I knew better than to take my best friend's little sister's virginity at that Halloween party.

But in my defense, I didn't know how to say no. Or maybe I simply didn't want to.

She was my Cinderella and I was her masked villain.

Then I ruined everything. Twice.

Years later we're undeniably enemies, our hate for each other legendary.

Except I haven't been able to stop thinking about her. Or that night.

Only now she works for me in the hospital where she's a medical student and I'm an attending physician. Not to mention, without realizing it, I bought the apartment next to hers.

We try to keep things professional but when she learns the truth behind the secrets I've been keeping, angry sparks explode into a raging inferno of scorching touches and burning passion.

I know I have to keep my distance. She's all wrong for me. Too young. Too bratty. Too dangerous to the life I've worked tirelessly to rebuild. The one being with her would destroy.

The problem is, I've never wanted anyone more. And I don't know how to stay away for long.

Especially when I discover I'm not the only one keeping secrets.

Undeniably Enemies by J. Saman

5/5 stars

Undeniably Enemies the fifth book in the incredibly addictive Boston's Irresistible Billionaires series. And goodness gracious, J. Saman stole my entire heart again while I was reading this magnificent book. She is by far one of the best erotic romance writers out there. The way she pulls me into the love scenes is just top notch and bloody, bloody brilliant and so addictive. It's like I feel all those touches and lust reverberate through my own bones. So if you haven't read any of her books yet, please do! You won't be disappointed.

In this book we follow the story of Jack and Wren. Jack is an ER doctor and was about to propose to his girlfriend when he found out she cheated on him. He just helped a famous hollywood producer in the hospital and took his invitation to go to a high end hollywood party. It's a masked ball and when he sips a drink called 'Till Death Do Us Part' an incredibly hot woman approaches him. They instantly share a fiery hot connection and before they know it they make out and he slips into her. The connection is so powerful that he takes off her mask, wanting to know who captured his heart, and is instantly shocked. He is inside of his best friend Owen's little sister Wren. He instantly regrets it, but is unable to stop what they are doing. The chemistry burns through them both as they chase their highs.

But right after Jack pushes her away with harsh words and creates a gigantic distance between them. And from that second onwards their hatred for one another is born. Undeniably Enemies is a delicious enemies to lovers story with so much chemistry. It burns through the pages and I couldn't read this book fast enough.

We skip five years and suddenly they cannot seem to escape each other. Wren is an intern in Jack's ER and they constantly bump into each other. Unbeknownst to the both of them, they end up living in side by side apartments. And when Wren finds an unknown number in her phone things come to an all time high. They literally cannot escape one another. And the lust that simmers between them overpowers them and they cannot stop flirting and taunting the other one.

I just love, love, love their chemistry. A certain scene in an elevator made my insides tingle. But this is not just a book about chemistry and intimate scenes. It's also a book about two people who actually see each other. I love how protective they are of each other. And I love Jack for his drive and ability to help Wren go through her trauma and heal herself while facing it with him by her side.

Her brattiness was one of the highlights of the book. And Jack's instant reaction to each interaction made my heart jump with joy.

This quote just encompasses their essence and souls:

"Not in a million years did I think you'd be mine."
"Who says I am?"
A smile spreads across his lips, and he swats my ass. "Fucking brat." He lands a hard kiss on my lips."Who said I was giving you a choice?"

Absolutely loved this book. I recommend it with all my heart.

5 huge stars from me for Jack and Wren. ♥ Love them to pieces.

Well, this one was a rough start for me, I won't lie. Enemies to Lovers in Contemporary Romance has become more and more of a stretch for me these days, as it's often difficult for me to buy true hate in these type of books. And "Enemies" is even in this title. However, they reason for the hate makes sense and then watching them fight their attraction and watching it give way too more was done really well.

I think the first interaction at the Halloween party was a reaaalllll stretch for me. It felt very out of place, but I'm willing to jump a shark now and then, and the way everything fell apart for them that night, it did make me believe they would have an almost irrational disdain for one another. Out of self preservation, at least.

I loved their interactions at work, as I loved being back in the hospital for most of this book. That's something I love about this series. The "doctoring", haha! Watching Jack and Wren fight their attraction there was great!

