The things I’m willing to do in the name of science…
I’m a PhD student struggling to get by when I meet a powerful alpha with an impossible-to-refuse offer.
Finn Visser, the owner of the most elite security firm in the country, wants me to help him with a top-secret project. No expense is being spared to uncover the truth about switches – designation changes triggered by stress, danger, and arousal.
With my beta boyfriend at my side, I’m certain I’ll be able to maintain my objectivity. But this is clearly personal to my boss – and his team of alphas who never let me out of their sight.
Until I meet Soren, a beautifully tortured man and the elusive secret behind the project. One touch and my hidden designation takes over, hungry for knots, bites, and a pack of my own.
I thought this project was just a billionaire’s fantasy, but there’s no denying I’m going into heat.
Somehow, I’ve become the subject instead of the scientist, and the Visser Pack plans to test me to my limits.
The Omega Project is a standalone in the Billionaires in Heat series. ❤️ Omegaverse (reverse harem) ❤️ Sweet angst ❤️ Omega awakening ❤️ Possessive, protective mates ❤️ Steam, steam, steam!
I write the books I like to read. Not too sweet, not too dark - and never fluffy. Everyone fights for their HEA, and if it feels a little real at times, I've done my job. Because who says fantasy and reality can't be great bed-mates? If you want to slip inside the skin of my characters and love as hard as they do, come join me and like-minded readers in my Facebook Reader Group, Roxy's Readerverse.
I just remember the first and second books in this series having a lot of plot and heart. This book lacks either. For example, Soren was practically feral for a year, but one whiff of Emily and he's miraculously fine. No regression, no problem. Derek has issues trusting alphas, but he bonds four of them without issue. Emily is working on her PhD but drops her research to, checks notes, bond her faculty advisor, which no one takes issue with???, and move two hours up the coast away from her honeybee lab... It was all far too neat, and most of the conflict--Soren's illness, Emily's dad and Mom--is solved off page or within a page or two. Disappointing.
I have been waiting for this book for a while. As soon as Roxy posted the ARCs, I immediately downloaded it and started reading. I finished it between 1 and 2 am this morning because I could NOT put it down. I needed to know more about Finn Visser. Roxy did not disappoint!
Emily is a PhD student at the same university that Jackson Lyall (from The Omega Lesson) is a professor at. She is dating Derek Summers (the former roommate of Clark Robinson, first introduced in The Omega Lesson and one of the MMCs of The Omega Game). Her mentor Professor Langston Fall returns and has a project for Emily to work on. As Emily needs the money, she agrees to meet with the boss of the project, Finn Visser. As in the past, we will see switches.
I loved this book so much. I flew through it last night/ this morning, but when it comes out on Tuesday, I will be reading it more leisurely before writing my blog post for it. I think the thing that really captures me about Roxy's writing is that I pick up on new things each and every time I read her books. There's so many layers to it.
As in her previous books, expect everyone to have a relationship with one another in some manner. So if you like some MM content with your MF, then this is right up your alley.
Ever since the omega merger and the mentioning of Finn Visser, I’ve been dying to read his story.
What a perfect conclusion to the series and having the previous packs in here was an absolute bonus taking me on a trip down memory lane.
Leave it to Roxy to have a perfect balance between plot, smut and the perfect characters. Not to much angst but just enough tension to make reading feel like an exiting journey, tucked away beneath a warm cozy blanket and some hot chocolate milk.
I read an ARC of this book. Loved it especially because it is the final books in one of my all time favorite series. As the final book it was also nice to see and hear about some old favorites again. Don't worry, you don't need to read the whole series to read this book, but trust me when I say you will want to. Spice was nice but to me this book was all about the story and perfectly ties together the entire series. As always, Roxy Collins delivers another GREAT book.
Here’s the thing about being a scientist: We’re curious creatures by nature and we always want more data. We want answers, and we’ll pursue that goal as far as we can (ethically and following the Scientific Method, of course).
Emily (our FMC) doesn’t know if it’s science or fate that leads Finn Visser to offer her a well-compensated, confidential, and enticing job researching designation switches, but when her new job leads her to meet the whole reason for the project’s existence it ultimately doesn’t matter anymore. All that matters is fixing what went wrong and that will take more than both science and fate.
