Noah Hastings has taken our families’ feud too far, and the divide between us is now so firmly cemented there’s no going back.
I’m trying to move on, but it seems Noah has only just begun toying with me and my heart.
He still has more secrets, and he’s not the only person hiding something from me. But as I dig deeper, and the truth is finally revealed, I’m torn between the boy I thought was in my past and the one I believed was my future.
I’m facing heartbreak once again, but there’s an even bigger threat on the horizon that I could never see coming — one that could ruin us all.
Sweet Ruin is the third book in the Weybridge Academy series and the final part of Isobel's story, which comes to a complete and dramatic conclusion. Enjoy!

You know, I feel like I’ve been harsh about this authors writing style in past reviews. I feel like I should really drive home the point that she is a good writer, and it’s so impressive to be able to write series like she does that stay entertaining. Not every book has to be considered high literature, not every author needs to write something shakespearian to be considered talented at what they do. I just want to make it clear that I’m never discrediting the amount of effort and time that goes into writing a book, with any of my reviews. So I’m not going to go into detail on how I feel about the plot structure or anything this time, and I’m gonna keep the review mostly positive:)
With that being said, I did love this book! The plot might feel all over the place at times, but that’s what makes it so fun. Like we got an epic snowball fight between the dorms, a SKI TRIP! And multiple other scenes that just helped to immerse you in the world she created at Weybridge.
I love so many of these characters, and I will be holding out hope for a Luther and Anna spin-off.
I will say, I do hate that Isobel and the second-lead’s relationship ended how it did. I hate when a good friendship has to be ruined because it’s a plot device, and especially when an amazing character has to go down with it. He was still a good character the whole time, but not like he was the first two books. It kind of just made me not love either relationship as much. But Cress and Kaden are adorable, so that was an upside.
This book made me lose my mind, and I was just yelling “What?” throughout the whole thing, but I had such a fun time, and the drama and comedy still hit. I’m just really attached to the side-characters and am definitely going to miss reading about their lives.
Man i love published wattpad books. This was mad funny.
I mean having the evil villain grandpa was peak telenovela vibes. Bro was mad at someone? Burn them down. They stole something from him? Burn them down. She wants to date your grandson? Burn them down.
Like if you wanna murder and attempted murder a bunch of people at least change your strategy grandpa.
He was definitely the best part of the book.
As i predicted, the author tried to make the 2nd male lead a jealous mean weirdo to make the boring ass male lead look bearable. But it was so out of the blue i couldn’t take it seriously.
Plus how can i take anything serious when im supposed to believe everyone is in love the y/n (rayita) babe? Like girly is apparently smart but i see no evidence of this.
Plus this is a book aimed at preteens/teens and even kids so i think it’s awful for them to see our « strong » protagonist forgive ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE with just a few words.
Hometown bestie stole her boyfriend, turned her friends against her and made fun of her? Forgiven with 3 phrases.
Boyfriend that is a coward, lied to her, made her feel awful, left her bc evil grandpa said so and dated her bully? Forgiven after a few insistent stiff and a car ride.
Her dad that made her bf lie to her and deceive her? Forgiven.
You get the idea.
And she did this also with the boarding school bully because she said a few kind words after she gave her tea?!?! And also to her male friends that ghosted her?!?!
Like i get you have no personality, have protagonist armour, trip over everything (like im bad at sports and even i aren’t as pitiful), be painfully boring, dumb and now also a doormat??? Girly need to get a grip.
The drama was too jammed packed with useless filler plot and the characters were like not there? I mean i JUST finished this and I can’t remember anything other than mafia wannabe grandpa and her getting back with mr boring.
So i guess this was entertaining but also like it could be the worst rated telenovela episode.
I also came to realise that the timeline is giving vampire diaries and Disney channel. That deep intense relationship she had with the ml in the first book? It lasted 2 weeks max. Everything in book one was 2 months max. (With the assumption the school year started in august and not in September)
Her relationship with the 2nd male lead was much longer as it it last like 1 or even 1 and half months.
i actually really liked this series and i am now obsessed with boarding school romances but this book just tries to make you hate wes. it was praying on his downfall just so that noah and isobel can get back together after TWO BOOKS after they dated for a week in the first book. logistically wes and isobel dated for longer in this series. how was the timeline of this trilogy only a few months but the last five chapters seemed so rushed 😲
My Review: Sweet Ruin is the final installment in the Weybridge Academy series.
About the Book: Noah and Isobel have been through so much. They have faced major challenges, but now “the start of something great" is theirs. Fate had its way in their lives...and in the lives of those they hold dear.
My Final Say: Perfect! There were no loose ends. Love triumphed.