I also loved Wren's family and how her family has always loved Jack, her brother's Best Friend. Oh, and by the way, Wren's brother is married to Jack's sister, so the shoe's on the other foot for Jack now. Haha!

And when things get spicy... well, J. Saman knows how to make that sizzle!

Dual Narrated by Teddy Hamilton & Samantha Brentmoor, and they did a wonderful job, as always. I think Teddy always plays a good "enemy" voice. Haha! Like that cocky kind of character, ya know?

One thing is for sure - "Undeniably Enemies" is my all-time favorite from the series.

We all know what happened at the end of Mason's book, but now we have the chance to see the full story. The beginning of their love was definitely spicy, but understandably these two needed time apart, so their main story begins.

We do have some time passing between them and now, but even though all that distance, it doesn't make them want each other less. On the outside, it looks like Wren and Jack hate each other. Or at least they think so. They literally couldn't stand each other's presence. The thing is that Wren loved Jack for most of her life and when they hooked up 5 years ago she thought he was the one and that they would finally have a chance to be together. But because of him panicking and not wanting to cause his best friend pain, he acted like an a*hole.

Now we are back to the present. She was going to be an intern, and he was going to be her boss. Even if they don't want it, they have to interact with each other. The other thing is that they were about to be neighbors. This is where the real fun begins...

I honestly love everything about Jack and Wren. He was a down-to-earth man, and he wasn't born with money like his friends. Everything he has achieved in life, he has done it himself, and he deserves everything good that will happen to him. Wren is the one thing he can't have and he can't stop wanting her. At one point, he realizes that they actually have the chance to be together and everything else can be damned.

Wren was just the perfect heroine for me. She may be from the Fritz family, but she wasn't relying on her family reputation. She wanted to prove that she was good at her job without the Fritz name. She hated what happened after her and Jack's spicy moments and swore that she would never allow him to hurt her again. This is why she had lots of resentment and hate towards him. After everything she's been through in her life, I think it's safe to say she basically didn't trust him. He had to prove to her that he wouldn't hurt her again and if she gave him her heart, he would keep it safe for forever. I am actually pleased that it took some time for them to get together, because I needed those angsty moments. I needed it because of Wren. She had to punish him for everything he'd done and his jealousy. But after that, she finally had the chance to fall in love with him all over and see that he had changed. To me, both of them deserved 100% to be together. This was their second chance in love ♥️.

I will definitely not miss talking about all of those spicy moments J. Saman delivered. Everything between those two is fire. The angst was making it even spicier. But the smut...OMG the smut was everything. I couldn't put my Kindle down reading those kinky and passionate scenes 🥵. Julie Saman knows how to write smut 🌶️🌶️🌶️.

This was the best enemies-to-lovers Julie Saman has ever written. Jack and Wren were truly explosive together. Their chemistry was off the charts. What I like about her books is that there is no such thing as a third act break up. As soon as the main leads got together, they stayed together.

Overall, I loved Wren and Jack's love story and I can't wait for the next book in the series ♥️.

Special thanks to the author for the provided ARC copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

🌶️🌶️🌶️

Jack and Wren have known each other for a long time and have been enemies for five years after a one night stand gone wrong. They hooked up at a Halloween party where they were both wearing masks. Jack panicked when he realized he took his best friend's little sisters virginity and doesn't handle it well.

They have spent years ignoring and hating on each other, but now Jack is Wren's boss at the hospital, and he also just became her neighbor. They keep clashing in their personal life and are forced to finally acknowledge their sexual attraction. There is a lot of banter, tension, and some spicy hate banging.

I did have some issues with the heroine, though, because she didn't really have a reason to hate him. She acted pretty immature and hateful, all because he felt guilty having sex with his best friend's sister. To be that petty and hate someone that much was a little OTT. The hate in this was one-sided, and it irritated me how she always picked fights with him every time they were together.

They had great chemistry, and I loved the way Jack helped her deal with her trauma from her previous attack.

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧
I was so excited to see this book would have two of my favorite narrators, Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor. They both did a great job bringing the banter and chemistry. The only thing that would make this better was if it had duet narration. I really wanted to hear Teddy Hamilton do the dirty talk during the heroine's chapters. I still highly recommend the audiobooks.

