This house isn't big enough for the both of us...

As my older brother’s best friend, Remington Town used to be like a member of my family. But the minute he turned eighteen, he left our small town of Sugar Brush, Wyoming and never looked back.

Thirteen years later, Remi shows up to settle his father’s estate, but as far as I’m concerned, he should’ve stayed gone. Besides, he’s in for a big surprise when he finds out the old farmhouse he intends to sell is now half mine.

I expect Remi to hit the road just like he did all those years ago, but infuriatingly, he settles in like he plans on staying for a while. It’s impossible to avoid him since I run my farrier business out of the house he’s now haunting. Everywhere I turn, I seem to find him, with his easy smiles and endless patience, no matter what I throw at him—literally.

When push comes to shove and I’m in danger, Remi stands by me without question. His steady, surprisingly gentle presence softens me to him. Soon, a tentative friendship leads to a fiery passion neither of us saw coming.

Remi and I find solace and beauty in each other, but behind the picturesque facade of our small town lurks an ugliness. Someone doesn’t like me having all that I do, and if they have their way, I’ll be left with nothing at all.

See It Through is a small town, western romance featuring the Kelly family. It can be read as a complete standalone, however this series is second generation. The Kelly kids' parents are Lock and Elena, and their story starts in Sweet Like Poison. This is Hannah Kelly's story.

I just finished the audio book which was duet narrated by Emma Wilder & Sean Masters. They were amazing! I already loved this book but they elevated it so much!

Now onto the rest of the review.

No one writes me a romance like Julia Wolf.

I will always be a romance reader, but some seasons are tougher than others. Certain trends and styles can get annoying or make me frustrated. There is something I treasure about picking up a new book from Julia Wolf because I know she will put her all into whatever couple she has written.

I can feel her reverence for deep and abiding love come through on the page. It aches with trueness and bleeds sincerity. And though the couple may be idealized in many ways, they can also feel real. I've known couples like these and I do believe in love like this. It leaves me smiling and swooning constantly. There's just something extra special.

So going into the Kelly Ranch, I had nothing but high expectations. Those expectations were met and I cannot wait for more in this series. The Kelly's are a standout family in the Julia Wolf backlist for me, as with many fans, so I am so excited to dive deeper into their lives. Though I was chomping at the bit for more of Lock and Elena, I think she sprinkled in just enough without letting them take attention from our new couple.

There were some painful and real issues that Remi and Hannah have to face, and I felt the legitimate struggle for them. Pain of the past and misunderstandings, grief and heartbreak that have hardened hearts. But the journey to new love is beautiful.

I loved how the Kelly's were a Found Family for Remi and though they give him a hard time when he first returns, they welcome him in with open arms. I loved how Hannah gave him a hard time, yet as she learned more of the truth, she softened to him. They were quite the pair together and compatible in many ways.

And as always, the heat gets HOT in this one. They have some very sexy scenes, especially one in a truck where they just can't wait a second longer. So delightful.

Overall, this was absolutely another hit for me and Julia Wolf reigns supreme as a favorite author for me.

Julia Wolf is quickly becoming an author i can rely on to deliver romances that are full of depth and feel real. Her characyers are always beautifully flawed and still so loveable and easy to relate to and my favorite part about her romances is that there is always some barrier that feels impossible to over come for our couple to be together, making their HEA feel very earned.

I fell in love with both characters in this book and loved watching them fall in love. I also really enjoyed the setting and the side characters.

No complaints, this was well executed and so fun from first page to last.

Hannah and Remi were soooo cute 😍😍😍😍😍
To be honest, small town, family series aren’t usually my thing simply because there’s usually so much focus on characters other than the H and h. However, that wasn’t the case in this book and I was soooooo happy about it. The focus was all on Hannah and Remi, while still leaving room for a little mystery on the side that didn’t take away from the MCs.
I loved both the h and the H, I don’t think there was ever a time when I was reading that either of them pissed me off, which is hard for an author to accomplish😂 miscommunications between the couple were never long and drawn out 🫶🫶🫶🫶 if there was ever a problem between them, they always worked it out pretty quickly ! This was just really cute and I’m looking forward to the next book!!!!

Edited to add: I was sitting here working on a crochet project, just thinking of this book and remembered some things that I really liked that I wanted to add! I looooved that Hannah called Remi pet names (like baby and honey). I love it when h’s use terms of endearment with H’s, so I was excited that Hannah did that with Remi.
I also loved that Hannah was a more masculine than a typical h. I mean such as being muscular, pretty much 6 feet tall, she had small breasts, and worked in a male dominated field. I loved that aspect because I think it was pretty unique.
I loved that Remi was always there for her and never held a grudge against her for holding a grudge against him.

I’m sure there are plenty more, but these were just the ones that stuck out to me that I was thinking about as I was reminiscing on reading this book!

