Jaxon Thorne doesn’t believe in second chances. Not for someone like him. He screwed up too many times, burned too many bridges, and paid the price in prison. Now he’s at Valor Ridge, a remote Montana ranch for broken veterans, trying to keep his head down and his past buried. His only plan is to train dogs, stay sober, and survive the silence. Then he meets her–the café owner with wary eyes and a kid who looks at Jax like he’s a hero.
A single mom on the run.
Vanessa “Nessie” Harmon is doing everything she can to stay invisible. New name. New town. New life. She clawed her way out of hell for the sake of her son, and Solace, Montana, is supposed to be safe. Quiet. A place where no one asks too many questions. But when her past catches up to her, there’s only one man dangerous enough to protect them.
A second chance at redemption... if they survive long enough to take it.
Jax is not sure he’s built for this kind of fight anymore, but for Nessie, he’ll try. Because while Valor Ridge may have started as penance, he’s starting to believe it could become something more—a place to belong, a family he never knew he wanted, and a brotherhood he thought he’d never have again.
Finding His Redemption is the first book in the gritty, emotional Valor Ridge series. With protective heroes, loyal K9s, and a fierce sense of found family, this small-town romantic suspense will grab your heart and never let go.
Tonya Burrows wrote her first romance at age thirteen and hasn't put down her pen since. Originally from a small town in Western New York, she suffers from a bad case of wanderlust and is still searching for a place to call home. She shares her adventures with her husband, two adorable doodles, and Scribble the Writer Cat.
When she's not writing about hunky military heroes and their courageous K9s, Tonya can be found watching either true crime or baking shows while snuggled up on the couch with her furbabies. She also enjoys traveling—especially long road trips to see the National Parks.

Oh wow! This book draw me in and I couldn’t stop to put it down! The location, character and the writing for me were all pure perfection!
The characters in this book, had my heart- I just adored them. I didn’t know how Tonya could get me to like Jax, but my goodness, throughout this book I loved him! He was so remorseful and he completely to me redeemed himself.
I loved Nessie and Oliver- I’m so happy that the 3 of them have found their home.
All the guys at Valor Ridge seem to have stories to share that I know will break my heart! I’m loving the glimpses we have of them so far and can’t wait for their books to come out.
Overall this was a brilliant book and has set the scene perfectly for future books in this series.
I feel like there are no words strong enough to express how special this book was to me! It went straight to my list of 2025 favorites without a doubt!
I absolutely loved everything about this story, from the adorable little Oliver, to Echo, Old Susy, the enigmatic Jax, and of course, Vanessa! Every character brought something unique to the narrative and contributed to the emotional richness of the book.
This book truly surprised me, especially when I found out that Jax had been the villain in another story by the author (which I definitely want to read now!). It was extraordinary to follow his journey of redemption! I never expected to feel so emotional about his healing process. The author did a brilliant job showing that behind terrible actions, there can be pain, regret, and a genuine desire to change.
Another aspect that really touched me was the friendship between Jax and the other men at Valor Ridge. They all have dark pasts, ex-criminals who, despite their mistakes, have found a second chance in this community. The way they support each other without judgment is so moving, and it sends such a powerful message about forgiveness and starting over. It’s impossible not to grow attached to this unlikely group!
Oliver, with his disarming innocence, plays a key role in showing that even “monsters” can be saved with love, patience, and understanding. I just wish we had seen a little more of their past because I feel like there are still some unanswered questions there. Still, the connection between the three, Jax, Nessie, and Oliver, was so beautiful and touching it completely melted my heart!
An intense and emotional story, where the past isn’t ignored but faced head-on, with complex characters and a very human portrayal of what it means to make mistakes… and try to be better. A story of pain, healing, hope, and love!
Absolutely amazing story! What a kickoff to this new series! Jaxon Thorne certainly redeems himself and more! But boy did he have to go through some stuff to get there. Unfortunately, some people like the sheriff just don’t want to believe in redemption or that people can change. I kept falling more in love with Jax the deeper I got into his story, and trust me it was easy. The way he wants to be a better man, the way he is with Nessie and her son Oliver, who is just adorable. I love how they fall for each other but Jax show vulnerability because he doesn’t think he deserves her and Oliver. He is so protective of them and I love how he shows that. Those are his true colors, not his past. Things get rocky more than once but they all get through it. The other guys at the Ridge rally to help and it’s just so awesome. Finding a purpose and love is the best redemption ever. I enjoyed this book so much! Love Jax, Nessie, Oliver, and of course Echo. Love all the guys from Valor Ridge and can’t wait for their stories.