The Billionaires in Heat series has been one of my favorite omegaverse series over the last two years (The Omega Merger came out in April 2023). It’s how I discovered Roxy Collins in the first place and now she’s one of my auto-buy authors and a must-read when it comes to omegaverse romance. Some people have called the enigmatic Finn Visser, who has popped up as a Machiavellian character working behind the scenes in every book of this series, creepy and weird. Some speculated he might be the Big Bad. I always felt he was meant to be the ultimate hero of the series; that he always had a really good reason behind his shadow game, and he did. We got one hell of a story out of Finn, Emily, and the rest of the pack. It was more than worth it. This book was engaging, super hot, sweet, and fierce. 5 Stars

This is Roxy’s conclusion of her Billionaires in Heat Series and I was lucky to receive an early release copy.
I really enjoy omegaverse and why choose tropes and thought that this series added a creative spin to it with designation switching.
I highly recommend reading the books leading up to the series, but, you can get away with reading this as a standalone. However, this book finally focuses on Finn Visser and his pack. This character has popped up in all the previous books and the need to find out his story, connection to “switches,” and whether he is ultimately bad or good had me really intrigued!
I love getting to know the characters in POV chapters and feel like there is equal attention to individual characters. Sometimes with why choose books and many love interests, one to two characters can disappear into the background. Last, but certainly not least… those heat and flare up scenes 👀🥵🥵. Lots of spice in this book! MM scenes included.

Well…I got a hold of this author through the blood brothers series in November and became OBSESSED!! This book the the series finale and I’m very satisfied with the conclusion and wrap up from a plot point of view. I love the balance she gives with a very steamy spicey HOT book that is very satisfactory in that sense. But also has substance and intelligence and a story that peaks my intellectual appetite and still keeps the pages turning. With that being said…
This finale lost one star because I feel like it didn’t have enough pages to turn. I wanted more time with this pack. after 4 books of foreplay and teasers of the “Vise”Finn Visser I could of stayed enthralled with many many more steamy scenes with this mysterious, visceral character we have all been fantasizing over.
But his story was told and my intellectual appetite was pleased with the explanation and outcome, but my spice buds were left wanting a heftier taste of this man…I think Roxy has multiple series ongoing right now and I.m equally excited to see them complete as well but hopefully they get more attention to fave charecters going forward.
The final book in the Billionaires in Heat Series. As always with Roxy’s books the cast was diverse but I felt you only really got to know them on the surface level in this book, I didn’t have a MMC that I was really rooting for & didn’t have the depth that I felt with the middle three books. The book moves at a good pace and the storyline is engaging. It was a good book and it further developed the backstory of why the switch’s happened. I loved that the books are set in Western Australia. It is definitely worth the read if you love omegaverse books. I like the links back to all the past books as seeing the previous switches.

I read this book as an ARC but this review is given voluntary and is my honest opinion.
2.5 Stars rounded up because this author usually does better.
I've had it!!
It's too much, too much. TOO MUCH!!
Authors keep trying to add more and more to keep things fresh and new, I guess....but I've hit my breaking point. Omegaverses started out one on one. One alpha and one omega. I mean it kinda fits with the whole "MINE" possessiveness of alphas, right?! I mean alphas fight other alphas that sniff around their mate, not invite them to tea and offer to suck their dick while they pass the omega around. Then we had OV Reverse Harems which weren't so bad, usually it was because an omega shortage and packs were a thing out of necessity. Now this poly bullshit has just gone completely off the rails. All these OV books I read now all seem to have not one but two omegas and at least a beta thrown in for good measure. Topped off with 3-4 alphas and everybody fucking everybody and it's just a jumbled mess.
The problem is when you have so many relationships you are trying to write and build, they just all end up getting diluted. You don't have the page count (unless it's 500-600) to give us deep meaningful relationships that we are invested in. So, it falls flat and feels insincere, and it doesn't work anyway if the purpose is to give us something good and new. I'd rather read an amazing book in a tired old genre, than some surface level page filler in what the next new trend is supposedly.
