This book was a helpful overview as I am studying for the NCMHCE; however, it is repetitive and doesn't cover everything you think it would especially diagnoses, theories, and treatment planning. I found it helpful to listen as a supplement but I would not rely on this book to prepare me for the exam.
Also, the reader of the audiobook has some distinct mistakes in pronunciation that are surprising, including mispronunciations of the words transference, heritability, and context. After a while, it got distracting.
I enjoyed the book despite how monotonous studying can be at times. I feel like I learned a lot and was able to answer most of the questions at the end of the book. I would recommend for people who are auditory students and learn that way. I am hoping it will be what I need to pass.