I’ve been dying for Jaxon’s story since his role in Shane & Alexis’ story in Redwood Coast Rescue, and oh my word. This man. He was very much not in his right mind when we first met him, and my heart just shattered for everything he’s been through. The ways he doesn’t feel he deserves any goodness. Enter Nessie. I love the way she saw him, saw beyond his mistakes and crimes and saw his pain and that he was so much more than his past. I loved watching him with Oliver. I loved the way Jax showed up for Nessie, and showed her she wasn’t on her own anymore. I loved all the guys from Valor Ridge–some of their dynamics are so fun, and I cannot wait for all of their stories! I absolutely loved this one, and am so excited to see where this new series goes!!!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. There’s so much going on in this story that I wouldn’t know what else to say than fantastic. Nessi is on the run for several yrs. Always on the brink of packing up and getting whisked away by her handler. When Jaxon shows up, she’s basically the only one not judging him (besides her sun and Jaxon’s fellow guys from the Ridge). There’re frankly two stories going on in this one. A murder-case that has to be solved and Nessie’s past catching up on her. Unfortunately, the sheriff has his own agenda and doesn’t quite care about the people he swore to protect. Needless to say, a very great start of a promising series.
This book has it all! A great story with lots of suspense and romance, along with characters you can’t help but cheer for. I could not put it down. The writing was raw and beautifully expressed the pain the main character goes through to find his redemption. Another reason to keep reading Tonya Burrows! I look forward to reading the rest of this new series. All the guys have unique stories and I can’t wait to read the rest.
Finding his Redemption is the first book in the new Valor Ridge series and boy did I love this one! We already met Jaxon in Shane and Alexis' story in the Redwood Coast Redwood series where he was the bad guy and I've wanted him to have his own story so badly. Thank God Tonya gave it to us and what a story it was!
Jaxon is such a troubled soul, released from prison after doing time for 5 years, he's taken in by Walker at the Valor Ridge ranch. A place where ex-cons can build a new life amongst the animals. He thinks the worst of himself, doesn't feel like he deserves anything good or happy in his life let alone Nessie, the lovely baker in town.
Nessie's on the run with her son Oliver who's the cutest boy ever. She escaped from an abusive marriage and is trying to start a new life. Right from the start there's a connection between both, Nessie really 'sees' Jaxon as he is and does everything she can to make him see and understand that he is worth loving. Of course she has secrets too and when Jaxon fnds out she's still being threatened, he vows to keep her safe.
I loved how slowly but surely they grew closer, the love between them came naturally even though Jaxon still held back, thinking he didn't deserve Nessie's love. I loved Oliver so much, he's such a sweet little boy, wise for his age because of what he's already been through in his young life.
It was great to see Jaxon forming a super close bond to Echo, a blue merle who's as traumatized as he is. Seeing how she starts to trust him and becoming his best friend made me tear up several times. The banter between all the Valor Ridge residents was hilarious at times and I can't wait to see each of them getting their own happy end.
Tonya already gave us a little preview in who's of the next book which will be Ghost's. I can't wait to get my hands on his story!
*ARC kindly received from the author via Bookfunnel. I'm leaving an honest review.*
This is one of the most outstanding books I have ever read in my 70 years on this earth! The title says it all. Jaxon Thorne was one of the bad guys in her pervious Redwood Coast Rescue. He did really bad things to the heroine in Searching for His Redemption. Any author who can take such a villain, and turn him into a hero that you're truly pulling for, is outstanding in my book. This book tugs at your heart over and over again not just for the hero but also for the heroine, Vanessa Harmon. She's in the Witness Protection. Her darling son, Oliver almost steals the book. This is the most outstanding story of love, sacrifice and redemption I have ever read.
Jaxon Thorn has found himself at Valor Ridge after his five year prison sentence is over. Walker Nash founded Valor Ridge Ranch in Solace Montana for broken veterans and abused dogs needing love and training to be service dogs. He hand chooses his men giving them a second chance and a new brotherhood family to belong to. Jaxon is not sure he deserves a do over but life doesn't let him run away. He's clean and sober and healing from his severe PTSD and survivor's guilt from an op gone really bad in Afghanistan. While walking away from the ranch his first morning he encounters Vanessa "Nessie" Harmon on the road with a flat tire. At his heart he's a protector and find himself changing her tire and accepting a ride into town. This starts the most remarkable journey for these two to begin healing and trusting others.