In this one there are three alphas, two omega/switches and a beta. It was written with the two switches as mostly the main focus with the beta too. The author was building their relationships between each of them, and then they with each of the alphas. So, it's like a story with 13 relationships having to be built. (Emily with relationships with the 3 alphas, Derrek, and Sorren is 5. Plus, Derrek with the 3 alphas and Soren is 4. Finally, Sorren with the 3 alphas gives us a grand total of 13 relationships). There can be such a thing as too much of a good thing.
A lot of the story to me felt like the author going "oh yeah, I need to throw a scene together with these two too." It didn't progress and flow in an organic way. And to make it easier for her but weirder for me as a reader, this author has in a few books in this series just made almost every character all of a sudden bisexual once the packs are forming. Even though many of the characters expressed that they have never even thought of relations with the same sex. It felt cheap and rushed doing it that way.
I feel bad because I've been getting more pissy about this the more books I keep reading doing similar things, and I feel like Roxy is just getting all the snappy rant right now. I actually really like most of her books and the creative worlds of her different series. But I guess I'm also aggravated because I have been waiting for Finn's story and full background since this series started and I felt let down.
I really liked all the characters except poor Lang, who I still liked, but felt like he was just thrown in there to give a connection of Finn to Emily. There were all these little things introduced and then never really followed up on with the characters and in their relationships. Like Finn being dominant and taking on a Dom roll with Creed. It was shown for an instance in the beginning and never addressed again throughout the book. Also, Lang multiple times states to Derrek that he loves to put "big boys" in their place, but he never does. I felt the ball was dropped or we didn't get good closure on Vast Horizens and their ilk, Brigadier Nash especially, the sister and her lost mate situation, and even how or if Sorren's aliment was fixed after bonding. Finn finally getting down to smexy business. I was expecting intensity and fire, but he only gets one quick scene, ffs. Emily never even went out to see her bees, got her damn PhD, and they only joked about what her power might be, but we never found out what it really was. What the hell!
It was just all over the place and a little bit of a hot mess. Trim out so much of the poly crap so that while we might get less relationships but what we do get is more meaningful. And while we love our smut, I at least need a decent cohesive story to go along with it. Which I do usually get from Roxy, but this one missed the mark. Okay, sorry rant over.
I enjoyed the ending to this series, and will definitely be reading more of Roxy's books in the future. So you might be asking, why 3 stars?
Here's why: --I wish there had been more focus on Emily's role as a scientist, and that Sorren's issues weren't so easily resolved. It undercut the tension for me. --The last several bondings felt rushed, and like they were happening to 'wrap things up' rather than because it was true to where the characters were in the moment. --I really wish Finn's character had gotten a deeper look, individually and in his relationships with his pack members. I wanted more bonding with Sorren. I wanted to understand his connection to Langston more. It still feels like we were only allowed to scrape the surface of who he is, and after 5 books of build-up, that was a little disappointing. --I feel like this book needed more page time to flesh out a plot. We get so much of Emily's current living situation at the beginning, and her struggles with her ex-boyfriend and mom, and then after that it feels like we're tumbling too fast through all the plot points and their immediate resolutions. --Overall, I've noticed that the last three books of this series have had this issue, as books 1 and 2 felt much more fleshed out and appropriately paced. The author's other omega novels also felt more grounded in that way, so this seems to just be a problem I am having with this series in particular.
Look: it was a cute, fun omegaverse novel. I had a good time. I'm super grateful I got an ARC to review. But the above thoughts will come as no shock to anyone that has seen my other reviews, and I would still recommend this if a short, fluffy omegaverse novel is what you're craving.
Whoop Finn's book. Can't really be read standalone since there are so many cameos. The double Soren did my head in. Could've been longer. Felt a bit creepy with the way Em was guided into the program. I thought they knew she was a switch from the go, I'm glad it wasn't like that. Derek was sweet. I wanted to see more of him and Finn, given their cyber chemistry. Em and Derek were a package deal. Em and Lang had a mentor/mentee relationship and Finn became her boss. Soren was the reason for the whole project, with Creed as his mate tying the pack together.