Thank you to Valentine PR for providing the ALC.

*Tropes listed at bottom [There are a lot]

This is your straight forward Billionaire book, with a small twist that Wren is actually the Billionaire and Jack is a normal hard working Dr who doesnt have the same spending qualities as Wren. Jack and Wren have been in each others lives for a long time since Jack is Wren's older Brothers Best Friend. Wren always had a crush on Jack [Obviously] but in a surprising turn events years later at a party where their identities are masked, Jack and Wren have some fun and someones V-Card is punched. There was obviously a miscommunication and the situation was handled badly....So enter ENEMIES TO LOVES trope.

Eventually they get through it and the spice hits, and boy does Jack have a mouth on him. Gained a whole pepper in spice simply for his mouth. Jack and Wren are good for each other, Jack helps Wren deal with her Trauma and Wren gives Jack a purpose. Her snark can be a bit much at times, but Jack's mouth makes up for it

This book is giving all the Grey’s Anatomy McSteamy vibes and I am so here for it! I’m pretty sure Wren & Jack just became one of my favorite couples ever. Their enemies to lovers dynamic was so unique and add best friend’s little sister trope? Double the points!

This is the fifth book in the Boston’s Irresistible Billionaire series, a second generation spin off from Boston’s Billionaire Bachelors & Irresistibly Yours series. The whole Fritz/Central Square world has me addicted! That said, you can totally read this as a standalone!

J. Saman writes the best swoon worthy, dirty mouthed MMCs and Jack just might be at the top of the list (though Zaxton & Stone are strong contenders). This book is fun, spicy, and also touches on some deeper trauma. The healing these two experience together was one of my favorite parts. And the way Jack loves Wren, without treating her like she’s fragile is everything.

Highly recommend this one! And check out the rest of the books in this series!

dnf at 9%

Guess I have the curse of the 9's LOL
This is my second dnf at 9% in one day!!

she's his best friend's little sister. He's 10 years older than her. He just caught his gf of two years who he was about to propose to her, fucking his boss. He sees her at a Halloween party. They're both wearing masks. They flirt. They want a ONS. She's a virgin. She doesn't tell him she is though. She removes her mask. He realises who she is. He panics. She tells him not to stop (coz you see she always had a crush on him and was half way in love with him). Begs him to go on. He does and regrets it soon enough. He breaks her heart.

ONE YEAR LATER.
He sees her at a bar flirting with a guy. He's drunk. The guy is an asshole and brags about wanting to fuck her in front of his friends... and her 🙄 (she doesn't react about that). Our MMC interfers. Saves her from the guy. They fight. Throw hateful jabs at each other. He asks her how many guys she slept with after him. She says I can sleep with as many men as I want (pretty classy 🤦‍♀️). Clearly he has been celibate for a year. They part un-amicably.

FOUR YEARS LATER.
And this is where I dnf'd. Too many time jumps. Too much drama in only 9% of the book. And this crush/infatuation/jealousy/anger/regret/distance/fucking around is really not for me.

Adios, muy buenas. NEXT!!!!!!!

J. Saman's "Undeniably Enemies" is SO GOOD. This is an age-gap and best-friends' younger sister forbidden romance featuring a close proximity/boss-and-employee dynamic later on in the story. There are a lot of tropes here, but they all coalesce into one cohesive, delicious story with tons of banter between these enemies-to-lovers. I absolutely loved the scandalous back-and-forth between Jack and Wren, who meet at a masked Halloween party and have a "torrid affair" after sharing a special (potentially magical????) cocktail, only to discover they actually know each other because she is his best friend's little sister! And they had s3x! OH NO WHAT WILL THEY DOOOOO!!? *evil grin* Even when they are fighting, Wren and Jack have insanely sizzling chemistry with one another. There is such a good dynamic between them. More than that, though, Wren and Jack feel like authentic, realistic people. Emotions frequently run high between the two of them. They fight, they f---, they love, they disagree, they forgive, they grow, they are in anguish... it all feels so realistic! Wren and Jack's growth as people solidifies this as a top-tier read for me. There is a vulnerability in both of them that gets explored both together and separately that I found engaging and endearing, even if it is briefly misplaced. AND THE SPICE. My goodness, the spice is off-the-charts good. Finally, Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor do an absolutely fantastic job with the dual narration of this book. This is one of the better audiobooks I have listened to recently. Their voices complement each other perfectly. I had such a blast listening to this book. Though this is the first novel by J. Saman that I have read, it certainly won't be the last. I loved her writing style, and I found a lot to enjoy in this story. I cannot wait to read more of her books!