This did not feel like a Julia Wolf book to me at all. The characters were not overly likeable, the romance fell flat, and the plot did not seem well thought out.

The characters were either underdeveloped or unlikeable. Hannah came in strong with her hate for Remi and although she had her reasons, her not giving him the chance to explain (especially considering his past with his dad) did not give her a good first impression. Remi was okay. Nothing special but like most of the other characters, he felt pretty one dimensional.

Usually, the romance in this author’s books is top tier. However, this one felt cringy and hard to read at points. I could barely get through the spicy scene and there were some choices that weren’t for me. I’m looking at you Miss Armpit Smeller also known as Hannah. I didn’t feel their romance at all. There was barely any indication of attraction before they came together and then they pretty much coasted the rest of the book.

What really threw me was the “mystery” aspect of it. It felt so out of place. There would be a paragraph about it and then forgotten for like 100 pages. I don’t want to say too much and spoil it but to me, how it all ended was too much for no reason. It felt like the author wanted some sort of drama and just threw it in.

I had to sit on this one for a couple days. I honestly didn’t know how to feel because I usually eat up every single Julia Wolf book. My love for this author’s previous work was definitely influencing my opinion of this book because I started off thinking 4 stars but the more I sat with my thoughts, the lower I thought the rating should be. Maybe a generous 2.5 stars. To me, this isn’t her best work but I still might give the next book in this series a try when it comes out.

See It Through (Kelly Ranch #1) by Julia Wolf

4.5/5 stars

I think this is my second book by Julia Wolf and I loved it just as much as the first book. She is brilliant at writing small town romances, which are utterly delicious and addictive. I read this book almost in one go. I had to feed the family in between haha. But it is that addictive and fun.

The Kelly Ranch focuses on the second generation of the Kelly family. At first I thought I would be on the backfoot not having read the original series. But that wasn't the case at all. This one really reads as a standalone and I am super grateful for that. More often than not a second generation series doesn't read well as a standalone book or series. So if you haven't read it like me, then you can dive into this one straight away.

In this book we follow Remington and Hannah. Remington returns to Sugar Brush to sell his father's (and his childhood home) house. He passed away a month ago and he is ready to sell it quickly and leave again. His father started drinking after his mother passed away and never stopped. Remi left town as soon as he could and left everyone behind. But when he is taking a shower he hears noise in the house and he runs straight towards the noise. He bursts into an office and Hannah Kelly is sitting there. And quickly she explains this is her office and that she took over his fathers farrier business even before he passed away. And when Remington finds out Hannah owns half the property they are even more at odds.

Hannah kinda hates Remi for missing his father's funeral and only showing up a month later. Because Graham, his dad, was a great man to her. He taught her his trade and he was also there for her. And she wonders why Remi never returned in the years he was away.

Things change when she finds out why he didn't return and that catapults their journey far and straight ahead. Suddenly suppressed feelings burst to the surface and they cannot keep their hands off each other. But then strange things start to happen. Remi gets a note that he needs to stay away from Hannah. And someone is after Hannah and scaring the crap out of her. Who and what is happening?

My favorite thing about this book is the lack of needless drama. I love how Remi and Hannah can co-exist in each other's life with both carrying different feelings for Graham. I love how much respect there is. And how much they truly take care of each other in small but important ways.

I love Remi's redemption arc with Caleb and the Kelly family. And boy, I wish Phoebe's bakery was real, because I got hungry several times when they were visiting the bakery and those delicious treats were described. I'll probably head off to the bakery tomorrow to treat myself as well haha.

The only thing why it's a 4.5 instead of a 5 star book is because of the lack of chemistry before their first kiss. When they shared that kiss the book literally burned and caught aflame. But I wish there were a few more glances and aching scenes before the kiss happened.

But apart from that this book is bloody brilliant, addictive, hot, fun, exciting and captivating. 4.5 huge stars from me for Remi and Hannah!

I will always be honest and sincere with my reviews, and with all the love in the world, I adore Julia and all her books. Every time I read something by this woman, it makes me cry or stay up late unable to sleep because her books are completely beautiful.

The romantic development is both tender and intense. Those moments of connection - charged with both vulnerability and passion - leap off the page. The intimate scenes are passionate without feeling gratuitous, capturing the electricity of genuine attraction and emotional intimacy.

While the characters face significant challenges, the narrative never feels hopeless. Instead, it's a testament to resilience, to the power of understanding, and to the transformative nature of genuine love. Each struggle feels earned, each moment of connection a hard-won triumph.

I loved this book 💗🥹

This was such a fun small-town romance. It felt different than a lot of Julia Wolf’s books, but it had her fantastic writing and characters. I had not read the blurb, so I was pleasantly surprised to realize that Hannah’s parents were Elena and Lock! I adored Remi and Hannah, and even though the end got a little too dramatic for my liking, this was great for me!

