I enjoyed this more than I thought I was going to, though it was just an okay read. Everything was predictable but it came together nicely. Halle got on my nerves a little only because she knows her ex is out to get her but continues to go off on her own and is shocked when something happens every time. Smut was meh. Her daughter Luna was adorable! the son Sammy was too, but Luna was my favorite. Plus, it was really nice to see the guys mother step up and just be such a wonderful person.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but I saw some reviews saying this was well written? I'm sorry, but did we read the same book?

I've read a book previously written by this author, and if I hadn't seen their name on the cover of both, I never would have known the two books were written by the same person.

While the story itself (the plot, I mean) wasn't bad, the way it was written was very "here, have all these ridiculous things just thrown out there, and you're supposed to just believe them all without questioning anything." And I'm not even referring to the RH aspects. Though a lot of this story, especially the romance, moves very fast with very little reasoning as to why. Like, she wakes up in the hospital to the three firefighters (who she barely knows) who saved her watching over her and her children, and she's just cool with it. And they basically tell her to move in with them because she has no where else to go, and she's also just cool with it. And the day she moves in, one of them kisses her in the kitchen after some quick flirting, and again, she's just cool with it. All the while, we only get a flimsy "well, they're attractive" kind of explanation. The fact I even made it past this part speaks more to my curiosity than anything.

I don't know anything for sure or anything, but if I had to guess, I'd say the previous book I'd read actually got seen by an editor, and this one didn't. I could be wrong, but that's the vibe I got.

Update: I read the SEALs book in this series after reading this book, and that book was very much like the first book I'd read from Kai Lesy. As in, it was decent, and I could actually tell it was written by this author. I have no idea what happened here, but I'm removing a star. This book doesn't feel like it should be on the same level as those other books.

Kai does it again with a great RH read. I really enjoyed this book as it had a lot of character building, past, present and future dialogue and so much more. Of course there were sexy times but not as much as we have scene in other books.

start a new life for her and her kids. Luna and Sammy are her greatest joy and she will do anything to keep them safe. Small town vibes, three brothers are firefighters with huge hearts. Wayne, Eric and Chase come to the rescue when the restaurant where she works burns down. I just love the twins and their other brother Wyatt who are more than just fire fighters. Family, trauma, abuse, love, acceptance are featured in this amazing read.

I loved Single Mom's Firemen: A Contemporary Reverse Harem Romance. Halle is running from a very abusive ex. She fears for herself and her children. When she is in a fire that almost kills all three of them, she is rescued by brothers Eric, Chase and Wyatt. These brothers are all fire fighters and share everything including women. They want to protect Halle but they also want to be together with her and help raise her children. Unfortunately, danger is lurking and she hasn’t been completely honest with them either. She wants to run but they won’t let her go, she’s safer with them. I would definitely recommend this book. Danger, suspense and lots of steamy scenes.

Well written, full of steam, love, romance, action, mystery, mafia family and emotions. Halle is a young mother with 2 children who is in hiding from her ex. Eric, Chase and Wyatt are brothers yet firemen who help Halle after a fire that burns the diner down where she works. It placed her and her children is a dangerous situation where they all could have died. Other things happen to her when her ex shows up and the guys now try to protect her and the children. All of them start to have feelings for each other and together they make their own family. Has lots of action and stem in this story. Would recommend to some.

OMG, "Single Mom's Firemen" is a rollercoaster of emotions! 😂 3.5 stars out of 5? I’d say that’s pretty accurate. The story is like, *very* spicy, just how I like it. 🥵 There are scenes that leave you speechless, like *wow*, but others that are a bit...meh. 🤷

The protagonist is a single mom fighting her demons, and the sexy firefighters surrounding her are just the antidote she needs. But wait... there’s a twist! 🤯 I won’t tell you, or I’ll ruin the surprise. Think of a love triangle, but with flames and way more drama. 🔥

In conclusion? If you love drama, muscular firefighters, and a pinch of spice, this book is for you. If you’re looking for a complex plot and super-developed characters, you might want to look elsewhere. 😉 But hey, sometimes a bit of lightness and action is good for the soul, right? 😉

This story is on Fire! In more ways than one…

Halle, our main female character and mother of two young children, has many problems that weigh her down. But she keeps putting one foot in front of the other. What else is a good momma to do? Her drug-addicted mother is of no help. There is no one else in her life to share the burden of childcare while she works. At least she has a small one-room apartment above the restaurant where she works for her and her kids—until she doesn’t.

