I’m a big fan of the TV Show Alias, John Wick movies, and all things Marvel. Black Widow has always been my favorite character. The concept of alternating the human body and creating super soldiers has always been exciting to watch and read. Author M.C. Paas’ Broken Rules of Hunt has this vibe.
Broken Rules of Hunt primarily focuses on Wildcat, a character who discovers that an unknown syndicate has placed a bounty on her. So she runs, but there’s a guy, Fox, who, like every other person out there, is after her; however, he is also drawn to her. The feeling is mutual, but she doesn’t know if she can trust her.
As she tries to dodge everyone, she discovers more about how she came to be—who she is and how she was developed. As readers, we see who raised her. There are some dark moments. Overall, I enjoyed Broken Rules of Hunt.

This book was such a crazy, wild ride but in the best way possible.
This book is a captivating read that kept me hooked until the end. At first, I wasn't used to the third person but the writing style itself drew me in—it was smooth, enganing and I lost myself in the story soon. As the plot unfolds, it grips you completely.
The story itself was gripping, filled with intrigue, tension and the right amount of romance mixed into it all. The main characters were another highlight. They were both such compelling and interesting characters. I loved how we got to see both of their perspectives and the banter between the characters was electric. Every interaction they had was charged with tension 🔥
"Broken Rules of the Hunt" is a compelling read that combines action, romance and suspense. If you love all three in a book, this might be your cup of tea 🍵

I think this is a debut novel from M.C. Pass and it’s sooo good. As soon as I picked it up I was immediately hooked and read it within a day.
The plot just absolutely drags you in. There is so much going in, with loads of twists and turns alongside the romance story between Wildcat and Fox. It’s not the spiciest of books but the spice is good when it features.
This is a slow burn and the tension and pining is really good. Fox as the MMC has got game and his flirt and banter to on point!! He falls first and clearly adores Wildcat.
Wildcat as the FMC is amazing. Absolutely loved her!! She is the toughest, certainly doesn’t need a man to save her and is totally able to hold her own! As the story develops we learn more and more about her. She develops more and more but she still holds onto her strength. She is an excellent FMC.
This is a great book. If you want a fast paced story with strong characters with plenty of twists and tension, this is a great one and highly recommended.

Rules of the Hunt follows Wildcat as she eludes capture from the agency. Samantha Smith is heading the tracking expedition that is following Wildcat all over Europe. The agency wants her. Enter Fox, he is cunning, witty, smart and the banter between Fox and Wildcat is off the charts. Fox is a double agent, both sides of the coin type of man. He is also quite wealthy. But can he be trusted?
There are a few other characters as well which round out the story; Ethan (Agent Black, Raven), Bear, Wolf, Vipere, and Aigle. There were so many characters that I had to take notes to figure out how they were connected and how important they truly were to the story. This web of a story focuses on who Wildcat is, where she came from, and what is she hiding from the agency?
Overall, a good story, not an easy read due to the fact there are a lot of characters which are important to the story (lots of moving parts), and a HEA which felt a little drawn out.

This book was such an unexpected ride for me. At first, the third-person style felt a bit different, but soon the writing pulled me in. The story itself kept me hooked with its mix of action, romance, and suspense all balanced well. The main characters were really interesting and full of life. I loved seeing things from both their points of view because it added depth to their connection. What really stood out was how the story combined emotional moments with thrilling twists without feeling too much or too little Overall, a solid 4 star for me.Thank you so much to the author and Ever After PR for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving a honest review

This book was like nothing I have ever read before! It was honestly so unique in it’s on way, it was so detailed and well written.
This book had so much going on, action, romance, suspense and emotional depth. And it all blended together absolutely perfectly.
The characters were fantastic fox and wildcat, their banter and flirtation was twisted but was amazing, the chemistry between the two was just perfect in every way.

I binged "BROKEN RULES OF THE HUNT" because I couldn't leave this unique and riveting storyline with strong, loveable characters. M.C. Paas's writing is addictive and this is like no other book I have read.

For Wildcat, it’s hunt or be hunted as an explosive expert employed by the agency . Which is exactly the situation she’s presently in after a mission gone astray. While working on a job to catch “Fox”, she found herself betrayed by her employer. Now hurt and outed by the agency that once employed her and a target to all with a grudge Now that her real identity was out in the open a past she was running from has come back to haunt her with a bounty on her head.
This book starts out slow then becomes action packed, filled with romance, betrayal and forgiveness. Recommended for those that like spy/ espionage with spice.

This was a very interesting read for me. Our FMC, Wildcat, is such a unique character. This book gave me action, intrigue, romance, deception, hope and more.
I love seeing the multiple sides of the main characters as well as the side characters. The story of Wildcat trying to elude capture was interesting and I loved the twists.
I love how we got to learn more about Wildcat as the story went on. We got to learn about her history and the secrets that she has. The agency was relentless in the pursuit of her.

I totally loved this book! It was fast paced with action and suspense. It also had some great romance moments and banter as well. This book was a cross between The Bourne Identity and Black Widow with a twist. I think this would make an amazing movie!

I'm giving this book 3 stars because the story line and plot was definitely a good one! And I loved the story itself! However it was really slow pace until about 60-70% (which made my reading pace a lot slowet than I enjoy) but once it picked up it became a book I couldn't put down. I will say the 3rd person POV had me confused on which main characters chapter I was reading, the author also threw in random chapters from other characters POVs and I felt that creates a choppy feeling.

In LOVEEEEE with everything about this book!! The characters, the story, the plot, the dynamics- everything was executed in such a way I was glued to the pages and it ended all too soon! Wildcat was THE baddest b*tch ever, and I’m completely obsessed with her. She could tell me to jump and I’d ask how high. And Fox, he was absolutely perfect for Wildcat. Together they had so much insane chemistry it was palpable. This was the authors debut which is so admirable because it really is fantastic, and I can’t wait to for more from her.

Delightful surprise in the world of romance books. I couldn't put the book down and had to finish it in one go. It has all the characteristics of a great romance book. "I'm going to save the world by myself" lead character, overconfident, lead male and heaps of twist, and turns to keep your interest until the end.

didn’t expect a book about criminals and bounty hunters to be this emotional, but here we are. M.C. Pass writes with a sharp edge, but underneath all the grit is a raw, beating heart. Wildcat’s arc is intense, she goes from untouchable to unraveling, and you feel every moment of that descent. Fox is complicated and dark in all the right ways, and their relationship feels earned, not rushed. The worldbuilding is sleek, and the pacing is cut-throat, but what sticks with me is how real the stakes felt, not just life or death, but love or loneliness. This was unforgettable.

I literally sent the author a message saying its like a good version of mission impossible for women. There were twists and turns and surprises waiting in unexpected places. And honestly i loved every moment.

Kombo paljust erinevast, aga pigem sobitus kokku ja mulle meeldis see, et see ei olnud üleliia spicy'de detailidega, vaid parasjagu õrritav kõrvallugu muu põnevuse kõrval - ehk ei olnud domineeriv liin, kuid samas oli kogu aeg kõrval ja pigem hästi kombineerituna.