Thank you to J. Saman and Valentine PR for the complimentary ALC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

❝ The story started when they were 20 & 30 years old, Wren and Jack hooked up in a masked party. Once Jack realized who she was, he broke her heart. From there, their relationship spirals into years of tension, bitterness, and emotional chaos. Fast-forward a few years, Wren ends up interning under Jack…

💭Okay, for real, I really didn’t like how things started. Jack? Total jerk. Like, unforgivably rude at first. I was so mad at him for the way he treated Wren after the party. But honestly, I get why things blew up between them. The drama felt justified. And I was living for how Wren didn’t let him walk all over her. She stood her ground, not afraid to clap back.

🔥Their love-hate dynamic? Absolute fire. The more they tried to deny their chemistry, the more it exploded in the best way. What I appreciated most is that the main “forbidden” vibe wasn’t even the whole “best friend’s sister” trope, after all, Owen did the same, talk about karma, LOL.

✅I’ve been loving this whole series, I have loved every single one of them. The medical drama angle gives it that Good Doctor-style drama I crave, so I’m all in. No doubt I’ll be checking out Julie’s other series after this.

🎧Now, let’s talk about the narrators because they seriously crushed it. Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor? Total dream team. I could listen to them for hours (and I did). Their chemistry, the banter, the tension (especially the steamy scenes) they nailed every single beat. No duet narration needed here, because both of them are so good at voicing both counterparts. Samantha especially blew me away, she gave every female character such a unique voice, it never got confusing. Bravo!

“Only a total masochist would fall for a woman who hates him so entirely.”

5 stars

Oh holy hotness, what a fantastic read! An enemies-to-lovers, brother’s-best-friend romance with all the chemistry, all the steam, all the feels, and a sweet, sexy, protective hero to die for. Jack and Wren’s story had me glued from start to finish, and I loved this book!

This is book #4 in the Boston’s Irresistible Billionaires series. There is a lot of character crossover with earlier couples in the series, as well as previous books by J. Saman. This is a second-gen series from several of Saman’s other series, and I have found it impossible to keep up with who is who, but it really doesn’t matter, I’m loving this series, and you can enjoy these books without all the background, and this one reads well as a standalone.

Wren and Jack have known each other for most of their lives. He is the best friend of her older brother, and she has loved him for as long as she can remember. One night they both find themselves at a masked Halloween party, and some intense flirting and banter leads to a hot hook-up. It’s Wren’s first time, and it’s not until they’re in the middle of it all when they realise who the other is. Despite their shock, they finish the deed, but their evening does not end well. Things deteriorate from there.

Five years later, and Wren is a fourth-year medical student on rotation in Jack’s ER. They have spent the last five years bitching and fighting with each other, so working together every day is wildly unpleasant. It gets even more awkward when they learn that they are neighbours, with Jack moving into the apartment right next to Wren’s. Their lives are tied together in all kinds of ways, and their anger and arguing only gets worse until all of that tension ignites into wild hate sex that rocks both of their worlds.

I can’t take this anymore. I can’t take the want. The weird yearning for the illicit.

There’s hate sex, and then there’s hate sex. This is the latter. They hate each other… more specifically, they hate that they want each other so badly. Their attraction to each other is undeniable, and neither of them want it, which creates all kinds of ragey feelings, and the chemistry is absolutely electric!

“I’ve tried to let you go so many times, but I can’t. I’m done with this bullshit. I’m done pretending I don’t want you every second of every minute of every hour of every day. I can’t let you go.”

They have some ups and downs as they wade through their difficult past and all of those years of intense emotion, but inevitably spending more time together and sharing such a sizzling attraction, everything begins to change for these two, and I was right there with them as they figure it all out.

