Landon Stokes' life is turned upside down when an angel is brought into the ER at St. Joeseph's Hospital one day with fatal wounds. As Landon hopelessly tries to save this stranger's life, the angel's supernatural gifts are transferred to him, and Landon becomes immersed into a whole new world, a world of war. Repeatedly faced with terrible decisions resulting in dangerous consequences and secret battles no other earthly eye can see, Landon views his new responsibility as a burden and struggles to find meaning in his life after everything is stripped from him. Everything except the angelic powers he would willingly give up for his old life.

This book is truly an entertaining read. The storyline is packed to the brim with action, while the text stays true to its evangelical roots without being too heavy for the average reader. It's a bit fluffy at times, with the writer's style being extremely descriptive at every turn. Still, for those who love the superhero genre but want something that breaks the (tired) mold, this is for you.
