Jessica Beck is a pseudonym used by Tim Myers. Jessica Beck is the penname of an author who has been nominated for the Agatha Award and named an Independent Mystery Booksellers Association national bestseller nearly a dozen times.
Jessica Beck loves donuts, and has the figure to prove it. It's amazing what people can convince themselves is all in the name of research! For each recipe featured in the donut mysteries, a dozen more are tried and tested.
When not concocting delicious treats, Beck enjoys the rare snowfalls near her home in the foothills of North Carolina.
Who are these people?!?!? They go around a small town, where "everybody knows everybody", accusing people of murder, asking for alibis, and demanding all kinds of private information. The police chief not only allows this but also encourages it. As for "everybody knows everybody" they seem to not know a number of the suspects.
Totally unlikeable main characters, totally unbelievable actions.
I loved this series. The family dynamics are endearing and fun to be a part of. The mystery was good and lots of potential suspects kept me guessing. Sad this was the last in the series but looking forward to reading more if this author.
Another series read! Looking back... storylines are really great and relaxing! Nothing too severe but interesting and all books were entertaining!! That's over 50 books of yours I've now read Jessica Beck! Definitely recommend!
2014-02-15. I enjoyed this a lot more than the previous book in the series as it went back to the normal format. Love the interactions between granddaughter and grandfather. Their sleuthing seems to have taken a more "official" status as they are working more closely with the sheriff rather in competition with him--I liked this. Storyline wasn't the best but I love this series for the relationships and it delivered on that.
Victoria and Moose are once again looking for a killer. As with all these books hijinks ensues and you are not able to figure out the killer until the very end. Great job.