⭐⭐💫
2½ stars.

➕ What I liked :

A heroine that is a farrier.

The mention of the hero having a “soft belly that the heroine could lay her head on” so the hero either had a “dad-bod” physique or just a “ordinary/normal” physique… or just not built like the “standard” and typical/formulaic chiseled/muscular hero with a six pack or/and rock hard abs etc.
It is always great and nice to read and find this kind of variation and others in books/characters.

➖ What I disliked:

Very annoying and unlikable/off-putting heroine.
(A unsympathetic/insensitive/inconsiderate but also judgmental heroine.)

Very unconvincing and lacking/flat romance/romantic build-up and chemistry…. And why would the hero want to be with such a bitchy person like the heroine?

Cringe in many different ways.

Rather flat and uninteresting main characters.

Rather flat and uninteresting plot.

The mystery part of the plot felt like a afterthought.

The trope “The brother’s best friend” is also a afterthought…. And hardly focused on or in the plot more than a very very short time.

How the heroine and the heroines mother and grandmother treated the hero…. All of them knew what a bad and neglectful “parent” the heroes father was/had been… but they still did what they did and behaved like they did.
And the heroine either did not want to or could not put herself in the heroes shoes because she came from a family were she was actually and truly loved and cared for etc. but she was also a rather self-centered and self-righteous person …. and the heroes father treated the heroine good/well so she could not or would not see past that …. and could not wrap her head around that a person can be a total scumbag to one person and then turn around and be a total other person for/to another.

Each to their own… But the weirdness/obsession with the heroine smelling the heroes armpit/armpit sweat was just too strange.

The small town vibe was not warm or nice or even civil really towards the hero or in general it seemed/was rather standoffish/apathetic and aloof.

Sensitive issues are written/handled in a rather tactless/thoughtless way.
(Neglect, emotional neglect etc.)

I love second generation books, so I’ve been looking forward to this new series and what a way to start it off. Remington and Hannah were such a fun couple to read about, as always with Julia Wolf, she manages to put such strong emotions, so much love into her book. I love the whole Kelly family and I’m excited for all the upcoming books.

Returning to Sugar Brush wasn't something Remington had seen himself doing. But after being in a terrible accident and then learning of his father's death, he'd returned to settle things before he moved on and left town again. What he hadn't expected was his father leaving his home to both him and his mentee, Hannah Kelly. His relationship with his father had been very different from the one his father had had with Hannah, and I felt so terrible for him because he deserved so much better from his dad. I truly felt bad for Remington and the kind of welcome he received when he returned to Sugar Brush. I didn't like the way people gave him shit for leaving, especially when some of them knew the kind of situation he was living in. He was also recovering from an injury from his last assignment, which had left him with PTSD.

Hannah was strong, independent, fierce, and cared deeply for those who were a part of her life. She was so used to taking care of everyone and was still reeling over the loss of her boss, mentor, and friend, Graham Town. He had become a father figure to her over the years, and she took care of him right till his final moments, which was also why she was angry at Remi for not showing up for his father sooner; however, she didn't have all the facts for why Remi had left years ago. After her last breakup and the things her ex had said to her, she had been left feeling raw and doubtful of her own feelings, and she'd vowed to not let herself confuse things in her mind and get attached to anyone. Being diagnosed with ADHD also made her feel like she was too much for anyone to handle.

Hannah was forced to coexist in the same house as Remi while she worked, hoping he'd leave town again soon. But Remi decides to stay a while longer to get his bearings and figure out what his next move might be. What started as a confusing and volatile situation between Remi and Hannah over being owners of Graham's property slowly turned into the two starting to lean on each other for support and comfort. As someone who had felt like he had nothing left to return to in this town, getting close to Hannah gave him a renewed sense of hope and helped him deal with the trauma from his accident better. She was by his side and soothed him in a way that he hadn't realized he'd needed. For Hannah, who'd gotten used to feeling like she was too much to be with and not worth the effort, Remi proved to her that she was perfect as she was and that he wasn't intimidated by her strength and independence, nor did he feel like it was too much to give her the attention, love, and reassurances she deserved.

Although there were moments I enjoyed, this book didn't quite hit that mark for me.
The pacing of the book felt a bit off for me. I feel like the way the plot shifted between romance and suspense didn't tie up all that well. The suspense part could've been left out, and it wouldn't have made much difference to the plot.