Vanessa is really Genessa-Rae Sarkisian, wife of a controlling human trafficker who isolated and hurt her. She agreed to give evidence against him in exchange for witness protection and a chance to start over with her 3 year old son Oliver. That was four years ago and she now owns and operates a bakery & coffee shop in small town Solace Montana. Her mantra is "stay quiet, stay invisible, protect Oliver". She doesn't know it but she has friends in Solace now. Friends that will help her when trouble happens. When she meets Jaxon she immediately sees someone who isn't the monster he thinks he is. Over and over she shows him the heart he has under the hurt.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Holy smokes, what a read and an absolute must read on second chances and finding something to fight for to be a better person. Jax is not the same man from years ago after hurting someone when not in his right mind, he’s done his time, the therapy, and knows what he did was very very wrong. He doesn’t believe he deserves anything and still feels the guilt and self loathing of what he used to be. Now he’s out and has been granted a spot at Valor Ridge in a small town, where ex military/law enforcement go for a chance after prison. One night is all it takes before he leaves and runs into Nessie and her son Oliver, while walking away from the ranch. Nessie sees the broken man he is but also the softie through his interactions with her son. She knows where he is from and who the ranch has as “guests” but she also knows what evil looks like…and Jax is not it. She has all great reasons to stay away from him but ends up involved when she is his alibi and she garners the attention of the Sherrif. Coming to her defence ends Jax in trouble and her past catches up to her which leaves her backing off from him…until Oliver brings them back together and all their secrets are revealed. This read had me hooked from page one and had me feeling all the feels with a few teary eyed moments. Jax….oh my Jax…didn’t think he could be redeemed but woweeeeeee…his vulnerability and thinking he was no good and didn’t deserve happiness but then the way he treats Nessie, Oliver and Echo…deserving of a second chance. Nessie, a woman with a sordid past with a young boy, who is kind, selfless, compassionate and a strong woman after all she has been through….couldn't stop reading once I started. Suspense, steam, secrets exposed, humour, surprises, twists and turns, amazing characters and animals….can’t wait for the rest of the Valor men to get their stories!!! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
I LOVED this book! And I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
I admit, I was a little skeptical about a bunch of paroled ex-cons being compelling heroes--not just sexy brutes, but three-dimensional men with complex emotions who are absolutely reliable as heroes to trust your heart with. I should have trusted Ms. Burrows. I loved her PTSD-ridden characters in her Redwood Coast Rescue series (I was sad to see that end.). This new Valor Ridge series is a spin-off of those books, featuring one of the bad guys who is convicted and serves most of his time, Jaxon Thorne. He a veteran Navy SEAL who saw too much, then came back and let alcohol, drugs and violence rule his life in the Redwood Coast series. Jax, like the other men at Valor Ridge, are selected to serve out their parole near the small town of Solace, Montana. They live and work on Walker Nash's ranch, fighting with suspicious townsfolk, their troubled pasts, and occasionally each other.
Now clean and sober, but still unsure he has any worth, Jax struggles to find a purpose. Although this is clearly Jax's story of redemption (with the help of a single-mom in WITSEC, her 7 year-old son, and a damaged dog named Echo), we're introduced to a full cast of characters with distinct personalities and issues to overcome. We get glimpses of future heroes and heroines, and I can't wait for their stories. It was wonderful to see the men of Valor Ridge bonding as friends and teammates, and Jax's relationship with little Oliver is a real treat. If you're in trouble near Solace, I'd count on these misfits to back me up before I'd trust the local sheriff.
There is some deep stuff here, so if you're looking for a light and fluffy read, this isn't it. But if you love deeply emotional characters, taut suspense and danger, and a good mystery, I highly recommend this book.
Oh i love this series, spin off, it's the first instalment of the Valor Ridge adventures but it's so, so promising. Jaxon does not believe he deserves a second chance after what happened in afghanistan and after what he did to his last teammates.... he does not fully realise that he was a victim as well ....so when he is sent in a ranch for a probation he does not want to stay....doesn't want friends....but some friends choose you not matter what you want and working with puppies is really a talent Jaxon has....
However if some are willing to let give him a chance, others are jumping at the opportunity of a ex convict to put the blame on no matter how absurd the charge are and the lack of proof. Jaxon will need a team and he will see that even if tried to avoid it he already has one in the Valor Ridge team...and with Nessie and her son.
I loved how Vanessa despite her hurts was still open to other and her son is so, so cute, she is perfect for Jaxon even if she is bringing bagages as well...
