Disappearance on Route 6 by Ashley Bundy Narrated by Christina Fountain 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 One night, one wrong move, one family will never be the same!
Another great thriller/mystery story from this author! It’s full of twists, turns and surprises! I was hooked from start to finish with the intrigue and excitement. Stacy, a diligent reporter, is determined to find some answers to what happened on a cold case from long ago. A car is pulled from a lake and Stacy feels it’s the break she needs to get more information on this mysterious case.
Jaw drop at the ending!
I was lucky to listen to the audio version and the narrator did an excellent job! Really made the story come to life! *I recommend the read/listen!!*
If you’re looking for a mystery that keeps you on your toes, Disappearance on Route 6 by Ashley Bundy delivers. Early on, Bundy hooks you with Stacey Branch’s car troubles—cleverly tied to the car issues of the first victim. This small but smart connection sets the tone for a story filled with layers and surprises. The banter between Stacey and her brother is fun and relatable, providing light-hearted moments that balance out the darker elements of the plot. And let’s talk about Stacey’s snarky friend, Ellie—her sharp wit and unique voice really stand out, adding depth and a bit of sass to the story. One of my favorite things about this book is how so many chapters end with a question or twist that makes it impossible not to keep reading. Bundy weaves in a subtle, almost supernatural vibe that keeps you wondering if there’s something “Other” just below the surface. The pacing is spot-on, with plenty of “Whoa, I didn’t see that coming!” moments that make you want to devour the next chapter immediately. Ashley nails the characters, especially the mother—when her true nature is revealed. The characters’ reactions and responses feel real and grounded, which makes the suspense and tension hit even harder. And when the characters themselves are asking, “What happens next?” you can bet the reader is, too.
Overall, Disappearance on Route 6 is a page-turner with a realistic cast, sharp dialogue, and twists that keep you guessing until the end. If you’re in the mood for a small-town mystery packed with secrets, snark, and suspense, this one’s for you. Highly recommend!
I love a good, juicy mystery and this one pulled me in immediately. I couldn't wait to dive back in every night. I needed to see how they cracked the missing persons case and how it wrapped up --the clues uncovered a mysterious myriad of secrets -- yet I didn't want it to end. Isn't that the best book dilemma? I geeked out when a crossover from Ashley's other books popped up. Just wait til you see that scene! This is well-written, lively, and the characters felt real. I liked news reporter Stacey's nosiness ( I'm nosy and curious too) and the bold way she goes about her " beat, " getting evidence for her stories. She also has an uncanny intuition that takes things to new heights, and there's an interesting love/hate heat between her and officer Easton Gates--a taboo fraternization as it is. Most of the folks in this are likeable, and the ones who aren't, are that way for a reason. You'll see.
Stacey Branch is a 27 year old small town reporter who has just managed to stumble on the biggest story of her career. When the car of a woman reported missing in 1996 is pulled from a pond near her home town, Stacey is forced to face both ghosts and a strong intuition in her quest for answers.
Her search for the truth places her directly in the path of danger, and into the arms of local Police Officer Easton Gates. Together, and aided by her unique gift, they work to uncover over two decades of buried lies, secrets, and crimes. When the story breaks, Stacey's life will never be the same.
This is one of the most intriguing and riveting suspense thrillers I've read in years. The action carries the story along beautifully, and the twists just kept coming.
I can't recommend this one enough. I will definitely be reading the rest of this author's work.
The story hooked me right away, and I couldn’t put it down—I finished it in one sitting! The writing was fast-paced, and the mystery was gripping, even though the first twist was pretty easy to figure out.
However, the last quarter of the book left me frustrated. While I was eager to see how everything would play out, the ending didn’t give me the closure I was hoping for. I typically like to walk away from a story with at least one aspect of the resolution that I appreciate, but this one just didn’t hit the mark for me.
That said, the journey was undeniably captivating, and the author has a knack for keeping the reader turning the pages. If you’re looking for a quick, suspenseful read and don’t mind endings that don’t go the way you want them to, this could be a great pick for you.
