The stunning illustrations grabbed me in this creative tale about a young neurodivergent boy who loses his first tooth and spins a wild story about where lost teeth go. Highly recommended for readers 3-8.

Any book that involves fairies is my kind of book for a kid. I loved how the tooth fairy not only needs help from the young boy who lost his tooth but also inspires him to be who he is. I found this story to be magical and imaginative. It's a perfect fit for young kids. As a parent, I would read this book with my child.

Love Always, Catherine

Four Point Four Stars
Gabriel loves building rockets and wants nothing more than to visit space in his own rocket. When his first tooth breaks and the tooth fairy comes for a visit, something magical happens as Gabriel finds himself in the world of the Tooth Fairies, after he manages to help his tooth fairy.
What happens after that? The illustrations were out of the world and the story was beautiful helping each child realize their dream.

Gabriel's Tooth Fairy Tale by Sharon Leya and Jennifer Saylor is a delightful and imaginative story that captures the magic and wonder of childhood. The authors have crafted a whimsical tale that is both entertaining and heartfelt, making it an engaging read for children and a nostalgic experience for adults.

What stands out most is the creativity woven throughout the story. Even though fairy tales like this are often meant to be lighthearted and fun, they carry a deeper charm that can resonate as cherished memories for many. The narrative is rich with vibrant imagery and playful moments, ensuring that young readers stay captivated. At the same time, the book offers a gentle reminder of the universal joy and imagination that fairy tales bring to childhoods across generations.

The illustrations beautifully complement the story, enhancing its magical feel and making it even more appealing to kids. However, on many pages the relevance of illustrations to the written content were not matched properly. While the tale may not break new ground in its genre, its warmth and originality make it a standout addition to any child’s bookshelf.

Whether it serves as a fun bedtime story or a nostalgic trip down memory lane, Gabriel's Tooth Fairy Tale remains a creative and meaningful read that sparks joy for its audience, young and old alike.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange of an honest review. Thank you!
This is a lovely little story about what happens to children's lost teeth. Gabriel is interested in everything related to the stars and space travel, so helping him repair the Tooth Fairy's rocket is the beginning of special adventures for him. This earns him a trip to the land of the tooth fairies. I felt that the introduction of the country was a bit short and we don't get to know much about the tooth fairies before Gabriel heads back.
The illustrations are very nice, but sometimes it is confusing that next to a full-page illustration, the text can be read on a plain white background.

My son has been super into the Tooth Fairy lately so I bought him this book and it definitely has more Tooth Fairy related content than the library recommendations. However, it seemed to also be about thinking differently. It was a good book, he enjoyed it, and it even has a letter you can write to the tooth fairy in the back. Overall, 3/5 stars ⭐️

Firstly I would like to thank Sharon Leya , Jennifer Saylor and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this beautiful and magical children's book.
Recently Published the story follows the adventure of 6 year old Gabriel on the night that he looses his first tooth . The story itself being a modern twist and retelling of the many traditional tooth fairy stories we have grown up to adore.
The book itself is beautifully illustrated by Ivan Sulima and to say that these pictures are mesmerising is a large understatement . The work and craftsmanship that must have gone into creating this is surely a labour of love. I wholeheartedly looked forward to turning every page as the drawings made the story jump from the pages .
The tale itself is so engaging for young readers and very heartwarming .
A quote from the book that stood out to me was ' 'When you're a grownup instead of just counting the stars , you could become an astronaut and visit them'
It gives every reader the self confidence that the impossible can be possible if you have a dream .
I also loved the detail that went into the book even to the point that a template was included at the end of the story which gave children the opportunity to write their own letter to the tooth fairy .
A beautiful read that I would encourage any parent to buy .

Gabriel, the space-fixated kid, has had a tooth come out, and is ready to put it under the pillow to exchange for a few coins overnight. What he cannot possibly expect is for the jetpack belonging to the tooth fairy that comes to do the trade with him to break down, for him to fix it, and for the fairy to gratefully let him visit her home. This is fine – this is practically four star fine – but it still felt that another layer could have been introduced. It felt like it needed more logic from the questioning, scientific mind of the boy, more wonder and magic in response, and perhaps a bit more narrative. I like the way the piece ignores the old "was it real, or was it all a dream?" trope, but as it is it felt like it could pass me by too easily. Is it to be read by STEM lovers, fantasy seekers, kids with their tooth come out? All those, but it didn't feel like it could stand out for any audience. I'm probably nitpicking a lot more than it deserves, and I wish it well, but something left me less positive than I believe I should be. Three and three quarter stars, then – were I to do such petty point divisions.

Thank you so much to Booksgosocial/ Orange Puffin Playgrounds and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

Gabriel a little boy who loves space, stars and tinkering with his makespace, loses his first tooth leaving him with questions of what happens to his tooth and why do the fairies take them.

I loved how imaginative this was, from start to finish full of creativity and imagination. Gabriel had such a curious mind, so full of wonder, dreams and questions and as he dreams about what is happening to his tooth he gets a trip to fairyland to find his answers.

This is a wonderful story sharing about the stars, about space, about tooth Fairies and teeth. The Illustrations were amazing to look at, so beautifully done and the story was wonderful, your imagination flies with Gabriel as he gets to explore something you can only do in your dreams.

A wonderful read for those with imaginative minds, for space loving children and those curious about how and why things happen. So much wonder is within this book, with beautiful illustrations and a lovely imaginative story.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to review this book... Stunning! First off, the artwork. The drawing from Tooth Fairy Land on page 24 is absolutely gorgeous. I would buy this as a poster and put into a children's room. Bravo! What talent!