Hannah was awful to Remi when he first returned to Sugar Brush. She basically used him as her punching bag, saying really mean and terrible things to him without ever asking him for his side. She mentioned that she'd met Graham at an AA meeting. He'd also told her that he hadn't been a good father and didn't hold Remi leaving against him, so why couldn't Hannah just sit back and think that things could've been worse than she knew and get Remi's side of the story??? Nope, she just assumes the worst of him, and the poor guy just takes it, thinking he deserves it. Still, even after they get together, she never makes an effort to understand where things went wrong between him and his father. And the way she reacted to Remi even touching anything that belonged to Graham was so shitty and basically demanded that he get her consent first before doing anything in his own house, which was going too far. The way she kept talking about how great her relationship with Graham was, how well he mentored her and was a close friend and like a father, was just rubbing salt in his wounds because he never got that from his father. The way she acted like SHE was his daughter and had all the rights and not Remi, who was his biological son, just because she was there during his final moments and Remi wasn't, pissed me off. Even when things got serious and there was a minor miscommunication in their relationship, she immediately shut down, ignored him, and broke up with him without even having a conversation. She didn't even give him that courtesy after all that he'd done. This hit deeper, especially since it happened after Remi had opened up to her on a deeper level, and then he just felt hurt because he felt like he was too much for her. Remi truly deserved so much better.

Even Hannah's mom was terrible to him when he first met her and was polite to her. I'm all for sassy characters, but this just made her seem like a bitch, especially since she'd known what he was going through at home growing up, so it isn't far-fetched to guess why he would've left.

I wanted more moments between Caleb and Remi and them slowly mending their friendship, not just one conversation over beers to sort everything out and then for Caleb to just kind of disappear. The whole brother's best friend trope wasn't explored too well since these two had been estranged and had no contact for over a decade. I needed more on-page moments between them to get an understanding of their friendship. Also, Caleb didn't even have much of a reaction to Remi and Hannah dating.

The romance between Hannah and Remi seemed to pick up out of nowhere. Hannah initially hated Remi for not coming back when his father needed him, and they'd barely had any interactions because Hannah didn't want to hear him out or entertain his presence. But one mention of his injury and a kiss later, things went from hate to lust instantly. Their conversations with each other kept shifting between things seeming casual and being in love constantly. So I couldn't see the gradual growth in their relationship. It felt like they'd already declared to give each other their all even when it was supposed to be just casual, and that didn't give me the angst and build-up I was looking for.

I needed more information about Remi's past with his father. That whole thing felt so unfinished for me. I didn't know how bad things had been for Remi growing up, what he'd endured, or why he felt like he had to leave town. Some kind of backstory to justify the level of terror, panic, and detachment Remi felt at being back at his old house or at the mention of his father. What did he mean when he said that he'd experienced a lot at a very young age? And how did his father, who was so terrible and negligent of his child, who'd leave him feeling terrified and abandoned so easily, be reformed after Remi left town? It didn't make sense to me. I really didn't get the answers I was looking for regarding his past with his father, especially with all the shit Hannah had given him for not being there for his dad and being heartless. Maybe I'm just mad at the unfairness of it all for Remi, but I'm happy Graham didn't get to see his son before he passed, because he didn't deserve it in my opinion after the way he'd shut down on his son when he needed him the most.

Although Sugar Brush is mentioned as a small town, not much about the town was described for me to get an understanding of it. I wish the town was a more present part of the book. The side characters, especially the T&T character names, had me confused half the time because I couldn't tell who was who.

The suspense aspect of the book felt lacking and a bit underdeveloped for me, and like the attention was randomly returning to it from time to time. I had a lot of questions regarding the reveals, which I couldn't exactly understand the reasoning behind, to be honest. I wish more questions had been answered and the suspense had built more smoothly along with the romance plot.

Thank you to Julia Wolf and Valentine PR for providing me with the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked this one. it deals with a few heavy topics, so definitely check triggers. but remi and hannah were just great. if you haven't sweet like poison, (hannah's parents' story), don't worry. there's no major gap between the two stories. this book felt like a movie. So much depth and pain and so much I could relate to. the found family, the loss, the complicated parental relationship aspect was really done justice. I bawled my eyes out in the last 25%. My soul was cracked wide open. definitely sticking around for the rest of the kellys. thank you to valentine pr for this arc

Trope: small town, western
Angst: 😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥1/2

I was super excited to hear that Julia Wolf was doing a next-gen series based on Lochlan and Elena's kids, and "See It Through" definitely sets the bar high for the rest of the series. It is a wonderfully written story that manages to be both sexy and emotional, all with a dash of suspense. I can't wait to see who is next!