Soren felt like he was cured from the moment he came in contact with Emily. I did like how he became her crutch through everything. Rick sucked. Finn was badass cold with his command. Felt sorry for the sister, but I'm glad she got her own reprieve from shitty parents. I couldn't decide if the father was worse for what he did or the mother. Bit of a bee lesson thrown in. Felt like things were over too quickly. I enjoyed it.

I finished this in less than 24 hours, so it’s safe to say that I enjoyed this book. It’s book five in a series of standalones which each have different topics, but tie in together. This book was the last of the series and we got a couple of great scenes where the characters from previous books dropped in.
Emily is a student who is recruited to work for a genius billionaire. She forms a pack with her Beta best friend, her professor, her professor’s billionaire friend, their body guard, and the bodyguard’s mate. It’s a lot, but the relationships between the pack mates in this story are all unique, which adds a nice variety.
I hate to pick favorites but Finn was the most interesting pack mate to me. He’s incredibly intelligent, astronomically dominant, and a tad bit asexual (maybe?)
TLDR: Spicy, reverse-harem omegaverse with a large pack and a variety of relationship dynamics.
I have been craving ov something shocking so this could not have come at a better time
I absolutely love this world Roxy has created and I've been dying to know more about Finn as we've seen him pop up throughout the series and he did not disappoint. His quiet dominance was drool worthy to the extreme.
Creed, Lang and Derek were all very swoon worthy for different reasons but Soren and Finn absolutely stole the show for me. Soren's story broke my heart but Emily and the rest of the pack were right there to pick up the pieces in the best way.
OMG this is the last Billionaires in Heat and my favorite of the five! I couldn't put it down and read the whole book in one sitting! Where can I get my own Tyler Creed!!! I absolutely loved the story line and the characters were wonderful! Sorry to see the end of this series
This is the fifth and final book in the Billionaires in Heat series, a set of interconnected stand-alones. The book is quite spicy and includes MM, MF and group interactions.
Tropes and themes include: ✨ Omegaverse ✨ Why choose ✨ Omega awakening ✨ Designation switch ✨ Billionaire pack ✨ Mate bonds ✨ Who did this ✨ Large pack
Rating: 4/5 Stars 3/5 Flames
The Lovely: I enjoyed the story and how we got some conclusions related to the designation switches explored in prior books. This concept was new to me and posed some interesting questions. I also liked the FMC’s relationship, in particular, with the other pack member who experienced designation switches.
The Mundane: I struggled to get into this story - the beginning felt a bit light and fluffy to me. By about the 40%, when we meet and get to know X, I found myself engaged in the story.
Recommendation: I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. This is ultimately a romance focused sweet story that was a fun read. I’ve read these books out of order and I do think I’ll go back to read the few I missed. If you like billionaire romance but in an omegaverse world, I think you would like this series.
First, I will say that this is the last in a series. While you don't *need* to read the others in the series - I highly recommend it, as this wraps up a larger storyline (where designations can "switch" from one to the other) and there's a couple of scenes where characters from the other books show up. My first Alpha/beta/omega book was by this author and I got drawn into the omegaverse! I love the "chosen family" trope - which ultimately what a pack is. Emily, a beta PHD student, and her IT savvy beta boyfriend and drawn into the mysterious alpha Finn Visser's company- via Emily's PHD mentor Langston. Ex military and uber protective Creed round out the alpha's in the pack- who are trying to save their omega - Soren. Note there are both established and new MM relationships. This author does some really great spicy scenes, in the very best ways that add to the story as opposed to detracting or feeling like they are there for the "oooo" factor. I loved getting to see characters from the previous books, love there's no moment where everything goes to hell in a hand-basket (and we have to read through a 3rd act redemption arc) and love everyone gets their HEA. Please check the trigger warnings, while there's lots of sex - there are some other themes that might not sit well with some readers. OK - now I'm off to give the entire series a re-read since ALL the books are out now! Happy reading!
I received an advance copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I love Roxy Collins, but this book felt flat. I’d been looking forward to Visser’s story and what I got was a few crumbs and pages and pages of nookie scenes. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy spice but I wanted more than just a flimsy plot.
As soon as I started this book I was HOOKED. It’s so fascinating how the author created this world and honestly the world building is top notch. I love the science that she throws in, especially the bee facts! I think it’s adorable.
