Loved every minute of it,every page. Wonderful storytelling

SCORING WITH THE WRONG TWIN is the second book in the Ice Chronicles Hockey series by Livvy Stone and I can’t wait for more. Hockey, the family ranch, family and friends all play significant roles in this book.

I loved reuniting with characters we’ve met before but this is Blaze and Savannah’s story and they are front and center throughout. But is he really the wrong twin? There is definitely heat between them and she challenges him every step of the way. But neither is looking for a relationship and there are some barriers in their way.

There are multiple stories being told and a few have some darkness to them. There are some secrets along with miscommunication. There is a lot of steam but also over the top romantic moments. There are vivid descriptions and a good flow to the story with some unexpected moments. There is closure and a nicely crafted happily ever after but an epilogue would have been the icing on the cake.

Livvy Stone has quickly become one of my fav authors. Their writing style, attention to detail and those open door scenes are smokin hot!

I loved the confusion earlier in the book and took the right amount of time for Savannah to put two and two together to find there are almost identical twin Ice gods (Blaze and Blake). I also loved how Blaze swooped in to save Savannah but also recognized she’s fierce and can save herself. It was so sweet when Blaze pulled out all the stops for a date night with Sav. I loved the integrity Sav has for her business and how she got away from a tough situation even thought it eventually follows her and the Ice family help deal with it.

I really loved this book! As a bonus you catch glimpses of Sean & Aubrey (from Scoring with My Baby Daddy). I truly loved both books in this series and can’t wait to see who is the next Ice family member to find their special one.

Scoring with the wrong twin is the first book that I've read in the Ice Chronicles series but I intend to get my hands on book 1 (Aubrey and Sean's book) soon.

Back to this book which focuses on Savannah (Aubrey's friend and business partner) who is in Cedar Creek helping Aubrey out. Only whilst she's there she gets entangled in between hockey player twin brothers - Blaze and Blake. One bad boy twin - Blaze (who seems to clash with Savannah) and a quiet & safe twin - Blake (who Savannah is interested in). Things don't go according to plan with Savannah and she gets involved with the wrong twin. Although Blaze is much more than the facade that he puts out especially in regards to his twin brother the both of which have this undercurrent of competitiveness between them.

I loved the dynamic Blaze had with Savannah. It was endearing and heartwarming too. A great read with characters I really loved.

Savannah aka Sav is arriving to help her friend and business partner, Aubrey, with a festival. She knows that the "Ice" family has three Professional hockey players with one, Sean, now retired and married to Aubrey plus one brother who plays hockey in college. While the other two brothers play on different teams; what doesn't she know beside that those two are twins? Blaze on the Colorado Destroyers was suspended for what? Blake plays for the Chicago Blizzards. Savannah doesn't know that Blaze is arriving at the Ice Ranch & Resort since he has been in rehab. When Blaze rescues her while our riding, She thinks it's Blake. They spend some intimate time together; when she sees Blake, he doesn't mention anything about more time together. Sav is confused. One things she learns is that Blaze and Blake doesn't get along. Follow the confusion with laughs and tears to the truth. Drama with fun!.

This is the first book I've read by Livvy Stone and I can say it did NOT disappoint!! I loved the playful banter between Savanah and Blaze and literally LOL'd a few times while reading. MMC's like Blaze with his affection/protection/overwhelming love for the FMC is really what fantasies are made of. I would love to be scooped for an impromptu 'date'/trip with all the bells and whistles. One thing that threw me off was the random mentioning of the conflict between the other family, nothing came from it, unless it's setting the stage for future books?!? Overall loved it and the spice/smut was fabulous and plentiful without taking away from the plot!!

I loved Savannah's character from "Scoring with my Baby Daddy", and I was excited to dive into her story.

I appreciated having chapters for bother Blake and Blaze, consider their twin-ness and the parts they both play in this story. And the scene where Savannah realises Blake and Blaze are identical twins is pretty hilarious!