Disappearance on Route 6 is everything I love in a mystery. Ashley Bundy has a way of writing that completely immerses you in the world—so much so that I felt like I was right there beside Stacey, uncovering secrets buried for decades.
The pacing is sharp, the atmosphere eerie, and every twist kept me turning the pages late into the night. Stacey is a compelling lead, and I loved following her determination as the case pulled her deeper into danger.
I absolutely love when an author can draw me so fully into a story that I forget everything else, and Bundy does that effortlessly. This book has small-town secrets, decades-old mysteries, and a chilling sense of suspense that builds to the very end.
Highly recommend for anyone who craves a thrilling, immersive mystery!
Brilliant narration from Christina Fountain, brings the drama, suspense and characters to your ears. Perfect.

✩°。⋆⸜ 🎧✮ Audiobook Review! ✩°。⋆⸜ 🎧✮ This was my first book by Ashley Bundy, and I’m already looking forward to more. This is an excellent thriller. I really enjoyed the intrigue, the mystery, and the unexpected twists. Stacey’s investigation is gripping and kept me hooked from start to finish. The cast of characters is strong and well developed. Christina Fountain did a fantastic job bringing the story to life with clear and distinct character voices. A perfect pairing — the author’s words and the narrator’s voice work so well together. If you enjoy thrillers, this one is definitely worth a listen.
Another fabulous read from Ashley Bundy. This was a well written thriller with so many twists and turns that grabs the reader from the first page.
Stacey is an investigative reporter trying to find the next big story. When a car is removed from a lake in her small town, she thought she would take a chance. Little does she know she is in for the ride of a lifetime. she makes connections to a 90s cold case and things turn weird.
this one kept me guessing with every turn of the page. and in turn Ashley Bundy fashion, the jaw-dropping ending. But don't take my word for it. Grab this one and see for yourself.
I love mystery & suspense! This one kept me guessing. Some I got right. Some I was totally off about. My heart broke for Susanna. Her story was so sad. Stacey wouldn’t rest until she uncovered everything. I really didn’t like Marty & Sherry. Horrible people. Easton was awesome. Gavin. We’re not talking about Gavin. Not happy there. I love the time at Blackwood Manor. I’m assuming the guy checking her in was Gus. I love Gus. When I finally got time to sit and read. I couldn’t stop reading until I finished it. Hope more books follow.
Wow I love a good thriller suspense, and this got all the vibes I was looking for. The story was excellent! Flower so smooth I just kept turning the pages. Devoured it in just a few hours! The main character Stacey is so smart and I really loved her! All other characters filled in perfectly, plot twists and revelations were awesome! The end hinting on another book???!! I hope so!! Because I seriously would read more installments it this becomes a series
A fateful night would lead a family on a journey no one could expect. Stacy the reporter is like a dog with a bone. And what a tangled web this woman uncovers. This book has more twists and turns than the fateful Route 6. Crooked cops, and false identities. Lies and truths uncovered. I loved the little crossover. Another amazing book from Ashley!
Ashley Bundy is an exceptional author and never disappoints with her books! I could not put this book down and kept me in suspense up until the end...loved this book and would most definitely recommend this book to everyone!
This is an exciting page turner filled with twists and turns at every corner. If you love a good mystery that will keep you guessing, I can not recommend this book enough. So curl up and take a ride down Route 6.
I really enjoyed this mystery, so many layers. I stayed up late listening to it and then started listening this morning as soon as I could. The narrator did a good job with so many characters to voice.
4 stars. Digital book. Saw some twists, didn’t see others. A solid read if you can get past the grammatical errors and the glaring plot hole of Stacey not recognizing the house or neighborhood or neighbors in California where she definitely lived for multiple years.

Great thriller to curl up with. I enjoyed the buildup and jump scares. Great story and use of timelines. What happened in the past and present. Then how those fed the reader the bits of the story until at last the reader could put the big picture together. Highly recommend.
I was not ready for where this book led. I did figure out one small piece of the puzzle early but as things began to unfold, I found there was plenty I hadn't pieced together! I really enjoyed this book!