I’m SO excited for one of the alphas in this book. I’ve been anxiously awaiting his story and I was not at all disappointed.
This was fantastic. The tiny bit of angst from outside the pack, and the anxiety as we learn more about one of her new pack mates awful past.
But she was so sweet with each of them and them in return. I could really feel the emotion through the pages.
I’m so happy with how the series ended and, legit, everyone should read this book. It was SO GOOD.
I've been waiting since book 1 for Finn's story. It did not disappoint! I've loved every character in this series. They are all a part of my memory to cherish forever. I can not express my thanks enough to Roxy Collins for sharing them with us!!
Finally got Finn’s story! I have been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint. I had so many questions and all of them were answered! It was the perfect way to wrap up a series of interconnected standalones.
This is book five in the series, and the final book. It's about Finn, Emily, and the rest of the pack. There are switches, dominant-possessive Alphas and lots of twists and turns.
Emily has a things for bees, and she is doing a whole study on them. Which comes in handy when she gets employed by Finn to help with a study. She meets Soren, one things leads to another, and Emily slowly forms her pack. She is guarded though with a hard childhood past. You'll have to read to find out all the delicious details of the heats, bonding, and everything in between! The spice is so good! I also love that characters from all of the previous books are interconnected with this book as well! A must read!
Y'all, I just finished the ARC for this, and, gah, perfect end to an amazeball series. But loving this one specifically was "as inevitable as a thermodynamic hexagonal grid." IYKYK. Roxy, you are magnificent and this whole series has been spectacular. If you haven't started the series yet, you really really should.
Like everything I've read from Roxy, she doesn't disappoint! I've wanted Finn's story forever! He intrigued me since I read snippets of him in the other books! I'm happy he got his HEA.. Emily was beautiful and Derek?! Miss Ma'am.. he's just yum.. Soren. My heart broke for him and Creed! Thank you for such a fantastic book and tying up all the loose ends from the other books in this series.. this is definitely a keeper!!! Bravo Roxy!! Wow.

2.5 stars. I had such high hopes for this one. I was really looking forward to Finn’s story. I felt Soren’s condition was glossed over, he’s kept like he’s in Jurassic Park and then just let out and he’s magically better and apart from being a bit in pain his condition has basically disappeared. It just felt like a plot vehicle and didn’t have any real consequence. I also felt icky with the way she asked for claiming bites from someone she’d met a handful of times in her first heat. The plot felt also rushed in general. I do like the alphas and I found the first quarter of the book interesting and it just dipped off from there.

"Good families are a gift, and bad ones can be a curse, but pack is always a choice. And we choose you."
Emily Nash is a beta PhD student studying bees, but when her former mentor, Langston Fall, returns after a long absence, he has a new project for Emily to work on. Emily agrees to find out more about the job and ends up at the compound of Vise Solutions, Finn Visser's company. He offers Emily and her boyfriend, Derek Summers, jobs at his company. But as they learn more about the project, it's clear that a working relationship isn't all that this pack wants from the two betas.
I have been dying for Finn Visser and his pack's story since he was first mentioned in The Omega Merger. I highly recommend reading all of the books in the series since you get some of the background for certain characters and can understand some of the past that they reference. However, you can definitely read this book as a standalone too. I love reading omegaverse and why choose so it's always fun to see the different elements that authors put in their worlds. I think the designation switching was a really interesting twist and I love that the series ties together with multiple switches.
I absolutely loved that there were chapters from different characters' POV as I felt it really helped the reader understand each of the characters. I do wish that a little more focus on Finn's character though. He has been such an enigma since the first book and I felt like his backstory and relationships could have been fleshed out a little bit more. However, I adored the dynamic between Emily and Soren and Creed was probably my favorite. I always love a big tough character who is a teddy bear for his people. There is definitely plenty of spice in this book with MF, MM, and group play.
I was so lucky to receive an early copy of this and I recommend it to anyone interested in omegaverse.
This book is the "bee's knees"! Billionaires in Heat series comes to an end with this book. So many series questions are answered. Finn and the reason for his need to understand switches. We get to see all our old friends from this series in the Switcheroo club. The pack interactions together are sweet as honey. Emily and her love for all her pack members is a joy to watch develop.