“I never regretted you. It was everything else I didn’t know how to handle.”

God, I love these two together! Their animosity is so entertaining, the deep affection they have for each other is beautiful, and the sexy time is off the charts hot. They’re both a bit kinky, and they explore that in ALL the ways, and damn, this book is steamy.

But it’s the love story that captured me so completely. Once they start to actually talk to each other, they really talk. They’re open and honest, they’re sensible and functional, and they work through their issues, support each other through challenges, and share their feelings in the most beautiful way. Jack has already fallen so hard for Wren, and it’s an easy fall for her as she finally allows all of her old feelings to resurface stronger than ever, and I loved watching these two fall so hopelessly and completely for each other.

“It’s you, Wren. All this time, it’s been you … You own me. I want this. I want you. And I told you before, I’m tired of fighting it. I can’t fight it anymore.”
“You love me?”
“More than anything.”

There are some dramas that they have to deal with – firstly there is a ten-year age gap, then there’s Wren’s protective older brother, and the fact that they work with each other. I loved watching them work through it all, standing strong together and fighting hard for their HEA.

I loved seeing so much of the other characters from the series. The dynamics of this group are so much fun, and I loved seeing them all together. Keegan’s book is up next, and I’m so excited for that one.

I loved this story. It’s sexy and emotional, I loved the characters, and I love how I felt everything right alongside them. Saman always gets me so invested in her books, and this one was no different.

Such a great read - 5 stars.

This is Jack & Wren's story and it does not disappoint. It is full of angsty banter, witty, flirty text exchanges (my fave micro trope), amazing, blazing hot chemistry and of course, lots of secrets.
Julie Saman is an incredible story teller. She has this amazing ability to make the reader feel like they are right here, with her characters, feeling all the feelings.

Jack is so undeniably in love with Wren, and has been for a lot longer than he probably realized. but for reasons that make sense on paper, they could not be together. Unfortunately, the pain and hurt he left her in, has made Wren feel so much anger, resentment and hate towards him. for the last five years, they somehow have managed to keep significant distance ... until now... And whatever happened between them five years ago, is still scorching hot today!

Oh, and did i forget to mention that they love to read spicy books together!

I absolutely am loving this series and i can't wait for the next book. I just love how she keeps delivering strong, smart, formidable female characters.

Thoughts: A bit disappointed. I was very attracted to the idea of this book and I was excited to read it, however I think this book may not have been for me overall. I did enjoy aspects and it was fun and easy to read and I would definitely consider reading more from this author.

Plot: Our hero Jack goes to a Halloween part, kind of out of character for him. He meets a mysterious masked Cinderella and the two share a mystical love potion cocktail and share a night together, only it turns out to be his best friend's little sister and the two are undeniably enemies ever since. She now works at the same hospital as him and the two now have to navigate being around each other on a daily basis. I loved this concept and it was incredibly entertaining, I just wish some aspects had played out differently.

Characters/Romance: Main characters are Jack Kincaid and Wren Fritz. Not sure how to explain so I will just go for it, but for the most part it was kind of hard for me to read their interactions. I love enemies to lovers as much as the next girl, but some of the things they said and the constant insults and back and forth was a major turn off for me. And this lasts so long I think even over half way into the book. It was a very wash rinse repeat of taunting, him calling her a brat, her calling him an asshole followed by sexual innuendos. Maybe had they just exchanged barbed comments I would have been okay, but the insults was a little much for me. He insinuates she is a slut (he doesn’t mean it though) and during sex he calls her a bitch. The last one especially turned me off. I could not stand it.

The sex was incredibly well written, however I felt like there wasn’t enough romance to balance it out. Had a few sex scenes been replaced with in-depth page time of them doing something other than fighting or having sex I think I could have given this a 4.5 or a 5 despite the name calling, but there wasn’t. I did like what we got in terms of “fluff” but it was nowhere near enough for me to fully enjoy the book to it’s highest potential. I appreciated the lack of 3rd act breakup and how Wren stepped up for Jack that was really sweet. I hate being harsh because had things been a little different I would have loved this book and I wanted to love this book.