UGH! This book was so good until the fire. I Thought it was written perfectly. I was so invested in the story my heart hurt when Noah started to intentionally hurt/betray Isobel. I also was so happy with the plot originally because everything was happening exactly as I wanted it to but without it being annoying or predictable. I just really did not think the fire and William's attempt to shoot Isobel fit the story. I get that he was looking for revenge and to hurt Noah, but it just did not fit with the rest of the book. I also wish the reunion between Noah and Isobel happened differently. I wanted it to be made a bigger deal than it was. Other than that, chef's kiss! Really sad this series is over :(

Forget every bad thing I’ve ever said about the series because this was INCREDIBLE. 🤯🤯🤯🤯 Noah Hastings…the man that you are. 😩 Bit of a spoiler, but SAVING HER FROM A BURNING BUILDING, and TAKING A BULLET FOR HER is absolutely insane.
Yes okay, this was NOT a great series. The writing style, characters, and timeline were... erm... not top notch. But it was a fine palette cleanser, because I had been in a reading slump for a while. Nothing gets you out of it better than a bad book, I always say ;)
3.75* honestly I enjoyed this book the most out of all three and it’s quenched my inner teenager. I knew I was a sucker for drama but this gave me a bit of action too which was fun. Honestly if you like a romance book without the spice and just the giddy loved up feeling you’ll probably love these books. The writing is super easy to read too!
The book came today out today and i finished it in one day! Really nice ending to the series. A little hard to get over the 50 percent since she was still with wes and it was a back and forth with Noah. But after that it was really addicting and i couldnt put the book down!
oh my goodness what a journey this series has been ESPECIALLY this last one. literally nothing can prepare for the absolute slap in the face wild and abrupt amount of plot twists towards the end of the book that was actually insane and i want nothing more than justice for wes
Omg, omg, I NEED FRIENDS LIKE ANNA AND CRESS LIKE I'M SUPER SERIOUS RIGHT NOW.
CRESS DIDN'T DUMB HER LIFETIME CRUSH, KADEN BECAUSE APPARENTLY, HE IGNORED ISOBEL DURING CLASSES BECAUSE OF HIS FRIENDSHIP WITH NOAH. LIKE ARE YOU EVEN REAL? I WANT THESE KINDS OF FRIENDS AROUND ME. I REALLY DO.
AND OMG, KADEN AND CRESS LOOK SO GOOD TOGETHER.
And Veronica is not as Bad as she shows. I really feel bad about her, about hating her.
And omg, that PAYBACK REVENGE WAS SUPER AMAZING. I WANT TO RE-CREATE THAT.
Omg, omg, and hell because Luther is super adorable and funny with everything he did to get forgiven by Isobel.
And omg, with this the series comes to an END. AND I CAN'T REALLY STOP CRYING BECAUSE NOW I CAN'T READ IT FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER AGAIN. I'M SOBBING AND MY MOM'S SHOUTING 😭 BUT WHAT DO I DO? HOW DO I TELL HER THAT THIS ISN'T JUST A BOOK. IT WAS LITERALLY EVERYTHING.
HOW DO I EXPRESS EVERY. SINGLE. EMOTION. I FELT READING THIS. HOW?!
This was the very last page Not where the storyline ends My thoughts will echo your name Until I cry again.
And with this, I finally gained some little courage to close this book.
2.75 Stars Am I the only one who is upset we didn't get a Frank and Norma update?
This series was so entertaining. I didn't like the main couple very much, but they are happy, so I guess it's fine. I want justice for Wes; he didn't deserve anything that went down, and I am kinda upset by that. Luther, as always, was an icon. The last five or so chapters were pure emotional whiplash. I couldn't process the one thing before we moved on to the next. Super happy Veronica actually got some character in this book, as she was lacking any and all depth in the last one. Overall, a chaotic but oddly fun time.
The name of the game was self sabatoge and drama but the ending I expected. The series was a good read and honestly would make a great netflix series. It's only rated a 3 for how much I was annoyed by characters this book.
it was actually a reallyyy good series! the last few chapters just lacked what was so good about the book like the girls friendship and noah and isobels dynamic so after such a solid series giving gossip girl and maxton hall i was slightly underwhelmed but overall still love it
This book literally had me on the edge of my seat!! The heartbreak & angust in this between Isobel and Noah I just wanted them to finally be happy. Isobel’s mom & dad immediately yesss i’m so happy they got together.
It was okay. I’m really happy that Noah and Isobel had their happy ending. But the ending just felt rushed. Overall the series was good but the first one was the best.
My ranking of the books in the series: 1. Sweet Heartbreak 2. Sweet ruin 3. Sweet Temptation