The story was sweet. Gabriel is obsessed with rockets so why not have him rocket to Tooth Fairy Land with his first lost tooth?! I also loved how the author answers the question of "what do they do with all the teeth?" as I am sure that would be a question asked by a child listening or reading this book.
I, too, used to leave a note under the pillow after collecting the tooth and leaving the money. The template for the letter to the tooth fairy in the back of the book is wonderful and I am sure will be frequently used.
Being the daughter of a dentist, I would highly recommend this book to patients and parents alike. It is something that every child goes through so why not have more books about Tooth Fairies!

Beautifully illustrated, this is a picture book about a little boy who loses his first tooth and gets to help the tooth fairy. She takes him to Tooth Fairy Land where they watch a parade together. The illustrations are detailed and beautiful. I particularly liked the drawings of the buildings and the ones of Gabriel. They have a classic, whimsical charm about them. There is even a page at the end where the child reader is encouraged to write a letter to the tooth fairy, which is a nice touch. Definitely one to read aloud to a young child (around 5-8) and both adults and children will enjoy poring over the beautiful illustrations.

This children’s book instantly stands out with above-average, truly gorgeous illustrations that feel warm, fun, and full of life. It also offers thoughtful ASD representation in a gentle, encouraging way, showing that every child has something special to offer. The story follows a little boy with a unique talent, and it was so sweet to see him use his skills with confidence and pride to help the tooth fairy.

I also loved the interactive touch at the end, a letter template for the tooth fairy, which adds a cute, memorable bonus for kids and parents. Overall, it’s a wholesome, uplifting read with a meaningful message, beautiful artwork, and a fun activity to go along with it.

I thought that this book was excellent.

I really liked the idea behind the book and the authors have really done it justice. I love that the main character is neurodivergent and this is embraced in the book - something that should happen more often as there are plenty of people out there that can relate

The story is wonderful and whimsical - it is well written and my daughter really enjoyed it. It is easy to read and follow too. The illustrations are a treat and they add so much to the story and help bring it all to life.

It is 5 stars from me for this one - very highly recommended!

** ARC Review **
Gabriel's Tooth Fairy Tale, by Sharon Leya and Jennifer Saylor, is a fantastic, modern twist on the classic story that won over our family completely. The story of Gabriel, a curious and space-loving boy with autism, and a Tooth Fairy with a broken jetpack is pure magic from start to finish.

The book's illustrations by Ivan Sulima are truly stunning, bursting with color and charming details that will mesmerize any child. It’s a wonderful tale that not only sparks imagination but also celebrates being unique and the power of curiosity. This is our new favorite for every lost tooth!

I found this to be a fun way to re-tell the tooth fairy. I would’ve like a better transition between talking about Gabriel’s love for space to him meeting the tooth fairy and going on adventure with her because it did confuse me a little. The illustrations were great and they did remind me of Peter Pan, which I think children would love. I liked that it answered “what do you do with the teeth you collect?”. I am positive kids will love this as a bedtime story and will be excited for when their next tooth falls.

Thank you to the authors and NetGalley for this e-ARC.

What a lovely imagining of what happens to our teeth once they’ve been lost and taken by ‘the tooth fairy.’ It was a pleasant surprise to have a tinkerer’s point of view when it came to this book. I loved all the space and rocket ship details, my boy would love to read this book. One note, as a parent I will struggle a little with the reading the name Birnbry aloud, thankfully it only appears twice in the book.

Easy-to-follow narrative with efficient wording. Dreamy illustrations that are full of warmth. Wonderful and heartening explanations for giving teeth to a tooth fairy. Magical adventure that brings excitement and joy. Short introduction that abruptly cuts into the climax. Spreads the message of the importance in staying true to yourself and not giving up. Relaxing narrative. Evokes awe and charm. Recommended for those hoping to find specks of stellar dreams.

This is an adorable story for children that takes a familiar character/fairytale like the story of the tooth fairy and presents it in an entirely new and very creative manner.

The illustrations are wonderful, and I like the representation aspect, which is beautifully handled.

This will be a great gift and an excellent book to read with young kids. Highly recommended.

Very cute story. It does a great job to link the idea of the tooth fairy with the idea of following your dreams. Gabriel gets the chance to help a tooth fairy and then visit their land! The story speaks of dreams, the future, and looking beyond just counting what can be seen, such as the stars.

Many thanks to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for the Advance Reader's Copy in exchange for my honest review.

Charming story of a budding engineer who dreams of going to space. He creates rockets to further his dream. When Gabriel loses his first tooth, the Tooth Fairy accidentally wakes him up. He fixes her engine, and she brings him to her home. They talk about space and the beauty of the stars. She encourages him to keep inventing and dreaming. I appreciate the encouragement to believe in himself as he grows.

A very cute story about a little boy who meets a tooth fairy and helps her fix her jetpack!

I liked the idea of children's baby teeth becoming the stars in the sky, and that's why the tooth fairies collect them. It's unique and sweet!

The only thing I didn't like that much about this book was the art style - I feel like some of the illustrations would have given child me the creeps (such as the zoom in on Gabriel's face).

I think the author has done a wonderful work in making a child's dream seem so realistic. It beautifully portrays a child's world. The tooth fairy too shone herself as a modern fairy who did not fly using her wings but by using a jetpack. All the illustrations were beautiful and I loved reading it to my little daughter.

This was an interesting take on the whole tooth fairy tale we grow up knowing. Who doesn't want to know where the teeth go and what happens behind the scenes? The illustrations were nice and the story was sweet but there wasn't much mind-blowing about it. A fun read for young audiences but not so much for an adult.