Writing: Good and enjoyable. I felt like it was an easy read and flowed well and I think if other couples have less of a harsh relationship I would love to read more of her books.

Content warning: Wren was attacked in her past and she suffers from this trauma on page with panic attacks. There is also work place sexual harassment from a superior as well as a patient. Also some harassment from a date she goes on. She also mentions being drugged at a party in college, I believe, but there was interference before it could go any further.

Steamy and sensational!

This was one hot and spicy read! The enemies to lovers trope was off the charts with plenty of snark, sass, stubbornness and sarcasm. I found the steam that arose from the intense tension between Jack and Wren sensational and loved watching their relationship evolve from hatred, to friendship, to happily ever after. Both characters were strong and fierce, having lived through past adversity, and I found their stories and journey equally heartbreaking and heartwarming. I absolutely love the Boston World and characters this author has created over a number of series, and this addition to the current series, 'Boston's Irresistible Billionaires', was perfect.

I was lucky to receive an early copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Yep, I’m hooked on J Saman books. Look the best way I can describe this book is if you watched Grey’s anatomy and loved Lexi and Mark’s relationship ( and you better have loved them) then you are going to love this book, because that’s the vibe that Jack and Wren give Off and I am here for it.

✨ Enemies to Lovers
✨ Doctor x Intern
✨ Neighbors to Lovers
✨ Age Gap
✨ Brother’s Best Friend

Look, emeries to lovers has to be done right for me to enjoy it, and Jack and Wren were peak enemies to lovers. They really shared each other as much as they wanted each other and the banter and push and pull between them was top tier.

I also really love watching Jack WORK for Wren to see him differently. Luckily he is both dirty and delicious and they made a great couple once they waded through their history.

This book is easy to binge and so so good.

"You're a walking contradiction and a total mind f**k."~Wren

"You mean other than the fact you're old, a crappy lay, and ugly."~Wren

"Still a b**ch, even after you come."~Jack

"We're helpless victims caught in each other's webs."~Jack

And those are only a few of the outrageous smack talking, put downs, the main couple Wren and Jack tell one another through out their love journey.😬🫢 **There are trigger warnings so be sure to check those out.** I don't know what this story was trying to do. I wanted to like it, I had high hopes, but mannn, Jack and Wren were a nightmare of a couple. This is just my opinion, of course. It was tough to read. It was too long. Too detailed with the many many characters of the billionaire Fritz family. Which was a bit tedious to remember and keep up with. It was a struggle to finish b/c I wasn't pulled into the story or their smart aleck bantering. I like fun bantering not let me insult you and treat you like trash banter.😑 I was bored. There was nothing cool about their relationship. Jack's a doctor, not part of the Fritz family, and he's Wren's boss as she interns trying to get her medical career going. She's the wealthy heiress. 5yrs ago, during a masked Halloween party in LA, Jack dressed as a vampire hooked up with Cinderella, aka Wren. Wren had never been with anyone and she had always had a crush on her older brother Owen's best friend, Jack Kincaid, so how interesting that that situation occured.🤔 And naturally, when they're both unmasked, Jack wasn't having it. She left brokenhearted.

Now the story stayed stuck in the endless chatter of Jack and Wren's endless thoughts of one another and how much they hated each other. Yup. Hated. And it stayed that way pretty much throughout. It got tiring. The world building kept spinning and not moving along. Now mind you, she's 25 and he's 35. They're both a hot mess and immature. They're adults, but they don't act like it. Bratty. Rude. Egotistical. Take your pick. It was confusing at one point about Wren's past. It was implied, eluded, that she had been SA. She had trauma, PTSD, OCD. But later... it wasn't. It almost was. Uhh. Okay. That seemed to have had importance at the end of the story and not before. I know Wren had therapy. But the triggers, that uncomfortable feeling, doesn't usually go away. Her comfort level was fine till almost the end. Jack said in a text message to her that he had heard about it. Where did that come from? Was that an editing mistake in the story? B/c I don't think if you're talking to a woman about that, would a man then proceed to start a conversation of s**ting with her and she would be onboard with it. Does that make sense. In fact, Wren was for that type of rough, out of your comfort zone interactions, including sending pictures after declaring we shouldn't, but in the next moment, we're doing it.🤦🏼‍♀️ I didn't get it. The safe word moment, I don't see how that seemed to have 'healed' her when she was having 'public adventures' not my words, that was how it was stated in the story, without truly breaking down before. With Jack she got her power back.🤷 That read weirdly somehow. If Jack can't go get a condom without her bolting, then maybe they shouldn't proceed with intimacy. Be responsible.🙄

