The heart knows
Malia and Walt. At face value a sweet relationship that isn’t but is. The beginning had me wondering her age based on emotions and behavior. The abduction and harm were drastic and made for an interesting development as a chunk of their story has them in separate countries. The focus on another Sentinal was timely, but also confusing as they didn’t find him or Malfour, but instead the focus was on rescuing Malia and the scientists. I wish the ending had a resolution and moment with the captives after they were rested and knew safe. Malia and Walt got their HEA, but it seemed rushed and js me focusing more on Ally and the two Charlie member Hank and Gabe.

Wow!
Absolutely love all Elie Master's books and have every one of them, including books by Jet too, but this book I would rate as one of the very best.
Fantastic thrilling story that had my nerves in edge, and as for the dominance but sensitivity of Hank, pure chemistry.

An exciting, amazing book that I totally loved!! A beautiful love story between Malia and Walt that is exciting and heartbreaking at times. Plenty of action and suspense throughout the whole book! Thrilling
Another great instalment in Charlie team with Walt taking the lead.
Full of excitement and adventure this kept me riveted from the 1st page. I love how the whole team was there to support Walt and help his recovery.
Really enjoyable book and I’m now even more intrigued within the series!

Rescuing Malia is the final book in Ellie Masters’ Charlie Team: Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists series. It was another action packed, page turning suspense story with just the right amount of romance as Walt works to rescue Malia so they can find their HEA.

I have loved pretty much all the books with the Guardians, but for me, this one ... MISSED the mark .... It was confusing, from the get go , to me felt rushed and had no idea what in the world they were talking about.....
I was really looking forward to some more good reading but this one was rushed and evidently not well thought thru .....proof read or whatever needed to be done ..... this story is not what I’ve come to expect from miss Ellie....

once the story starts with Malia's aggravation with walt .... yet she meets for dinner with malakie her brother but walt shows up as well and off they go to dinner. Walt suspects something is wrong but he's so in tune to malia he overlooks the trouble coming .... the book gains suspense then wham bam it's a mess.............. Walt has multiple GSW’s to the chest and a hit to the shoulder , and upon waking from surgery They allow him to go with them to the parking lot ??? this is only 1 of many scenes that does not mesh well with Miss Ellie's NORMAL writings ................. he gets into a wheel chair still hooked up to an IV and goes to the crime scene with his team to retrieve a tiny thumb drive from under a planter in the parking lot.....
2nd scene ....He drops to his knees to reach the drive when Sky could not find it. .....
He returns to the hospital because he started bleeding from his stitches ..DUH .... but he had the strength to get down on his knees and reach for a microchip or some device malaki tried to give him and he thru it under the planter ??? now he's back in the hosp,where he stays for ten days because he is too weak to stand. 3rd scene ... Release day as Sky buttons the last button on his shirt cause he’s having difficulty,..yet then she examines his wound like a good Dr should. 4th scene.... Walt hears Mitzy clearly through his com and again very next sentence Mitzy puts her hand on his shoulder.
just a few examples of my confusion, Sorry Ellie, but Rescuing Malia for me was a very messy read......Grant it the intense story of Walt and Malia.. was a nice read as all guardians claim their women are .... BUT A LOT WAS OVERLOOKED
from the capture, the extraction, to the sexual ending ... and here again almost 4 chptrs devoted to their making love /having sex on the plane with the shower running after HOW MANY took showers ??
I'm not sure any plane / jet has that ability
I truly enjoy when the RUFI and bumblebees are released :)
I understand we don't always have good days and our lives get interrupted ...
For me this book was rushed ...