"You've got me, sweetheart. No matter what, you've got me."~Remington

This is a new author for me and when I read the synopsis of the book, I knew I wanted to read it. I mean small town romance with suspense, count me in. But I must be honest here, the story didn't grab my attention. I wasn't drawn into the community, the world of Sugar Brush. The main focus was the Kelly family and Remington Town, a man who left 10+yrs prior and he's returned 'home'. Remi's Dad had recently passed and they were estranged from one another. The icy reception that man received from the Kelly family was a bit extreme. I would expect it from his former best friend Caleb Kelly or Cay as he's called, but everyone else... Except for Phoebe, Caleb's sister and their Dad Lock. They're reasonable. Ask the man what happened to him before making any assumptions. And do they? No. That point got dragged for all it was worth in this book. I liked Phoebe. She was thoughtful. There's so many characters thrown in that it was oftentimes distracting. I got bored with the story trying to gain footing and to build up the momentum. Something was missing. I almost stopped reading. But I wanted to see it through.😂 The suspense was not there, till the last couple of chapters. That felt weird. Like a: I almost forgot about that, type of moment. I guessed who it was. Overall this wasn't a smooth read for me.

I didn't like Hannah Kelly. Nope. I'm all for being sassy, having banter with a man she's obviously attracted to, but to be mean and rotten to someone else for spite b/c she was there for Graham, Remington's Dad, till the very end, gives the impression that she's gloating over what she did. Nah, girlll. And her bragging about Graham's house being half hers, her apprenticeship of his... now her business, of taking care of other ranchers' horses, and Graham's personal effects... it was too much. Wayyy too much. She was annoying. Judgy. Hot. Cold. Rinse. Repeat. And when she got involved with Remi, she played the game when it wasn't going her way. If you love someone, and you want them in your life, you take a chance on them. You take a risk b/c you love that person. Hannah doesn't do that. She wants it to be safe for her first. Communication, girl. She never even got around to asking him what had happened to him prior... Caleb told her after he and Remi made amends.

Remington was the giver. He put up with so much trash. Especially from Hannah. Why? So she had a way to deal with her pain and grief from his Dad passing away. Wow. He wanted to make her feel better, happy. What does that tell you about him as a person? Remington felt he deserved all the negativity, all the bad words, everything since he hadn't been around. It's sad really. I liked Remington. I didn't think he deserved that. He fought for her, for their relationship later on. I think he deserved better than Hannah. There's some spice, but it was mild and kind of awkward.😆😆

The story was trying to be and do too much. There's a HEA but I won't spoil how it got there. I'm sorry. This didn't work for me. But maybe it could work for other readers. If you want to give it a chance, go for it. The book cover is nice. A sweet shout-out to Huck.🐴 Happy reading.💜🩶💜

See It Through was my first Julia Wolf read and I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed this story.

When Remington Town left Sugar Brush, he wasn’t ever planning on returning. Until his father passed away and now he has to settle the estate. What he was not expecting was that his father also gave half of the estate to Hannah Kelly, his best friend’s little sister. Hannah does not make this easy for Remi, she is upset that Remi wasn’t there for his father’s last days. Instead Hannah held his hand for his last breath and she is struggling to understand the side of Remi’s dad she got to see was far from the guy that raised Remi. Despite Hannah pushing him away at every turn, Remi feels a connection with Hannah and he refuses to just walk away.

Like I mentioned above, I loved this story! It was the perfect small town romance with its own unique flair. Hannah was sassy and stood her ground when it came to Remi, but she was also able to open up and show him some of the softer sides of herself. Her ADHD representation was relatable for me and just made me fall even more for this book. Remi was hurting in his own way, he couldn’t reconcile the guy Hannah was describing vs the dad he grew up with. It took some time for both of them to work through the emotional pain but when they did they came out stronger for it. I can’t wait for more from the Kelly family!

The narration was phenomenal. See It Through is narrated in duet by Sean Masters and Emma Widler and they brought this book to life beautifully. They captured the emotions (both happy and sad) so well. Emma is one of my favorite female narrators to perform sassy FMC roles, and she crushed it as Hannah. Sean also did a wonderful job bringing Remi and all of his book boyfriend perfection to life. Both narrators also did wonderful giving the side characters their own unique voice. The Kelly family has a lot of personality and they represented that so well.

I truly love a good Western romance, but this book I ate right up! 🥰 Julia Wolf definitely knows how to write an amazing book and it's released today!!!

Hannah and Remi are seriously the cutest ever! The banter between the two and how they went from enemies to lovers truly warmed my heart🥰 Both of them have been through a lot since they've been apart, but now that they've reunited and they're trying to put differences aside. They both will find out what has happened within that time and some of it will be pretty shocking. The spice is on 🔥🔥 these two can't keep their hands off of each other! Overall, from beginning to end this book is definitely a five star read!

Thank you Julia Wolf and Valentine PR for picking me to read this ARC❤️❤️❤️

This is exactly what I never knew I needed! And I mean that. Elena and Lochlan have been favorites of mine, so revisiting them and their now-grown kids? Chef’s kiss. Seriously.