This one didn't work for me. Jack and Wren were not likable. I wasn't convinced of this big love they had among the hate infused drama. If you want naughty talking spice that's here, but the emotional feelings, that got lost in translation. Something was missing. I think it was more physical than anything else. HEA. Sure.

The only character that stood out to me was Tyson. He needed more page time. He was a cool guy.⛹🏾‍♀️⛹🏾

If you want to give this book a spin, go for it. Maybe you'll like it. I do like the book cover. The one with 'Jack'. Happy reading.💚💚💚

Overall rating 2.5 rounded up to 3.

This book is FULL of banter, sexy texts, and undeniable chemistry. Jack and Wren are obviously attarcted to each other, but there's one little problem... they hate each other and she is his best friend's little sister and 10 years older than her.

There was a lot going on here, and if you haven't read the previous books in this series, you may be a little confused, as the Fritz family is mentioned and involved a lot. It was a little too long and I was honestly wondering if they were ever going to get together and how that was going to play out.

Overall, this was a fun, SPICY read. Not my favorite in the series but not the worst.

“Jesus. I just took my best friend’s little sister’s virginity. And I’m still inside her.”

“Oh, and just so you know, since you told me you think I’m scary hot. You’re f**king gorgeous. Makeup, no makeup, whatever.”

“If you were mine, Cinderella, I’d take you over my knee and spank your beautiful ass red for intentionally being a brat and disobeying me.”

“Sweetheart, the last thing I’m doing is judging. I’m too busy trying to decide if I want to tie you up and use them on you until you come so many times you pass out or sit back and watch you do it yourself.”

“I never regretted you. It was everything else I didn’t know how to handle.”

“You have been a lot of things to me over the years, Wren Fritz, but a game has never been one of them.”

“No one will ever give her what she needs the way I will. But in my head, I already know it’ll be that way for me too. It’ll always be Wren. And that’s what scares me the most.”

“I’ve tried to let you go so many times, but I can’t. I’m done with this bullshit. I’m done pretending I don’t want you every second of every minute of every hour of every day. I can’t let you go. Now let me take you home. Let me take care of you.”

“It’s already too late for me. Wren, I love you. I do. I’ve loved you for…” He trails off with a half-chuckle. “F**k, I think I’ve loved you since that night at the party. I loved you even when I shouldn’t have. Even when I swore I hated you. It’s a love I haven’t come back from, and I know I never will. It’s a love that no longer gives a f**k about anything but you.”

“Your heart is my end piece. My checkmate. The place I’d like to start calling home if you’d let me.”

“Really have it bad for him and that thought makes me smile. Jack and I were undeniably enemies who fell hopelessly in love.”

Any J Saman books will automatically become one of my favorite books and this book was no different! I lovedddddd Jack and Wrens story and how everything/ everyone is connected. It makes things so much sweeter🤍 I can’t wait for the rest of the series, but I’m also dreading it because I don’t want it to be over🥺😭

✨ARC REVIEW✨

Undeniably Enemies is the fifth book in the Boston’s Irresistible Billionaires series, and it delivers everything you want in an enemies-to-lovers, brother’s best friend romance—angst, tension, and serious steam. From the first page, Jack Kincaid and Wren Fritz’ fiery dynamic had me hooked.

Years ago, one night at a Halloween party changed everything between them. Wren is his best friend’s little sister, the girl he knew he should stay away from—but he didn’t. Now, years later, they’re undeniably enemies, their hatred for each other just as intense as their unresolved feelings.