Halle knows her ex-husband is looking for her and the kids. He was VERY abusive. So hiding from him is the best plan. So far, so good. But Halle never lets her guard down.
One night, when she closes the restaurant and takes the kids upstairs, it is only a matter of minutes before she realizes she smells smoke. The downstairs is on fire. She can’t get out by going down, so she tries to go to the window. The fire trucks are already approaching. The first fireman grabs the kids and gets them to safety. But a beam falls on Halle. The fireman manages to get her out on his second trip.

The restaurant is a total loss. Halle is in the hospital; she has lost all of their possessions. She has nothing left and nowhere to go. The firemen to the rescue once again! When she is released from the hospital, she and the kids go with them, and the rest of the story gets even better!!

Her ex is after her. And he is bat S**t Crazy! Very abusive and has no boundaries or no concern for the children. The firemen, Wyatt, Chase, and Eric are the exact opposite.

This is a must-read for every Kai Lesy fan! It just doesn’t get any better than this. The ending is so good, I hated for it to end…, but I was glad when it ended. Read the book, and you’ll understand that feeling! Sorry for the long yet short review. There is so much to say, so much I didn’t want to say and spoil anyone’s reading experience!

An action packed suspense filled reverse harem romance story.Halle is running from an abusive ex husband she's working at a diner as she cashes out her customer she goes to deal with some paperwork.she hates that her six year old daughter is keeping an eye on her four year old brother because their grandmother decided to go out gambling.Halle has a couple of hours til closing but they live above the diner so she can check on them when things are slow.She hears the bell above the door an thinks its her regular customer leaving.A few minutes later she smells smoke an rushes to get her kids to safety.The smoke is black an thick as she rushes upstairs knocking on the door telling her daughter to open the door when her daughter asks where's dad Halle says he's not here but let me in the fire is getting closer an its harder to breath she has to get the kids out the window up to the roof so the firemen can save them her son doesn't want to let go of his mom but the fire truck arrives she yells help my babies.Eric and his brothers climb the ladder taking the Kids to safety while Eric grabs Halle an pulls her out just as the roof caves in she's coughing and everything goes black.Will Halle wake up?Are her kids ok?Where will they live?Is her ex behind the fire?There are so many twists and turns to this story you will be riveted til the very last page.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

Great story… but needs a better proofreader

Really enjoyed this story. I mean, come on… it’s about three hot, hunky, heroic firemen. What’s not to love, right?

There’s spice. There’s action (bedroom and plot). There’s thrills (bedroom and plot). There’s suspense. But sadly there’s also a lot of little mistakes and errors that are hard to overlook.

It’s a problem I have found with ebooks. Because they haven’t gone through the process of stringent publishing standards, the little mistakes that would usually have been spotted by a good proofreader aren’t rectified. Things like mismatched timings, wrong names being used, words missing, typesetting errors. There were so many that eventually, for me it got a little frustrating. Which is a real shame because I liked the story, and loved the characters. There just needed to be more attention to detail so that the plot flowed.

That’s the other thing too. I found myself having to constantly try to work out when things were happening which stopped the flow. A lot of other authors use separators in between paragraphs where there’s a jump between either time frame or subject. I think that would really help in this book because it would prepare the reader for the change.

I know it sounds like I didn’t like the book… which isn’t the case. I loved it… mostly. If the editing had been better it would have been another 5 stars, but it’s only a 4 this time for those reasons.

I have read a few of Kai Lesy's books and she never fails to deliver gripping, steamy, and swoon worthy stories that always satisfy all of my needs. This story is about single mum Halle who is trying to hide with her two young children from an abusive ex husband. But he always manages to track her and the kids down, due to an unfortunate incident where her home and workplace at a diner burns down with her and the children inside she is forced to leave her home and has lost everything she owns. Enter the Danson Brothers, A set of twins; Eric and Chase and their older brother Wyatt, three sexy ex-seals and current firefighters that save her and her children from the fire. They then offer her a place to stay, a job and to look after her and her children while she gets back on her feet. But when the past starts to catch up with her, can she ever be safe? The brothers share everything and they want to share her, but what happens when danger lurks around every corner? Will she ever get her happy ever after with these three men? Amazing story that I just couldn't put down! fantastic and i would recommend everyone to read this book!.