I loved how the guys were trying to be respectful of Jaxon lack of trust at first but were still in his corner were needed. Really i can't wait to discover more about the other characters and their canine or horse partner.
Really it's a wonderful romance suspense full of emotions, will lot of action and some steamy scenes as well. You can read it without any precedent books or series it's work as stand alone, though i hope to see a reconnection between jaxon and shane in the future. Really you will just want more
Finding His Redemption is a spin off of her Redwood Coast Rescue series, and while it could be read as a standalone, Jax's redemption will have even more impact if you've read Searching for Redemption and know where he started out in this world...honestly, if you had told me when I finished that book that Jax would be a future hero, IDK if I would have thought it possible.
Oh, it was so possible!
Nessa and Jax's story was an absolute page turner--two people with such traumatic pasts, neither of whom is entirely convinced at the start of the book that they will ever even have an HEA...already my catnip. Throw in some well-written suspense and a collection of secondary characters that clearly are there to keep me coming back to future series books? I'm sold.
I mean, seriously--the guys of Valor Ridge? without exception need to have their own books. ASAP. If you're a fan of characters with complicated histories, romantic suspense, and dogs, add this to your TBR yesterday!
Rating: 4 1/2 stars / A
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
First paragraph of the book and I was HOOKED. although to be fair, I've been rooting for Jaxon for quit a while now and the epilogue of Searching for Valor sealed the deal. But those first sentences in Finding His Redemption were all I needed to be completely done for. I probably could've written an entire review just for the first chapter. That's how hard it went right for my heart.
Jax has become my absolute favorite Tonya Burrows character. Which, looking at the competition, is no small thing. He is so utterly raw and completely honest.
Trust Tonya to turn one of her 'villains' into the greatest hero of them all. I LOVE it!
And I absolutely adore her for not shying away from giving her MMC a realistic range of feelings instead of only stoic determination. Why shouldn't a man cry when experiencing heartbreak or utter happiness?
I could go on and on and on about how much I love this book. There was not a single thing that I would criticize. On the contrary. Every single piece of Finding His Redemption deserves the highest praise.
I already don't want this new series to ever end.
Can you tell that I am head over heals for this book after reading my review? Not at all, right? But then, I can't rave enough about this beautiful story.
Finding His Redemption is a very exciting romantic suspense novel introducing us to Jaxon Thorne, and the men of Valor Ridge. Jaxon has PTSD from his military duties in Afghanistan, and he is an ex-con after an attempted murder when he was high on drugs and alcohol. After five years in prison, he is sent to Valor Ridge for six months to give him purpose and guidance. You screw up and you’re back in jail.
It’s a small quiet town in Montana. Nessie and her son Oliver live in Solace. She owns and operates a bakery, and lives above the shop in an apartment. Her life is quiet, which makes her happy and Oliver (7 years old) enjoys school and many imaginary animals, including three feral cats that live in there backyard. Driving home one evening she realizes she has a flat tire. While deciding what to do next, a man walks by, and offers to change it. She has serious reasons to not trust men, but she feels he is no danger. He fixes her tire, and she gives him a ride to town and coffee. This event will change her and Oliver’s life, along with Jaxon Thorne’s who was walking away from Valor Ridge.
I enjoyed this first in the series, a looking forward to the next.
Valor Ridge is basically a halfway house for ex-cons in the middle of Montana. Most are ex-military, all are looking for a place to belong. Jaxon Thorne doesn’t want to be here. It is better than the last five years spent in prison. A bad op, a lost team, and spiraling created the situation that put him behind bars. Not wanting rescue, he is walking away. The nearest town Solace is a ways away.
A young woman Vanessa with a flat tire, and a precocious son change his trajectory. A changed tire, and a muffin from her bakery have him staying. Hard work, following rules and training dogs are the key to getting your head straight. Echo is his assigned dog. Cowering in the back of her cage, she will not eat or allow anyone near.
Vanessa is in witness protection and has her own demons. Valor Ridge camaraderie, the building relationship, small town grit, and small town prejudices, horses, dogs, dragons and so much more. Already planning on reading each story in this series - love it!
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
It feels like I should hate Jax for what he did in the previous series, but from some reason I can't. He's just so sad at the start of this one. The way that he bolted from the house with no plan in his head, to letting a random woman guide him, it all added up to the sad state he was in.
Funny that it was Nessie and Oliver that seemed to spark something in him. Along with Echo, they helped bring him back to life, to see that his life is worth living. Eventually the guys also grew on him and that brotherhood he knew was there.