Hannah is just incredibly fabulous, too. She’s the best of both parents. She’s strong and loyal and quirky and so quick with the wit and the snark that I can only imagine she and I would be friends in some alternate reality. She’s also quick to apologize when she realizes she’s wrong. She’s got a huge heart and even if she tries not to fall, Remi is there to catch her and promise her all the forevers she needs.

Speaking of Remington. He’s a lot. In the best way. He’s coping with grief and the disbelief that the person he left behind is the same person who made such an immense difference in Hannah’s life. But he’s learning that things, like people, can and do change. Even when Remi thinks all is up in the air, he’s all in to communicate and work through any fears. I mean, it helps that a certain former Senator is there to guide him on his way, but really, he was already heading back to the one who holds his heart.

Add in some unexpected danger and a few twists I didn’t see coming and I desperately want more of this family. This town. And I’m close to begging Julia to give it all to me NOW!

This is the second book I’ve read by this author and I definitely want to read more. See it through is a small town western romance, best friend’s brother, and close proximity romance.

This story following Remington who is returning to the town he grew up in for the first time in thirteen years. He left Sugar Brush a decade ago and hasn’t looked back. He’s returning because his father has passed away. He didn’t have a great relationship with his Dad. After his mom passed away, his father couldn’t cope with the death of his wife. He drowned his sorrows in alcohol and abandoned Remington to pick up the pieces by himself.

He is back in town to take care of his Dad’s property. However, he is met with Hannah his childhood best friend’s little sister who lives on his dad’s property. She became very close with him and he became a big part of her life. Remington finds out the half the property belongs to her and she doesn’t plan on selling it.

Hannah is resistant towards Remington. He shows up after his father passed away and she is pissed at him for not coming sooner. She’s aware of their strained relationship but the man she knew is different than the man Remington describes. They’re able to find common grown and start connecting in a way neither of them expected. Due to their forced proximity, they spend a lot of time together and their connection is irresistible.

I really enjoyed this one! This is a pretty low angst book, well written and the small town vibes were great. The reason this isn’t a full five stars is the random suspense thrown into the book. I just don’t think it was necessary. I am excited for more books in the series as I’m hopeful Hannah’s siblings will all get books!

I received an ALC and this was narrated by Emma Wilder and Sean Masters in duet style. Highly recommend the audio for this one!

After reading some lighter stories, I like that this one took the time to really let the characters get to know each other. Julia Wolf knows how to write a story.

Summary:
😫. third act breakup (brief, but it exists)
🗣️. Inconsistent communication. There are times where they’re beautifully honest with each other and other times when it takes a minute.
🧨. Good spice throughout
👥. Mature main characters: MMC, Remington, is a traveling photographer who returns home in the aftermath of his estranged father’s death. He quickly learns that his childhood best friends sister was very close with his father and took care of him as he died. FMC, Hannah, is a grief stricken rancher who doesn’t always handle her emotions well and initially lashes out at Remington.
🧠 ADHD representation. I really loved that the author included this and found the FMCs reactions to things an accurate representation; even when it made her difficult to like at times. It was kind of the point - that he SAW her.
❤️ dual POV and HEA; 1 yr later epilogue
👥 found family. Her family, the Kelly family is at the heart of the story as well. Her siblings, parents/grandparents and their huge ranch.
👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼 no OM/OW. Brief mention of her ex and he makes an appearance but it serves to drive their relationship forward. His mention of his ex (“Seattle”) is for a similar reason.

The story is really the story of Remington and Hannah healing from past heartbreak and growing individually and together. Learning to trust each other and open up to each other as they figure out their future.

Remington makes it clear from the beginning that he may not stay in town and she’s figuring out to fall in love and deal with the idea of him leaving. When Remington arrives it’s after having been away for 13 years and after he cut everyone from town out of his life. He’s also suffering from a recent head injury from a car accident when he was working in a war torn country. His father/her friend, left his house to the two of them and they are sharing the space - him to live in and her to work. Hannah is struggling with her grief over losing Remingtons dad, her friend and mentor. In addition, she had a bad breakup where her ex cheated on her.

There’s a side drama where Hannah is being threatened and towards the end of the story it becomes more dangerous. That all felt a bit strange and forced imo. But these books always have some weird local who causes trouble 🤷🏻‍♀️.

❤️👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼. I really loved Remington and Hannah together. They’re a bit opposite - him calm and collected, her chaotic. He soothes her, even when she’s angry with him and lashing out. She supports him, recognizes his gentle heart and also gives him her passion. They have true respect for each other and it shows throughout the book.

I also really like that the author made their physical appearance a bit different than typical - she’s almost 6 ft tall, strong, and is small chested. He’s tall, lean and strong but also described has having a little meat on his belly so she can lay her head. Lol. They’re beautiful but not perfect. And they each are so HOT for each other.

I really loved this book and even with my nit-picking I highly recommend!