I'm kind of torn on this one...yes I have to lighten up because this is a MMFM, reverse harem, brothers, ex military, single mom being hunted by her horrible mob ex and nasty ex mother in law. Obviously this doesn't happen everyday....

But Halle. Omg she was annoying. *** possible spoilers ***How many times did she try to leave or go out on her own or only with the kids knowing she was in danger? Oh the kids wanted to see the ducks. Really? Oh kids yeah lets go get ice cream...oh a strange man is approaching me on the street asking for directions? No biggie. Are we surprised she got kidnapped? Nooooooo. I wanted to smack her. and the keeping her pregnancy a secret?? Til when? The second trimester? Sure. You go girl.

I read the attraction between her and Eric especially because he was the first one on scene at the fire to help her, but there were Very few moments with Halle and Wyatt and Chase. When they would speak of her you knew they were falling in love with her but times together feeling the chemistry? Meh. And no real special moments with the kids only with the newfound grandparents. I know I don't want to nitpick but I was skipping lines at the end of the book.

If I’m honest I’m a bit confused about this book and exactly how I feel about it. On the plus side it’s got a good story that could have been brilliant but it’s still good enough to keep you interested in reading and finding out what happens.
On the downside it’s a bit muddled in terms of what it’s trying to be. Yes it’s a reverse harem and they are together at the same time but it’s not particularly steamy in its language during these scenes. Some of the things Halle says during them are not what I would expect and she seems to accept and jump into bed with the 3 of them with no thought for her current situation or her children who are supposed to be her life.
I really wanted to like this book but it just doesn’t seem to flow. It could have been so much more.
I don’t think I will be reading any more books by this author.

But will she be able to trust them enough to protect her from a past she can't seem to outrun?

Single Mom's Firemen is a reverse harem romance with plenty of heat, lots of alpha energy, and the fiercest protectors against the vilest of men. The plot is intriguing and the characters are relatable. Showing that good does beat out evil, even if some vigilante justice is called for to get their happy ending. Enjoy!

I absolutely loved reading this story about the Danson brother, Wyatt, and twins Eric and Chase and how they helped to save Halle and her two children, Luna and Sammy. Halle Was running from her ex-husband with her two children, and she suddenly found herself in danger and rescued by three hunky firefighters, who were obsessed with her and found their opportunity to make her their own, despite the danger that they were in. When Halle discovered she was pregnant, again, she had no idea which one was the father but didn’t care because she loved all three of them, they saved her for the final time and discovered her Seacret pregnancy and drew straws as to who was going to be legally the father of the baby and also her husband. They go on to have a happily ever after with another baby on the way.

Wyatt and the twins Chase and Eric, who know her from the diner offer Halle and the children their 2 spare rooms until she gets back onto her feet after losing everything.

Halle is dealing with the abusive ex, who is back on the scene but also the growing attraction between her and the brothers. Will the brothers keep her and the children safe from the psycho ex or is their lives and relationship going up smoke?

A great read filled with drama, family dynamics and some smokin' hot loving.

Halle and her children are on the run from her abusive, mafia connected, ex husband. When the diner she works and lives in is burned to the ground with her and her children inside, Chase, Wyatt and Eric, local firemen and former military men come to the rescue. The guys have been frequenting the diner because of the newest employee and on impulse offer Halle and her kids a place to stay after everything they have is lost.

This is an OTT, super steamy, RH romance with a great plot, characters with depth and tons of action. The guys are protective alphas with hearts of gold, a mother that embraces her family and their new charges and a FMC that finds her strength through the challenges she faces.