Ellie Masters really loaded up the tension, anticipation and suspense in Rescuing Malia. It was the heart beating wildly in your chest kind of suspense. With Malfor and The Third Sentinel wielding their evil, the stakes are astronomically high with what could be mankind hanging in the balance. This book is really in two parts with the majority of the action and danger in the secind half. Make no mistake though, everything that occurs in the first half is buildup and will keep you riveted.
Walt is a man on a mission; making Malia his. The object of his mission may not be 100% amenable to his advances. Afterall, he'd abandoned her once without explanation. A deadly altercation changes the whole game before it really gets started. Now it's a waiting, gathering intel and planning the best course of action mission. Walt needs Malia by his safe and is willing to sacrifice himself if need be. Fortunately his teammates and Skye keep him on the straight and narrow. When things seem the bleakest Malia needs to maintain the belief that Walt will come for her.

What a fantastic read Rescuing Malia is a steamy age gap romance, edge of your seat race against time. Malia who works at the Guardian Grind and Walt a member of Charlie team have an incredible smouldering chemistry just waiting to erupt.
We start with Malia and Walt dancing around each other, the sexual tension between them getting hotter and hotter, so much so you can actual feel it. Then you get that "moment" when Walt decides the dance is over and lets Malia know exactly what he plans to do. But fate intervenes, Malia's brother a quantum physicist and Malia are kidnapped and Walt is shot trying to prevent it.
With their loved ones are held hostage as leverage, Malia's brother, along with other experts in quantum physic are forced to put their knowledge together. Now it's a race against time...... Finding Malia and her brother is only the first problem, rescuing them and the other hostages is another problem.

This was one hot, hot, hot story of Malia and Walt. If he only got that second date! As usual with this author, you are taken on one wild ride and you only have to hold on to keep going to the next page. The Guardians have their most intense situation so far in their history. I can't see a way out, but this author leads you on a victorious journey and the emotions that are pulled out from you as the reader are awe inspiring. I can't wait for Gabe and Hank, ooh, la, la, that is going to be an explosive story for sure. Always a one-click author for me. She is the beginning and the end.

I swear I surprised that my kindle didn’t catch fire , it did scorch my fingers . This book was so good at keeping you on the edge with the hot words and the edge of your seat breathless suspense. I loved Walt his growly bossiness and his deep seated need to find and protect Malia.
I’m not sure how Ellie Masters writes about stuff I have no idea is in her imagination or based on truth but this one cleared the bejesus out of me.
Can’t wait til rescuing Ally comes out , it sounds like twice the pleasure and probably twice the intrigue.

Not sure how I’ve gotten behind in reading Ellie’s releases but I just started and finished this book and it was captivating. I’m always amazed by the imagination she brings to the Guardian books with all the high tech imaginative defense technology but her incorporation of physics and the quantum fission vs quantum fusion explanations in this book really highlight the extraordinary research she must do to bring such incredible depth to her stories. The alpha-growly love story is a bonus as well!

Another great episode in this series. Walt is captivated by Malia but waits a bit too long to make his move. That very night she and her brother are kidnapped leaving Walt shot and critically injured. As Walt slowly recovers, Malia, her brother and a group of quantum physicists are being forced to develop a cold fission weapon. The technical aspects were a little beyond me, but I loved the characters and the action was non-stop. Wonderful read!

But he won’t let it go! She is meeting her brother for dinner and Walt squirms his way in to go along. Then the drama begins! Malia and her brother are kidnapped and Walt is shot twice in the chest.

If you love a good alpha/growly man who takes charge with "his woman", you'll love Walt. Malia and Walt hit a little bit of a snag on their first date which if you have read the previous book, you'll know the details, but the second date is just as exciting.

For me, I had a hard time liking Walt in the beginning. He had absolutely no right to insert himself into a brother and sister dinner. Then to toy with her over dinner, I lost absolutely all respect for him after that. When the action and suspense pick up, it’s non stop to the end. Walt did get better in my opinion later on. Another great addition to the Charlie team series.

DNF. - I couldn’t even stomach the first chapter to read more. This chapter seemed like it was written by a juvenile. I seriously had to check that this was written by Ms. Masters! I have loved her earlier work … but lately her work has become cheesy and predictable!

A wonderful addition to the Guardian HRS series! Malia and Walt are great characters in this ever escalating story. Such a sweet and Hot HEA! Can’t wait for the next one!
