I love the idea of this book. Especially around Steve’s life. I would have like to see more added in about his work life. I’m not also not sure how long and accurate and drawn out some of the speeches he got seem. I also would’ve like it to be focused on the Lord but overall really great book! Especially for those struggling with feeling the need to measure up
Good book about a man whose life and especially his marriage is in the process of collapsing. The problems and the collapse are fairly well detailed and explored through a couple of strong characters but the ending seems rushed and weaker than the first two thirds. Still a good read and some solid points on the importance of authentic relationships and a solid foundation for one’s self image to be deeply rooted in faith and grace.
Highly recommend! This book flew by and had a very great story. It had me question and pray a lot about why I am the way I am. I have since given it to a friend (who has given it to a friend when he completed it.)
At some point most of us are Stephen while we are young. As we learn how to navigate life we mature into Andy and help the next generation of Stephens.
Enjoy the journey and let others see the real you.