The town scares me a bit. So much is going on, so much hidden with a lot of people that seem to be "bad", the police among them. The small battles that happened between them and the Valor Ridge guys was interesting. I thought Boone was going to go after his uncle, who totally deserved it.
And as much bad as it seems there is in the town, there was good too. I loved how everyone jumped to help Nessie when the issue with Oliver came up and towards the end when they all stepped in to help her.
It will be interesting to see where things go from here in the series.
These books really should come with all sorts of trigger warnings.
I really wanted to like this book, but Hank Goodwin’s character, along with the pastor and a couple of others, made it impossible. After the first few chapters, I pretty much skipped through just about every scene Hank Goodwin was in and considering he’s in far too much of this book, that was quite a lot. It would’ve been bearable if he was a minor character, but it seemed like he got as much page time as the MCs, if not more. Even as the antagonist, he’s in it way too much. I don’t know the last time I’ve wished for a character to be killed in a book, but that’s what I kept hoping to happen to him. This book could’ve easily been 100 pages shorter and it still would’ve had too much of Hank.
I did like the MCs, Oliver, everyone tied to Valor, and most of the side characters so I’m hopeful that we get less of Hank in future books since the series has such promise. If not, my venture into this series will be short-lived. This probably would be been 4 stars for me with less Hank, but considering I skipped so much of it because of him, it’s a 2.
I really was not expecting to be as pulled in to this as I was. From the first chapter, I was wrapped up with Jax's redemption and Nessie's peace.
I like the fact that, because these two characters have varying types of terrible pasts, it wasn't anything close to insta-love/insta-lust. There was a steady build up for the relationship so that it remained believable. Their dynamic was sweet and just angsty enough to make it painful. Honestly, the entire cast of characters that we were introduced to were fantastic. We were given just enough of a teaser for future novels, without the side characters taking over the love and suspense story going on for Nessie and Jax.
And boy, oh boy, that suspense was very well done. There was a lot going down in this small town. Several elements seemed like they were focused on Jax and/or Nessie, but there was a lot left hanging with the obvious intention of setting up for sequels. The pacing in this is pristine. The tension, both with the romance and the mystery of who is doing what nefarious hijinks, was perfect. Everything about this was the best read I could have randomly stumbled across on TikTok.
Picking up a hitch hiker and finding out he is fresh out of prison…. What could go wrong? The Villian becomes the hero in this fabulous story of true redemption. The men of Valor Ridge are broken but in their own way, kinda swoony too. With both main characters having significant life issues to overcome throughout the book, Tonya truly pulls you into the Valor Ridge world.
The perfect combination of suspense, romance, and heart tugging moments. Little Oliver just made me want to scoop him up and hug him. Fabulous book and can’t wait to dive into Ghost’s book next!
Redwood Coast Semi crossover. You can read this without reading Redwood coast but definitely enjoyed watching the transformation having read in that order. Tropes: ex-SEAL, ex-con, woman on the run, witsec, single mom, found family, small town vibes, bakery owner, imperfect MMC, overcoming obstacles, dog trainer, suspense, romance 🌶️🌶️
I received an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. My review is my own.
This book pulled me in from the start. I loved every character apart one sheriff and trust me you will want to find away to push him down the stairs. Jax finds himself on Valor Ridge Ranch. Broken, in pain, lost and a warrior. Believing he can never have peace, one dog called Echo a beautiful baker Nessie and Oliver her son slowly break down walls Nessie a single mother of a super bright and older than his ages Oliver. Nessie has her own secrets and knows a good man, when she sees one. All the men of Valour Ridge have a past, but all trying to find a new path. Brothers and protectors. Nessie has such inner strength and sees Jax not for his past but what he will be. Loved all the characters, the town of secrets, some characters you will want to shout at. Loved a certain 🐓.
I can’t wait to find more of the men of Valour RIdge, each one will take your heart.
As soon as I started the book, I knew that I was going to enjoy it. Having already met Jax through “Searching for Redemption” and “Searching for Valor,” I had a baseline knowledge of him and the depths of his horror and guilt for acts committed under the influence of drugs and depression. Nessie's willingness to accept him based on her instincts, despite her own history, surprised me enough to be intrigued. Oliver, however, stole the book… or maybe just brought the heart to it. His innocence was such a juxtaposition to the life-hardened adults around him that they had no choice but to be drawn to him, to do anything for him, including rounding up imaginary pets into carriers. Children are too often set pieces in novels; flat characters plopped into the plot to drive the MC's change. Oliver definitely was not.
