God grant me the serenity to not strangle the historical preservationist with her own vintage camera strap... Sierra f*cking Barrett.
My best friends' baby sister. The girl who broke me eleven years ago. Now she's back—living at my lodge, questioning my every decision, and acting like the summer her brothers left town didn't wreck me for a decade.
They don't know. Nobody knows. Except maybe my dead grandmother, who left me her ring and a knowing smile.
Sierra wants to preserve history. I want to burn ours to the ground.
Problem is, every time she looks at me, I remember exactly why we almost destroyed everything to be together—and I'm starting to think the wreckage might be worth it.
Wrecking Mount Everett is book 3 in the Bro Code series, a steamy small-town Christmas romance set in a snowy mountain lodge in Maine, where first loves don't stay buried, three brothers don't know their best friend broke the code first, and the only thing more reckless than their history is what develops in the darkroom.
Echo wields words as a heart-piercing sword cutting through characters' souls. If you want passion-packed small towns and fierce hearts so steamy they’ll grab you by the throat like the ultimate alpha-hole with skillful hands and forearm porn for days, Echo is your girl. Every book promises beautifully brutal romances with a dose of angst, a double shot of romance, followed by a scorchin’ hot sexy times chaser that will leave you panting for more.
Born and raised in New England, she has Ben & Jerry’s in her heart, and real Vermont maple syrup dripping through her veins. She's an unapologetic Swiftie embracing her Fuck-With-Me-and-Find-Out era, and a certified Fall Out Boy groupie who’s low-key addicted to ink and metal–hello tattoos and piercings!
When she's not plotting world domination, she's busy either crafting stories that'll make your heart race faster than a caffeine-induced heart palpitation or designing some of romancelandia’s most coveted covers for fellow authors.
To all you lovely readers out there, Echo has one thing to say: she adores every one of you who read her books, turning her dreams into reality. As for talking about herself in the third person? Well, let's just say she's over it.
Echo out, but her fierce heroines and steamy stories are here to stay!
I usually love this author's books, so I'm going to preface with some caveats, since they likely impacted my opinion of this story: 1. I grew up in a county that survived largely on the travel and tourism industry 2. My husband works in the heritage field 3. I work in a library (i.e., archive-adjacent field)
That being said, a lot of things that didn't work for me probably wouldn't be an issue for most people. And it's too bad, because the tropes found in this book are ones I usually enjoy.
I didn't believe the timeline/logistics of things, like the last minute events that were scheduled.
Everett was a little flat for me, though he had his moments (like defending Sierra from the guy who made icky insinuations-- and what was the other woman doing defending icky guy?)
My main issue was with Sierra. I didn't believe her at all. There were times when I just wanted her to grow up-- she's in her late twenties, has her own career, and yet is afraid of her brothers finding out she is in love with Everett (again, this is a trope that has worked for me in other books, including books by this author, but didn't work for me here)? She also wasn't believable as a heritage preservationist, or whatever they called her. Most of what she did was take pictures to 'document' whatever events were going on. She did very little heritage work and was too close to the resort emotionally to be objective. And what she did-- if she was as good as she supposedly was, she wouldn't have made the choices she did. It would've been better if she had been a documentary photographer with a focus (no pun intended!) on heritage buildings and properties; if the author framed it correctly, she still could've kept the 'saving history' parallels. And the hot tub scene-- how did the guys not know what was going on (unless it didn't occur to them since it was their sister)? I also don't give Sierra a pass for saying "the historical documentation needs to be centralized. Everything's scattered across three different archives" in that scene. On first glance, it seems to make sense-- put all the information in one place. However, where are these archives and who controls them? You can't just move things around haphazardly and she should know better than to suggest that you can, even if her brain functions were compromised.
I truly look forward to the next book in the series because I really do like this author's writing.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

We're back at the Lodge and this time it's to find out more about what Sierra and Everett are up to. He was gone for 9 years and the reason he ran was Sierra. But what did she do to him?
Sierra's 3 brothers are Everett's partners and they're brainstorming ideas to save the lodge. They come up with the plan for a festival and a reality TV show whose host is known to find scandals for ratings. Will Tara discover the secrets of the lodge and can Sierra and Everett be brave enough to find their way towards each other?
This story was fantastic and boy did I cry at the last few chapters. It has everything from fun to heartbreak to love. It's perfect and I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
I enjoyed being back at the Morgan lodge again, this time for Everett and Sierra's story. Sierra is helping her brothers to try and save the lodge. Sierra thinks preserving the history will help, while her brothers think hiring a reality tv host to film a festival will help. There is so much chaos that happens as the tv host, Tara tries to dig up juicy dirt on Sierra and Everett. Sierra remembers how much she loved Everett when they were younger and wonders if they still have a chance. I couldn't help but root for this pair. They had such steamy chemistry and an undeniable connection. Will Sierra and Everett save the lodge and each other? I look forward to reading more from Echo Grayce.
I absolutely love this series! This was a fantastic addition. We got to see some of Everett and Sierra’s story in Surviving The Holly-Days, so I was very excited to see them take center stage in this book.
This book is filled with yearning, from both Everett and Sierra. And they yearn, until they can’t anymore. It is also filled with finding yourself and your place in it all.
I especially loved the found family vibes with all of the girls, Charlie, Holly, Eve, Sierra, and Dixie. I am super excited to see this gang again next year for lots of hilarious hijinks, spice, and heart!
This book had all the feels, conflict and romance with a side of spice! Everett & Sierra came in hot with sass and old wounds and leaned into a love almost lost with a nice slow burn. I enjoyed all of the supporting characters, even though I jumped in at book 3. I appreciated the backstory woven into the story and it totally made sense why everyone was the way they were. The pace of this book was nice. Not rushed and ending in a way that was wrapped in a bow! The Bonus scenes/POVs were the cherry on top! Thank yooooouuuu! Now I’ll start the first book while I wait for November 2026 😭
There’s book boyfriends, and then there’s book boyfriends and Jesus Christ Echo Grayce delivered. Again. This series is hands down my favourite Christmas series anyway, because they are just so funny…but this one had so much second chance heart. Their connection…the YEARNING, and the hot tub and dark room scenes?! Christ almighty, I don’t know about wrecking Everett. It wrecked me…in the final chapters I legit held my breath reading. God it’s a definite reread, I’m salty I can’t read for the first time again. Because I loved it so hard!
What a trip being back at the lodge with Sierra and Everett. To say these two have some issues to resolve is an understatement. Throw in her brothers, his best friends and business partners, a strained relationship with his father, and a scheming tv personality and what could possibly go wrong? This book packed laughs, steamy times, and heartfelt moments throughout leaving me wanting more.
I'm really enjoying this fun holiday romance series, and I simply loved Everett and Sierra. They game my heart and heartstrings a solid workout while also making me smile and laugh. A seductive blend of emotions, feelings, humor, heart and swoon lightened my mood and had me very firmly in my happy reading space.
It took me longer to get into this book than the previous two in the series. I thought it had more serious angst to it - not as light hearted as the previous books - but I really wanted Sierra to take the final leap. Love how the girls rallied around her. Really enjoyed how Sierra and Everett finally got on the same page and how it turned out.
Second chance love at its unbearably most tortured. The longing jumps off the page and when they finally… finally win their HEA and bring their love out in the open—whew, all the feels.