Holy smokes this is INE smoking hot read. Hallie wanted to start over after her divorce from the No good Colby. Him and his mother Harriet are bad people. when Hallie and her two small children are caught in a fire at the diner she worked and lived upstairs in a small apartment, she thought their lives were over. When she sees the amazing Danson brothers firefighters crew to blaze the fire she has hope. What turns out to be arson, Hallie knows Colby is behind it. Hallie is in a her survival mode and all she wants to do is protect her children from their evil father. When the Danson brothers say they are going to help. Hallie doesn't know if she can trust then. There is spice, suspension, trauma throughout the book that you going to want to know what's going to happen. This is definitely a 10/10 read so so good.

Careless No-No's

A great read but with some bad faux pas'.

The three fellas were not in the Navy SEALs, because they ARE former SEALs. In RL, they describe it as "in the Teams.

Never call that "can" at the end of the barrel a silencer in the presence ANY SpecOps or SF. It's a suppressor.

As for this bit, "Go to body heat"? It's known as thermal.

It just really chafes my hide when there is the incorrect use of military terms, or the absence of....

There's more, but will pass up further explanation. That part during the rescue towards the end was like the clown car with the Keystone Cops in it.

The story itself was not bad. As for the technical aspects regarding military jargon, I give it an 'F'.....made me grimace quite a bit.

I still recommend it, however.

This was a great story. The three guys were strong and alpha but all very different.

When Halle's diner burns down and also leaves her and her kids homeless, three firefighters take her in. Wyatt, Eric and Chase.

All the guys were different and had different associations with Halle and her kids. They meant a lot to her, taking them in and looking out for her. But also the steamy moments that happened enhanced the dynamic.

Very well done, it was a great story with great writing style that's easy to read. And characters that are engaging.

This book was so amazing I picked it up and could not put it down until I finished it. This book was about a single mom of two kids hiding from her ex-husband and she met these three amazing firemen from there. The story just became so spicy and you could see them build their love, but now without some challenges, there was still the ex-husband, the crazy mother-in-law, some secrets a lot of communication forgiveness and the heroes were very protective. I highly recommend reading this book. Eric, Chase, Wyatt and Hallle deserved the HEA.

Halle is scared for both her children and her, but returning to her hometown made the most sense. Her ex-husband is psychotic and wants her back or dead. As she soon learns when they come close to perishing in a fire. The Danson Brothers Wyatt, Chase and Eric are the Firefighters who save them, the three already felt protective and possessive of the young family before learning someone is out to hurt them. The brothers share everything and have no issue claiming them as theirs. Even if it seems hard for Helena to wrap her head and heart around trusting the brothers and the dynamic offered.

This book has it all! Cute kids, sexy men, hot lovin’ and danger! Halle is trying to have de from her abusive ex and when her job ends due to a fire and she has to move in with Chase, Eric and Wyatt, the firemen who saved her and the kids it comes out that they had feelings for her and she admits she had a crush on them too. They do their best to keep her safe and when Colby gets her anyway, they did what it took to get her and the kids back.

It was very hard to put this back ok down and was very pleased with it.

An amazing reverse harem story. Halle is running from her abusive ex husband. When the diner she works at catches fire she is saved by three firemen brothers Eric, Chase and Wyatt. As tge diner was were she lived as well, Halle has no place to stay. Eric, Chase and Wyatt take her ti their house to stay. But now her ex is back and he wants her. Her ex mother in law is threatening to take her kids away and her ex is threatening to kill her. Will Eric, Chase and Wyatt save her? Loved reading their story. Thanx.

Timelines are terrible...

I did like the storyline...
Abusive ex, hunky firemen (ex military), their helpful mother and father, plus a job.
Rescuing her and her kids from a deadly fire.
And a place to stay!
The fear, anger, mistrust, violence, and romance... I read the book and saw the movie in my head.
Colby mothers name slips... Harriet was Helen a few times.
Shauna did not have to come back for me, but I guess it gave her closure.
All in all, it ended on a good note... I wish they had mentioned Luna and Sammy in therapy, even if briefly for all the trauma to those little characters.

This was an exciting and captivating story.

I love a good RH, and add in kids and some danger... so great!

Halle was a bit ... naive, perhaps ... in the way she kept putting herself and her kids in danger by not remaining hidden. Would have liked to slap her, myself.

Otherwise, the characters were fantastic; very likable. Chase, Eric and Wyatt were great. Loved each in their own way. So, wonderful characters, engaging plot that keeps you hanging until the end... Great read that t I highly recommend.