Finding His Redemption takes you from gut wrenching, heart wrenching to heartwarming and HEA. The road is one with potholes and things seem insurmountable to Jax. Our ex-con given a second chance. Nessie has her own issues, some big ones and her adorable, intelligent son, Oliver. My heart was battered about and when I thought it won't hold together to finish the book, I was given glimpses of the HEA to come. Tonya always has dogs. I do have to admit Echo stole my heart. Valor Ridge book 1, sucks you in and keeps you. Your invested in not just the Valor Ride, but the town, the people and I counting the days for book 2. Thank you for the advanced copy. I freely share my honest thoughts and opinions. #FindingHisRedemption #ValorRidge #TonyaBurrows #Bookfunnel
Jaxson, a former seal and ex con, who feels he isn't worthy of kindness, love or redemption. So he is sent to Valor Ridge to serve out his parole. To outsiders it is the place of broken people and ex-cons, but to one little boy named Oliver and a dog named Echo, their hero Jax lives there. Nessie who is Oliver's Mom sees someone who is broken.
This was a wonderful book about second chances, finding a new team and a future. But danger is just around the corner and Jax has to learn how to trust again and maybe forgive himself to find his redemption.
This book was really great. I haven't enjoyed one lately as much as I did this one. It is a great start to a new series.
My thanks to Ms. Burrows and her publishers for the ARC copy and all opinions are my own.
3.5 stars I have not read any previous series by this author. So if any characters are here that had previous stories, I don’t know them. Did not detract from my enjoyment of the book. Jax is at the end of his rope, emotionally. He’s been in prison, still haunted by what he did to be there and by his war missions. Released to a halfway program in small town Montana, he can’t take it and tries to walk away. By chance, he meets Nessie, haunted single mom with so many secrets. That’s starts his redemption story. Nessie is such a blessing to Jax, to the others at the halfway farm, and to the small town. Her son Oliver is a joy throughout the book. What was pretty heavy handed was the police corruption in town. Really heavy.
Jaxon Thorne had not been a good man in a long time. The things he had done after his last deployment were unspeakable. And unforgivable, though there were people who HAD forgiven him. Jaxon just didn't think he could forgive himself.
Vanessa Harmon is trying to live her life, quietly, with her son. She has ghosts that she is running from, herself. Meeting Jaxon wasn't her plan -but she can't quite get him out of her mind. Not to mention the attachment her son now has with Jaxon.
Vanessa doesn't judge Jaxon for his past. Despite her hesitation, she sees the good in him. The two of them are drawn to one another. And manage to get each other through the difficult things.
This is such a great book. I love the complexity of Jaxon!
Finding His Redemption was an awesome start to the new Valor Ridge series. Tonya Burrows wrote the perfect blend of suspense, romance, and emotions. I could not put this book down! The characters were wonderful, and you get the instant feeling of a fun found family that will stand up for you no matter ear. Jax and Nessie are both broken souls. They help each other find trust and happiness. It is a beautiful love story. When trouble catches up with Nessie the men of Valor Ridge are there to help and protect Her and her son. Oliver and a rescue dog almost steal the show. I cannot wait for the next book.
Tonya plunges us into a raw, gripping journey of pain, guilt & hope in this spin-off. Jax & the men of Valor Ridge are broken, scarred, & haunted but never without fight. The connection between Jax, Nessie, & Oliver ignites something deep, their bond sparking warmth even in the darkest moments. Echo, all heart. The emotional weight hits hard, but it’s the hope that rises from the wreckage that steals your breath. Sharp banter, fierce camaraderie, & pulse-pounding danger, leaves you hooked, gutted, & craving more.
Powerful and emotional story that starts out this new series with a bang! Tonya always brings us grab you from page one, engaging and emotional stories - always. Finding His Redemption brings us the heartbreaking story of Jax who comes to Valor Ridge hoping to heal. Can this ranch for broken veterans give him a place to do that? Will he be able to start over and move on? My heart broke for Jax and his journey had me reading well into the wee hours of the morning. Most definitely looking forward to more books in this series.
Amazing start to the series. Lots of characters to introduce and develop and the author does it brilliantly so they aren’t caricatures. I want to read the book on each of the guys already! Great story to set the scene with several interesting twists. I had the villain narrowed down to one of two people. Love that the story didn’t abruptly end when the mystery was solved. The final chapters are a great closing to this chapter. Reading the previous series, Redwood Coast, is not necessary but it’s a great series and does set the stage for Jax.