Jack is the grumpy, broody doctor who pretends he doesn’t care, but it’s painfully obvious he does—especially when it comes to Wren. He’s spent years pushing her away, staying distant because she’s his best friend’s little sister. But fate has other plans. Wren is now a medical student working under him, and as if that weren’t enough, he unknowingly bought the apartment next to hers. Forced proximity only makes it harder to fight the attraction that’s never faded.

One thing I loved about this book is that it flips the typical billionaire romance dynamic—Wren is the billionaire, not Jack. She comes from wealth, while Jack is wealthy in his own right, he’s not the billionaire here. Wren refuses to let Jack’s stubbornness push her away. She challenges him at every turn, and their chemistry is off the charts. As much as they try to fight it, they just can’t stay away from each other.

Meanwhile, their siblings are keeping their own secrets, forcing Jack to navigate an even more complicated situation—one that makes staying away from Wren impossible.

What I Loved:
✨ Grey’s Anatomy vibes (Lexie & McSteamy coded!)
✨ Wren unknowingly texting Jack—hilarious & hot
✨ Their secret book dates (because, of course, she picks enemies-to-lovers books!)
✨ Jack’s protective side and the way he sees Wren
✨ The tension—so, so good

Jack has officially earned a spot in my top five of J. Saman’s MMCs— right next to Stone Fritz. He’s broody, devoted, and completely gone for Wren, and I loved every second of it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (4.5/5 stars)

🔥 Enemies-to-lovers
🔥 Brother’s best friend
🔥 Age gap (10 years)
🔥 Forced proximity (neighbors +workplace romance)
🔥 The heroine is the billionaire!
🔥 HEA

★★★☆☆

I really wanted to love this book but man it was not for me. This was very almost a dnf @ like 10% because a certain word jack called wren but I pushed through the initial ick but it only sort of improved. The premise is great, it gives of early grey's anatomy romance kind of vibes and I was so ready for that. However, the whole book, the whole enemies plot of this is just them being insufferable towards each other and hurling insults at each other like they were getting paid to do it, and they were some blatant just upright wtf insults too. Once they do get over their hate, it's like non-stop sex scenes for a while and I'm like slow the roll, how did we get to this point of being so irrevocably in love with each other. The pacing just felt off.

I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. Some elements had me genuinely screaming at my kindle but the grey's vibes and family dynamics in this whole universe are fun. Although I know these can be read as standalones, having a bunch of character names that all have books, makes it's quite hard to follow an I think clogged this book, I think some had a purpose but others certainly didn't.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 nothing more satisfying than a true enemies-to-lovers story, where the main characters share a history of animosity rooted in their secret attraction to each other. "𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐬" delivered that addictive Grey's Anatomy vibe with an extra dose of spice that had me hooked. To sweeten the deal, we were treated to duet narration by two of my favorite voices, 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧, who truly brought these characters to life!

𝐖𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐳 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐢𝐝 couldn't stand each other due to a few past misunderstandings and the fact that Jack was Wren's first everything. But despite their efforts to avoid one another, it seemed like fate kept pushing them together. The more they clashed, the more the attraction between them sizzled, making it nearly impossible to resist each other. I was living for Wren and Jack’s intense fights and steamy encounters. Their chemistry was just so addictive!

i think this is my new favorite book of J Saman’s! it’s got everything we love in a romance book; tons of tension, moments that make butterflies storm in your belly, and so. much. chemistry.

not to mention this was hot hot H O T ! 🥵

Jack and Wren had an ~undeniable~ connection that they just couldn’t seem to get away from. they’re also both incredibly smart, down to earth, and very charismatic. terrific MC’s- no notes.

the pacing was perfect, and the conflicts didn’t seem crazy or far fetched. i was so happy with how everything evolved throughout the story, and eventually how everyone in their lives found out about their new found love.

a true enemies to lovers trope can officially be achieved in a contemporary romance book, and this is the proof!

This is the fifth book in this impressive series and this is Jack and Wren’s story.
Jack is Wrens brother’s best friend, and the hate they have for each other is legendry. Now Jack is an attending physician, and Wren is a med student, but to top is all they are now neighbors.
This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, grumpy / sunshine, opposites attract, enemies / lovers, secrets, revelations, humor, witty banter, forced proximity, engaging and relatable characters, workplace romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and fun page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