There are a few deeper topics through this story as well, and I appreciated how the grit of rehab, and recovery weren't downplayed through the story.

A lot of great scenes made this a really fund book, but some topics may be difficult for certain readers, so please check content warnings.

Otherwise, and fabulous spicy read...

I absolutely loved this story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was so intense. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Savannah and Blaze's witty banter were physical attraction to one another it was spicy hot. They couldn’t resist or fight the temptation any longer and it was captivating romance ever. Lives as we know it was about to change forever like fireworks as the sparks had ignited between them in a moment of dreams and passion.
I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones

Blonde highlights of the year!

Savannah is a P R genius working along side her partner Aubrey Ice. They have the festival at Ice Ranch to put together without a hitch and well... Famous last words lol. Blake and Blaze Ice twin brothers total opposites are both home at Ice Ranch to play their parts in the festivities. So let's just say up until it all but slaps her upside the head, our leading lady only had eyes for the Ice brother. Let's throw in some crazy drama from the locals and some disgruntled ex's of all kinds and you have one steamy story that won't quit. You'll laugh, cringe and blush. It's a great read

This is a new to me author so I started by going back to the first book in the series. Both books are full of inconsistencies that should have been caught by a proof reader. Things like; they are drinking iced tea but then it’s coffee, they are in a gazebo but it’s a warehouse before it’s a gazebo again. If you are like me and can skip over such things with only minor irritation, it is a really good story and I laughed quietly to myself a lot. I loved the characters and the mistaken identity (Blake/Blaze and Margot/Savannah). It is a very interesting story and now I really want Blake’s book hopefully without all the inconsistencies.

The Ice legend continues with the bad boy, Blaze. Pulling himself together after a brutal period in his life that leads him into rehab, Blaze returns home to Ice Ranch. Savannah is helping Aubrey promote the Ice festival. Having met both of the twin hockey brothers, Blake the quiet, charming golden boy and Blaze the “human storm cloud”, Savannah finds herself struggling to tell them apart. Mistakenly thinking Blaze was Blake sets in motion events that truly leads Savannah into trouble. Loved it.

Whew! Lots of back and forth action in this one so don’t sit down with a bottle of wine or you will be thoroughly confused! As a twin myself, there is so much expectation by everyone around you to act a certain way. I love that the author made Blaze be just who he is and making him own his choices. Savannah sounds like a determined woman who isn’t going to let any man disappoint her again. I enjoyed the back and forth between them and the family dynamics with his family as well. A full length story that deserves to be read over and over!

This book is really good! Blaze and Blake are twin brothers who play in the NHL but on different teams. Savannah and Audrey, who is the sister to the twins, own and operate a marketing firm. Savannah doesn’t like Blaze at all but has a crush on Blake. Savannah and Audrey are planning a festival for town so they are staying at the Ice Ranch. Blaze saves Audrey from getting snake bitten. Blaze and Savannah have a very hot relationship until she finds out it’s with Blaze instead Blake. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Great story!

Blaze Ice is a professional hockey player. His girlfriend left him high and dry when Blaze did not make the local team. He went to another team and turned angry, drank, was mean. Finally therapy was his answer . So he went home to the Ice Ranch and made love to a woman he thought was a movie star. And the woman was Savannah, Blazes sister in laws best friend and PR person. Savannah thought he was Blake, his twin brother. Wow, it was wild for a time. This is a must read book.

Double trouble

Savanah as part of her PR business meets up with her partner to help with a client during a planned charity events. She was attracted to Blake Ice and was hoping to see him again at his family ranch. She however didn't care for his identical twin Blaze. An Savanah also tries to hide from a former client. This definitely will drag you in and keep you gripped by the seat of your pants.

A very enjoyable read that kept my attention to the very end, I was captivated by the scenery and the plot, the whole confusion with the twins was brilliant. This book contained great characters, not entirely perfect but real with real life struggles, plenty of heat, good family dynamics and witty banter. Savannah and Blaze or was it Blake? Were great MCs. Look forward to the next one.