Reasons why not 5 stars:
- I really dislike miscommunication or misunderstanding as a trope. The author did a good job in this book of explaining why/how they each reacted and it’s realistic, but still don’t like it and it happens more than once.
- third act breakup. No matter how brief - just don’t like.
- In the very beginning, Hannah’s mom acted like she didn’t know Remington in the grocery store. Just childish and hurtful.
- lastly, it annoyed me that Hannah wouldn’t take the time to ASK in the beginning WHY he wasn’t able to come home when the guy is clearly in pain and walking around w a head wound… and also why wouldn’t he just TELL her?

Favorite parts (in no order):
- I loved that the family readily accepted them together and it wasn’t an issue. Sometimes the brother’s best friend trope is annoying and this wasn’t a factor at all.
- from the beginning they are upfront and honest with everyone about being together.
- the dinner scene with Caleb’s crazy smart son where the family realizes that they’re together was cute/fun. All the thigh squeezing and feet/ankles tangled. :)
- when she drives him home from his doctor appt and finally realizes WHY he wasn’t home and feels guilty for how she treated him and then she jumps him and they have their first kiss
- how he makes her pancakes w sprinkles
- when she brought him to see his old horse
- when he has his night terrors and she holds him
- after the rodeo when she sees her ex and Remington gives her a kiss in the truck that heals her heart. After they drive off she can’t wait to jump him and makes him pull over to the side of the road.
- when she was attacked in the alley and all she can think about it getting back to Remi.
- when he finally reads the letter from his dad and breaks down and she’s there for him
- how he understands her ADHD and loves that part of her. She’s never too much for him.

Hannah is devastated when her mentor and good friend passes away. She is also pretty angry at his son for not coming back to say goodbye. Remington returns to town to settle his father's affairs and sell the house. He is shocked to learn that Hannah owns half. And someone isn't too happy with Hannah and they aren't not afraid of letting her know. With Hannah in danger and Remington battling his own demons, will these two be able to find their happily ever after?

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Sean Masters and Emma Wilder. They perfectly brought the characters, chemistry, and the tension to life.

Adored this story! I discovered Julia earlier this year and have loved every book I’ve picked up since. While this is a second gen book, I hadn’t read the previous series prior to reading this but it didn’t affect my enjoyment of this book.

Julia’s writing is easy to read and she delivers such heartwarming stories that have me falling in love with the characters and becoming fully invested in their story through her beautiful storytelling.

Here’s all the things I loved about Hannah + Remi’s story…
- their meet cute had me cackling. out loud.
- i really enjoyed the dynamic between them, the instant animosity created the perfect enemy vibes.
- the banter and verbal sparring was so good.
- i adored hannah, i could relate so much to her and giggled at her constantly. love that she was dominating in a mostly male field of work.
- the adhd rep in this was handled really well and with care. it was realistic and totally refreshing!
- i enjoyed how together they had to reconcile the man and father graham had been to remi being different to the man hannah was grieving.
- hannah’s entire journey and discovering she was wrong about remi.
- hannah and pheobe’s relationship and banter was the perfect representation of sisters.
- remi making amends and rebuilding his friendship with caleb.
- the way he didn’t let her hide. he saw her and loved her exactly how she was.
- the sprinkle of suspense in here was balanced well to keep you on your toes.
- the family reaction to them being together was beautiful and so refreshing. gimme alllll the healthy communication and emotional maturity.
- the sweetest epilogue ever.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁: small western town, enemies to lovers, brothers best friend, close proximity, farrier fmc, a dash of suspense.

Thank you Julia for this arc 🫶

Next generation are the best.
I absolutely love Hannah and Remi, they were ridiculously sweet and just what my heart needed.
I absolutely blew through the pages, like all of Julia's books it's kept my attention, from cover to cover I was submerged right into the bone of their story
Small town romances are like a warm blanket, this left me feeling all warm and fuzzy.

A huge thanks to the author for this ALC in exchange for an honest review! 💖

3.5 stars (rounded up to 4 on Goodreads). This was a solid small town romance! I didn’t initially realize that Hannah is the daughter of Lock & Elena from Sweet Like Poison, so that was a fun little surprise. I always love a good western small town romance, and this really delivered on those vibes. Remi had a ton of trauma and grief to work through, and I thought his character development was beautifully executed. I really loved how invested he was in all of his relationships (romantic or otherwise), and how he didn’t shy away from the consequences that resulted from his sudden departure from the town years prior. I loved the side characters and am excited to see some of them get their own books. The sudden dramatics at the end kind of came out of left field for me, but I do feel like it added a little grit and suspense.

Now the things I didn’t love. It took a long time for me to warm up to Hannah. I can’t stand when a character makes a snap assumption about someone and then takes out their feelings on them without provocation…it makes it hard for me to root for them. I often felt like she was the one causing her own hardships due to her poor communication skills and rashness, so I felt a little apathetic towards her at times. I also didn’t love some of the messaging at the end (or at least my interpretation of it). Remi’s desire to leave their small town and travel the world in pursuit of his passion (which very clearly still brings him joy) seemed to get overshadowed by Hannah’s desire to stay in their small town and be near family. I felt like Remi was boxed in a tad in the sense of “don’t leave if you don’t wanna lose a good thing”. I just wish there had been a tad bit more compromise between them. Regardless of those issues, the romance itself really worked for me and I found the HEA to be super sweet and deserved.

The audiobook experience was stellar, I’d highly recommend giving it a listen when it drops. Emma Wilder & Sean Masters are some of my favorite romance narrators, and they did a great job at bringing these characters to life.

If you love a good small town romance with all the gossipy, nosy interlopers, set on a huge ranch/resort in Wyoming, hot cowboys, big family vibes and plenty of intrigue, See it Through by Julia Wolf needs to be on your list. She brings this next generation story to life, via Elena and Lock/Lachlan Kelly. It's a perfect introduction to a variety of interesting characters in this new series! Woohoo! The parent's story(Sweet Like Poison) was so memorable and am quite in love with their four adult children already- secretly wishing for Caleb's book asap!

Oldest daughter Hannah is a down to earth, old jeans and tee shirt tomboy who'd rather spend time with horses than people, but is still very much her mother's daughter. Her mouth often gets her in trouble, and her main target these days? The prodigal son returned- Remington Town. The mile wide grudge this fiesty woman has against him is epic and absolutely relentless.

Remington Town never looked back after sprinting away from Sugar Brush, Wyoming, leaving his small hometown in the dust with no intention of ever going back. That all changed when his estranged father passed away and home was where he needed to be, but not everyone is happy to see him.

The reunion with his best friend's tough as nails younger sister, all grown up now and pretty as a picture, was off to a rocky start. She's no-nonsense, independent, and determined to keep him at arms length. He knew the pull of their attraction was the real deal, but would she ever see it that way too? Only time will tell.

The family dynamic between the entire Kelly clan was humor- filled, warm and protective. Elena and Lock as parents? They rocked this role and it was so fun to see them again- this time older and wiser. Remi was embraced and welcomed back into the fold, much to Hannah's dismay, adding tension and steamy smolder- my kind of bonus material. These 'sort of' enemies are fighting the need to feel the love, while a suspenseful current runs through this little town. Someone is not a fan of Hannah and danger is lurking and building, oh my!

I love that the story will continue on with whatever these characters dish up next. I am definitely on board with more books in the Kelly Ranch series- I sure hope Caleb's story is up next. He made an everlasting impression on me. Hot single dad anyone?? Yes please!

I received an early copy of this book to read and review. All opinions are my own and freely given.

Hannah and Remi were adorable. I was instantly hooked and enjoyed every moment between them. This small town romance will have you falling in love with not only the main characters but the side characters and the town itself. The build up of Remi and Hannah’s relationship will have you on the edge of your seat waiting for them to fully fall for each other. But when they finally do let themselves, it’s everything and more. The road towards their HEA isn’t an easy one and there is some suspense/mystery behind some things that happen to Hannah and to her truck. But they make it through and there is closure about who was behind it, even though it gets touch and go there for a minute. Overall this was an amazing journey and I can’t wait for more to come. I will also be going back to read Hannah’s parent’s story as well.

I bloody adored See It Through. Both Hannah and Remi were great characters, the plot kept you guessing with the mystery/suspense and kept you loving the spicy and romantic scenes and the way Wyoming was described sounded so beautiful! Hannah’s feisty personality was great. I also loved how passionate she was about her job and loved seeing her being such a boss. She had a take no prisoners attitude but was also so loving and had the biggest heart for those she cared about. Remi was so protective, patient and loving i just fell in love with him! I also enjoyed how passionate he was about photography. I loved the instant chemistry they had and how they built on their relationship, it was built with such trust and respect. I loved seeing them just genuinely enjoying life together whether it was on horseback, walking through town or having dinner with the Kelly family. The Kelly family is amazing! I adored every single one of them and cannot wait for the next book in this series! I will be jumping on it as soon as it’s out. I LOVED this book!

Julia Wolf knows how to write characters that you immediately fall in love with. That certainly holds true in this book.

Julia also has a gift for making you feel all the emotions right along with her characters. Remi and Hanna’s emotions were big and bled onto the pages. Watching them work through all of those emotions and traumas was real and raw. And these two go through it and come out on the other side stronger than ever. And the spice? Incendiary.

I always know going into one of Julia’s books that I’m going to love it, and this book was no exception. If she writes it, I’m going to read it.
